You’ll always have a home- Jughead Jones

Pairing: Jughead Jones x Reader

Warnings: Angst, kissing, like a makeout kinda part? Is that even a warning?

Description: Jughead seemed off lately, with Jason’s death, and the drive-min closing, reader can tell something is off, but cant really pinpoint what

—————————————————————

The first time I could tell something was off was when I mentioned the coffeemaker. It was funny how something as simple as the mention of a coffee pot was the spark of my curiosity towards the situation.
“I swear to god, you drink so much coffee, I’m just going to get you a pot for your birthday so you can save some money.” And there it was, the slight twitch in his shoulders and the split second of a tense look on his face before he began laughing along. It was so quick, I was surprised I even caught it, but I did.
I never asked about Jughead’s home life. He always steered clear of it so I figured it was a touchy subject. I wondered why I hadn’t been invited over in… well…. ever. Then I started putting together the bits and pieces of information and realized: I hadn’t a clue what roof Jughead was sleeping under at night.
Obviously, it was time to investigate.
And I had the perfect opportunity one afternoon.
“Shit, I forgot my textbook at home.” Jughead muttered, his head ducked down and searching in his schoolbag.
“We can walk to your house and get it if you want.” There it was, the tense-up. Jughead froze in his tracks for a split second before regaining his composure and kept walking. To anybody else, it would have looked normal, but I wasn’t anyone else. I was his best friend, and he was the boy I was in love with.
“No, it’s fine. I can just use yours, right?” Jughead looked at me with almost pleading eyes, and I didn’t want to egg him on any longer. I wanted him to open up and tell me the truth, not shut me out.
“Yeah, of course.” I smiled up at my friend and he smiled back reassuringly. Deep down, I knew something was wrong.
And a week later, I began to confirm those suspicions.
“Can you believe they’re shutting down the drive-in?!” Jughead screeched at me one morning as I walked up the front steps of our school.
“Wait, what?” I gave him a confused look.
“Yeah! Apparently an “anonymous buyer” gave the mayor an offer she just couldn’t refuse” Jughead through his hands up in dramatic sarcasm before scoffing and folding them over his chest angrily.
“Juggie, I’m sorry you’re going to lose your job, but- “
“it’s more than just my job, y/n!” Jughead paused for a second. I watched his Addams apple move quickly as he gulped down words that were threatening to pour out of his mouth. “It’s, it’s, it’s a special place! It’s special to us! I took you there when you first moved here! Remember?!”
“Yeah.” I laughed, thinking back to the memories of Jug and I sneaking up to the film roll room and watching through the peek hole while Jughead made sure the tapes were switched out on time.
“hello?! Earth to y/n?” Jughead waved his face in front of me, and I brought myself out of my quick trip to the past, listening to Jugheads rambling about the drive- in.
Jughead brought it up later to our friends as we ate at pop’s, inviting Veronica, Kevin, Betty and I to the last drive in on Friday. Of course, they all agreed to go, and we all planned who we would drive with. I decided to walk with Jughead, and Kevin was taking Veronica. Betty was going to go with Archie.
“I’m going to go to the mayor again and see if I can convince her to keep the drive- in.” Jughead told me as we began to part ways that night. I grabbed his sleeve, pulling me back to him.
“Jughead, why is the Twilight drive-in so important to save?” I asked him, my voice soft and full of concern.
“It’s my job, y/n! I thought that might be an important thing to try and save!” Jughead’s words dripped with sarcasm as he yelled at me. He never usually got angry like this.
“Ok, I’ll see you at school tomorrow, good luck.” I spoke softly as I backed away slowly. I watched Jughead’s face go from angry to apologetic and walked away before he could say anything.
Jughead and I didn’t really speak much for the next few days. We still walked to class together, and he walked me home. He told me that the Mayor just wouldn’t listen to him or give his words any consideration, so I tried going to her myself the day after he did to change her mind.
“Hello, miss- “I opened the door to her office slowly, speaking with the politest tone I could manage.
“Miss y/l/n, I’m sorry, but the drive in is closing, and that’s final.” The mayor cut me off with a firm but somewhat polite tone.
“I’m sorry to bother you, this is just really important to Jughead. I just wanted to at least try and change your mind.”
“That’s quite alright, miss y/l/n.” The mayor smiled at me, staring at me for another moment before speaking again.
“Jughead is… special. He doesn’t have a lot of friends, certainly not any that would at least try to help him with something like this. I’m sorry I can’t save the drive in. I wish I could, for your sake and Jughead’s, but… “The mayor sighed, rubbing the side of her head with her thumb and forefinger.
“Thank you for your time.” I nodded, beginning to exit the Mayor’s office.
“Y/n?” I turned to the sound of the mayor’s voice. “Jughead is lucky to have a friend like you.”
“Thank you, Mayor.” I exited the office, my shoulders heavy.
The night of the drive-in, I rode to the lot with Kevin and Veronica, meeting up with Jughead. I found him by the snack counter and smiled as I watched him talk aimlessly with the boy in the booth.
“Hey, Jug.” I greeted my best friend and the boy he was talking to.
“Hey, y/n/n.” Jughead wrapped an arm around me, hugging me tightly. I wrapped my arms around his waist, my head leaning against his chest.
“How are you feeling?” I asked him, my voice muffled by his shirt. Jughead shrugged before looking down at me with a small smile on his face.
“Could be better, but you’re here, so I guess I’m not under a complete raincloud of doom.”
“Oh, so just a small one then?” I teased, grinning up at him.
“Yeah, it’s kinda just lingering somewhere behind me, ready to open up and strike me with a lightning bolt at any given moment.” I laughed at Jughead’s comment.
“Are you gonna come lay with us on the truck?” I asked him, a pleading look on my face. I grabbed his hand and began tugging him toward Kevin’s truck.
Jughead sucked in a breath before giving in. “Fine, Fine, I guess I’ll be angsty and depressed in the back of the truck instead of in the film room.” I jumped happily before intertwining Jughead’s hand with mine and pulling him towards the back of the truck. Veronica and Kevin sat curled up in blankets and scooted over so Jughead and I could sit next to them.
“Ah, it’s the official partners in crime, the tag team, the endgame, the- “
“I thought Archie and Betty were endgame?” I cut off Kevin before he could throw another couple reference at jughead and I.
“Yes, but that was before he got vocal with our music teacher.” Kevin grinned at his subtle pun and I rolled my eye.
“Ok, no Archie, no Ms. Grundy, no endgames, let’s just enjoy the drive in while we can, alright?” Veronica handed Jughead and I a blanket. I climbed in to Jughead’s lap and rested my back against his chest and he wrapped the blanket around us, his arms going around my waist under the cloth.
“Thank you,” Jughead whispered in my ear.
“For what?” I whispered back, grabbing the popcorn Veronica handed me.
“The mayor told me you stopped by to see her.” Jughead whispered to me. I turned around to face him and he was looking up at the big drive in screen, the lights reflecting off his face and casting shadows under his eyes and chin. He looked painstakingly beautiful. Jughead’s eyes flickered down to look at me and he smirked a bit before looking back up at the screen.
We stayed almost the whole night, watching movie after movie. The only time Jughead left was to go switch out the rolls as the credits came after the end of every showing. He would re-appear five minutes later, and I would lift the blanket as he hopped over the side of Kevin’s truck and resumed his prior position, his arms wrapped around me and his chin on my shoulder. At 4 in the morning, the credits to the last movie rolled, with only a few cars left on the lot. Veronica and Kevin were leaned against each other as they snored lightly, and my back rested against Jughead’s chest. I looked up at the mesmerizing boy. He had a hard look on his face and his jaw was clenched, his eyes glossy and shiny, the credits from the screen reflecting off his pupils.
