ball tip

In case no one told you growing up

Many wonderful additions have been posted in the reblogs if you care to look through them (the post would be a giant if I added them all, plus I don’t see them all myself).

An anon asked me for a version of this specifically for feminine hygiene. You can see it here.

~~~~
  • Bras last longer if you let them air dry. Don’t put them in the dryer.
  • If you have a problem with frizzy hair, don’t dry your hair with a towel. It makes the frizzies worse. (I recently read an article that said to use a t-shirt? I brush mine out and let it air dry.)
  • Whites wash best in hot water. Everything else can be in cold - save on your electricity bill.
  • You can kill 99.9% of germs in a sponge by putting it in the dishwasher for a cycle or by microwaving it for 2 min (be sure to make the sponge damp before microwaving and to put a cup half full of water in with it and please DO NOT squeeze the sponge until it has cooled off)
  • Airing out your room/house and letting sunlight in every so often can decrease the number of household pests like silverfish and ants.
  • Black underwear is best during your period as stains are less likely to be visible.
  • To save money, put aside 10% of each paycheck into a savings account. It’ll add up.
  • Unless your hair has something on/in it (like grease or mud or something), using conditioner first can actually be the better choice. The conditioner holds in the good oils that help you hair look sleek and beautiful, which shampoo would otherwise wash away.
  • Speaking of shampoo - if you have long hair, washing just the bits that touch your scalp is generally enough. The rest of your hair gets cleaned with just the run off from your scalp.
  • If you put a tampon in and it’s uncomfortable/you can feel it, you didn’t do it quite right. A properly placed tampon is virtually unnoticeable by the wearer.
  • Apply deodorant/antiperspirant a couple hours in advanced of when you need it. This gives the product the chance to block your sweat glands. Using deodorant just before going somewhere where you’ll sweat (this means walking outside for people in high humidity places) results in your sweat washing the deodorant off and starkly limiting its usefulness.
  • After running the dryer, use the dryer sheet from that load to brush out the lint catch - it gets everything off in a fraction of the time it’ll take you to get it clean with your bare hands. Paper towels also work well.
  • Wash your face everyday, or as often as possible. Forget which brand of cleanser is best. Just washing your face everyday will guarantee you clearer skin. And do you best not to pop pimples, as tempting as the urge may be.
  • Fold laundry asap after taking it from the dryer to avoid wrinkles. This may seem obvious for dress shirts and silly for things like t-shirts, but you’ll notice the difference even then once your shirts stop looking like unfolded paper balls.
Hey folks, Paul here for MOTION MONDAY! Last week I posted some bouncing balls, and this week I’ve got some do’s and don’ts for animating them.
The example above (not perfect, but good enough for government work) shows that bounces should travel in arcs. This is because:
  • Change of direction at the apex is gradual, making a curve.
  • Change of direction at the impact is sudden, making an angle.
Let’s see what happens if we use too many angles:
If every change of direction is angular, there are no arcs; it looks like the balls are hitting an invisible bumper in the air.
Now, let’s see what happens if we use too many curves:
If every change of direction is curvy, we lose the sense of impact; it looks like the balls are fish jumping in and out of water.
Arcs are a major part of Disney’s 12 Principles, but that doesn’t mean “always use an arc for every motion.” It’s important to know when to use arcs, and when to use angles instead.
For anyone learning to animate, I hope that’s helpful, and stay tuned for more!
How do you figure out lighting? I can never figure out shadows on a human face. It's way different than a ball or block. Any tips?
EXCELLENT QUESTION one that fucks me up too even tho i’ve been drawing for a million years. I don’t think i’ve mastered lighting on the face yet, so i don’t really have a lot of tips to offer but here’s what i got:
I guess first and foremost you have to familiarize yourself with the planes that make up the face. I only laid out the main ones here. Once you figure out where the hard edges of the face occur, it’s quite easy to lay out the most basic shadows.
Sometimes i don’t constrain to realistic planes (like around the nose and lips) but that’s mostly because it’s just my style.
