awkward hill

  • Mom: Honey, come here please!
  • Me: Yeah?
  • Mom: *Gestures to the home page of YouTube on AppleTV*
  • Me: Oh fuck.
  • Mom's boyfriend Brent: Ahh, not too fond of the male gender huh?
  • Me: Uhm...
  • Brent: Relax kid, I'm not here to judge like a homophobic asshole. However, I'm probably a horrible dad since I placed bets on whether my daughter had a girlfriend or not. When she came out I told her about it, but boy was her reaction priceless! Totally worth it.
  • Mom: We're okay with this, but I don't need your younger siblings and cousins to be watching these videos just yet. There's no doubt that they're constantly curious and will click on anything that piques their interests.
  • Little brother: But the gay side of YouTube is the best side of YouTube. Tyler Oakley is the best person ever! So is Troye, Connor, Joey, and everyone else.
  • Little sister: Stevie & Ally are way too cute! Also the Gay Women Channel are hilarious!
  • Me: In my defense, I didn't tell them about these people or encourage them whatsoever to watch them.
  • Mom: *Sighs and shakes head*
  • Brent: A lot of Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow videos are popping up. I will never be able to watch those Pitch Perfect movies ever again without my Bechloe goggles on.
  • Me: I like you.
  • Brent: If you like me now, you'll love me soon enough. Your mom told me that you're obsessed with that lesbian vampire web series. Well since she says she doesn't have the time to watch it. How about we binge watch it right now?
  • Me: You my friend, are going to regret this.
  • Brent: I sat down and watched all of Faking It for my daughter's sake. I'm sure I can handle 72 episodes that are less than 6 minutes long.
  • Me: Well actually 84 episodes because there's season 1, 2, and 0.
  • Brent: What does this fandom do with their lives?
  • Me: Don't ask that question or else I'll be dragging you down this garbage chute with me.
  • Little sister: Sin. That's all that fandom ever does.
  • Brent: ...
  • Mom: ...
  • Little brother: ...
  • Me: No clue what she's talking about.

History Part 1

Request:  Imagine where Scott finds out that his older sister(reader) used to date Derek and that they both still have feelings for each other. I don’t care if this is smut or not, just what ever you feel like writing. I love all the Derek imagines you have been writing

Author’s Note: I like this request a lot c: I’m going to make this imagine into a few parts because I have a lot of ideas! As always, enjoy! :)

Warnings: None that I can think of c:

Here I was, back in Beacon Hills, my good old home town. I just graduated from college and I was moving back to start my life here, close to my family. I had found a small apartment in town, just the right size for me. I didn’t need much space, just room for my short list of belongings. As I pulled up outside of my family’s house, excitement grew within me. It had been months since I’d seen my little brother and my mom, and I couldn’t wait to hug them again and catch up on everything going on.

“Helloooo!” I called as I walked in the door. I was met with silence at first, and then quick footsteps.

“Y/N? Oh my god!” my brother yelled, running toward me and attacking me with hugs. I couldn’t help but laugh at his excitement, huge smiles on both of our faces.

“Scotty!” I said, hugging him tightly. “I’ve missed you so much! Geez, you’ve seriously grown!”

“Isn’t it great?” he replied, pulling back from our embrace. “What are you doing home?”

“Well, as you know, I just graduated,” I explained, walking into the living room and sitting on the couch. Scott plopped next to me. “Now I’m moving back! I have an apartment downtown.”

“Wait, seriously?!” The grin that lit up his face made me laugh as I nodded. “Oh my god, that’s great! Does Mom know?”

“Yeah, Mom knows. I made her keep it a secret from you so that it would be a surprise,” I said, punching his large arm lightly. “Speaking of Mom, where is she?”

“At the hospital working a double,” Scott told me.

“Well, I have some boxes and stuff that I need help moving into my place. I already got the big furniture moved in so we don’t have to worry about that. What do you say we get it all set up, huh?” I offered. Scott nodded and ran to get his shoes. “Why don’t you call Stiles and tell him to meet us at my place so he can help, too. I’ll order us some pizza after and we can hang out and catch up.”

“Sounds perfect!” Scott and I drove across town and started to unload things while we waited for Stiles. When he pulled up, he was just as excited to see me as Scott was. Stiles was like my other little brother. I watched him grow up with my actual brother, so it was only natural that we were like family. After awhile, we got everything moved in and unpacked. I ordered the pizza and the boys nearly wolfed it down. That night we hung out, staying up late talking and laughing and catching up on everything.

When they left, I let out a yawn, falling into bed. My mind wandered as I laid in the darkness. I was so glad to finally be back home and starting a new life here. I pulled out my phone, scrolling through some things, when his name popped up in my head.

Should I call him? I thought, biting my lip. Just to tell him I’m back…

No. I shouldn’t do it. I stared the phone screen, the undialed numbers calling out to me. With a sigh, I put it down and turned away.

Derek is in the past. This is a new start. I had to keep telling myself that until I fell asleep, slipping into dreams filled with black hair and gorgeous green eyes.

