Remember when Dolly Parton played Miley’s godmother and Vicki Lawrence played Miley’s grandmother? And both of them hated each other for 30 years because they both dated Elvis Presley back when they were in high school. Yeah. Those were some strange times.
live with you
Even when we’re ghosts
‘Cause you were always there for me when I
needed you most
Zach walked the hill he was familiar with by the amount of
times he jogged up here only to change his mind and turn back. It was easier
then, when he was young but he still managed to pull through it.
He gripped the tulips in his hands tighter as the headstone
came into view and a name became clearer as he got nearer. Bringing all his
past nightmares and monsters back but the only difference is that this time he
was strong enough to face them.
there, valentine.” Zach mumbled but winced, wondering if that was
insensitive. He chuckled anyway hoping Hannah would understand that even now he
still hasn’t outgrown his bad habit of speaking before thinking.
uh … I heard you liked tulips.” he scratched the back of his neck, looking
around the cemetery as he propped the violet tulips on the headstone, wiping
off the dust that gathered at the top. “I’m
sorry for only visiting today. I was,uh …” He swallowed. “I’m sorry.” Zach touched the dusty
headstone and closed his eyes to gather some strength and imagine a curly
haired beauty with kind eyes and a warm smile listening to him, wherever she
was. “I know sorry doesn’t do shit but I
really am. I will forever be sorry.
I’m sorry for being an entitled idiot and I’m sorry for not being your friend.
I could’ve saved you but I was a moron and decided to be an asshole and … I’m
sorry. I’m so sorry, Hannah.”
Zach stayed silent after that, not really knowing what to say
anymore especially since there was nothing but silence that greeted him. That
was the ugliest truth of it all, he could be as sorry as he can be but it still
won’t change the fact that Hannah was gone. That was death, nothing poetic or
beautiful, it’s just … silence. He opened his eyes and was immediately greeted
by the sight of the whole town, the town he once cursed now looked so goddamn
peaceful and, dare he might say it, beautiful. It was almost uncanny.
He could almost laugh at how harmless it looked now, how
small it seemed to become now that everyone seemed to forgot the demons it kept.
Zach sat beside the headstone, overlooking the town. “Great view, huh.” He mumbled finally feeling
the breeze all around him. He gave the headstone another glance and fixed the
tulips one more time.“I’m married now.” He said just to
have something to say but managed a smile at the thought of you. He leaned back
and showed the headstone the gold band on his finger. “You know her, she’s (Y/N), I know, crazy, right? Totally out of my
league, by the way.” He chuckled because he may not know Hannah very much
but he can almost picture out her amused face. “Who knew someone as perfect as her could still
love someone like me.”
Zach played with the grass at his feet, picking on some of
them every once in a while, enjoying the silence, when his phone buzzed. It was a text from you reminding him
to not be late for the family dinner his mom prepared for the both of you.
would be my wife.” He said, still giddy about the fact that you
are married now. “I gotta go, I’ll pass
by before I leave again.” He said, leaning down to pat the headstone again.
“I’ll bring my family next time, my
daughter Lilly would want to meet her guardian angel, Aunt Hannah.”
now it’s just you and me till we’re grey and old
Just say you won’t let go
Zach watched as you and your daughter, Lilly Anna Dempsey,
played with your 5 month old son, Zyke Austin Dempsey, in the little blanket
the maids placed at the shade in your garden.
You were telling your two children a story and even the young
Zyke seemed engrossed in listening to your soothing voice, already whipped by
his mother even as young as he is. Your story got cut off when you saw Zach
looking at you from the front door. You smiled and waved at him making his
heart explode from happiness.
Zach once had a dream about having the perfect family when he
was young and his life was a mess and it freaked the fuck out of him. Now that
he thinks about it he could barely remember anything about that dream but he
knows it could’ve never come close to what he is seeing right now.
“Lilly, go fetch your father.”
It was as if everything was in slow motion. The way the
morning light hit your eyes making you look unearthly, the glee in his
daughter’s smile as she ran towards her father who she already has in the palm
of her hands, and the silent breeze that seems to scatter the laughter all
around his home; his paradise.
Zach effortlessly picked Lily up and smothered her little
face with kisses as soon as she was in his reach. Lily had his straight jet
black hair but got everything else from you making Zach thank every god
possible. He couldn’t believe you and him brought such an angel to Earth.
papa,” Lilly said in between her giggles as she tried to show him
the flower crown you made for her sitting comfortable in her head.