Because the cheek is flat (in relation to the front of the face) it catches a lot of light even in the most dramatic lighting. It’s one of my favorite places to light up HEH (even if it’s extremely subtle)
I also have a few lovely guides to share ! Most of these are tutorials on how these artists accomplish their lighting techniques, but i thought they were extremely helpful.
Simple Face lighting tutorial
Constraints of facial features
Color + lighting
Dramatic/expressive lighting
Also this Virtual Lighting Studio is extremely useful if you want to simulate a specific lighting on the face! (it lags a lot but honestly this is probably the best thing you can get)
The flaw in “Force Yourself To Write” and “Don’t Force Yourself To Write” Advice
Y’all these guides are becoming more and more frequent wth
Alright so many writing posts here on Tumblr usually have contradictions that can make anyone’s head spin honestly. So let me tell you about something I realized today.
I have a fic that I’ve been working on and off on the past year. Like July marks exactly a year since the idea came to life. Now for a fanfic, it’s really long. About 10k words a chapter (my choice so boohoo for me really).
Now then, with Tumblr, I read the “Don’t Force Yourself to Write or else it’ll be nasty and you won’t be able to unstuck yourself later and it won’t be good” advice. And I believed in that, because I was iffy about the “Never Stop Writing!! Even as you’re giving birth or performing heart surgery!!!!”
Originally posted by okyanusunintihari
That was like kicking myself in the metaphorical balls (or elbowing anywho)
I conditioned my mind into thinking that that was a valid excuse not to write. I hid my laziness behind that “advice” and I barely touched that piece (which I hold dear to my heart) for an entire year.
Now today as I was filming some vlogs, I forced myself to write for “content”. I thought, eh I can write a few scenes, sort some things out and edit a bit.
And I realized that, even if I force myself to write, I’m still closer to finishing this than I was before? Like Chapter 2 remained barely touched until today, now I have 2 little scenes left to complete and it’s done. And honestly? Maybe tomorrow I’ll see that it’s terribly written, but I rather work with some foundations for a scene that starting from scratch.
And I’m pissed at myself that I followed that rule to the T.
Yes, don’t force yourself to write when you’re not feeling it, but don’t use it as an excuse just because you’re lazy or you’re trying to hide a mental block. Write a paragraph, or a sentence, and see where it goes from there. If you feel a flow, go ahead, if you don’t, don’t sweat it.
Stop making Tumblr advice make you feel guilty for doing things your way, and don’t let it control your life or transform your hobbies to hard labor.
10 Tips for Writing (Good) Smut
so. let’s do this.
About a year ago, I had to read a book for my school’s summer reading assignment called How to Read Literature Like a Professor by Thomas Foster. It’s not a bad book, pretty decent actually, but there was this one chapter about sex scenes in literature. And one of the first sentences was along the lines of “writing sex is boring.”
and I did a double-take. Bc in my experience, that is absolutely not the case, and if you do find yourself bored while writing smut, then you’re not doing it right. See, Thomas’s main argument was that there’s only so many ways you can write sex scenes, because there’s only so many sex acts you can choose from. (My boy Thomas is clearly a vanilla dude, but let’s not hold that against him.)
But one of the most important things to keep in mind while writing smut is that it’s not necessarily just about the act itself. So while Thomas is right that there are limits as to how many ways ppl can have sex, he failed to realize that writing sex is about a LOT more than that. And I’m gonna prove it to you.
Can i request for a bad boy serpent jughead jones and the sweet girl next door betty cooper fiction and maybe with a steamy make out session scene? Thank you!
So the story is slightly AU. Jughead never attended school in Riverdale, never was friends with Betty and Archie, as a matter of fact they didn’t even know each other. No murder ever happened, Betty was never pinning over Archie. I also made some other small changes that you’ll notice upon reading. Plus, I made Reggie a Serpent too, for no reason really, I just wanted him to be Jughead’s childhood best friend in this universe. :p Last but not least, Betty turned out to be extremely feisty while I was writing this; she is still a sweetheart in pastel colors but her character is a tad more Betty Cooper in episodes 12 &13. I hope that’s ok! Thank you for requesting, dear anon! Enjoy, lovelies! ❤️
(Okay, this is 34 pages long. I don’t even know why, I don’t even know what I have written in so many pages. I apologize in advance for that mammoth length. Warning: turns mildly smutty but definately hot and heavy at the end.)
