The Exalted Plains, Orlais

“Dareth shiral, Tillahnnen.”

The most under-appreciated film in history has to be The Prince of Egypt. I mean, I don’t care if you follow the religion, this a good fucking movie.

I mean, look at the love they put into the Egyptian culture and hieroglyphics:

Everybody is actually a realistic color of where they live:

ThE MOTHERFUCKING ART THEY PUT INTO THIS MOVIE

The fucking music alone won a fucking oscar people:

The fucking cast like have you seen this line-up???:

Strong female characters:

And last but not least - THE. MOTHER. FUCKING. BEAUTIFUL. HAIR:

and best of all, even though it’s based off of a bible story, it isn’t trying to ram god down your throat. legit the whole movie is about loving yourself and others

“So… um, you mentioned you could see souls”
“Yes, I did.”
“How does mine look like?”
“It’s… I cannot describe it, but it’s overwhelming, to say the least.”

Introducing:
Blind priest Seokjin with Yoongi who is a shapeshifter. Seokjin didn’t know he was, because he could not see shapes, but he only sees souls.
The more whole the person is, their soul will be more of a round shape, and the more broken the person is, their soul will become more and more crescent shaped. The stronger the mutual bond with Seokjin is, the larger the soul will appear to him.

Impossible wish (½)

“They said Lunar tear can make any wish come true”

“..So mine is just an impossible wish like daydream that will never be real”

——————————————————————————————

It’s my first time to make a comic like this,so I want to apologize if there are some confused storylines in this one,but I will try harder!

this story based on the sidequest in Nier automata “Gathering keepsakes” so it contains some spoilers. And I add scenes that not in the game for my satisfaction.

I really like this sidequest because it holds a lot of feelings that makes me wanna cry, so I hope you enjoy this.

2B and 9S are my best characters in this game. They’re lovely but pitiful. This game really hurt them and me so much.I mean..my heart *sob*

you know for some reason your Gaster reminds me of Kurosensei from assassination classroom, i really don't know why, but they do, is that intentional or is it just me?

Gaster: And also the culprit who blew up like about 80% of the moon www

Gaster: Now you have a whole year to kill me, your teacher!
Okay, I’m dying of laughter because the anime really suits well..! wwwww

Sadly, it wasn’t intentional and you’re not the first to point that out! Somebody on Undertale Amino at the comments of a reblog also said the same thing too, except it was before I created any animation-comics..! X’DD

Its funny how people react to music differently. Have you seen the video of Gigi where she lists her top ten TS songs? Or the Thrillist article that ranks every TS song? The put state of grace as one of her worst :)

That Thrillist ranking article. Like. I have NO WORDS. With the exception of getting the number 1 choice spot on (”All Too Well”) IT PUTS “ENCHANTED” AND “SPEAK NOW” WITHIN THE TOP 10?!?!?

LIKE WHAT THE WHAT.

“SAD BEAUTIFUL TRAGIC” — A MASTERPIECE — IS IN THE TRIPLE DIGITS BUT A SONG THAT USES THE ADJECTIVE “SPARKLING” WITHIN ITS CHORUS IS ““FIVE AND A HALF MINUTES OF PURE PERFECTION”“

?1??1?!??1!!??!1?!?1!?11!?!?ONE!!1 !!! !?!?!??

AND “CRAZIER” IN THE TOP 20???

Like what bridge did the author of this mismanaged rankings article have to troll out from under in order to write this?????

They also call “Invisible” one of their favourite songs off her debut album. That’s how you know they’re untrustworthy.

One-Shot Stories: Post or Nah?

Okay, so I write short stories on Wattpad and they are all one-shots in different Soulmate Alternate Universes… all around 5k-10k words and I’m contemplating whether I should post them here on Tumblr or not…

…and people on Wattpad (as well as my friends who had read them) are all angry at me when I post because I apparently destroy their hearts… so should I? let me know…

Yes, these monuments were put up to honour Confederate leaders. But the timing of the monument building makes it pretty clear what the real motivation was: to physically symbolize white terror against blacks. They were mostly built during times when Southern whites were engaged in vicious campaigns of subjugation against blacks, and during those campaigns the message sent by a statue of Robert E. Lee in front of a courthouse was loud and clear.

