Anneliese hummed to herself, folding her free arm so it draped on her side, cupping the top of her hip, the bone rubbing her palm. Sighing delicately, she looked over the selection of produce in the supermarket, scowling at the peaches. Grumbling, the lithe woman finally selected one that was acceptable, tossing her long hair over her shoulder. Stretching, Anneliese began to make her way to the checkout, jumping when a child knocked a can down. She’d felt somewhat uneasy lately, like someone always had an eye on her.