“Jughead?” I spoke softly, my eyes on the raven-haired boy. He kept his gaze on the screen ahead of him. “Jughead, the construction people will be here soon, we have to go.”
“You guys go, I’m gonna hang around a little longer.” Jughead pulled away from me, climbing out of the truck and disappearing around the side of it. I turned to my friends, shaking them lightly to wake them up. Kevin woke first, carrying a still-sleeping Veronica around to the passenger seat and lying her in it. I grabbed my blanket and my backpack and swung it over my shoulder and waited at the driver’s side of the vehicle.
“Aren’t you and Jughead coming?” Kevin asked me, walking around to the front of the car where I stood.
“No, Jughead said he wanted to stay a bit longer, so I’ll wait with him.” I hugged my friend before he climbed in to the driver’s side.
“Hey, if you guys do it in the film room, I want details.” Kevin grinned devilishly before starting the car and driving away. I just shook my head, laughing at his comment. I made my way to the wall of the film room and leaned against it, folding my blanket. I pulled the bag off my shoulder, sticking the blanket inside.
I waited for Jughead for another hour or so, playing on my phone mindlessly. I figured he was soaking up what he could of the film room before Mr. Andrews’ company teared it to shreds. The drive- in was his favorite place in town, besides the chock-lit shoppe.
I watched as the sky started to get lighter and I checked the time. 6:08 A.M. It wasn’t like I had never pulled an all-nighter before, and I wasn’t going to leave until I at least made sure Jughead was alright and home safe. I leaned back against the building, hearing birds chirping as the sun rose. Minutes later, I heard a voice from the other side of the building, and I turned my head, kicking off the wall with my heel and poking my head slightly around the corner. I saw the back of Jughead, and he was facing a man that looked familiar. Jughead had what looked like a camper bag hanging off his back, a poster sticking out of it.
“They’ll tear that booth down, too. Raise the whole place, send it to the junkyard.” The man in front of Jughead spoke, a smile playing on his lips.” And us with it.”
“Yeah, maybe they’ll save it. All the pieces. Store it in the town hall attic and rebuild it in a hundred years. Wonder who the hell we were.” I could almost picture the bittersweet smile on Jug’s face.
“Hmm.” The man smiled a bit more before his face became serious.
“So where are you gonna live now?” My heart stopped, a million emotions and realizations hitting me like a bus.
“I’ll figure it out dad, I always do.” I watched Jughead walked past him, walking towards the entrance of the drive in. I snuck around the other side of the building, making my way towards the entrance. I managed to beat Jughead to it and stood at the gate, my arms crossed as I waited for the boy I loved.
Jughead came around the corner, stopping in his tracks when he saw me. He had what looked like a busted look in his face as I stood there, a blank expression matching the hurt, worry, and concern for the boy.
“Y/n… what are you still doing here? I thought you-?” Jughead asked me, hoping I hadn’t caught on to what was going on.
“When exactly were you planning on telling me that you were homeless?” I cut him off, my tone of voice coming off as if I were a concerned mother. Jughead opened his mouth, trying to find the words to speak, but gave up, closing it instead.
Juggie? Really? I’m your best friend! We tell each other everything? Why would you keep this from me? More importantly, why aren’t you staying with your father? Is he homeless too? Did he kick you out? What is going on, Forsythe?! Tell me!” I paced back and forth as I rambled, before turning to look at Jughead. He looked down at the dirt underneath his shoes, His hand wrapped around the strap of his bag. I waited for an answer, my arms spread wide in front of me as I stared at him. Jughead said something that I couldn’t make out.
“What?” I spoke, encouraging him to repeat himself. Jughead lifted his head, the rims of his eyes a dark pink and tears falling down his face. My face dropped quickly, my heart clenching tightly as I looked at the broken boy in front of me.
“I said,” Jughead lifted his sleeve to wipe his running nose.” I don’t have a home.” His voice cracked slightly and more tears fell down Jughead’s face as he dropped the bag from his shoulder.
“Jughead.” I dropped my bag as well and quickly ran to the boy, trying to keep my tears from falling as I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. Jughead wrapped his arms around my waist, burying his face in to my neck and quietly crying. We stood there for a few minutes, my one hand rubbing his back and my other pulling off his hat so I could run my fingers through his hair, doing everything I knew in my power that could soothe him.
“Jughead, Hey, Jug.” My hands cupped his cheeks, rubbing the tears away from his eyes while mine began to fall freely.” Listen to me, you are not homeless, ok? And you will never, ever, be homeless, as long as I am alive and breathing.” I stopped for a second to inhale quickly, my nose stuffed.” You are going to come with me to Pop’s, and I’m going to buy us breakfast, and then we are going to go back to my house, and you’re going to take a shower, because lord knows how long it’s been since you’ve had one,” Jughead chuckled lightly at my statement and I also let out a breathy laugh.” And then you’re going to crawl in to the guest bed, and you’re going to get some sleep, because it literally exhausts me every time I see those bags under your eyes. And you’re going to stay with me, ok?” Jughead nodded silently, knowing that this was a losing battle.
“And this never. Happens. Again. You got it? God, Jug, something terrible could have happened to you. We’ve got a murderer waltzing around town, do you know how easily you could have been killed?” I scolded, more tears falling down my face. I backed away from Jughead, going to grab my bag. “I don’t know how I can ever survive without you, ever! I would have dropped dead if anything ever happened to you! You’re the most important thing in this entire world to me! I don’t even know how- “Jughead grabbed my arm, turning me to face him before leaning down and planting his lips on mine. I stood still for a second, processing the shock of the gesture before wrapping my arms back around his neck and pulling his body closer to mine. Jughead wrapped his arms around my waist, his lips moving against mine. After a few moments, we pulled apart, my chest rising and falling as I caught my breath.
“Jughead, I- “Apparently, Jughead wasn’t done, because he pressed his lips to mine again, taking my breath away once more. We stood at the gate of the drive in for a little while longer, Jughead pushing me backwards until my back was against the fence and his body was pressed firmly against mine. We broke apart when we heard a man clear his throat.
“Uh, we’re gonna have to ask you to leave the premises.” The man spoke politely.” Construction begins soon.”
“Oh, sorry sir.” I apologized quickly, fixing my hair that Jughead had his fist tangled in moments ago, and grabbed my bag. Jughead did the same, grabbing my hand and leading me away from the drive in and down the street towards Pop’s. We stopped at my house so we could drop off our bags and began our trek to the 24-hour diner.
“Hey, Jughead.” I looked up at the boy as we walked hand in hand to the diner. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” Jughead looked down at me, smiling warmly.
“No, Jughead, I- “
“I know, and I love you, too.” I stopped walking, causing Jughead to stop as well. Jughead looked down at me and I leaned up, pressing another kiss to his lips.
Jughead and I made it to the diner soon after, spotting Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Kevin at a booth. When they saw us, they invited us to sit and Archie and Kevin grabbed chairs from another table.
“So, did anything happen in the film room?” Kevin wiggled his eyebrows at me as Jughead and I slid in to the booth. I slapped his shoulder before glaring at him.
“Nah, nothing happened in the film room.” Jughead paused momentarily before speaking again.” It happened outside the film room.” Kevin’s mouth dropped open wide.
“You kinky fuckers!” Kevin hollered. The table laughed as I turned red in embarrassment. I felt Jughead’s hand grab mine under the table and I smiled, my fingers intertwining with his.
He would always have a home, and it would be with me.

