This is all based on appearance of the “rat poison” pills, but I looked it up and found that its appearance is like alphazolam, a drug used in the treatment for people who have BPD.

I don’t know what this means or if its just a coincidence, but I just wanted to share my findings.

Update: I looked up side effects of this drug and:

“Common Side effects of Xanax (alprazolam) include drowsiness, dizziness, insomnia, memory problems, poor balance or coordination, slurred speech, trouble concentrating, and irritability.

Other, less common, side effects can include diarrhea, sweating, headache, nausea, blurred vision, and appetite changes.”

The side affects explain why Bum got sick.

Again, it might be another coincidence.

Hear me out...former Irish dance prodigy Poindexter

-Irish dance is a big thing here in Massachusetts. his mom probably signed him up for dance lessons as a kid to get him in touch with his Irish Heritage ™ and also to help him with his balance and coordination for hockey (a lot of parents will do this)

-it turns out he’s surprisingly good at it and ends up really liking it??! He has a lot of fun at classes and starts competing here and there. He goes to Regionals a few times and actually wins one year

-but Irish dance is expensive and so is hockey, so he has to make a decision and choose one or the other. Hockey wins out and he quits dancing after 6th grade but he misses it and sometimes wonders what would have happened if he’d stuck with it

-the team doesn’t know and dex wants to keep it that way, he doesn’t want to give them any more reason to chirp at him than they already do

-but then November rolls around and Jack ends up sending the team a very confused text about the fact that there are hundreds of girls in curly wigs wandering around outside the Falconers arena? (The Irish dance regional championships take place next to the Dunkin donuts Center in Providence, where Jack would play) and dex doesn’t think and is like “oh it’s just oireachtas season”

-which leads to some extensive googling/fb stalking and ends with nursey finding a picture of dex in a extremely sparkly vest and subsequently losing his frikkin chill

-the team chirps him a little but when St Patrick’s Day rolls around ransom and holster start begging him to teach them some moves and he begrudgingly agrees cause the sight of them attempting to do “an Irish jig” makes him physically cringe

I was doing some random reading and apparently ADD/ADHD is caused by abnormalities in the frontal lobe of our brains. The frontal lobe controls speech, language, and motor function (I kind of fell in love with medical science while I was self diagnosing my ADHD). As I’ve gotten older, my ADHD symptoms have multiplied. At the same time I seem to have lost the perfect balance and coordination I loved when I was a kid. I’m not just talking getting old, here. I’m only 18 and yet I walk into walls/doorways, trip over thin air, and drop things all the time. Now either I have MS without the #1 symptom of weakness, or a theory that could explain it. The same damage that causes the ADHD could cause balance/coordination issues. I have a friend who’s got combined ADHD and she’s as clumsy as I am (though she blames it on her tiny feet). Since the frontal lobe controls language, it also explains why some of us mix up words and have trouble understanding speech. Again, it’s just a theory, but it makes sense to me. Anyone else unusually clumsy?

You’re talking about dyspraxia, which is a common comorbid disorder with ADHD. The frontal lobe also manages your executive functions, which are to do with things like impulsive behaviours and making plans and stuff like that.

While it’s true that many of the functional deficits in ADHD are localized in the frontal lobes, it’s a huge over-simplification to say that ADHD is caused by frontal lobe abnormalities. Yes, the frontal lobes are involved in motor function and language processing (as well as executive functions like J said) but these processes are controlled through interaction with other areas of the brain. Different aspects of motor function are also controlled by the parietal lobe, basal ganglia and striatal pathways, and the cerebellum. Speech production happens in the frontal lobes while understanding speech and language processing largely happens in the temporal lobes. 

Although studies on ADHD have found abnormalities in the frontal lobes like smaller volume, less activation and less blood flow, this is not necessarily the case for everyone with ADHD. It is far more likely that ADHD is caused by interaction between genetics, neural anatomy, and environmental factors rather than just one thing like frontal lobe abnormalities.  Even then it’s not damage (unless of course ADHD symptoms were caused by an injury, which is also possible), just differences in neural structure and functions. 

It is possible that symptoms of dyspraxia appear with ADHD symptoms, but this is more likely because of differences in connectivity between the frontal lobes and areas that are actually more involved with balance and fine motor control, such as the cerebellum and basal ganglia than damage or abnormalities in the frontal lobes.

