A Woman Made A Comic Book About Abortion And It’s Awesome

One woman is on a mission to demystify the realities of abortion – using illustrations.

Writer and artist Leah Hayes created an illustrated book, Not Funny Ha-Ha: A Handbook for Something Hard, which takes readers through the thought processes of two women who choose to have abortions – one medical, the other surgical. She hopes the book will chip away at the stigma that often surrounds abortion.

Read on for how this revolutionary feminist comic ends here.

you guys so

i spent thanksgiving weekend by myself in arizona going to amazing natural wonders, sampling craft beers, drinking coffee and doing whatever i wanted and it was awesome

on friday i was in the painted desert section of petrified forest national park early in the morning

nobody was around

but i met this woman at an overlook who asked me to take a picture for her

she had two big chubby snuffly english bulldogs

wearing matching gray and pink christmas sweaters

one had a red and white santa hat on

their names were molly and mikey

i got to pet them and give them scritches and they just sat at my feet and vibrated with happiness

and i thought, i am living in the embodiment of tumblr right now

i wished you could all have been there with me for that glorious moment