P.S. Because this is too long, I have put it under a “read more” so if you are on mobile the story gets cut halfway through. Here’s an AO3 link if the tumblr app doesn’t work for you. :)
Fruit Punch Lips & Leather Jacket Dreams
  • Part 1/3: But Mama, I Want a Bad Boy
Southside Elementary School was a rare example of fine architecture in the small town of Riverdale. Rebuilt at the outskirts of town, after a disastrous fire caused by a minor during a prank gone wrong a couple of years ago, and squeezed between Southside Kindergarten and Southside High, it looked nothing like the two crumbling, cement colored buildings on its sides that lacked any learning motivation. It was modern, pure white with splashes of green and purple and it brought a fresh air of change, a promise that maybe the next generation of Southside kids would not have the ominous fate of their ancestors.
The Serpents had outdone themselves with the construction of the of the building, hiring Fred Andrews and his crew – one of the few people that wasn’t driven by discrimination and always agreed in doing business at the south side of town – and wasting a large amount of money from their infamous Serpent vault to create a place appropriate for shaping young minds. Maybe that’s why sweet and always optimistic Betty Cooper smiled every day at three o’clock sharp when her sneakers would hop up the marble stairs of the buzzing with life building. Because it was proving her right; Serpents would do anything for their children, just like any other parent on a prestigious office job. Serpents weren’t the monsters everyone thought they were.
Her excuse for walking all the way from their quaint north paradise to the disreputable south district five days per week was something that Betty always found fascinating; volunteering. Nurturing and caring by nature, she was constantly filling her free time with activities that offered assistance to those needed; taking care of stray cats and dogs down at the animal center, gathering food supplies and clothing for the homeless at their local church, being an annual blood donor, being proud cofounder along with her best friend, Veronica Lodge, of the two years now successful female empowerment club, Girls Speak Louder, at Riverdale High. And when senior year came and she needed a bigger challenge, something to bring her out of her good girl comfort zone, a tiny announcement had caught her eye, stuck on the bulletin board at the center of her high school corridor; Volunteers needed at Southside Elementary School.
How to get good at Pinball
Yes, you can get better at pinball. In fact, if you get in the zone, it’s not unusual to spend more than an hour on your original quarter.
Realize that you can aim the ball.
Some beginners don’t realize pinball is even a game of skill at all, so therefore the first step to getting good at pinball is to realize that you can aim the ball successfully. Remember that the further the ball is along the flipper length, the closer the ball is to the tip, the further in the opposite direction from the flipper it will go. So, if you have a ball on the left flipper, the closer toward the tip the ball is, the further right it will go. The closer the ball is toward the pivot, the more left the ball will go, and so on.
In general, it’s way easier to make a shot to the left or right of the play field, and harder to shoot straight down the middle. If you want the ball to go to the right, shoot from the left flipper, and if you want a ball to go to the left, shoot from the right flipper.
Be mindful of flipper use.
In general, you’ll find you need to touch the flippers only when you absolutely need to. Don’t ever touch a flipper if you don’t have a reason. Never just “mash” the buttons like you’re playing a fighting game – only hit them when necessary, because every raised flipper increases risk of a drain.
This may sound obvious, but if the ball comes down the left side, hit the left flipper, and if it comes down the right side, hit the right flipper. Never hit both flippers at the same time! That’s practically a guarantee of a missed shot, and makes a drain more likely.
If you want to prevent a drain down the center, you can stop it by tapping the flipper a ball is closer to softly, and then hit the other flipper with gusto in rapid succession; this slap-save, with a little practice, can prevent most drains.
Practice “catching” a ball.
If you have a ball caught, you can more precisely aim it, and you don’t need perfect timing. The easiest way to catch is if a ball is travelling slowly toward a flipper in the inlane; just flip it down, and the ball is caught, and you can aim and shoot more precisely.
