#ReclaimMLK: There was no shortage of actions happening in New York today for Martin Luther King Day, and I decided to cover an action right in my home neighborhood of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The hateful rhetoric against Arabs, Muslims, and immigrants continues to intensify both nationally and locally. Bay Ridge is home to the largest Arab and Muslim community in New York City. A large gathering of locals rallied in the streets to show solidarity with people of color and immigrants. The march ended at a church where people came together to build community and understanding. Today, we honor the legacy of Martin Luther King and the civil rights revolution.

“I’m sturdy and grown. I’ve made it to the 64 oz size. I’ll be able to overlook Staten Island and Manhattan from here forever. I can enjoy the breeze and hear the sounds of kids running around their parents.”

“I have finally made it.”

As the moon glowed and people canvassed the man-made area jutting into the river throughout that night, the bottle of water whispered these words to itself while it peacefully postured itself for permanent residency at the pier.

The next morning, the sanitation worker threw it into the garbage.

“Who left this trash here?”

Almost Done Wiptastic:457 Ovington Avenue

Inspired by a Post on Forgotten-NY,i recreated a freestanding House from Bay Ridge (Brooklyn).

 457 Ovington Avenue

Some would say, this house looks like something from a Fairytail, others might just call it a Nightmare.

Think whatever you want, but you can`t denie that this House has an intriguing interesting style.

While recreating this House,i tried to keep it as close as possible to the Original.

Of course, here and there i made some changes, may it be for playability, due to Game Restrictions or just for Interior Design.Nonetheless it is still close to the Original Building, even the Floorplan matches the Sims Version.

Some quick and dirty facts:

-457 Ovington Avenue was build in 1899,

-It has 2 Units and 3 Floors (Groundfloor Apartment and 2-Story Apartment),

-18 Rooms - including 6 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms,

-Large Apartment has Sunroom and Roofacess,

Sims Version Facts:

-Started 4 Month ago,finished today,

-It has 2 Units and 3 Floors (Groundfloor Apartment and 2-Story Apartment),

-18 Rooms - including 6 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms,

-Large Apartment has Sunroom and Roofacess,

-Added Driveway and a BBQ Corner,

-Lots of CC was used, but totally worth it,
