Behind The Scenes: Sparkling crystals, sequins, gems and other sublime embellishments of pale blue and silver shades are strategically sewn to create geometric diamond shapes by the famously talented hands of the artisans at the Chanel atelier as they are readied to be made into a divine dress for the Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2014 collection.

From Atelier to Runway: busy hands at work in the Chanel HC Atelier carefully sewing, weaving and beading an unfinished piece which will end up being the grand finale bride dress as worn by Edie Campbell for Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2012.

Hours upon hours of dedication goes into making these delicate works of art, the artisans handiwork so painstakingly precise you’d believe they were crafted by the Couture Gods themselves. After late night fittings and the OK by Karl Lagerfeld the designs which were once just dreams are able to make their way down the runway - a true fashion fairytale.