It was Friday night. Jeff had picked you up from your house and cruised over to the Crestmont. He played his country music, mocking the deep accents. You had the window rolled down, your hair blowing in your face.

Once you arrived, Jeff had bought tickets to the new thriller in town. You linked your arm to his, feeling his warmth.

“Hey Clay,” Jeff fist bumped your brother. “She’s here, safe and sound.”

Clay shook his head. He got the movie packet together, which consisted of two medium sodas, a large popcorn, red vines and-

“Skittles?” Jeff looked at Clay. “I thought it was just red vines?”

“Well, yeah,” Clay shrugged. “But y/n likes skittles. I won’t charge for that.”

You gave your brother a small smile. “Thanks Clay.”

“Of course,” he nodded. “Enjoy your movie.”

Jeff held the large box in one arm, and even though he struggled, he still took your hand. Once you settled down in the middle of the theater, you ripped open the bag of skittles.

You poured a few into your hand. You motioned your handful to Jeff.

“You want?” You offered.

Jeff chuckled, taking a few colors. He dropped them in all at once. Once he swallowed his sweets, he turned to face you.

“What’s your least favorite skittles flavor?” He asked, not minding his volume at all.

You widened your eyes at him. You folded your lips into your mouth. When he wouldn’t look away, you whispered to him your answer. He nodded, and took the bag of skittles. He took out all the colors that you claimed were not in your palate.

You furrowed your brows. “What are you doing?” You whispered. His smirked, holding the solid color in his hand.

“I’m getting rid of what you don’t like,” Jeff announced. He tossed the number of skittles in his mouth, squinting his eyes. “Apparently, I don’t like them either…” He coughed.

You laughed into your hand, muffling your giggles. Jeff got to the point where he had to swallow the sugary treat. He sipped his cola, clearing his throat.

“I will get rid of anything you don’t like, Y/N,” Jeff spoke, his voice raspy. “Unless I hate it too, then it’s up to Clay.”

Meditate your ass off

What is meditation basically? Lots of people will tell you that meditation is supposed to calm your mind.

But what will really meditation do to you is that you’ll be able to CONTROL your mind. Or at least you’ll be better at it, which is something huge, believe me. And controlled mind is a big tool in magic work.

There are 3 basic types of meditation.

1. Just observe your mind. This is something that you can do when you have time. Sit on your couch, lie on your bed - whatever feels good for you - that’s the key. Close your eyes and just try to observe what’s your mind up to. The important thing is - don’t try to think. Just let your mind exist. It almost feels like falling asleep, actually. Once you try it you can feel how freeing that moment is.