Zach couldn’t help the smile that was literally tearing his
face. “You look beautiful, princess.”
He complimented his daughter making her beam with pride.
made it for me, but she can make one for you too, right mama?” Zach
gently placed their daughter in the blanket as he sat beside you giving you a
humble peck on the forehead.
course, darling, papa can be pretty too, yeah?”
Lilly nodded enthusiastically, before her attention was
caught by her bumbling brother in your arms.
you okay?” You asked Zach and he still wondered how you still couldn’t
understand that as long as he was with you everything was perfect.
Words can never express how much he loves you.
He could only shake his head as he kissed your forehead again.
He looked at you continuing to appreciate what God has given him. Two beautiful
children, the perfect wife, and a home he can live for the rest of his life.
perfect, angel.” Hewrapped his arms around your shoulder. “Like literally the only thing that would
make today better would be you telling me you’re pregnant with twins.”
scolded him, quickly looking at your daughter who was thankfully to
pre-occupied with gathering some wild flowers from your small garden.
doesn’t have to be twins.” He negotiated.
Ever since you had Lilly, Zach has been crazy about seeing
you pregnant, it was kind of fucking weird but really fucking adorable the way
he would just keep checking on the growth of your bump even if the doctor told
him over and over again (literally measuring it) that it was still too early or
the way his hands will literally not leave your tummy (extra protection he
said) when you’re in the same room or when he talks to your bump when he thinks
you’re sleeping (“your mommy is really
pretty and you’re daddy’s a beast so you got it good lil’ man” “… she’s like
really pretty Zyke you don’t even know”).
Come oooon,” he whined, you gave your maid a grateful smile
as she took a sleeping Zyke from you which were immediately replaced by Zach’s
head. “Pleeease, babe? Pleeease?” Apparently,
you already had a third child.
have the weirdest kink.”
didn’t say no.”
didn’t say y—“
You’re getting another brother!”
You could only watch in disbelief as Lilly screamed in
celebration, jumping into Zach’s arms as her father twirled her around, their
laughter’s echoing around your garden.
Well, you placed your hand on your tummy, so much for a surprise.
ANOTHER SERIES DONE! I always get so sad when I finish my series’ because i’m gonna miss writing it and their personalities lmao anywaaaay thank you to those who loved it I hope I did not disappoint love yaaaa
I’ve been in a number of fandoms (as a wlw that gif of flamingoes walking back and forth literally embodies me going through fandoms) and I’ve seen the evolution that fandoms go through enough to recognize it in the choices fandom.
I realize that a lot of us have been around from the beginning, or joined relatively early into the fandom. Considering choices is still a young fandom (not in terms of age but how long it’s been on tumblr) those who have recently joined are still part of the early crew.
Fandom is inherently positive in the beginning. There isn’t enough out there to hate yet, we don’t know the characters well enough, and we don’t know each other as fans well enough to know if the character we dislike is disliked by others.
But eventually, negativity creeps in, just like real life. People will start really disliking characters, hating them even. They will voice their opinions because they are comfortable with the fandom. It’s happens to almost every fandom and Choices is no exception.
Those of you saying the choices fandom is becoming so negative seem like this is your first fandom on tumblr, which is totally ok! We all start somewhere. But you need to realize that your experience on tumblr is skewed.
Glee fandom was great until it wasn’t; people hated characters with a passion, hate blogs were a common occurrence, and don’t even get me started on ship wars oh my god. The glee tag was a war zone.
The 100 fandom was great until it wasn’t; people started blogs that centered around characters being abusive, whether perceived or real. And again, the ship wars were intense.
TL:DR Negativity is an inherent part of tumblr fandoms just as positivity is. Because choices is still relatively new, we are just entering into a new phase where there are more people playing, which means more opinions which you may not agree with. There’s nothing that will prevent this from happening. The best thing to do is just ignore what you don’t like and move on. You can’t change everyone’s minds and it’s pointless to try to
Edit: everything being said ANON HATE IS NEVER ACCEPTABLE. No matter the age of the fandom. Don’t send anon hate. Don’t harass people. Post what you want but the line gets crossed when you go to someone’s inbox.
Description: Melinda, you’re a single mom and your have a beautiful daughter named Zoe. She thought it was time for a fresh start, for both of them. So tax time, she packed her bags and move to the UK to live with her best friend, Hannah. She’s working two jobs, to sort her daughter, and she couldn’t complain. But still, she felt something was missing, till one day a man walks into the café she’s working at….
