So some may say the horribly spaced out and late episodes of Gravity Falls are a nuisance. But in all honesty, I think Hirsch is planning out the dates of these episodes carefully.
With the average time each episode takes to premier and the amount of episodes we have left, the estimated date of the last episode of Gravity Falls is near the beginning of summer. To me, this actually comes across to me as a type of theme or lesson Alex may be trying to bring across; that there are not many summers left spent outside and having an adventure.
So now imagine you sitting in front of your television, and clicking it off after seeing the final, last episode of Gravity Falls.
Now imagine you looking outside and remembering that the first day of summer has begun, and realizing that there is still so much out there to discover and explore.
You’ve overcome this entire journey of Gravity Falls from inside your home, and it’s time to go outside and see the world.
NO BUT ROSE SAYING THAT SHE NEVER GOT TO SAY “I LOVE YOU” TO ROXY/HER MOM REALLY FUCKING HURTS, BECAUSE SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT HOW SHE NEVER GOT TO SAY IT TO HER ACTUAL MOTHER, AND SHE HADN’T SAID IT. SHE NEVER SAID I LOVE YOU TO HER WHEN SHE HAD THE CHANCE, AND AS ROSE DIES, HER LAST REGRET IS NEVER SAYING “I LOVE YOU” TO THE IMPORTANT PPL IN HER LIFE BEFORE, GOOD FUCKING BYE