I got this from the book called  “ The Unapologetic Fat Girl’s Guide to Exercise and Other Incendiary Acts” by Hanne Blank. I found it both enlightning and motivational, so I decidd to share :)

1. Working out is an immune-system booster, which is great since no one actually enjoys being a mobile snot fountain.

2. Exercise builds ferociously sturdy little old ladies (and men): it’s fantastic for your bones, reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s, and improves balance and coordination.

I'm eager to see what's in store for RWBY but I swear to god if they treat Team SSSN like some sort of joke again I'm gunna loose it.

-Sun went against Torchwick, the White Fang and Team NDGO and didn’t get hit a SINGLE time. (That I saw). Plus Sun’s semblance is pretty good. It’s even almost the opposite of Blake’s. Also we’ve see that Sun is a good leader and is compassionate about people, human and Faunus. (Also it’s possible another part of his semblance could be he ability to see through deception and that is useful for fighting Emerald.)

-Scarlet has amazing balance and coordination. Enough to be able to hold his own while balancing on a pole. Plus he was able to get control of himself when one of Team NDGO tried to throw him out of the ring with a FUCKING TORNADO. (That’s skill. If he didn’t get hit in the balls he probs would have finished the other member.)

-Okay fuck you Sage should be powerful and smart enough to not be thrown out by a group of bitch tornados that came at him so slow. I say this was bad writing. I know it’s supposed to be funny, but it made him look weak. The way Scarlet got taken out is funny AND realistic. So for now I’m gunna say Sage has to be stronger that that. If he has anxiety or isn’t a confident fighter, fine, but maybe had him prove himself a bit. Even if the writers need to give him a strong semblance.

-Neptune, so far, isn’t much of a hand to hand fighter. He doesn’t seem that coordinated or fast enough to be a good fighter. BUT! He is good at supporting his teammates whether it be distraction or giving them some aid. So maybe he won’t be able to handle Grimm on his own for long. But he would be a great addition in a group battle. (Plus I think his semblance is water even if he fears it. Maybe an accident made him afraid. Who knows.)

I get it. “Haha, boys are dumb they suck and can’t do anything” and you might be afraid of making the girls look weak and put them out of the spotlight.

But trust me. This isn’t some sort of anti-feminist thing to make the guys strong or at least show it. It’s /logical/ for Team SSSN to be strong. They are huntsmen in training and were one of the teams chosen to actually compete. They are good fighters and a good team. So please, Miles and Kerry, show some love to team SSSN.

Dance hcs for Akutagawa, Dazai and Yosano?

Little headcanons to get back into the swing of things because exams are over and I am free from hellfire

Ryunosuke Akutagawa

  • Prefers classical such as waltz
  • He doesn’t dance very often if at all because he considers it a petty and useless activity
  • Not bad once he knows what he’s doing but rarely gets through a full song without having to pause for a coughing fit
  • Absolutely can not dance to anything upbeat or fast paced

Osamu Dazai

  • He can dance quite well but this is Dazai so of course he’s not going to take it seriously
  • No matter the genre he’ll spin around and around with no real form until he gets dizzy and collapses
  • After which he’ll just lay on the floor like a starfish until he finds the motivation to move

Akiko Yosano

  • Prefers Swing and other upbeat dances
  • Enjoys dancing on occasion and is pretty skilled too
  • Fancy footwork, seriously she can fight in heels so her balance and coordination is A++
  • She always leads when she’s partnered and pretty much everyone wants to dance with her at least once

HpNG Moodboard [9/16] || { Fred ii Weasley } + Gryffindor!Uncoordinated

He was never all that good. Adequate, and occasionally lucky, but never very good. 

Weasleys and Johnsons played quidditch, and they did so with particular success. Roxanne was no exception to to this precedent and indeed Fred hadn’t intended on being one either. However, fate had other plans for him.

Maybe he was cursed, they joked, and the idea had crossed Fred’s mind when his thoughts drifted into the absurd. But no, he hadn’t been cursed. He just had terrible balance and and even worse coordination. Not so terrible that he couldn’t make it onto the team, but bad enough that he was never the one to make a spectacular shot or save a goal unexpectedly.

Fred was average and his plays very plain. It was fortunate for such a fate to fall to Fred, regardless of its origin, because he was never one to let it hold him back from joining in on the fun. And on the field, it was rather evident who always enjoyed themselves the most during the game, spectacular plays or not.

Choi Minho is 22 and has never been drunk. Yet all that changes on the night of his graduation party.