New year, new you is what Melinda thought as she packed her and her daughter, Zoe’s bags. She just got her tax money back and thought it was time for a fresh started.
She didn’t know where to move to at first, till her best friend Hannah had offered her to stay with her. So Melinda packed up their belongs and started taking the long journey from California to the UK.
When they arrive at the UK, Hannah helped them settle in and then took them around the town. Hannah showed Melinda the local schools that Zoe could attend.
Afterwards Hannah took her, to her two jobs she was working at, a café and an ice cream shop. After speaking to both of the bosses, Melinda was able to get a job at both places with Hannah.
Eventually they were about to get an apartment together, that was located in Zoe’s school and close to their jobs. They worked out a schedule so one if them would be at home with Zoe. A course Hannah did have her family there to help out from time to time.
Things were going great for them, but still, Melinda couldn’t help but feel she was still messing something. She didn’t know what it was till that day, when he walked in.
“Hannah it’s fine sweetie.” I said talking to her on the phone, as I walked to the café, holding Zoe’s hand. “I already talk to the boss, he’s fine if Zoe is there till you can pick her up.”
“I’m still sorry Mel. The girl called out last minute over here. It should be about an hour or so, and I’ll be there to pick up Zoe.” Hannah said as more customers came into the ice cream store. “I got to go Mel, there’s a herd of walkers in here.”
“Get your crossbow girl.” I said and we both laugh. “Alright girl, see you later.”
“Later Mel.” Hannah said, hanging up the phone.
“I’m not going with Tia (aunt) Hannah?” Zoe asked as we went into the café.
“Later you will baby.” I said, sitting her down at a table closest to the counter. “Now sit here and working on your drawings, while mommy works. Best behavior, okay?”
“Okay mommy.” Zoe said as she started to drawing Batman and other characters.
Lucky today was slow for the most part. I stayed up front so I could keep an eye on Zoe as she color. I went to wipe down the tables and restock. Zoe got up and started helping me out.
“She’s quite the little helper.” I heard a man say as he came inside the café.
“Yeah but only if I could get her to do that with her room. So what can I get you, sir?” I said turning around and seeing who was standing behind me. “O shit your Luke Evans.” I cover my mouth and he smiled. “O I’m so sorry for cussing.”
“Mommy language. Captain America doesn’t like bad words. Your suppose to say O shoot.” Zoe said, smiling up at me.
“That’s just adorable.” Luke said kneel down to Zoe. “So you like Captain America?”
“Yeah. But Batman is my favorite. See?” Zoe said, grabbing her drawings of Batman and showing it to him.
“O I see. That’s amazing work you did.” Luke said, giving a small smile as he stood back up. “She looks just like you.”
“Yeah she’s my little mini me. Zoe Jane, go sit back down mi corazón(my heart) and finish your drawings.” I said, patting her on the head.
“Yes mommy.” Zoe said, sitting back down and work on her drawings.
“She’s so well matter.” Luke said, as he walked up to the counter.
“Don’t let her fool you though.” I said walking behind the counter. “She can be a little hell child if she wants to.”
“O mommy your silly.” Zoe said, smiling.
“Your face is silly.” I said, smiling back.
“What? O mommy.” Zoe said, laughing as she went back to her drawings.
“So what can I get you?” I asked Luke.
“Just hot tea would be fine.” Luke said , smiling.
“No problem. Just take a seat wherever you like and I’ll bring it out to you.” I said, smiling back as I turn to get the tea.
“Can I seat with you Zoe?” Luke said, as he walked up to her.
“Sure. You can use my colors if you want.” Zoe said, moving her colors and a paper over to him.
“Why thank you Zoe.” Luke said, smiling as he sat down with here. I brought over his tea. “Thank you.”
“Your welcome.” I said, smiling as I sat down his drink and walking off. “Best behavior mi corazón ( my heart).”
“Yes mommy.” Zoe said as she started talking to Luke.
Luke sat there drawing with Zoe and talking to her. I can hear them both laughing as I walked around and serve the other customers came in.
Some of the notice Luke and had ask for pictures and autographs. He was really sweet with the fans and asked them kindly not to crowd Zoe when she got nervous with everyone around her.
“Sorry I’m running late Mel.” Hannah said coming to the café and seeing Luke Evans sitting with Zoe. “Is that? O my god, it’s bloody Luke Evans.”
