Warnings: swearing, angst train! toot toot!
Word Count: 2911 - ok I need to stop promising to make these shorter… it’s just not going to happen.
Author’s Note: I really like this part! Hold on guys, plot is picking up again! So much dialogue in this one! Yowza. Also I’ve officially reached the point in this series where I have to fact check myself… against myself lol. XD As always, my Russain has been rusting for like 7+ years so feel free to pm me corrections :)
Stepping out of your scalding shower, your mind was still swimming with thoughts of Bucky. It wasn’t like you to be so wrapped up, chewing absentmindedly on the edge of your nail, kicking your clothes into a heap in the corner instead of neatly folded. You were distracted, careless, even.
When you came out of your bathroom, squeezing the water out of your hair with your towel, you yelped and jumped slightly, your heart pounding when your eyes finally made it to the bed and found Natasha perched on it, legs curled under her. Shit, I really am distracted. Get it together! She eyed you carefully, obviously sharing your thoughts.
Description: Several months after Thanos is defeated and the whole Avengers team is brought back together, it’s not only the reader at school who openly displays her powers…
Notes: So, after seeing how much you guys liked this series, here’s one last part! As for Wanda’s (and Pietro’s) age, we’ve heard plenty of lines about how she’s “just a kid”, so I took a leap and guessed she’s a senior in high school.
But hey, if you have an idea or prompt that you want this version of the reader in, then just ask me something like,”Hey, can you write something with Star-kid where she…(rest of plot)” right here in my ask.
Characters: Peter Parker, Wanda Maximoff, (Spoiler), Steve Rogers, Tony Stark.
Peter nuzzled further into your neck, eyes loosely closed in pleasant, dreamy bliss. You the perfect teddy bear for him, considering no matter how hard he squeezed you in his nightmares you were invulnerable to his spidey-strength. That meant Peter was fiercely burrowed into your side whenever you fell asleep. He was this way now, softly breathing as his chest rose with his inhales.
While he dreamed peacefully, you stayed awake, confronted with yet another problem that was going to make your life a lot more complicated. Even with the Accords retired because of Thanos’s defeat, Thor and Banner back in place thanks to the Guardians, and… The Guardians, your life was still pretty complicated.
There had been multiple new additions to the team, starting with T’Challa’s more permanent membership; Dr. Stephen Strange made occasional appearances (usually to train Wanda); Hope Van Dyne’s regular Wasp suit-upgrades; then Carol Danvers, AKA Captain Marvel, working her way up the ranks every day and eating all of your cereal. Not to mention… Peter, who had decided he could be a little bit more than just “your friendly, neighborhood Spiderman”. And with Team Cap back to just become “The team”, there was a total of 18 Avengers roaming the facility.
It’s the smell of American bacon that rouses you entirely, and Peter’s stomach agrees; if you didn’t get down to the kitchen, and fast, it would all be gone. His appetite getting the better of him, he pulls you up and you begin to dress hurriedly. There’s a knock on your now open bedroom door, and a few more resound down the hall as the blue and silver blur wakes everyone for breakfast. You hear Pietro’s voice as he zips down the stairs,”Meep meep!” The sound is followed by a harsh slap, which could either be Pietro tripping on his face, or his and Bucky’s shared “Undead Buddies” high-five. Judging by the painful groan following, it was the former. Oh, yeah! And with Pietro’s revival, it would be 19 Avengers!
“I’ll beat you there!” You yell childishly, sticking your tongue out at Peter before taking off. You were lucky enough to share one of the rooms overlooking the main living area, which connected to the kitchen and a hall of other rooms. You landed in the kitchen just as Pietro resurfaced, a bright red bruise on his cheek,”Good morning, Printeza!” With a whoosh, he’s behind you, prodding you curiously,”Did you do your homevork?”
Following his reincarnation, he was literally full of life, and everyone had found him running more often than he usually did. So fast he didn’t look where he was going, resulting in bruises like the one on his face, or the other from the time he ran into a tree.”No way!” Peter finally stumbles out of your room, yanking on a shirt and nearly tripping over his own pants. He launches a spider-web at the ceiling, swinging over the balcony, over the TV (nearly breaking it), and down in front of the kitchen entryway.
