A couple friends and I are embarking on the Bread Baker’s Apprentice Challenge in 2014. Undecided whether we’ll go with one recipe a week or the slightly (but really, only slightly) more ambitious book completion within the year. There are 64 recipes in the book; a few of are for pre-ferments (starters for other recipes rather than finished breads), and several are variations on a single theme (there are three white bread variations, three kinds of focaccia, a couple of recipes for sweet-bread frostings or glazes, and fully five variations on ciabatta) - I’d be inclined to do variations together or at least in quicker succession so I can properly compare and find my favorite.
