I just have to show you this W / w too. It doesn’t have much to do with what I do usually, but I just love its archaic impact, if you get it. I like to play around with broad edge styles, and Bastarda is so interesting with its strange elephant’s trunk ascenders, pointy descenders, and this very w. This is copied from a Bastard Secretary w from ‘Adam and Eve’, 1415, that I found in David Harris’ ‘The Art of Calligraphy’. There were no capitals used in this specific script, except some initials.