If a game has a “habitrail” path or orbit around it, that’s always a good shot to make if you want to try for a catch, because it tends to slow the ball down, making a good catch more likely.
You may drain balls practicing a catch, but this is the single most important skill to pinball, and needs to be mastered. Don’t be discouraged, and don’t give up!
Practice passing the ball between flippers.
Once your skill level improves, you’ll note that if a ball goes too fast in the inlane to a flipper, it’s not possible to catch, so with good timing, you can pass it to the other flipper, where it can be caught.
When the ball comes in the inline, just hold the flipper up, then when the momentum bleeds off, you can catch the ball in the other flipper. This requires hitting both flippers in quick succession. This requires a little practice to do right, but if you do, it means you can catch even fast-travelling balls.
If a ball is travelling incredibly fast, and looks like it will hit the flipper in the bottom half close to the hinge, don’t even hit it. The ball should bounce off, and you can catch it in the other flipper. The flippers are designed at the angle they are so this is possible.
It’s okay to nudge the machine.
Here’s something newbies don’t often know: not only is it okay to nudge and tilt the playfield, the game actually assumes you will and incorporates that into play. Don’t do it too roughly or the ball will void, but yes, you can nudge the table, usually twice each ball. To quote Dr. Strangelove, “it is not only possible, it is essential.”
It does take some time to nudge, so in general, if a ball is in the lower third of the play area, it’s too late to save it by nudging.
The most basic way to use a nudge is that if a ball is travelling fast to the left and right and heading to the outlanes where it will drain, you can just push the machine straight forward slightly, which slows the ball down and makes it less likely to head straight to the gutter outlanes. If you time it right, it should hit and bounce off the barrier between inlane and outlane. (You only want a ball to travel up and down a play area; travelling left and right is bad because the ball is out of control.)
It’s okay to ask for help.
We all know it’s true: some fan communities tend to be nicer than others, and some fan communities tend to be meaner than others.
In my experience, pinball people love it when someone expresses an interest and asks for pointers and help…particularly since it doesn’t happen often. Some gamer-groups can be pretty mean to newbies. I’ve never seen that in pinball fans.
Taking Control (NSFW)
Today started off like any other day really, you were at school and just working through a work sheet when you felt a hand on your inner thigh. You knew it was Theo, your boyfriend of a few months. He teased you throughout the whole class and you had warned him you’d get him back.
So now you were at home, in your most sexual underwear, ready for Theo to come round.
And boy was he in for a surprise.
anonymous asked:
Any advice for giving my first bj? I get the gist of the whole process (I put a penis in my mouth) but I'm really nervous and anything will help
Well… The art of fellatio is an ancient form. One many have mastered and one many have failed. Below, I’ve compiled a list of techniques that will aid in your ability to achieve your greatest climax potential…well, his.
1. Don’t just wolf it down. If you’re in a rush, then by all means, but then it wouldn’t matter how sloppy it is. You have time. Pinch and/or bite his nips on your way down to weenie town. Enjoy the scenery. Admire the landscape. He can wait. You’re doing the work, right? Right. Next.
2. You’ve found the penis. Assuming he’s hard by now cause you’ve been slaying the bedroom up to this point, grab the base of that shit like you’re about to belt the bridge of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” Like, he’s finna cum nearrr, farrrr, wherevvver your mouth is, ya feel? Get a nice grip near the base. Sometimes, you gotta just use a pointer finger and thumb cause some guys don’t have as much cylindrical real estate but that’s okay. Your throat will be thankful.
3. Now from here, you can go ahead and just slob on his knob like corn on the cob but I mean, that’s no fun. Assuming you’re between his legs cause this is your first time and that’s the “social norm” for your first beegee concert (I need to stop), with your tongue, bring it to the top like you’re never gonna stop. Like, your popsicle is melting but you worked hard for that $2.25 and you don’t wanna waste it. Look him in the eye if you’s a freak. Get up to the tippy top, THEN let him enter you. It’s almost like you’re meeting someone new and this is your first impression. Eye contact. Other hand sliding down his chest and stomach. Etc. They go a long way.