No one should think that these statues were meant to be sombre post-bellum reminders of a brutal war. They were built much later, and most of them were explicitly created to accompany organized and violent efforts to subdue blacks and maintain white supremacy in the South. I wouldn’t be surprised if even a lot of Southerners don’t really understand this, but they should learn. There’s a reason blacks consider these statues to be symbols of bigotry and terror. It’s because they are.

Hello. I have this idea where the whole concept of the book revolves around death. But i have a problem with trying write it out, could you give me a guide about planning? Like a basic skeleton to a slice of life book?

Hello!

There are lots of ways to plan, and what works really well for one writer can be completely unhelpful to another. There’s no one-size-fits-all skeleton exactly, but here are some ways and means for you to try:

First, here is a cute guide made by @maxkirin

Second, you can always try and map out the plot based off of a story structure system- aka,

1.  this famous Freytag model,

Or related to that, the “skeletal outline”, in which you take each of those elements and write down a few details for each one:

Exposition: -

Finn lives alone in a disheveled house

-He is trying to change his life after a complicated past

Rising Action:

- Leon, from Finn’s past, shows up

- Leon tries to rope Finn into a plan

2. your Hero’s Journey

and go point by point through the arc, writing down a sentence or two for each significant moment on the chart.

3. “Flashlight Outlining”:

Take it chapter by chapter and just “shine a little light” on what’s going to happen.

Chapter 1: Finn is living alone when someone from his past, Leon, comes to visit him, trying to convince him to help him with a crime. Finn says no.

Chapter 2: Leon gets mad and concocts a plan that lands Finn in hot water.

Chapter 3: Vera agrees to help Finn, but in return he has to help her with…

And so on.

4. Freeform:

Write all your ideas down in one place, and don’t even try to organize it. Sometimes just figuring out what you do know helps you figure out what you don’t know.

If you’re artsy, you can even try drawing out a little mind map of all the elements you have so far.

5. Penemue’s Personal Method:

This is just something that I started doing by myself when I first started writing, and I’ve been doing it ever since, just because it works for me. It’s something like the flashlight or skeletal method, but with an added element: for each part of the plot, I write a quick little line or quote that summarizes the idea or the scene.

1. Finn is trying to figure out his life independently when Leon shows up.

“We’d really like for you to come back to us, Finnigan.” Leon smiled a tight-lipped smile as he leaned against the battered door frame, folding his arms as he pressed his back against the front door, making it clear that Finn was not allowed to leave.

2. Finn refuses to help Leon, so Leon frames Finn to get him in trouble as revenge.

As the city guards locked the shackles around his wrists, Finn could glimpse Leon through the gathering crowd. He gave Finn that same stupid smile before disappearing down the alley. He’d made good on his promise.”

And so on. It’s not writing the entire scene, although it often prompts me to do so. But it gives me a glimpse into each moment as I picture it, which I can then look back on for inspiration when it’s time to really write it.

It also helps to do some character planning before you start as well.

You can also find some cool templates on the internet.

In short, there are a million models of outlines and maps, and sometimes it takes a little trial and error to find the one that suits you personally. And of course, when all else fails, you can always combine different elements to make your own. I hope this gives you a good place to start.

Anyone can feel free to add on their own methods!

Datacow40’s Totally, 100% Safe-for-Work Yu-gi-oh! Writing Contest

What? A YGO (and YGOTAS) writing contest where the objective is to mention sex as little as possible. No smut. No suggestive themes. No characters wishing they could do smexy things to another (or have smexy things done to them.) Period. End of story.