2. Be aware. Yes, awareness of your body and later, of what is happening around you. For example, try to be aware of your breathing. Focus on how you breathe. Just feel how your nostrils feel the air coming in and out. Tap on your forehead with your finger and feel the spot. Be aware of the sensation. Focus on it like nothing else exist. Just the sensation you feel on your skin.

3. Focus on one thing and one thing only with your mind. As I always say, start with something easy like an orange. Orange is easy to imagine in your mind. Picture its structure. Picture its taste on your tongue. Picture how it feels when you touch it. Basically, put together a picture of everything you know about the orange and keep mind picturing it. Feel the orange for as long as possible. If you lose your concentration, it’s alright and you did nothing wrong - we’re humans, not robots. Just try again :)

Questions you may ask:

Q: What if I don’t have time for meditation? I’m busy with school and work!

A: Well, of course we live in a world that needs our presence. And number 2 and 3 can be done while you wait for the bus, while you’re stuck in traffic jam, and so on. Don’t lose hope, just because you’re busy :)

Q: Is it really necessary to meditate?

A: Nothing is necessary, it’s your choice. But the truth is, if you choose to meditate, you’ll be able to control your mind better and it’s not only helpful in magic work. It can help you if you have trouble sleeping and so on. Helps with anxiety, too, btw.

Q: How does meditation help control mind?

A: Number 1 can teach you:

- how to be aware of what’s going on in your mind on the level you can’t reach yet. Later, you can use this new entry to your mind and analyze your psyche better.

- how to not fall asleep when you try astral traveling before going to bed.

- lucid dreaming :)

  Number 2 can teach you:

- how to be aware of what your body wants and needs even though it can’t speak.

- how to be aware of what is happening around you in a crowd - kind of good skill to have these days, sadly.

- how to feel if something paranormal is happening around you.

  Number 3 can teach you:

- how to use your willpower as a tool for your magic work.

- power of good imagination raises IQ and plain common sense.

Remember that if something isn’t going well for the first time you try, it doesn’t mean it’ll be like this forever. Things can better with practice. So don’t worry. We were all lame shits when we started.

Enjoy :)

Do you have any advice on what to do if you lose your joy and interest in writing when a writer was how you identified yourself?

(wry look) Life just pulled one of those cute things where I had three-quarters of a response written and I hit the wrong keys somehow and it all went away. Which tells me that this is important. So let me recreate it.

The best advice I’ve got for you right now is to lean back and wait, because normally the joy and interest will come back. Being a writer, and having enjoyed and been interested in it previously, isn’t something that goes away all that easily. The set of behaviors that make up being a writer are complex and difficult to ingrain… which is going to make the ability to do this kind of work difficult to lose even if you were trying to do so. So, first of all: take heart.

Now it has to be said that, human nature and psychology (and nature itself) being the cranky intransigent things they sometimes are, it may (paradoxically) be necessary for your recovery of your joy and interest in the work to completely surrender to the concept that you might actually have permanently lost it. I know this sounds counterintuitive, but the effectiveness of simply giving up is sometimes surprising.  There’s a saying attributed to Carl Jung, the father of the concept of Archetype as we now understand it, that goes like this: “What you resist, persists; and not only does it persist, but it gets bigger in size.” (There’s a good long article about this concept over here in Psychology Today: worth looking at. …Though I also have to say that the illo at the top is hilarious and perfect, because Kylo Ren should frankly be the poster child for the whole idea.)

My own experience suggests that there are times when as soon as you give up, the thing that’s been eluding you either collapses to the ground where you can just stroll over and reclaim it, or turns around and runs headlong into your arms. Frustrating, but what can you do? When the whole point is to get whatever it is back, the idea that it played you a little in the process will after the fact seem less of an issue.

Possible causes for what’s going on with you are worth touching on briefly. I’ve had occasion to post a number of times about something that C. S. Lewis codified in The Screwtape Letters as “the Law of Undulations”. Now as much as I love him, there would be a lot of things that Clive and I would disagree about, but this wouldn’t be one of them. I think he was really onto something. So take a look at that basic post, and then we can move on a bit.

With the Law in mind, while you’re working on what “giving up” might look like – assuming you need to go that far – here are some possibly similar situations and strategies to consider.

Some of the above situations come with suggestions of possible things you can do about them. But do not underestimate the power of simply waiting a while and not doing anything. It’s worth emphasizing that in our culture as it stands at the moment, there’s endless emphasis on immediately DOING THINGS to fix what ails you. Sometimes not doing anything is more effective – though to some people that’s going to sound heretical, and you’ll run the risk of being accused of laziness (not least by the back of your own mind, once it realizes you’re onto something that’s going to give you back control of the situation. The self-sabotaging wiliness of a subconscious about to lose its advantage can be a terrifying thing… but even that loses some of its terrors when your conscious mind suspects or knows what it’s up to.) Anyway, ignore that noise.

Give doing nothing a good long chance. Stoke up on your reading. Get caught up on TV and movies if that’s your thing. Do other work. Create something that isn’t writing. (Cooking’s good for this. I love being responsible for mighty successes or godawful failures in the kitchen and knowing that the critics at Kirkus and PW are not going to give the slightest damns about it.)

But tl:dr; Don’t despair: just kick back and wait. And see how it goes.

…And eventually let me know how you get on. :)  HTH.

You weren’t exactly sure when Min Yoongi had come into town.

To be quite honest, you didn’t even know when it was that he had first stepped into the coffee shop you worked at. It was hopeless attempting to remember each person who passed through the establishment, especially not when the interactions generally lasted less than a minute. The faces of the customers you encountered every single day just blended together, much like their orders of caramel macchiatos and green tea lattes. It was difficult to keep track of the cursory café connoisseurs, but you knew one thing was for certain.

He hadn’t been here before.

Bucky followed you around the next morning like a lost puppy. He was nervous, constantly biting his nails, his hands fidgeting. You drank at least three cups of coffee, trying to keep your mind clear and alert for the sure shit storm that was going to be this trial. You had put out all the stops to pull these strings; normally, cases like this didn’t go to trial for months. But you knew people and, although you didn’t exercise that privilege often, you were glad it was there.

