Rurouni Kenshin musical history/vocab you need to know...

…to really get what’s going on. I’m prepping for the Atlanta con, where I’m planning on giving a short intro by way of a trivia contest. Winners get Rurouni Kenshin and/or Takarazuka prizes! And well, I’m pretty pleased with this, and also would love any feedback or ideas! (If you’re coming to the con well, good luck remembering all of this)

TAKARAZUKA

  • Founded in 1914
  • By man who helped found Hankyu Railroad, Kobayashi Ichizo
  • Five troupes (other than Senka) name them (extra points if in the order)
    • (Hana, Tsuki), Yuki, Hoshi, Sora = (Flower, Moon), Snow, Star, Cosmos
  • Which anime adaption show has been produced the most
    • Berubara/Rose of Versailles
  • Kenshin’s seiyuu

      • Didn’t deal well with the rising merchant class, economic instability

  • Ishin Shishi - “men of high purpose”