What if I’m a horrible troll who likes to send porn to asexual minors? Don’t. Official Contest Kinkshamer™ Charlie ( @somegrumpynerd) is being gracious enough to pre-read all entries. He will inform me if there are any entries that don’t meet this guild line.

Fair enough. When is this thing due? Submissions are due March 24, 2017 at 6:00 pm Central Time. Entries can be submitted earlier than the final due date. Winners will be (hopefully) announced before April.

Winners? With an S?! Yes! There will be three (3) winners in total. Each winner will get a piece of fanart based on their story (and drawn by yours truly) I don’t know when I will get these prizes done, but it will be sooner rather than later.

Neato! How will our fics be judged? There will be one winner in each of the three categories. There will be a category for angst, for fluff, and for comedy. As for how their judged, I’ll be taking into account spelling, grammar, story flow, and proper word usage.

Okay, who am I writing about? Either Thiefshipping (Marik x Yami Bakura) or Deathshipping (Ryou x Yami Marik). They can be based on manga, anime, dub, abridged, or even your own interpretations of the characters!! Just so long as it’s one of those two pairings.

Alrighty. Is there a theme? Heck yeah! The theme is music based, because Marilyn is a music-loving nerd. I have created a playlist with 5 songs. Pick one of the songs, and write a story based on it. Try to incorporate the feeling the song gives you, or the characters.

I think I can work with that, what’s the minimum word count? 1,500 words or more. I will, sadly, have to disqualify entries that fall below the minimum. (note: if you get in the 1485-1499 range, and you feel like you cannot add any more, that’s okay! I just don’t want to end up with a bunch of entries that are 500 words, you know?)

Awesome sauce. How do I submit an entry? Post it on your blog, in the format shown below. Make the first tag #datacow’scontest <— I will be tracking this hashtag.

This sounds like fun, but I’m not a writer :c Please don’t feel discouraged!! This contest is for fun, and hopefully it will be a platform for all writers to improve their skills! And even if your entry doesn’t win, I’d still be happy to read it! We always need more creativity in our fandom, in my opinion c:

I have a question you didn’t answer here. Help? Feel free to drop an ask in my inbox! I will responds as soon as possible ^^

Okay! I’m going to go write my story now!! Best of luck my friend!

Exploring sims 4 with Adonis Grover

Art lover ; creative ; snob ; muser

Come with me on a adventure of Adonis’s life to become a famous author, maybe stiff and have a family tree to rule the world. I will most possible post this save in the weekends. I only have the base game as of right now also no story just me trying ‘again’ to figure out this game.

AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT: Lilyvandersteen day 1

Here we go, for the next five days we’ll be spotlighting the very very sweet @lilyvandersteen

DAY 1: Meet the author

  1. Why Klaine?

Well, it all started with Kurt, from the very first episode of Glee. They were bullying Kurt, but instead of cowering and crying, he’d keep his spine straight and his chin up and he’d rip his bullies apart with a few well-chosen words. He had courage in spades long before he met Blaine.

And then he sang, and my mouth fell open. And then he snarked some more, and then he developed a crush on Finn and showed a more vulnerable side, and that was it, he was my favourite. Just like that.

Fast forward now to Grilled Cheesus, and Kurt singing I Wanna Hold Your Hand. That was my Blackbird moment about Kurt. I liked him, before, but that song cemented in my heart that Kurt was one of my favourite fictional characters EVER.

It broke my heart that Kurt was so lonely, so I was overjoyed when the staircase scene happened. And then the Teenage Dream serenade. I saw Kurt’s eyes shine, and I saw him smile more widely and genuinely than I’d ever seen him smile before, and that’s it, Blaine had won me over too.

Blaine being so oblivious was frustrating, and Blaine serenading Jeremiah made me eye-roll so hard, as did the whole Blainchel affair. I hated that Kurt made such biphobic remarks, but I understood where it came from. Rachel had a habit of taking everything Kurt cared about from him.