4. From here, it’s really a matter of what gets him going. Pay attention to his moans and groans. Feel around, go up the sides with your mouth, suck on a nut or two. Sometimes guys balls are sensitive so they’ll squirm around when you lick them, but if they don’t like it, they’ll tell you. And speaking of balls, pro-tip: Beneath his juevos, there’s a muscular bit which is essentially the part of the D that runs down to your gooch. You have one too, so you can print these notes out and feel around for it while you study. Whilst going down on this gent, squish on that with your thumb. Like, go up and down it. It almost feels like your booty’s getting played with but like, not at all. Nike. Just Do It.
5. As far as handwork for the shaft. Once you’ve buttered his baguette, be it with spit or lube (water-based or silicon will work - you can swallow it), essentially choke his chicken while you suck on the top. That almost always makes guys cum. Even when they say, “You can try but no one ever gets me off with head alone.” You know what you say to them? “Challenge Accepted.” Then you rock their world.
6. Now, depending on how big your dude is and how non-existent your gag reflex is, you can try to deepthroat it. A lot of this has to do with the shape of his willis more than anything. If it curves to the right, you need to position yourself comin’ in hot from the right. If it does like a rainbow, you know what I mean, from the base to his belly, you might have to 69 the dude to get that sucker down. Which I mean, would be fun for all involved, I think. Just watch your teeth and don’t be a hero. Your throat WILL be sore from all the blunt trauma. Moving on.
I think that’s good enough for your first go. If you want him to sin in you, by all means. Word to the wise, though. If cum freaks you out, you don’t have to take that shit. He’ll groan and squirm before he goes, so you can just stop with your mouth and continue with your hand. If you want it in your mouth, but don’t wanna swallow, just let it drizzle down the sides like frosting those mirror-glazed cakes. All feels the time. Just don’t get that shit in your eye. It will feel like someone punched you and will look like it, too. That shit does not wash out easily.
Lastly, in all seriousness. I feel like I have impressionable teen followers which bestows some level of moral responsibility on me. STD’s are fucking real. The “correct” and safe way to give a blowie to anyone you don’t know hasn’t been checked for everything over a 3 month period, is to have him wear a condom. They have those flavored ones which help make that more enjoyable for you but realistically, if you’re not gonna want to use one, at LEAST have a good feeling about the guy and how much you trust him and who he may or may not have been with. Also, you’d be going into that knowing good and well that you could still get something. Nothing is 100%. Play safe. Be smart. Don’t trust anyone saying they’re “clean” or “ddf” cause they honestly might not even know. Unfortunately, that’s the reality of being an adult and having sex. For further questions on STD’s, hit my DMs up. I’ll gladly educate. Otherwise, Happy Blowing! Hope this helped!
Danny Fenton was well known for many things among his school peers.
His absurdly frequent bathroom breaks, his strange ghost hunting parents, all the pencils he owned having their ends chewed clean off, his habit of falling asleep in literally every class…
One thing he was never even remotely well known for was his talent in gym, namely because he had never shown any skill in the realm of sports in his entire teenage life, due mostly to his habit of kicking anything but the ball and his inability to even show up half the time.
Which is why Mrs. Tetslaff’s class stared in stunned confusion as they tried to process how the only person left facing down Dash the-dodgeball-champion Baxter could possibly be scrawny, little Danny can’t-catch-a-ball-to-save-his-life Fenton.
Hunting Island
(Credit to whom ever this pic belongs to. I got it off Google)
Title: Hunting Island
Characters: Jensen Ackles x Reader, Jensen/You
Warnings: Rated NC-17 for smut, there’s a tiny modicum of angst if you squint and fluff all round!
Word Count: 5,793
Summary: Jensen needs a vacation but what he gets is a new way of looking at things.
This was written for Kayla’s Birthday Challenge @one-shots-supernatural! Thanks so much for letting me join the challenge. This was a lot of fun and I hope you have a great birthday on May 17! My quote was: “Petrichor… it means the smell of the rain after it falls.” And my place was Camping!
