London Designs 2016 Inspired By Hannibal: Part Two
Inspired by Abigail Hobbs, this design features a ribcage stitched with layers of seed beads to create a three dimensional design. It took approximately seven yards of chiffon to create both the dress and pegnoir. I restarted the beaded ribcage three times before I found the design I wanted. (It’s process can be found here.)
Time to Complete: February to 1st week of June.
Design Facets: Approx estimate of beads is 12K+. Red headpiece features velvet roses, berries, and silk hydrangea.
Materials: checkered red chiffon, red silk, satin lining, hand dyed lace, 1/8 inch sead beads, tulle, organza and satin ribbon, corset boning, elastic, teardrop beads.
Something a little different in the shop! Stay tuned for more, I will soon be doing large pixel pieces as a stream on Twitch! A little nervous, but it’ll be an easy way to show people how to make sprites of their own and show off some more complicated pieces I would like to work on.
Wow! I have the great opportunity to work with some truly amazing artists! This large beaded medallion ring was made by Chenoa Williams with cut glass beads and is inspired by a starry night ✨ It is a show stopper!! Torch-lit city; frost-grown city; city of gems and pale gold; sunken city: Prayer beads for the Faery and the Tuatha.
A prayer bead set inspired by the four holy cities and their treasures: spear, sword, stone, cauldron. Charms and a quartz crystal represent the treasures, while blue aventurine, snow quartz, pyrite and fire agate represent the cities. Wood represents the Tuatha, steadfast ones who remain.