And then they finally got together, and I was overjoyed. When Kurt was elected Prom Queen, and Blaine asked him to dance, that was my Blackbird moment about Blaine. You could plainly see that Blaine was terrified, having been beaten up before at a school dance. But he swallowed and held out his hand and smiled, and asked Kurt ever so sweetly if he could have this dance, and Kurt was so relieved. That was the moment I fell head over heels for Blaine as well, and I shipped Klaine with all my heart. And I never stopped shipping them. I knew they were the real deal.

Canon Glee proved frustrating, though, keeping them apart, even after that huge over-the-top proposal. Even making Blaine date Karofsky, ugh. And Kurt a senior citizen, what was THAT all about? Couldn’t they at least have found Kurt a better midgame?

So naturally, I started making up my own version of events. Still Kurt and Blaine. Still each other’s soulmates and happily ever after in every lifetime and in every verse I wrote. But way more satisfying than what happened on canon Glee.

What’s in a typical lilyvandersteen story?

I use way too many adjectives and adverbs. I try to weed them out when I revise chapters, but there are still too many. And I have never used “Oh my Gaga”, but to my shame, I have to admit I’ve made Kurt say “Oh, for the love of Gaga” more than once. I’ll try not to do that anymore, okay?

Another thing about my stories (well, the multichapters, at any rate) is that I write from both points of view. One chapter will be from Kurt’s point of view and then the next will be Blaine’s.

Also, I love to write fantasy stories, with fairy tale elements and supernatural creatures and challenges to complete. Often, I use stories within stories. And soulmate fics. I love writing soulmate fics. I have a soft spot for Kiddie Klaine too. And I love including Anderbros interaction. Cooper is such a delightful character to write.

I’m not much of a smut writer nor an angst writer, but fluff is my domain. Meet-cutes and Eskimo kisses and cuddles and snuggles aplenty. My mission in life is to make you coo and smile :)

What kind of stories do you write?

I write mostly fluff (see above). I’ve never yet written Klaine with babies or pets of their own, but domestic bliss, check. Serenades, check. First dates, check. Comfort fic, check. What’s too fluffy? Oh, I really couldn’t say. Maybe ask my readers? I’m sure my cotton candy fluff gives them diabetes more often than not…

And what makes me happy in fluff is seeing Klaine really connecting and making each other happy and content.

I write angst occasionally, yes, to get the story going or to keep it going. I don’t think I’ve ever written about break-ups or infidelity, that’s not my thing. But I’ve written about canon character deaths and illnesses and gay bashings. I’ve written about Klaine being kept apart by circumstances. I’ve written about misunderstandings that break their hearts. I’ve even written about suicide notes (not Klaine) and domestic violence (also not Klaine) and depression (also not Klaine).

Too angsty to write? I’m not sure I could ever write about Klaine losing (one of their) children. Or about one of them dying and the other being devastated.

I write smut occasionally if the story asks for it. Those passages are never long and never detailed. I find writing smut terrifying. I love to read it, though, and sexy aspects that never fail to excite me are neck kisses and voyeurism/exhibitionism.

I don’t think I’ve ever written anything outside my usual wheelhouse – I don’t often fill prompts. Whenever I try to write a story based on a prompt that’s not really my thing, the words refuse to flow. I’m afraid I can only write what I like to read myself.

All my stories are AU, though the Kiddie Klaine fics might be canon J

What do you like about your writing? Why would you read your fic? What characters, strengths, fun, emotion would draw you to it?

Ha! I write what I want to read: meet-cutes, fluffy Klaine, soulmate Klaine, fairytale/fantasy Klaine. I love including fun OCs, and I love making Tina extra tenacious and fangirlish around Blaine, Rachel extra divaish and blunt, Cooper extra self-centered and silly, and Santana extra snarky and outrageous. And of course I always end fics with a satisfying happy ending. That’s an absolute must for me :)

“You’re lost.”

Sunny smiled. “Not lost, just not somewhere I know.”