Somebody Else Pt 4

Pt 1 Pt 2 Pt 3 Pt 5

Genre: Smut, Angst, college AU

Pairing: Jungkook x reader x Taehyung

Summary: You had met Jungkook on a summer day at the age of 10,  at 12 you became best friends,  at 14 you had your first kiss,  at 15 you fell in love and at 16 you made love. You’ve never really knew what heartbreak was until at the age of 18 he broke your heart.

Inspired by Somebody else by the 1975.

A/N: Sorry if i have grammar mistakes, English is not my first language.

I wasn’t gonna post this today but here it is :)

You didn’t hear his almost inaudible whisper as he stroked your hair, hugging you closer to him “What am I going to do with you? You make me crazy”. You looked up to him, his strands of blonde hair matted in sweat pushed back. “That was amazing” you whispered.

“I know right? I was made for this” he cockily grinned. “Oh my god you are such a tease” you hit his chest and he grabs your hands as he places his finger against your lips. ”But I know you love it”. He says before he sucks your bottom lip into his mouth.

A week went by and all you could think about was Taehyung, his kisses, his very touch, his beautiful laughter, his silly way of being… he was the calm after the storm. But you couldn’t stop Jungkook’s name from crossing your mind at least once a day. Since the fight he had sent you dozens of texts, he even called you. But you had ignored each one of them. You had decided with Taehyung that you would keep your “relationship” secret for a while until you were ready to tell Jungkook. You really didn’t know what to tell Jungkook; “I like one of your best friends and I want to try to have a relationship with him?” You knew that wouldn’t work, you knew that the moment you would see Jungkook, the name Taehyung would disappear from your head. You knew that the moment you tried to leave Jungkook he would follow you and absorb you again, so strong was your attachment to him, so strong the name of Jeon Jungkook was buried in your heart.

A nocked sounded at your front door and you hurried to get out of the couch to open it,

You looked through the peephole of the door to meet a young man with blond hair, you smiled to yourself before opening the door with a smile on your face. “What are you doing here?” You asked.

Taehyung stood in front of the now open door with his characteristic grin. “I just wanted to see you” he replied; entering to your house with a long step to shorten the distance of your bodies. He cupped your cheeks in both of his hands and gently pressed his pink lips against yours. A feeling of calmness running through you right away; It was always like that with Taehyung, he managed to generate that effect in people; Tranquility.

You closed the door by pushing him against it, melting in the kiss deeper. If you were thinking about Jungkook just moments ago; that name was now in the depths of your head.

Taehyung was the first to separate his lips for air. “someone is anxious?” He chuckled softly. “Yah! You appeared out of nowhere in my apartment” you said blushing. "Speaking of which, what are you doing here seriously?”

“You didn’t want to see me?” He asked frowning, pretending to be hurt. “Firstly I really wanted to see you and … secondly there’s a party at Jackson’s tomorrow, you should go …” he said as he walked towards the sofa to sit on.

“Uh oh Jungkook will surely be there Tae, I’m not ready yet” Saying the name of your ex aloud still was hard and more with the man who was in front of you at the moment.

“Listen… I know Jungkook will be there, but this is an opportunity to show him that you are more than an object with which he can play and then throw away.” He stopped and then continued. “I’m not telling you to tell Jungkook about … our relationship” The last word came out in a sigh, the way he said it made you feel bad, you knew that Tae wanted to be with you officially, wanted to show everyone how happy he could make you, but it was not yet the time when Jungkook still fluttered in your mind. “Just go, take Minah with you, have some fun,” He finished smiling, giving you security.

“You’re right, I could have some fun after all…” you agreed with Taehyung that leaving your house wouldn’t do you so bad, you could always leave the party if you felt uncomfortable. “If you want to leave just send me a text and we’ll leave together, what do you think?” He said in a seductive voice, intending to continue what had happened a few minutes ago between you two.

That ended up convincing you; you had Minah and Tae if something went wrong. Maybe you wouldn’t even see Jungkook with the number of people who used to attend the parties of Jackson.

The reality was that Taehyung was everything you wanted to have after Jungkook broke up with you, someone who was there for you, who would listen to you, who would talk to you, distract you from the horrible thoughts that inhabited your mind. Since the black-haired young man left you, the only thing you could think of was that you weren’t good enough, beautiful enough or intelligent enough and that’s why he left you. You couldn’t help thinking that there was something wrong with you, that you had done something mistakenly, you still didn’t understand very well how fate had made you cross with a person as wonderful as Kim Taehyung, and how he had accepted you with his arms open even knowing how broken you were. There was more of Kim Taehyung than you knew.

Tae’s deep voice brought you back to the real world. “What are you thinking?” He asked and you looked at him in surprise. The question shocked you a little, pushing the thought to the back of your mind, hiding them, with your best smile you answered; “I was just thinking about what to wear tomorrow,” you lied.

“Ah, I do not care what you wear as long as you take it off for me.” He grinned and winked at you as you rolled your eyes at the comment but you couldn’t help but smile.

“Are you thinking about impure things already? What a slutty woman.”

“YAH! What are you saying!? You’re the one who was talking about taking off my clothes!” You replied by throwing yourself to him and hitting him on the chest with both hands.

Suddenly he grabbed you gently but strongly enough for you to not be able to move and turned you around, locking you on the couch with his legs “Or … you can take off your clothes now, I wouldn’t mind,” he said before kissing you roughly.

Here we go again.

Bitter was the only taste you could feel on your tongue. Maybe it was the cheap wine that left such a rotten aftertaste, maybe it’s the way he paid so much attention to her over his own wife. Bitter wasn’t only what you tasted, but it was also what you felt. It’s harmless. He had whined when you confronted him about the new woman from C&R. She was.. Beautiful. Much more than you were– at least In your mind; you had thought so. Long silver hair that went past her shoulders and swayed at her lower back so gracefully. Ocean of blue was the only thing you could see inside her round wide eyes, and she was small too. Thin waist, long legs. A looker all around. But you know what was the most striking feature of them all?