For the next few days, I spent most of my time in my apartment with Scott and Stiles. I let them play video games while I got my place all set up, filling my bookshelves and hanging a few decorations on the walls. My mom and I had gone shopping the day after I got back and bought some more furniture, decorations, dishes, towels, everything I needed. I was loving putting it all together, making it my own.

I started to notice some odd things over the next week, like how Scott and Stiles would get strange phone calls and make up some excuse to leave. They never gave me details, always exchanging that look that meant they were up to something. I tried to brush it off and not pry, but it stayed at the back of my mind.

After about a week and a half of being back, I was falling into a routine. I had most of my stuff together and things seemed to be going really well. I loved seeing my brother and my mom and spending time with them again. I loved it so much, in fact, that I was bringing dinner over to the house for us as a surprise.

When I walked in, though, I was met by a group of teenagers sitting in teh living room, all eyes landing on me.

“Oh, hey, Y/N,” Scott said a bit awkwardly, his mouth slightly parted. I raised an eyebrow at him. I recognized Stiles and Lydia, but not anyone else.

“Hey…everyone,” I greeted, giving a tiny wave. They returned it with a small chorus.

“We’re uh, having a study group meeting,” Scott told me. I looked down at the bag of food in my hand and pursed my lips.

“Well, I don’t think there’s enough food for all of you,” I joked. “But do you want me to order you guys a pizza or something?”

“That’s alright, but thanks, sis.” I gave my brother and the others a smile before walking into the kitchen slowly. I set the bag down on the counter and leaned against it, my eyebrows furrowing.

Study session? Since when do Scott and Stiles study? I thought. Then it hit me. Nobody had any books or notes or anything out. I listened closely and could hear some whispered talking coming from the other room. Annoyance building in me, I decided to march in there and find out what the hell was actually going on.

“Alright, what’s-” I started as I headed into the living room. I stopped mid-sentence, freezing in place as my eyes landed on a familiar black leather jacket.

No. It can’t be.

Oh, but it was. My eyes were the size of saucers as they scanned the large, muscular build. I took in his dark, spiky hair, the scruff on his face, the beautiful green eyes that were staring right back at me.

“Derek..” I breathed, feeling myself blink a few times to make sure I wasn’t seeing anything.

“Y/N?” he asked quietly, disbelief in his tone. Derek took a few slow steps my direction. I stayed rooted to the spot I was standing in, not able to form words. “What are you- doing here?”

“I, uhm- I graduated. Moved back,” I told him, fidgeting with my hands a bit. I felt that everybody else was staring at us, but I didn’t care. My focus was on the man in front of me.

“When did you get back in town?” he inquired. I swallowed visibly, shifting my weight.

“About a week and a half ago…”

“Wait. You two know each other?” Stiles chimed in, standing up now. Derek and i snapped from our trance and spun to face everyone quickly.

“Uh, yeah,” I mumbled, feeling awkward and on the spot.

“How?” Scott asked, confusion all over his face. Derek and I looked at each other. My mouth opened to say something, but no words came out. My gaze fell to the floor as I sighed. Derek decided to go ahead and give him the answer.

“Y/N and I…we used to date.”

Chapter 5 (Coming Soon)

Chapter 6

‘Are you sure you’re not meant to be at work?’ you ask, watching Seungri check his phone for the billionth time since you’d sat down to have breakfast. He’d brought you to a cafe called '’ (which he supposedly owned) and had jokingly began to demand tasks from the staff as soon as you had walked in. He’d guided you to a quiet, private room towards the back of the property and since then had had everything ordered in for you so that you didn’t have to lift a finger, the two of you being grossly cheesy as you’d fed each other breakfast, and you just couldn’t help but touch him every 5 seconds, needing to know that he was real after the godlike actions he’d performed on you earlier.

But over the past hour he hadn’t been able to stop fiddling with his phone, touching it every 2 minutes to check for a message- of which there had been none- and just seeming to be very tense beside you.

'No- I mean, yeah im sure.’ he says, slipping back into his happy care-free self, despite the creases at the edges of his eyes still showing you he wasn’t quite relaxed.

'Then why do you keep looking at your phone?’ you ask quietly, leaning your chin on his shoulder in a cute way, squeezing his arm gently to try and calm him down from whatever was making him tense.

'I mean, no, If they would have wanted me, they would have called by now.’ he explains, letting a false chuckle fall from his lips and you frown slightly at the noise, sliding your hand into his- despite the fact it made butterflies riot around your stomach.

'Its okay if you want to go into work you know? I wont mind, I probably have stuff to do at home-.'

'No, no, I want to spend today with you, I just…I mean, I like to know that everything is sorted and im not missing something…thats all.’ he explains, turning to slide an arm around your waist, switching his hands holding yours in the process, and dropping a kiss to your temple, making you shiver in response, his smirk at the action being visible from the corner of your eye.

'I dont think that’s ever going to get old.’ he murmurs, doing it again and you squeeze his hand slightly with the action, making him chuckle quietly.

do you think in the raven king we will see a whole lot of gansey on fire, and gansey on fire will make out with a bunch of people because he’s so frustrated he can’t kiss blue and then he’ll accidentally call said people by blue’s name whilst making out and then tumble down a large hill of awkwardness?