“Yes. Be cool girl. Be cool.” I whisper to her. I turned to Zoe. “Baby, you’re Tia(aunt) Hannah is here to take you home.”
“Okay mommy. Sorry Luke, I got to go.” Zoe said, gathering up her stuff. “I got to go home with my Tia (aunt).
“Alright. Have a good day Zoe. Nice talking to you.” Luke said shaking her hand before she ran off to Hannah.
“Come on I want to watch cartoons.” Zoe said, grabbing Hannah’s and dragging outside, before Hannah could say anything.
“Bye. I love you too baby.” I said, rolling my eyes. “Kids these days.”
“I couldn’t help but notice, your accent. Are you from California?” Luke said as he walked up to me.
“Yeah I am. Do I really have an accent? Do I sound like a valley accent?” I said, smiling at him.
“Yes you do actually.” He said, smiling at me. “I didn’t catch your name.”
“Melinda.” I said, offering my hand for him to shake. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“The pleasure is all mine, Melinda.” Luke said, taking my hand and kissing it. “Hopefully I get to see you and Zoe again.”
“O yeah sure. I’m here all week.” I said, blushing as I took my hand back.
Luke paid for his drink and left me a tip. He took off and I finally called Hannah up. We both started fangirly about Luke being at the café.
A few weeks pass and Luke kept coming back to the café. He would sit there and talk to me or to Zoe if she was there. He even had asked for my number. We started texting and snapchatting each other, any chance we got.
He would ask about my hobbies and interest. I never understood why he would want to hear about my life, but I gladly told him.
One night, Me and Zoe were wiping down tables, while Hannah restock the cups. We were getting ready to close for the night when we heard someone walked in. Me and Hannah, both rolled our eyes before we turned and see who it was.
“Good evening ladies.” Luke said, smiling as Zoe ran up to him. She handed him a Batman drawing she did for him. “Thank you Zoe, this is lovely.”
“I’m hoping your not wanting anything, cause we are done.” I said, smiling.
“Actually I came here to see if you and Zoe were free tonight.” Luke said smiling.
“Yeah. But why are you asking?” I said, rising an eyebrow.
“I was hoping you two would accompany me, to a small party that I’m attending” Luke said, smiling as my jaw drop. “If you’re up to it.”
“She’s up to it.” Hannah said smiling.
“I would love to, but I don’t have anything fancy to wear. I’m more Hottopic and amazon kind of girl.” I said, smiling and blushing.
“That’s quite alright. I’ll take you both to get some dresses.” Luke said, taking Zoe’s hand.
“I want a blue dress.” Zoe said, smiling. “Come on mommy.”
I didn’t have much choice at this point. We locked up and Hannah took of with her boyfriend. Me and Zoe, went to Luke to a glamorous dress shop.
Zoe started picking out dresses and trying them on. Once she picked out one, she picked out some shoes and a head hand to match.
“Mommy, come out already.” Zoe said, sitting down by Luke as they waited for me to come out of the dressing room. “We’re going to be late.”
“Fine. Just don’t laugh. Especially you miss thing.” I said, coming out of the dressing room.
I stood in front of them in a black lace dress, that went down to my knees and had long sleeve. I had black lace wedges on to match the outfit.
“Mommy you look gorgeous.” Zoe said, smiling.
“She does look gorgeous, really gorgeous.” Luke said, smiling as he got up. “Ready to go?”
I nodded to him. Luke paid for the stuff and we took off to the party. He introduce us to a lot of celebrities, including Michael Fassbender and Tom Hiddleston, that Zoe kept calling Loki all night.
Zoe was starting to fall asleep so we went over to a table, where it was quite. Luke picked up Zoe and she curled up in his arms. Luke started singing twinkle little start to her.
I looked down at Zoe as she fell asleep in his arms. Luke looked down at her and move the hair from her face, as finished singing. I started tearing up a bit and looked away.
“What’s wrong?” Luke said, as he reach out and touch my hand.
“Nothing.” I said, taking a deep breath.
“It’s not nothing, if you’re looked away.” Luke said, moving his hand to my face and moving my head towards him. “Talk to me, love. What’s wrong?”
“I don’t like Zoe getting attach to you.” I said looking away. “You’re a busy man Luke. With your career you’ll be traveling alot. I had her father and step father walk out of her life. Your a great friend, but I know eventually you’ll have to leave. I don’t want her to get her heart broken again.”
“I thought we were more than friends.” Luke said and I turned to Luke.