It’s been difficult for Jensen to go anywhere lately without being noticed by someone. And while he usually doesn’t mind signing an autograph or taking a picture or two, the man needs a vacation. Last night, you could tell by the gravel tone of his voice over the phone that the man was exhausted.
Luckily, season 12 of Supernatural had just wrapped, and he was headed home to you for a much needed break.
Newcomers Pt 16
It was dark, all fires and lights had been forbidden after the fall of Geeda and an evacuation order had gone out but the enemy had been spotted not five miles from their town. A small group of militia volunteers had agreed to stand and fight to defend their homes and at least slow the enemy down. But there had been no sign of them since that message had come, no thunder that was said to precede their arrival brought on by their tower sized machines. No sounds of their tracked vehicles that fired shells that shred their war trucks apart.
Ceten had agreed to volunteer because his father had pushed him into it calling him a coward because he wanted to go with his mother. By Human standards he was only 14 maybe 15 years old but to the Benemar was well past childhood. He had never liked fighting, being the runt of the littler meant he was the smallest and all his brothers and his two sisters had done their father proud and joined the warrior caste. He wanted to be a farmer, to see fields of purple once more flow to the horizon like it said in his books. Those he had had to beg or steal as his father often said reading was for breeders not warriors and had beaten him several times when he found him with a book under his bed. Right now, his father was beside him holding a rifle perched on some hastily constructed barricades made out of cars and furniture. All his siblings were dead, they fell in Geeda and he saw how his father had looked at their portraits and beamed with pride saying they had died honourably and brought great glory even in death. He had then promptly struck Ceten, calling him a failure before retiring for the night. Now his only living child stood shoulder to shoulder with him to avenge their fallen and kill as many of these Humans and Gal as possible. Many stories had reached them long before the fall of Geeda, tales of how the Humans shape shifted and could punch threw iron walls as easily as one may tear through paper.
Small lights shun behind them so that those who’s jobs it was the reload rifles and fire home made mortars could see what they were doing but it was only just enough to see. Beyond the barricade Ceten could barley see his hand in front of his face, he looked up wishing things were like they were in his books. Clear skies that shun with the light of the moon at night and burned with the heat of the sun, and stars, oh how he wanted to see stars. To find the constellations old Benemar used to sail the oceans and navigate at night before the compass.
Whispers were the only audible noise that he heard other than the breathing of his father and beating of his own heart. His father then turned to him and glared at him.
“Be ready son, a flare is about to go up”
“Yes father” he whispered before passing the message to the warrior to his right. Besides everything he was happy, his father had called him son, he had not done that for a very long time. He steadied his rifle and knew that the Humans must be out there, the flare went up and indeed, they were.
Ceten’s eyes widened and his mouth dropped, the Humans were standing only five feet from the barricade in complete silence. It was not just a few either, they stood shoulder to shoulder glaring at him and there must have been thousands of them. How long had they been there? Why had they waited for the flare? Such thoughts left him as the Human in front of him grabbed his rifle with a speed he could not follow struck him. The last he remembered were the shouts and cries of his townsmen as the Humans leaped over the barricade and began their work. Then everything went black.
He awoke some hours later, he knew because it was day and from the height of the sun it was coming to near midday. He had fallen under the barricade and lost conciseness from hitting his head. Grunting as he rose he put his hand to the back of his head and felt for a wound, there was none and he was thankful. Movement above him made him freeze, a Gal was walking along the barricade and moving some things. Looking around he saw the remains of his town, much of the buildings had been burned caught up in the fighting and most likely any Benemar they found were slaughtered. The Humans and their Gal allies had made themselves at home, they moved and looked just as terrifying as the books said. He knew all about the last war and the last time the Humans came to Bento Prime. How they devoured their dead and cooked their still living prisoners alive. He had no wish to die that way, he had no wish to die at all but it seemed that that decision may not be his. He would have to stay exactly where he was until the Humans moved on, most likely after they had devoured everything they could and their hunger spurred them on again looking for new hunting grounds. Luckily some debris from the barricade had fallen on him making a kind of cave that he could stay under and if he was careful watch what was happening outside. But for all his fear he was still curious and wanted to learn about these creatures.
