I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.
I have decided to read this book in a span of three days or more, for the reason that I want to digest every word, every thought that this book would offer.
But to my disappointment, I happened to read it in one sitting. Damn. It’s just, I don’t have the time to digest anything because, all I wanted was to know how the story unfold, how fantastic as a person was Hazel Grace. And how handsome and witty and a shitty writer was Augustus Waters. And, of course, how both of their parents were wonderful.
This book does not offer fantasy, and what fairytales offer. But it offer reality. It offers that the world is not a wish granting factory. But we all have the choice to live heroically or not. Because, even if we can’t be remembered by all, the people who are with us, who are close to our lives would remember the person that has become of us.
So yeah. I just loved the witty banter of the two. haha. And I loved to revisit again and again their love story. :)
PS. I’m grateful that this is the first book I read after being in the wattpad land for a long time.
