CONTINUAL JUSTICE

youtube

Comprised of James Curd, a sought after remixer and producer; Morgan Phalen, who contributed vocals to Justice’s sophomore effort, Audio Visual Disco; and Surahn Sidhu, the touring bassist and guitarist for Empire of the Sun, the Trans-Atlantic trio of Favored Nations quickly became blogosphere sensations after the critically applauded release of the Blame Game EP back in 2012. And the group found increased commercial attention after Rockstar Games used “The Setup” in the finale of Grand Theft Auto V

Earlier this month, Favored Nations released their second and anticipated second EP, Amazon, and “Amazon,” the EP’s first single and EP title track is a slickly produced bit of synth pop that sounds as though it could have easily been recorded and released in 1984 – but with modern production flourishes. And although the track is slickly produced, summery track it manages to possess an underlying sensuality just beneath the surface.

Just got Justice’s new album. I’m midway through the first track and already posting about it. †††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††
