Bit late on the bandwagon, I know, but I’ve been busy and I work slow DX

Last week’s Rick and Morty episode blew me away, it’s definitely one of the best of the series so far - I can’t believe that ending! It’s left me super-inspired, so expect more Evil Morty fanart in the coming days. I haven’t gotten around to seeing the latest one yet, but I’m looking forward to seeing it tonight :)

How did President Clinton respond to the OJ Simpson trial and verdict? And as a little aside, how do you reckon Trump would have responded?

President Clinton released a statement about respecting the process and the jury’s verdict while expressing sympathy for the families of the victims. As the nation’s chief executive it wouldn’t have been appropriate for him to openly question the verdict. The judicial process worked its way through the system as it was meant to, and Presidents who understand, respect, and believe in this country’s rule of law should almost always be at the forefront of endorsing the laws that they take a Constitutional oath to enforce. A President’s personal opinion shouldn’t have any influence in the matter. Simpson was tried in a court of law and acquitted by a jury of his peers because the prosecution was unable to prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Clinton’s statement was pretty much exactly what the President of the United States should say in such a situation, no matter what any of us might think about the verdict.

As for President Trump, I imagine he would have probably offered his support for Mark Fuhrman while making sure to point out on several occasions that “both sides” were at fault on the night of the murders. Trump would probably echo Chris Rock’s “I’m not saying he should have killed her…but I understand” bit, except he’d actually be serious.
