Sorry these are so rough- it was more of a
costume design exercise then a drawing one.
A few weeks ago I did these allegiance-switched
versions of Jyn and Krennic, and popped them onto my twitter feed. It’s only
just occurred to me to put them up here too.
It’s was fun trying to figure out how to
incorporate a cape into the Rebel Alliance aesthetic- but looking at some
concept art they seem to be fans of zippers and pockets. I added that mustard
lining to give it a nice flash of colour. Not very stealthy but favouring appearance over
practicality seems to be Krennic’s thing anyway.
As for Jyn, I think Felicity would make an
awesome SW bad guy- love the idea of tiny Jyn sizing up next to gigantic
Tarkin. The haircut was fun too- with that Kristen Stewart vibe going on.
Swan Queen shippers:
So, we ship Swan Queen. Isn't it an awesome, beautiful ship? Too bad the writers are still queerbaiting.
We feel you. They screwed up our ship too. We see the chemistry btw.
Outlaw Queen shippers:
We totally respect Swan Queen, but we ship Outlaw Queen. It was nice to see Regina happy for a change. But, yeah, one of them is dead so that sucks.
Sorry you guys have to go through that, our second half also died and we still miss him. :( Most of us now ship Emma/happiness, so we're with you, Swan Queeners!!
Hey y'all, we just want to send you some love, our ship isn't handled in the best possible way either, but at least they are both alive and canonically true love.
Swan Queen shippers:
*Rumbelle, Outlaw Queen, Swanfire and Snowing shippers join in for the hug*
HA!!!!!!!!!! Your ships all suck. So glad Neal is dead, Rumbelle and Snowing only steal screen time from Killy the saint and ew.. two women as mothers of a child and lovers? It's a family show for God's sake! NOW BOW DOWN TO THE GLORIOUS ONE AND ONLY SHIP!!!!
Let’s be clear – Sammy Hagar and Gary Cherone are both technically better singers than David Lee Roth. They have better range and tonality, and most of all, they took Van Halen’s music a little more seriously, instead of using it as an excuse for their frontman antics. And you know what? They were wrong. Van Halen’s music doesn’t deserve to be taken seriously. Not like that. Great Van Halen is an amalgam of power and smiles. It kicks ass while it makes you happy, and no one can touch David Lee Roth at that.
Mad, bad, crazy and sad. Those are the labels given to trailblazing women throughout history who denied and defied the rigid roles society set for them—whether it was simply getting an education, breaking into male-dominated professions, ruling empires or fighting for the right to vote/human right/women’s rights/civil rights/the environment/ or lesbian gay bisexual transgender (LGBT) rights.

There a lot of advice out there about how to spot a toxic romantic relationship, and that’s awesome; a bad relationship can be extremely dangerous. But there’s not a lot of information about how to spot a toxic friendship. Over the course of your lifetime, you’re going to have a lot more friendships than romantic relationships, and it can be even harder to know when to break off a friendship than a love affair.
So if you’ve been uncertain about your friendships, make sure you watch out for someone who:
- belittles you or constantly points out your flaws
- dismisses their hurtful behaviour as “joking” when they are called out
- accuses you of being “too sensitive” or “no fun” when they are called out
- refuses to apologize for anything
- talks behind your back
- takes your things without asking, even after you’ve told them not to
- demands more of your time than you want to give them
- makes you feel crushingly guilty for doing anything that does not involve them
- refuses to respect your personal space, acts “touchy-feely” even when you aren’t comfortable with it
- controls who you can date or be friends with
- makes fun of your hobbies and ambitions
- isn’t able to be genuinely happy for you when you get things you want
- pouts or acts bitter when you get something they wanted
- makes you feel incompetent
- talks only about themselves, and has no interest in hearing about your problems
- always appears to be in crisis, and has no time for your “petty” concerns
- unable to keep your personal information to themselves
- lies to you
- shows up to your home or work unannounced when you don’t want them to
- always asks you to pay for things, and never seems able to pay you back
- refuses to compromise with you; it’s their way or the highway
- holds grudges against you for things you have long since apologized for
- can’t stay consistently in your life; they are all over you for a month, and completely radio-silent the next month
- capable of saying extremely harsh and cutting things to you when they are upset
- constantly shows up late or forgets plans with you
There are a lot of ways that a person can be a toxic friend; this is just the tip of the iceberg. But if you have a friend who meets several of these criteria, maybe it’s time to let that person go. You deserve so much better.
…about the “Jasper tried to shatter Amethyst/kill Steven” argument is that it just doesn’t work.
Besides the fact that the argument is ignoring the fact that Lapis tried to drown Connie and Steven. Or Peridot trying to kill them.
There’s also the Crystal Gems. They’re also guilty of trying to kill or badly injure someone else. The most obvious example is Pearl:
She aimed right for the gem and even if we assume that Peridot’s gem wouldn’t shatter from this attack, there is a good chance that it would be cracked.
And that’s kinda the whole point. When people say “I don’t want Jasper redeemed because she did this bad thing” they really need to ask themselves why Jasper is being held accountable for things that other gems in the show are guilty of.
Then they should ask themselves just what they think a redemption is.
“I don’t want this character redeemed because they did bad things” makes no damn sense.
Like….yes, they did bad things? That’s the point of a redemption. That they realize that the things they did/said/thought were wrong and they work to better themselves.
Redemption is not “my fave character feels kinda bad, but gets woobiefied and every other character realizes they’re awesome”.
A character feeling bad is not redemption. A character feeling bad is the first step. Its the spark that might ignite redemption. Redemption is this character learns from the awful things they did, why they were bad and works to better themselves.
Jasper did bad things? Yes. That’s why she should get redeemed. Because that’s the entire point of a redemption.
God dammit I love this guy ❤ I don’t understand why people would want to see him captured and hanged.
I’m still trying to understand how his face works because his new expression of grinning-smirk-smile confuses me so damnnn bad 😫😬… @thearcanagame Awesome chapter tho, the A&J thing was unexpected… by me at least… Keep it up! 😄
Rick and Morty S03E01 was so awesome!, too bad we have to wait a couple of months for more episode, but still, so happy about it. And more drawings coming inspired by this episode, there’s that D-99 Rick that shoots our Rick in the head and particularly, Phoenix Person
(OMG!) and Tammy.
