bay leave

There were a couple of series finales. ‘Girl Meets the Bay Window’ was a great series finale. The three incarnations of Riley and Maya […] all leave the bay window and head off into the world. After we shot that we said 'Uh-oh.’ But then we got picked up for season 3.

Charging a Sigil

Fire:

Write it on a flammable surface and set it on fire (I favour bay leaves)

Carve it on a candle and let the candle melt (you can pick the candle colour according to the spell/wish)

Carve it on a surface with a pyrograph/something hot or carve it on something and put it close to fire where it can charge up.

Draw it on a firework and set it off.

Draw it at the bottom of a tea light and put the candle back in.

Air:

Draw it on a windchime and hand it up.

Make prayer flags with the sigils on them, or a simple flag that’ll blow in the wind.

Draw it on something light and non-polluting and let it go with a gust on wind.

Draw it on a balloon and pop it.

Draw it on a paper kite and let it go in the wind.

Water:

Draw your sigil on a soluble material and let is dissolve, it’ll also charge the water or draw it at the bottom of your cup and it’ll charge both the water and sigil.

Draw it on something non-soluble like a rock and let it soak or even throw it in the river;

Draw it on yourself when taking a shower and let it wash off.

Draw it on the shore where the water will wash it away.

Earth:

Draw it on something from nature (so as not to pollute) and bury it.

Charge it with a crystal grid/previously charged crystals

Draw it on the earth.

Draw it on the leaf of a plant.

Light;

Place it in the sun or moonlight and let it soak it up.

Draw it with a glow in the dark paint.

Draw it on something that’ll disappear like fog on a mirror, lemon juice, ultraviolet pen and such.

Your own Energy:

Meditate on your sigil by focusing on it while you direct your personal energy into it.

Have it near you or on you during sex or masturbation.

Draw it on yourself and dance, sing, workout.

Have it on or near you during extreme pain or emotional states (anger, joy, sadness, etc.)

Draw it with your blood/drop some blood onto it.

Extras:

Place it on a charging device (phone, computer)

Place it on speakers and blast music that matches the intent

Sing/Play an instrument to it

Draw it on the sole of your shoes

Draw it on/near a grave/with grave dirt/anything symbolic of death

Post it on a website such as tumblr where likes charge it and reblogs cast it.

Draw it on paper and tear it up

If you have your own way of charging sigils, do tell me, I am curious, and I’d like to add to the list, since this is in no way the only ways of doing so.

A Little Love Spell!

Its cuffing season! You all know what that means… It means there’s love in the air! For those of you experiencing a little “cuffing season” fever, I have a little spell for you. I personally am not a fan of love spells potentially manipulating another person, so here is an attraction spell instead to give you a little boost of confidence and extra shine, so let’s get right to it!

What you’ll need:

  • Two pink candles - for love and romance
  • Twine/String - a natural bond
  • Bay leaves - attract lovers and grant wishes
  • Rosemary/rosemary oil - makes you memorable
  • Vanilla oil/extract - creates an attraction
  • Epsom salts - for calming and cleansing for a fresh start

Before you begin, mix some Epsom salts, rosemary, and vanilla together in a container and set aside for a bath after you have completed the spell. I prefer to use rosemary oil for this, but be careful applying essential oils straight to the skin for long periods of time! Bath salts dilute them and make them safer.

Begin with your personal pre-ritual cleansings, meditations, or circle castings. Allow yourself to enter a pleasant state of mind, like a “happy place”. Picture the candles as you and a future partner, but imagine no certain person, only pleasant thoughts regarding a partner. Take your two candles and tie a knot around the one representing yourself and then around the other, leaving twine or string draped between the two. Dress your candle with an oil of your choice or with vanilla. Carry this oil down the twine connecting the two, and then dress your partner’s candle; light your candles. Take three bay leaves for each candle. On your candle’s three, write three “attractive” attributes you wish to have, and on your partner’s three, write three broad personality traits you would like to see in a partner. Burn the bay leaves in their according candles, and then allow the candles to burn out or burn as much as they can safely and snuff out the flame. Complete your ritual by lighting some candles, burning some incense, and taking a nice warm bath with your Epsom mixture while you absorb the qualities of your oils!

Not everyone believes in the threefold law...

For example I don’t. So, please, friends, buddies, amigos…

Stop. Sending. Me. Messages. About. It.

I went through a LOT of fucked up shit and let me tell you: my abusers never got punished. My father, a good man that also was abused as a child, got cancer and died a slow painful death. Funny how the threefold laws only seem to apply to witches that try to fight back, uh?

When I’m punched, I will punch back, and I will curse when I have to. Sometimes my magic is glitter and bay leaves, but sometimes it’s gutter water and nails. It’s still my magic. It’s the same thing.

I respect people who don’t curse. It’s your right and I will NEVER question it. We’re different and we all have rules we abide by. I trust your intellect and I trust you to make the choice that’s best for you. It might not be the one I would have made but I’m not in your shoes so I have no right to criticize you.

I just demand the same respect.

I’m a grown ass adult, not a child one must scold and school. So to those wiccans that are sending me PMs and/or commenting on my post about cursing:

You can stuff your morality lessons right where the sun doesn’t shine along with your condescending attitude.