“What?” I said, looking at him with disbelief.
“Why do you think I kept coming back to the café and asked for your number? Why I invited you both here with me tonight?” Luke said, smiling at me.
“Luke, your career though.” I said, looking down and he grabbed my chin, moving my head back up. “Luke, please.”
“I know your scare, Melinda. I know.” Luke said, taking my hand in his. “Yes I do work a lot, but I’ll always come right back home. I’ll always come back home, to you two.”
“Luke, it’s hard raising a child and harder to raise a child that’s not yours. It’s a big step getting with someone that has a child. If you leave, it’s just not me that it will hurt, it will hurt her too.” I said, looking down at Zoe as my eyes tear up.
“It’s going to be alright, love. We’ll make it work, you’ll see. When Zoe is on holiday and I’m traveling, you both can come out with me. When I get break time from work, I’ll be here, with you two.” Luke said as he stroked my hand with his thumb. “I want to make this work love, because I…”
“You what?” I said, looking up at him.
“Because I love you, Melinda. I love both of you. You and Zoe, you make my life better. I’ll do anything to make this work between us.” Luke said, reaching up and pulling my face towards him. “I know you’ve been hurt and she’s been hurt. But I won’t do that to you two, I won’t.”
I close my eyes has Luke lean down, gently pressing his lips against mine. We just melted in the kiss and let out a sigh when the kiss broke.
“I love you too.” I said, against his lips.
“Then let’s make this work.” Luke said, as he pressed his forehead against mine. “Let’s make it work, love.”
“Okay.” I said, smiling. “Okay.”
We walked out of the party, hand in hand, as he carry Zoe in the other. I never thought in my life, I would get a chance like this. I chance at being happy with someone that wanted to make this work. I finally got that fresh start that I’ve been looking for.
I wrote this a few years ago, but I still like it (unusual), so I’m crossposting it here. You can read the original version on ffnet here.
It’s the day everyone has been waiting for: Harry Potter is about to marry Ginny Weasley, in front of all their family and friends. But before Harry can do that, he has to find out why the last person he’d expect to be there has arrived, and why they insist on talking to Harry before the wedding goes ahead…
“I’ve been looking all over for you two!” Both
Harry and Ron turned at the sound of Hermione’s voice, and Ron’s jaw dropped.
Hermione was dressed in robes of glittering gold, carrying a bouquet of the
reddest roses which matched her red heels. Her hair had been piled on top of
her head in an artful up do, and her carefully applied make up accentuated her
“Wow, Hermione,” Harry grinned at her. “You
“Oi, Potter, this one’s taken!” Ron said, slinking
his arm around her waist and pointing to the diamond on the third finger of
Hermione’s left hand. “You’re not leaving my sister on her wedding day for
“Damn it, there go all my plans,” Harry said,
shaking his head mock-ruefully, but Ron was no longer paying him any attention.
“You look…beautiful,” he said, his voice
cracking slightly on the last word. Hermione’s glowing smile grew even larger,
and she flushed slightly.
“You haven’t scrubbed up too badly yourself,” she
said, and Harry tactfully looked the other way.
“Ugh, disgusting! Honestly, if there’s any day a bloke
shouldn’t have to be witness to a display like that, it’s his wedding
day!” Ron and Hermione broke apart to glare at George, who had just
“You’re not getting married today,” said Ron
“Don’t I know it,” George sighed. “You should
hear Mum… ‘George dearest, when are you going to make an honest woman out of
that lovely Angelina? Isn’t it about time you two settled down?’ You’d think
she’d ease up now that we gave her a grandkid, but no… So thanks, Potter, for
reminding her about how much fun planning a wedding is!” He glared at
“Sorry,” replied Harry, not sounding it at all.
“I’ll try not to marry your sister again.”
“Glad to hear it!” George said chummily.
“Oh—Neville said to ask you if you’ve spoken to Harry about the thing yet? He sounded quite frantic
poor chap – but then, it’s Neville. He often does. Anyway, are you guys
planning something, and if you are, can I be in on it?!”
“Nothing as exciting as that, I’m afraid,”
Hermione said with a small sigh. “Harry, there’s been a slight change of
“Mommy! Mommy! Mommy,” squealed Izzy, bouncing up and down on the bed as she did so. Claire just groaned and tried to roll away. Unforuntanetly, it wasn’t as big as her king size bed at home. So she couldn’t go far.
“What baby,” Claire mumbled, eyes still closed with one arm over them.