For the most part the Humans did not seem to act too different than his own people, they stood around and spoke to each other and their Gal friends. They drank and ate and were generally just going about their business. But he never saw any of their weapons, not a single one was carrying a rifle, he shifted to look out another part of the wrecked barricade hoping to see this towering machines that walked but it was nowhere in sight.
He scoffed to himself disappointed he would not get to see one, his friends would have been so jealous to hear he saw a walking tower machine. Then the thought occurred, what friends? He had only a few and they were all most likely dead now as they were manning the barricade with him.
And his father? His father had been there and called him his son. Tears came and he struggled and fought the urge to cry. “Only breeders cry” he repeated his fathers words. But he couldn’t help it, he loved his father for all his faults.
“I found a survivor!” sounded a Human above him looking down through the wooden planks and was beginning to shift them. Panic gripped him like a vine and he thrashed and screamed at them to get away and leave him alone, only then did he notice his leg was caught.
“His leg is pinned under the wreckage” the Human called jumping down and other Humans came to help. The barricade that he had fought on was shifted with surprising ease and a Gal tentacle reached in and pulled him free. He screamed as the Humans gathered around him, they were going to tear him apart and eat him he knew it. He cried and thrashed waiting for the moment he felt their teeth on his skin. But it never came, he stopped shouting and slowly calmed down his eyes low and slowly looked at the one Human holding onto his arm, smiling at him.
It was a warm smile meant to comfort him and she showed no sign of aggression, she was not even armoured or armed. He looked around and the other Humans were also smiling at him and the Gal hung back behind them.
“Have you calmed down now?” said the female human who had hold of his arm.
“Um…yes” he said meekly.
Her smiled widened and a small chair was placed behind him and she placed him on it while another Human inspected his injured leg.
“A small cut, nothing broken, you’re a tough one” he said and reached into his bag “This will stop it getting infected” the Human said and sprayed something on his leg that stung a little and was bandaged. Then the Human got up and handed him a small white stick with a ball on the tip that was orange in colour, patted him on the head and left.
He looked at the strange thing the Human had gave him and looked at the others who giggled, the female who sat beside him took it and took off the small wrapping and put the lolly in his mouth. His mouth exploded with the sweet taste and his smile brought one to hers.
“My name is Karen, what’s yours?”
“C-c-…Creten” he whispered the lolly still in his mouth.
“Nice to meet you Creten, are you hungry?”
He nodded and she took his hand and lead him through the Human camp.
He looked around as he was lead past countless Humans who all smiled at him or greeted him warmly, he began to wonder if these were Humans at all, they were nothing like they were supposed to be in his books. The Gal even watched him but showed more a curious interest than an intent to kill.
Then they reached a place where there were more Benemar.
“Farther!” Creten screamed and ran into his fathers embrace, he was horrified to see his father had lost his right arm but he was hugged all the tighter with his left.
“My son” he said as Creten buried his head in his fathers chest tears once more flowing freely.
“Ah perfect timing” Karen said as one of the cooks came pushing a trolley.
“We know you are purely carnivores but we did not want to give you just plain chicken so we made you all chicken soup” he called to the Benemar who all regarded him with a mixture of hatred and suspicion.
Creten moved and went to him and was handed a bowl and poured some and handed a spoon, he turned and ran back to his father and gave it to him. His father looked at it and at his son who had gone back for his own.
Creten sat down in front of his father and began eating this Human food they had been given. None of the Benemar moved and the cook was standing there waiting patiently for the others to decide to move on their own. His son was eating it vigorously, he had not eaten anything like it and was incredibly hungry. Creten’s father looked around, they were not held in a prison, there was not even a fence, there was just a small area next to a tank with some sheets thrown over them to shield them from the sun and wind. There were not even any guards, where these Humans so confident that they did not even guard them. He looked down at the bowl seeing the different colours of the soup as the Human had called it, slowly he took a mouthful and seeing one of their elders eating the others slowly made their way to get their own helping.
