bearren prompted: Blaine secretly runs around in short shorts while he’s home alone and sings to Wham!, and Kurt finds out/walks in on him.
Walking through the Andersons’ front door unannounced has become almost as familiar as walking through his own front door. Every Friday evening, Blaine’s parents are out of the house for one reason or another–a company dinner, a cocktail party, staff meetings, date nights–and Blaine constantly encourages his boyfriend to come over whenever Kurt decides he wants to give Blaine some company.
The first few times he’d arrived on the doorstep without calling ahead, Kurt had used the doorbell, just a bit too paranoid to waltz in without being certain he wouldn’t be intercepted by the critical, intimidating gaze of Blaine’s father. But the twinge of nervousness is long gone, and today Kurt digs out the key from under the mat and lets himself in without hesitation.
As soon as he steps inside, the telltale thrum of Blaine’s state-of-the-art sound system can be heard drifting down the staircase, and Kurt swears he hears the sound of light thumps instantly recognizable as his boyfriend’s feet dancing across the floorboards overhead. He smirks, following the music all the way until he reaches Blaine’s bedroom door. Blaine doesn’t notice when Kurt peeks his head in, and Kurt is met with a sight so downright adorable that he can’t bear to let his presence be known quite yet.
