thehdroom: The box office family hit Dolphin Tale starring Ashley Judd, Harry Connick Jr., Morgan Freeman and Kris Kristofferson is swimming to Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD on December 20, just in time for the holidays.
Dolphin Tale proved to be a surprise hit when it opened to $19.2 million back in late September. It has earned just over $65 million to date and should put up strong numbers on home video for late Christmas gift shoppers.
The Blu-ray 3D edition of Dolphin Tale will come packaged with the Blu-ray and DVD version, as well as the new Ultraviolet digital copy stored out on the cloud. The Blu-ray edition will include all of the above save for the 3D version. Look for the film to be presented in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
Mission: Our goal is to raise $25,000.00 on Kickstarter over the next 40 days and bring HALF to life. Our dream budget is $50,000.00, so we figure if we get at least half (no pun intended) of it here, we will find someone to supply the deficit! Once the money is raised, we will launch into what the industry calls “Prep,” which will give us five days to get everything in order before we roll the cameras. The real fun starts with production, which will be a total of three days between the dates of January 15th and 31st. But not to worry, we will be keeping you updated all along the way. THIS IS VERY POSSIBLE, AND WE HAVE AN AMAZING TEAM TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! :-)
Now, once the money is in, we will be using YOUR funds to create HALF. Cast, crew, pre-production, production, post production, and publicity costs are all a part of that. That means that without the money, none of it is possible.
At this point in time, November 9th, 2011, about half the crew has been hired, Vancouver location scouts are in progress, offers have been made to grade-A talent to play our leads, and meetings are being held with phenomenal directors. It really is amazing what can happen when you put your mind to it.

Q: Would you marry an American girl or do you want to live in London? Gregg: I’d marry anyone I fell in love with really it doesn't matter where they are from or what they look like.
Q: What’s your idea of a perfect date? Gregg: It depends, you can’t go wrong with a dinner and a movie but there will be one day when I fall in love and go on a trip to Paris for the weekend or a weekend away somewhere.
Q: What is the way to your heart? Gregg: I think if a girl gets along with my family that’s really important. If she can hang out with my guy friends and hang out with my family. Cooking helps!
Q: What’s the first thing you notice when you see a girl? Gregg: I think their smile, their smile or their eyes.
Q: Do you remember your very first kiss? Gregg: I do, well it was with my mom, so ya it was a very loving kiss.
Q: Who do you get girl advice from? Gregg: My mom, or me from learning from mistakes. I learned oh no don’t do that, that happens all the time. Or just from my girl friends, my close girl friends. They help me out with advice on what to do and what not to do.
Q: Are you still confused by girls? Gregg: I think I’m always gonna be confused by girls, I think I’m always gonna be confused by guys too but I think that’s apart of the fun too, you know you don’t really know what they’re thinking or whats going on. The only one I’m not confused by is my mother because I’ve lived with her for long. I think I’m always gonna be confused by girls.