“Mommy, it’s my birfday today,” Izzy squealed, still bouncing up and down. Without even opening her eyes Claire reached over, grabbed her daughter and rolled so that were both laying down. Of course, the small child just started to squirm in her mother’s arms.
“Baby, it’s too early to be awake. Go back to sleep please,” Claire mumbled into her daughter’s hair.
“Nooooo,” whined the small, restless child. “I want pamcakes.”
“Go ask Aunt Hanners to make you pancakes, sweetie. Mommy’s still tired,” Claire said, letting her daughter go and rolling over. For a moment the child just sat there pouting before climbing off of the bed and rushing out of the room. Leaving the door wide open of course. Groaning to herself Claire cracked an eye open to see that her bedroom door was indeed open. She just didn’t want to get up to close it.
Rushing through the hallways Izzy went sliding into the kitchen where she saw Steve drinking a protein shake. Freezing in her spot since there was no one else around she turned and went the other way just as fast. Running to Hannah’s room she saw that the door was close. Standing on the tips of her toes she reached up with both hands, dropping her Bun Bun, to open the door. Once it was she tiptoed in seeing the woman asleep still. With a sly grin, she climbed on the bed.
“Aunt Hannah! Aunt Hannah! Aunt Hannah,” the child squealed, beginning to bounce on the bed.
Hello! We’re back after an awfully long break, which is now over. The previous chapters can be found here. Enjoy, have a good day- maybe drink some green tea or touch someone’s head or go tell Haveyouseenmyplot that she’s an exquisite human person? Thank you, Hartbigguyz <3 and everyone else who’s reading.

They’d gone to bed early that night. Aunt Carol watched them scarf down some mashed potatoes and green beans before sending them upstairs at around nine-thirty. “Look, girls,” she started, folding her napkin into careful corners, “I know you’re upset, but really, Hannibal doesn’t bother us much. If we had the heart to try and get rid of him, we would.”
(…) Grace hesitated. “I guess, I had fun today. Even though. You know. We didn’t get him.”
“Sure,” Hannah smiled, sliding a bookmark where her fingers propped the book open. “I had fun, too.”
Grace stifled a yawn. She stared at the ceiling, listening to her mother’s cheerful voice, which seemed to harmonize with birds chirping behind the bedroom window.
“Are you having a good time, darling?”
"Carol says you and that other girl are getting along well? That’s nice.”
Grace hummed into the receiver. It was. It also sounded like they were twelve.
Sunday meant phone calls from her mom and those awkward one-sided conversations. (Aunt Carol would tell her sister about everything that was going on at the farm anyway, so the questions were redundant, as far as Grace was concerned.)
Sunday also meant sleeping late, cake for breakfast, and lots of free time Grace didn’t even know what to do with. There was some work, of course. It’s not like alpacas and poultry stopped functioning on Lord’s Day.
SingleDaddy!Peeta & Nanny!Katniss Part Two. Or Peeta has a birthday and goes on a date. Part one can be found here.
Just as Peeta finished fixing his hair, Finnick pulled into the driveway. Peeta had already asked Finnick and Annie to stay in the car rather than come inside and greet Hannah. Their presence would only remind her that she wasn’t tagging along with her favorite honorary aunt and uncle.
And if Hannah started to cry, there was no way Peeta could leave.
He found Katniss and Hannah sitting at the kitchen table, doing each other’s nails. He cleared his throat, and they both looked up.
Hey! Before reading, check out the prologue- otherwise, this won’t make much sense. Or don’t, you know. Some people like to be purposefully out of the loop. Maybe it makes them feel validated. Maybe it makes them feel alive. Next chapter will be here within the next few weeks so stay tuned and stay breathin’.
Previously on AW:
…It was so different, yet so alarmingly similar, sitting in the kitchen the first day they met, waiting to see her for the first time. She had been nervous, she remembers. She had bitten at her fingernail and stared out the window. Presently, Grace stares out the window, biting her fingernail, and wonders how different this time would be.
“Honestly, I couldn’t eat another bite.” Hannah leans back in her chair with her hands crossed over her stomach, wincing slightly.
Aunt Carol shoots Grace a knowing glance. “I told you she was eating less in L.A. Can’t even handle a full meal.”
Grace snorts a little, nodding sympathetically at Carol. “You’re right. She gets tinier and tinier every day. Eventually there’s going to be nothing left but a snapback and a little leather-bound notebook.”