She looked like his fucking cat.

He was interested in a woman that looked like his cat. His million dollar fur ball in human form. The thought was so mind boggling, but that’s Jumin for you.

You gripped your wine glass so tightly; it could’ve shattered at any moment. Of course you were jealous. Your husband was spending more time with his co-worker than he was his own goddamn wife. Who wouldn’t be?

They really never ‘flirted’ per say. He just seemed so.. intrigued, and curious about her; the one apparently named Eliza. God, even her name was so similar to Elizabeth. It drove you insane how much he talked about her now days, it bothered you so much. When you try to change the subject, it always floats back to her.

“ Why the pout kitten? ”
You groaned as a familiar red head snuck up behind your chair, scratching a finger underneath your chin just as one would do to a cat. He usually did that to you, and Jumin hated it. But what Jumin hates was the last thing you cared about right now.

You lazily lift your right hand off of the love-seat to point towards the duo who was chatting on together– looking ever so happy– as your left brought the half emptied wine glass up to your lips. The liquid went down hot seeing as you let it sit for so long, the temperature had gotten the better of it. This was your… Fourth? Yeah, Fourth glass of wine as of tonight. The leather chair squeaked as Seven plopped down– rather roughly, onto it. He groaned contently, the relief of being off his feet for the first time tonight was an amazing feeling. Dress shoes aren’t his thing, and now he remembers why.

“ Hm.. Is that the lady that he’s always talking about? The chick that looks like my lil’ baby Elly? ”
His eyes gleamed at the thought of the soft little kitty, but he quickly was pulled back to reality. He brought a finger up to his mouth in thought as he observed the two carefully– No touching each other yet, that’s good.. He said internally.

“ Yeah. ”
You answered curtly with a venomous tone, practically burning holes into the back of your husbands head– Praying maybe just maybe he’d turn because of it; see you alone with Seven and he’d kick into defensive mode, come swoop you up and take you back home to get you away from Luciel’s flirtations. Hell, you wouldn’t even mind that. Any kind of attention right now would feel good.

“ Awh– Is somebody jealous? ”
He batted his eyelashes annoyingly as he spoke with a baby voice– Of course you were jealous! How couldn’t you be? But you didn’t want to let the goof know his assumptions were truth; so you push his face softly away from yours, he pretends to have a knockback much stronger than what little force you used– it made you both chuckle together with soft smirks tugging at the corner of your lips.

“ It just.. sucks balls. ”
You used his lingo, much to his amusement. “ Sucks balls indeed. ”
Luciel mimicked you before sighing heavily after he commented, personally he found it quite annoying that Jumin hadn’t been paying attention to you. he would love to hang out with you all day. Be able to be with you the way Jumin can; Cat dad doesn’t know how good he has it.

“ It’s like i’m the side chick; You know? Agh.. And I know– It doesn’t seem like a romantic thing.. Jumin just wouldn’t do that… ”
You whisper the last part to yourself, however Luciel has keen hearing. He raised his brow in doubt as you continued on.

“ I wish he didn’t act like he found me boring now days.. ”
The ring on your finger clinked gently against the wine glass– catching your attention. Memories of how it used to be caused you to smile as you stared down at the large diamond your husband gave to you to propose.
Yes, Jumin still treated you good. You felt you didn’t have the right to complain; after all, he was a very loving husband. Maybe it was the controlling side you had deep down inside of you, or it could be you just don’t like how pretty that woman is– It’s aggravating not knowing why this whole thing bothers you so much. It just does.

Things have changed slightly, you’ve noticed. Late nights at the office had been getting even later; that was your first real concern. But with a nudge, you got Jaehee to hang around at work to see what on earth Jumin really does around there. It wasn’t anything groundbreaking, he was indeed working– Which relieved you instantly. She assured you at work there was no flirtations, they just seemed like friends. Hell, everyone told you they just seemed like friends. Maybe you were exaggerating too much– But the pit in your stomach just wouldn’t go away.

“ I bet if I kissed you he wouldn’t find you ‘oh so boring’ anymore huh? ”
You raised a brow at his unexpected words, it was clear Seven had a peculiar interest in yourself but.. It wasn’t something that got in between your friendship. Luciel knew his limits. But that statement was quite bold; it caught your attention.
“ He’d probably permanently sew three– No, Four– body guards on you at all times if he knew I even laid a hand on you…. Agh! ” He threw his head back in frustration, causing you to smile softly. That was true; Jumin probably would pay much more attention to you if something like that were to happen, but you’d never. You could never. It just wasn’t right.

“ MC? ”
The low voice caused you to look upwards– Slowly at that, eyes following the soft pattern of that black suit you knew oh so well. A pair of dark black eyes meet your own, causing you to shiver. He always had that effect on you.

He was tugging on his cufflinks out of boredom, right away he noticed how close Luciel was towards you. It bothered him, and he had no problem voicing those concerns.
“ No. Leave space, at least enough to fit three Elizabeth the 3rds in between you.”
Jumin suddenly grabs your hips firmly–you have to bite your lip to keep from yelping– sliding your body across the leather couch to follow his rule.
Always have to leave space for the Elizabeths.
Both you and Seven roll your eyes at the so called ‘rule’ but Jumin looked quite pleased with himself.

“ You’re one to talk.. Where’s the three Elizabeth’s in between you and pretty girl over there huh? ”
Seven chimed in, You knew right away Jumin would brush it off like he always does– You sigh heavily to yourself. Staring into the dark liquid of your glass as the two start to bicker.

“ I did the math, there was 3.6 Elizabeth the 3rds in between us. I follow the rules, as should you two.”
You couldn’t help but snicker at that, Much to Jumin’s displeasure. He looked down at you heavily for a few moments, after he got no response– He spoke again.
“ We’ll be going soon MC. Would you like me to grab your coat? ”
The ride home was quiet. Driver Kim made small talk with you; he always does. He’s a nice man, and even he seemed to notice something wrong with you. Why couldn’t Jumin notice then? You were texting Seven while slumped into the seat of the car, It was on the messenger but in a private message over the usual chatrooms.

