it’s beginning to get cooler so you can start wearing boots and loose jumpers, hats and scarfs, but there are still days of hazy late summer sunshine left to enjoy in-between colder spells where you can still go to the beach or go on picnics
it gives everyone the illusion of productivity with the start of a new academic year (where you’re determined to study this time). you get to see people you haven’t seen in weeks and raid stationary stores for their autumn collections. it feels like a fresh start somehow.
all your favourite tv shows are back and all the younger children are back in school which means many adults are back working too which means city centres are much more relaxed so you can enjoy that late summer sunshine in relative peace and quiet and just let the early autumn carry you through your day or week
autumn/winter fruits and vegetables are starting to come in!! blackberries, apples, pears, potatoes, pumpkins!! lots of yummy, warm, comforting food to look forward to whilst still being able to enjoy ice cream and bbq food
everything is starting to change colour: the sky, the grass, the leaves, different flowers are starting to bloom and re-colour gardens ready for autumn and give off different, gentle scents to enjoy. oranges, reds and yellows burst into life
september is one of the best months of the year and is so underrated. may your autumn be happy and blessed!