With a laugh, you inform Pietro that yes, you did do your homework but are forced to cut yourself off to prevent Peter from stealing all of the bacon. Peter dodges around the kitchen island and steals one despite your shouted protests. Before he could take more you possessively take a larger piece,”God bless America.” You tell Steve in thanks. He chuckled, shaking his head as you and Peter skitter off to make your own breakfast plates.
Every person that groggily enters is assaulted by Pietro’s sudden appearance, the respective name being yelled joyfully to signal who had arrived. Judging by Pietro’s sudden change in volume, it was Wanda who had awoken next. She smiled at him, gesturing for him to calm down and to follow her to the breakfast table.
Eating breakfast together in the morning had eventually become a tradition. A tradition that everyone mutually agreed upon, even those not present during the Avengers Civil War. Although not everyone was here or not willing to get up, the teens clustered around a certain corner of the extensive table and began to eat breakfast.
With Wanda and Pietro both being 18 and you and Peter 17 and 16, you all rotated around the same age group.”Ve had school in Sokovia!” Pietro exclaimed, acting much like Thor did the way he did when he told stories. He went onto explain how they dropped out abruptly to receive their powers, just as Tony yelled,”Parker, what did I say about swinging webs in the living area?”
You quickly blasted the web, disintegrating it into nothing. As Tony looked to stare at you like a tired, single father with multiple rowdy children, you and Peter shrugged. Without any evidence to blame Peter with, Tony stumbled into the kitchen to grab some coffee.
But both twins were already prepped; Wanda wore a nice red sundress and Pietro was equipped with a letterman jacket he’d worn every day so far.“I should try out for track,” Pietro laughed, watching your faces for a reaction,”Yes! That vould be funny, no?” You and Wanda sniggered, Peter shaking his head at the image his brain created.
You and Peter were juniors while Wanda and Pietro were seniors, and they had been since the beginning of the new school year last month. Your fellow students were just starting to chill with your presence, but with the Twins’ sudden entrance the focus had been abruptly turned on them. Well, you were still confronted with the day’s normal tasks.
You entered a bit earlier than the other students did, taking your bag from your locker and trekking down to the cafeteria. Lue, the janitor at the school looked up, expecting your presence,”Oh hey, Starkid! You’re just in time!” You put down your bag, taking in the mess left yesterday afternoon.”Can you…?” He gestured to one of the lunch tables, and you strode over and lifted it up for him.
You asked how his wife and kids were doing as he swept the messes from underneath each table. He mentioned how his daughter had won an award yesterday afternoon, and how his wife’s bakery was having a sudden lurch in business after such a long time without attention. You smiled privately to yourself, remembering how you’d suggested a small bakery down the road to Thor. He thanked you as you left, and you bid him goodbye before sprinting down the hall.
You tore open three permanently-jammed lockers and a desk drawer, fixed the light in the basement with your light manipulation powers, impressed a trio of girls as you casually hefted a fridge on one hand, and overall did a lot a good. Even without your suit, you were a hero now, and as you passed students in the hallway they’d grab your hand and say,”Hey, I saw you on the news last night. Nice job.” or even ask if you were alright.
Probably one of your favorite parts was the bullies. They forgot you were present, and every resulting reaction was utterly hilarious. You had Chem with Wanda, too, which only meant better stories. You and Wanda were a deadly combination. Together, you were literally invincible; telekinesis, telepathy, mental manipulation, superhuman abilities, flight. They code-named you S.T.R.I.K.E Team Master for a reason.
One of the boys in the back of the class balled up a piece of paper, the audible crinkle making your ears perk. When the teacher turned her back to write on the chalkboard, the boy threw it, his target Peter. Incoming. Wanda informed you mentally, using her powers to alter the paper balls course into your hand. You looked at the assailant over your shoulder, acknowledging his presence with a threatening smirk. The ball in your hands fell to ash, Peter utterly oblivious.
“What’d you do at school today?” Tony questioned, glancing at you while in the process of repairing Hope’s Wasp suit. You landed soundlessly on the counter beside him, looking down as he worked,”Um, Wanda and I did this thing—oh wait, you got these wrong, Dad. Yellow on blue, green on red is what Hank said.”