” Con fron tation!!! Con fron tation!!! ”

You smiled softly at the text, looking up for a moment to see what Jumin was doing. He was in his phone as well, so you decided to continue.

“ Should I? What if he yells at me -_- ”

“ then i’ll teleport over there myself and rescue you n elly from that cruel cruel man!!! you deserve better! #justice for elly and mc 2k17!!!!! lololol ”

Well. Maybe you should? But you didn’t want Jumin to be upset. Speaking of which, he seemed to notice you giggling into your phone this whole time. Not saying a word though, but you could feel his eyes on you from across the seat.
Awh, was he jealous?
Part of you wanted him to take a seat in the jealousy club. There’s obviously room for him to join. But it was cruel to have an eye for an eye after all.
Powering down the phone, You place it at your side before sighing softly. Your gaze quickly meets your husbands who had done the same thing a few minutes ago. With a soft smile you look over towards him for a moment before focusing your attention to the window– The penthouse was in view.

He looked like he wanted to say something; But the car had already stopped.
“ We’re back Elizabeth the 3rd! ”
You call out to the kitty; the jingle of sparkly bells on her collar was getting closer and closer by the second. Setting down your bag before crouching, You greet the little fur ball who was meowing wildly– Desperate for attention. She enjoyed your petting; but it was clear Jumin’s eye was what she was after. That makes two, Huh?

“ Hello Elizabeth the 3rd. ” Jumin smiles gently at her as he hangs his coat on the rack, revealing a clean white button up shirt. He uses the backs of his knuckles to pet her face, the sound of her purrs echoed throughout the quiet home.
You leave the two alone; not before excusing yourself to go– just to get out of this god forsaken dress. This dress was tighter than ones you’ve worn before; hoping it might catch Jumin’s attention a little more, but instead you only got some extra looks from creeps and weirdos. Oh– And Seven, but he sort of falls into that category.
From the closet you choose something comfortable, loose grey sweatpants and a simple black tee shirt. It was soft, Jumin only picked materials that were the best of the best for you after all.

Taking one final look into the mirror, you inhale deeply; absolutely dreading the talk to come. Would he brush you off once more? Or finally listen to your pleas? You were mentally planning what to say to your husband.

’ Hey look– Im jealous to the point of it being painful so you can’t be friends anymore with Miss Kitty. No talking. Nothing. Only me. Okay? ’

Fuck no.
That sounded terrible. But hell, it’s what you were thinking after all. It felt so selfish, but one thing Jumin always said is he wanted you to be selfish with him. It’s something he always states constantly, So why do you feel guilty for actually being selfish now?

You made up in your mind that you’d just wing it. Let your emotions spill over, say whatever it is you’re feeling. Hopefully it would give him the push to accept that you were indeed lonely. You wanted to be the only woman in his life… To just hoard him all to yourself. God it sounded awful; but it was the truth.

Your bare feet squeaked against the hardwood flooring, anxiety filled you like never before seeing Jumin resting quietly on the couch, Elizabeth the 3rd by his side.
Without a word, you take your seat across from him. The couch was of course big enough for the both of you, but you really didn’t want to sit next to him right now. Back here was fine. The room was silent, besides Elizabeth the 3rds soft purrs and the gentle hum of the light fixtures. You sort of phase out for a moment, eyes out of focus as you’re lost in thought.

“ Whats wrong with you lately? ” Jumin said suddenly, causing your head to snap up; breaking you from your mindless thoughts. His eyes were trained onto the cat besides him instead of you. He looked calm as always, but his scowl was a bit more pronounced as of now.

“ Nice of you to notice. ”
You state sarcastically, rolling your eyes and hugging yourself by crossing your arms below your chest. He let out a low growl of disapproval, He never did like it when you talked back.

“ Are you cheating on me? ”
That incredibly sudden accusation took you aback instantly. Was he fucking serious? You?Cheating on him? Thats what he thought was different?

“ I could ask you the same thing you know. ” Your tone was bitter as your voice became raised, it was clear how upset he’d gotten you by your change in attitude. Your brows stitch together in a painful mix of shock and anger, how could he accuse you of something so foul? It was enough to make your blood boil.

“ I would never do something as low and filthy as that.
He was glaring deeply at you with fire in his eyes now, Still outwardly calm; which aggravated you to no end. The atmosphere changed so fast. It was heavy and the tension was sharp.
Elizabeth the 3rd quickly scurried away into the bedroom upon feeling the mood change. She must not have wanted to be in the middle of this all. Good call.

“ So you’re implying that I would? ”
You were standing upright now. Nails gripping tightly into your arms; enough to make your skin irritated. The fiery pit in your stomach hurt, as if a rock was inside you. You didn’t like arguing with Jumin at all, but this was pretty inevitable.
He was quiet through clenched teeth. His knuckles were white, and his legs crossed. He still looked so composed as he waited your answer to his question.

“ No, i’m not cheating on you Jumin Han. There– Happy? Huh? ” He didn’t break eye contact and also didn’t say a word, the way he seemed so collected while you were so upset was aggravating.

“ Even though you’ve been living it up with you new little play toy i’ve been here, lonely! All day long! ” He scoffed slightly out of disbelief, Brows scrunched in confusion.

“ My play thing? You must be delusional. Am I not allowed to be interested in knowing someone now days? ”

“ You’re not when the person in question is just so.. so– So beautiful! And smart.. and, And kind! and.. Well– better than me and…”
Your voice fades from sheer anger to sadness in the end. The gravity of the situation hit you hard, hot tears streamed down your cheeks thinking about everything Eliza was that you weren’t. Maybe it would be better if he was with her.. She sure did match him way better than you ever could.

