I keep thinking about this: how much better would the Marvel cartoons now would be if Genndy Tartakovsky was in charge of Marvel Animation (or whatever position he could make a difference in). See, because while there are some issues with the movies and comics, the WORST side of Marvel during the last couple of years has been their animation. Out of five Marvel cartoons made during the last few years, only ONE of them was good….
….Aaanndd it was fucking cancelled for not sucking off the MCU hard enough.
Everything else: Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, Hulk: Agents of SMASH, and Guardians of the Galaxy have been fucking dreadful. Bland to outright shitty character design, terrible writing, asinine editing, just fucking awful.
Basically, all of this is laid at the feet of Man of Action. Now, if only we had someone who was a fan of Marvel, who grew up on the comics, who homage them several times.
Someone who actually knows how to direct action that is interesting and not hot fucking garbage.
A guy who’s actually WORKED with Marvel before.
^Yeah, Genndy’s team worked on that ending fight scene.
Basically, what I’m saying is that Gendy has more right to be the driving force behind Marvel animation than Man of Action does.
You realize that Wammy’s is a complete disaster, right? L is completely unqualified to lead a team like this. Beyond is crazy. Mello is a bomb waiting to go off! Near couldn’t be less interested in taking down bad guys. And Matt belongs in the party circuit, not law enforcement.