“Here,” You delved inside the suit to fix the problem. Tony stared at you in response, eyes barely wide enough to be noticeably shocked. You continued on working, brows furrowed together as you corrected the small mistake. Tony put the memory into the forefront of his mind, ruffling your hair fondly.
Request: Could you do a reader x bucky where he makes fun of her because she
doesn’t has the strength to cut the melon? She’s really pissed and
almost cuts her finger of maybe? Thanks 💖 I love your blog!
.“Okay,” You said to yourself as you brought the watermelon you had just bought from the bag. You opened the drawer and pulled out the biggest knife you could find.
You raised it gently and began to push it in the melon. But
nothing happened. You bit your lip, it wasn’t like you were going to
ask someone on the team for help, you were an Avenger, you could cut a
though, strength really wasn’t your strong point. Actually, it was.
Your power was super-strength, but if it wasn’t activated, you were
just a weakling.
Bucky looked up from the movie he was watching when he heard a series of frustrated groans from the other room.He stood up when he realized it was you, and made his way to the kitchen.
“Y/N?” Was all he could ask when he saw you. You were standing stool in the kitchen, holding a giant knife, attempting to cut a watermelon.
“Ughhhhh!” You raised the knife and were about to jam it straight into the melon when Bucky interrupted you.
“Need help?” He chuckled, leaning against the door-frame with his arms crossed.
You turned around, with the knife still raised over your head. He lifted his hands up in defense.
You sighed. Half mad because he was clearly making fun of you, and half ready to just ask him to cut it for you.
You giggled and lowered the knife,“I’m fine, thanks.”
He shrugged, but stayed in his spot against the wall.
You tried to cut it from every angle possible, but nothing worked. You were ready to just give up and walk away, when you heard his voice again.
“You sure you don’t want some help?”
You scowled, turning away from him. This was stupid, it was a freaking watermelon.
You raised the knife over your head and brought it down with full force. You were kind of like a mini Bruce, but when you got angry you just got really strong. Not giant and green.
The knife went through half of the table as well as the melon. And it was about an eighth of an inch away from your finger. You raised your shoulders and looked at Bucky, who shrugged.
Marvel Studios is notoriously protective of its films, so fans
have not been shocked by the company’s steadfast oversight of the
blockbuster. Much of the Avengers flick is still shrouded in
mystery despite its ongoing production, but some of Marvel’s stars have
teased fans about the massive project. Now, Chris Hemsworth has given
his own cryptic teasers about Avengers: Infinity War, and it sounds like Thanos isn’t the only villain in the movie.
Hemsworth graced Sydney’s Supanova Comic Con with his
presence as fans queued for his Q&A panel. During the event, the
Aussie actor opened up about Thor: Ragnarok as the standalone debuts
this November, but he also carefully spoke about Avengers: Infinity War.
It was there the actor touched upon the film’s baddies, and an attendee
known as @Tyler_Cull3n was able to share the actor’s words with fans
online. You can read what Tyler James had to say about Hemsworth’s
“We all should be very afraid of Thanos. There are a lot more villains in Infinity War too.”
far, Avengers: Infinity War has only spotlighted its
inclusion of Thanos as a major villain. The Mad Titan has gradually
grown his part in the MCU as a lead-in to the upcoming Avengers flick,
but there are other villains who fans should watch out for. Reports
recently surfaced that Black Panther’s Man-Ape would be brought in for
the blockbuster, and Nebula will also star in the film. The Guardians of
character may have flown some heroic colors in the franchise’s sequel,
but her goals are extreme enough for many to put her on par with Loki’s
There is a chance Loki himself will even appear in
Avengers: Infinity War. After all, the character does have a direct
connection to Thanos. Marvel’s first Avengers
flick saw Loki approach Thanos and his chatty lackey after he fell from
Asgard, and the encounter saw him take up a mission to bring ruin upon
Earth with a Chitauri army. Loki has kept himself scarce from Thanos
following his failed mission, but Thor’s brother could be roped back
into the Titan’s dealings after the villain gets hold of a completed