The Wiccan’s Glossary

Bay Leaf can be used to increase psychic awareness.

Sleeping with Bay Leaves under your pillow can cause prophetic dreams.

Burning it as incense can promote visions.

Write a wish/question on your bay leaf & then burn it, conveying it to the spirit realm. If the leaf crackles & burns brightly then the outcome will be positive. If leaf refuses to burn or smokes, then the outcome is negative.

Carry bay leaves to ward off evil.

Manifestation Spell ✨🌱

Ingredients:
• Sage
• Incense of your choice
• Red Candle
• Blue Candle
• Crystals (preferably Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Tiger Eye)
• Bay Leaves (or paper if you don’t have any)
• Writing utensil

1. Create a crystal grid around your red and blue candles.
2. Light your candles, incense and sage. Burn the sage and breathe in the herb. Sage will cleanse your energies, making it more balanced so that you can set your intentions clearly. If you are angry or nervous or feeling any other type of energies within you, continue to breathe in the sage until it calms you down.
3. Meditate and pray, set your intentions. Think about what you want to manifest in your life- a job, a career, a partner. Imagine what you want. Envision your deepest desires.
4. After setting your intentions, ask for guidance and protection. Always manifest protection when doing a spell, because anything you manifest can occur in a number of ways. Negative or positive. To stay safe, pray and ask for protection from the Source.
5. On bay leaves (or paper) write down what you want to manifest. Specifically, write down what you want to happen in your life for the better.
6. Burn the bay leaves/paper in the fire of the red candle. The red candle represents energy, and will speed up your manifestation process. You can also write down and ask for protection, and burn it in the flame of the blue candle. The blue candle represents protection as well.
7. After you burn your manifestations, grab the ashes and throw them outside to the right. Throwing it to your right represents that you want your desires to manifest for the future. Throwing ashes to the left means you are focusing on your past.

tam honks teach me how to make a good marinara sauce, you seem to be good at this cooking stuff

I have no formal recipe of this so I’m just going to by what and how much I think I usually use.

Add ~¼ cup olive oil to the bottom of a medium sized pan
Add 1 chopped small onion, 1 medium carrot (chopped), and 1/3 large green pepper (also chopped), 3 medium garlic cloves, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp paprika, 2 bay leaves
Cook on medium heat until onion is soft and brown
Add 1/3 cup dry red wine or moderately sweet red wine or balsamic vinegar and ¼ tsp sugar
Cook for another minute
Add about 18-20oz canned peeled tomatoes (press on the tomatoes to break them up)
I usually add basil, parsley, oregano, and rosemary at this point (however much I feel like using)
Cook until it boils
Reduce heat to low and cover; cook for 10-15 minutes mixing occasionally
Remove from heat and add 2 tbsp of heavy cream
Blend everything together; add salt/pepper to taste

“You are lovely” Self-love Spell

“Won’t you stay alive,
I’ll take you on a ride,
I will make you believe you are lovely.”

~”Lovely” by Twenty one pilots

Intent: A spell designed to encourage self-love and strength. It could be tailored to fit anyone, but I specifically had mental illness in mind when crafting this spell. For me personally, my bipolar has been acting up terribly and I’ve found that I’m trying to talk myself into loving and caring for myself, and this helps with that.

This spell is a bit of a process, I’m sorry about that. I needed something a little stronger than my usual spells.

Materials:

  • Hair or nail clippings (your own - hair might be better)
  • Jar and bowl
  • Objects that remind you of your negative feelings - could be crumpled up homework, pictures you don’t like, a journal entry about your negative self-worth, or any little objects that have negative connotations with you
  • water, salt, crushed bay leaves, black pepper, cinnamon, anise (basically any herbs you association with healing, cleansing, and new beginnings)
  • Permanent marker

Procedure:

1. Prepare the jar: drop some hair/nail clippings into the jar, as well as the objects that represent any overwhelmingly negative feelings you have. Think about how each object makes you feel as you fill the jar and imagine that this jar represents one half of yourself.

2. Prepare the water: pour some water into a bowl, drop in some clippings, and leave the bowl out to be charged by moonlight. When you feel it is ready sprinkle the rest of your ingredients into the water. Save the bay leaves for last. As you sprinkle those in, speak or think the following words:

“I’ll pray that one day you see
The only difference between life and dying
Is one is trying, that’s all we’re going to do
So try to love me and I’ll try to save you.”

3. Mix the water up good. Visualize this mixture as representing the healthier side of yourself, the side that wants to keep fighting and triumphing.

4. Bring the bowl to your jar and slowly pour it over the objects. Say or think the following phrase:

“I will make you believe you are lovely”

5. Lid your jar, take your marker and write “you are lovely” across it.

6. Each morning remind yourself that you are lovely, strong, a fighter. If you get any deeply negative, self-destructive feelings write them down on a piece of paper and shove it in the jar.

And a short message from the writer, to anyone who might be reading this: I know it’s hard, god I know. Living with an illness that constantly pits you against yourself is a constant painful struggle. But you are so much stronger than you know, and you will never truly be alone. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to someone if you feel you can’t cope on your own: there is no shame is asking for help.
