bbc america comic con

San Diego Comic Con is right around the corner, and last year we brought all of you with us… by displaying your art on our jumbo-sized video cube! We’d like to do the same this year, but we need your help.

If you have fanart or fan crafts from Orphan Black or season 8 of Doctor Who, we’d like you to submit them to us for a chance to see them at the convention!

Here’s how to submit-

1. If you have fanart/fan crafts from Orphan Black or Doctor Who Season 8, send it at its highest resolution, under 9MB (otherwise we won’t receive it), as a JPEG or TIFF file.
2. Send it to artsubmission@bbcamerica.com and include your Tumblr username or however else you’d like to be credited. You don’t need a Tumblr account to submit!
3. If your artwork is chosen to be featured, we’ll respond with a release form for you to sign and send back to us. And don’t fret if your artwork isn’t chosen, it’s only because of the volume of submissions we’ll receive.

Deadline for submissions: June 12th, 12PM EST

And don’t worry- you still have ownership of your artwork if you submit it to us and will only be giving us permission to display it. We can’t wait to see what everyone sends us!

Due to the volume of submissions we’re accepting up to 3 pieces of artwork per person, please send each one as a separate e-mail.

ORPHAN BLOOPERS

We’ve noticed a running theme in our asks. A sampling:

  • Hey OBTumblr, can you post Orphan Black bloopers?
  • I’d love to see some OB bloopers. Do you take bribes or nah?
  • No bloops this year? What’s your glitch, OBTumblr?
  • Where are the mangoes and also the bloopers JW.
  • Shaysima or Cophine? Also bloopers.
  • I will send you an ask every day for the year until I get bloopers. 1/365
  • It’s been 3 years and you still haven’t posted a blooper. I believed in you, OBTumbs.
  • *** Send this to ten followers and you’ll have a great life. *** PS I know you’re hoarding bloopers, you big trolls.

Oh, so you want bloopers, huh? BLOOPERS, YOU SAY? You mean something like…

Or, I don’t know, a little of….

ARE THESE THE BLOOPS WHICH YOU SEEK?

Well #CloneClub, the wait is almost over.

That’s right. The long-awaited Orphan Black BLOOPER REEL will make its debut in SAN DIEGO at the ORPHAN BLACK COMIC-CON PANEL!

…but if you can’t wait ‘til the panel, here is a very special sneak peek.

SDCC 2015 MASTER POST

You can see more at our blog AND over at doctorwho & orphanblack.

San Diego Comic-Con is just a few days away (if you missed the masterposts for  Doctor WhoOrphan Black, and BBC America, you might want to go read them).

We figured what better way to celebrate SDCC than with…

#SDCC2015 BINGO!

You can play SDCC bingo at home. You can play it at the con. You can play it by yourself. You can play it with friends. You can play a new game every day or you can play it over the course of the weekend. Play it for brownie points or play it for the glory of sweet, sweet victory.

For those playing at home: look through SDCC pictures online to find photos of each bingo space! The world is your oyster.

For those playing at the con: take a photo when you find a space! This is a win-win because you’ll have photographic evidence for when you school everyone at BINGO and you’ll have pictures of cherished memories. Score.

Have fun and have a great con, wherever you may be!

OBTumblr is pleased to announce…

WHERE: Southpaw Social, 815j St., San Diego

WHO: Everyone in #CloneClub is invited. All people. All clones. All ages. All geek monkeys. All leopards. Bring your seestras. Bring your seestra-brothers. Leave your sharpened pencils at home.

WHY: For science.

#CloneClub Meetup FAQ

Do I need a Comic-Con ticket to attend the meetup?
Nope. You don’t need a Comic-Con ticket OR a ticket for the meetup. ZERO TICKETS REQUIRED.

No tickets! That’s terrific news. So, how do I get in to the meetup?
The meetup is first come, first served. The line outside of Southpaw Social officially starts at 11am PT. OBTumblr will be there early, possibly with snacks.

Cool. What will happen at this meetup besides, you know, meeting up?

*The very first Alison-inspired Cloneplay Theater Challenge.

*Rad Cosima makeovers.

(Yep. Really.)

*A delicious Helena buffet.

*A clone yourself photo booth.

*A pop-up shop with OB swag, courtesy of the BBC shop.

*And dancing. Did we mention the dancing?

I’m not a great dancer.
It’s ok. Neither are we.

Can’t wait to see you there, #CloneClub!
