‘52 Reissue Telecaster have always been some of my favorite guitars. From the butterscotch hue of the finish to the consistent build quality, just about every one of these guitars is magical for me. This one is particularly cool because it sounds much darker than others, with plenty of bark over bite. This one had a curiously exploded switch, which I’ve replaced, and it only needed a quick intonation to play and sound its best through the Mojotone Tweed Deluxe sitting in the shop this morning. Glorious tones. #guitar #fender #tele #telecaster #reissue #avri #52 #seattle #guitartech #guitarsofinstagram (at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar)

Pair o’ blue/green basses that arrived today. The stack knob Jazz Bass is an early Fender reissue from ‘89, and we can’t decide if it’s Ocean Turquoise or a greened out Lake Placid Blue. The Mosrite bass on the right has clearly been refinished (a couple of times), and we haven’t settled on what color we’re going to restore it to…maybe blue, or should it be green? #bass #fender #Mosrite #vintagebass #avri #stackknob #americanvintage #blue #green

Sonic Blue Squier VM Jazzmaster that’s been given the full AVRI upgrade treatment. Now adorned with a wonderful Couch Guitar Strap.

Truth be told, my father and I are more builders and modders than players (though the idea was always to learn how to play guitar on our own home-built instruments). But armed with knowledge culled from countless hours reading mmguitarbar’s invaluable social media instructionals, I felt emboldened to try a setup of my own. It didn’t turn out half bad! Those guys are the best!