It was silent. It hurt, that he didn’t have anything to say to you. It only made you cry some more.

“ .. Are you jealous MC? ” He questioned after a few moments; gently and with pity in his voice, but you still hated those words. Mainly because it was true.

“ Yes– Okay!? I’m jealous, i’m so fucking jealous! I hate the fact that all you talk about is her anymore. ” You stopped to wipe tears away from your eyes with a sniffle before continuing.
“ I mean.. I don’t have schooling like she does; and I don’t look like your cat.. I’m not successful or own a business like her.. ”
You hung your head low as you avoided his gaze. It’s true, you weren’t even in comparison with her. Not even in the same ballpark.

He sighs heavily to let out his frustration after a few moments of the room being filled with your sobs, swiping a hand across his face roughly before looking up at you. He realized what you were getting at, and he felt like shit because of it. He was being too selfish in this situation. His heart strings pulled painfully at him seeing you brought to tears because of this.

“ Come here. ” It was gentle and soft, he didn’t sound angry or upset. Remorse was evident in his tone. His arms were open to you, eyes warmer than the cold ones you saw before.

God, that was it. That was all you needed right now. You didn’t care how sad you looked or how angry you just were. All you wanted was to be held by your husband, you’ve been wanting that for weeks now. Just.. Needing something. Anything. And this was it.
You burst into tears as you fall into his arms, curling tightly up in his lap as his white shirt was now stained with your tears. He pets his hand over the back of your head soothingly, holding you tight to his chest like a baby. You could hear his heartbeat, it was so steady and barely ever hitched while you two sat there together.

“ I truly didn’t know you felt that way…. I– Im so sorry.. ”
He sounded so sad.. You felt horrible for everything that’s happened. You should have talked about this sooner, instead of letting all the emotions fester.

“ I’m sorry for letting you think I was cheating.. You know i’d never–”
He interrupted you with a soft shush,
“ That was idiotic for me to say. I know you’d never.
He states quietly as he runs his thumb in circles on your back.
“ I’ll explain how you feel to Eliza as soon as tomorrow. ”
You nod softly, still feeling selfishness resonate inside you– But Jumin didn’t mind any of this. He felt terrible for purposely trying to make you jealous these past few weeks. Seeing how close you and Luciel had been getting. It was horrible, doing that all so you’d pay more attention to him. He really didn’t think about it before hand. He just was.. Well, Jealous. No idea that it would all backfire this badly.

” I don’t ever want you to ever feel like you’re not beautiful– Or smart, or successful. You’re My princess. You’re all that and more in my eyes, my love. ”

You cuddled deep into his chest, his words were soothing to you. This whole thing was so ridiculous, you’re so happy it’s finally over.

“ Just.. Can you introduce me to her? I’d like to formally meet the woman who looks like my husbands cat put into human form.”
He chuckled softly, causing you to laugh as well. The vibrations of his chest made your heart skip a beat as you smile.
“ Of course I will. I should have done it sooner. ”
notes: SHITT IM SO BAD AT WRITING ANGST AND I GOT SO LAZY AT THE END THERE HSKSHSJSH

You sighed and wondered what’s wrong with your friend. Over the past couple of days, Steve has been acting strange and distanced himself from everyone, limiting his responses with frowns and sighs. Dear Lukas,

“For years we’ve shared a friendship, one that does not often occur in life” – that’s how your letter for my farewell from the national team started back then in the Welt am Sonntag. And I wouldn’t know how better to start mine.

I still clearly remember the moment of my substitution in my final international game, and when I saw you sitting in the stands amongst my family, in the midst of those people who hold a special place in my life – and you are one of those people as well.

With your positive attitude, open-minded manner and not least your inimitable hammer of a left foot, you not only delighted me, but also the English, German and Turkish audiences equally. Therefore I have no doubt, that you will quickly turn the Japanese fans into Poldi-fans as well, as you’re now heading towards the Far East.

Goodbye, Poldi my friend. See you soon!

One-armed Bandit Tarot

*Slot Machine Spread*

The archetypical slot machine typically have three reels of symbols, but there’s nothing wrong with adding more reels (rows of cards) if you are so inclined and if it fits a particular reading you would want to do.

In this example, I will use 3 card reads, which literally could be anything that’s supposed to be read in a linear fashion (past, present, future - mind, body, spirit etc.)

You will need: A deck of cards, a coin or something similar (like a stone)  and at least one six-sided die.

With your, or your clients question in mind, shuffle the cards in your normal fashion. Cut the deck as normal, and deal out three rows of cards, each with six cards in them.

Offer a coin as a symbolic gesture. This could be a magical coin if you have that, or you could make one for this specific purpose, or if you like to do post-apocalyptic witchcraft, you could use a bottle cap, or any kind of stone or an object of symbolic value to you or your client would do.

Pull an imaginary lever. Roll the die one time for each row. Turn over the card corresponding with the number on the die. There you have your results.

You could variants on this if you would like. Like for instance, use more rows, as mentioned, or put more, or less, cards in each row, if you own polyhedric dice. You know, D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20. Or use a random number generator either online or on an app on your phone.

You could even turn all the cards over before rolling the dice and pretend you are allowed to step up or down a number of times in order to make a more favourable read.

Have fun!

Great. Alone on Valentine’s Day, you thought to yourself.

There was a knock at your door.

…Or not.

You opened it.

“Hey, I got you some chocolate.”

You stared at Lin for a few seconds before your gaze switched to the red, heart-shaped box he was holding in his mitten-clad hands.

“Oh, uh… thanks, Lin.”

He cleared his throat and bit his lip nervously. “I’m, uh, sorry for coming by so unexpectedly, I just…” His eyes glanced into the empty apartment behind you and stayed there. “…didn’t want you to be alone on Valentine’s Day.”

You raised your eyebrows, but gave him a smile in return. “Me neither,” you told him quietly. “Do you wanna…”

“Yeah,” he said quickly without letting you finish your thought. “I’d like that.”

You took the box from his hand and he followed you inside.
