Re Bucky sleeping on his back with his knees up. I have to do that when the arthritis is being bad... Ya know what helps makes it all better? When my not so giant pupster tunnels under my knees and pushes the pillow out and then flops there and saysl "I am helping you! I am a Helper Dog! I AM A GOOD PILLOW!". And she is a good helper dog pillow. It works for us because she is actually not a big dog (don't tell her) and I am short. Bucky has long legs though. Does Foobs do that for Bucko?

I HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS I LOVE THIS SO MUCH OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! FOOBS 1000000% DOES THAT (and now i really wish i had a big doggo to do that for me bc i have a bad back too lol)

Is Bucky the big or little spoon...or even possibly the knife

he’s the big or little spoon depending on his mood :3

he loves when nat is his big spoon tbh, bc she’s soft and strong and makes him feel safe and having her at his back is like the most familiar feeling in the world to him and it’s so comforting!!!!! (really though he equally loves it when he’s the big spoon and can wrap himself around her like an octopus and bury his face in the back of her neck and know exactly, solidly, where she is, bc we all know how protective comics!bucky is of nat * * also u know she’s just very snugglable) (nat also tends to like to stretch her three beefy dudes out on their backs or bellies and lie flat on top of them like a friggin lizard bc they’re Warm)

with steve he likes to lie with his head on steve’s chest and his arm across his ribs A. because #TITTIES, and B. because that strong and familiar heart beat is reassuring and soothing and kind of hypnotic in a good way

with sam he likes to be the big spoon like 90% of the time because it makes it easier for him to whisper in sam’s ear and sweet talk him and wax poetic about how incredible sam is and how much bucky loves him and how good he wants to make sam feel and how buck would bring sam the moon if he wanted it make wise cracks

but also real talk sometimes buck is The Spatula in that he has 100% been known to eject his partner out of bed during night terrors but they’re all used to it and have calming Bucky down to a science, especially with Foobs always near by!

HC--Bucky loves his hair stroked, like he's a big cat. Loves to be touched gently and tenderly.

yes yes YES YES YES!!!!! YESSSS peak relaxation for buck is lying on his back with foobs on his chest and his head in someone’s lap with their hands in his hair!

also one day with sam this devolves into “how many pigtails can we get in bucky’s hair?”

Hello Fai! I'm curious about your opinion on ask blogs-- Do you feel that running ask-fubar has/had helped you improve your art skills?

Definitely yes! I actually started my ask-fubar blog on a whim, and I’m sooo glad I did. I think I improved a lot through that blog, especially in certain areas.

I think the main aspect that I improved upon was speed. Followers don’t want an ask blog that updates once in a blue moon. They want regular updates, which means I had to be able to churn answers out pretty fast at a regular pace. I’m the type to not be very self-motivated - I need some kind of incentive, and the ask blog was perfect for constantly providing some sort of inspiration and requiring me to act upon it! I think speed is actually a very important skill to have, because the more speed you have, the more you can draw, and the more you draw, the more you’ll improve. Aside from just how fast I draw, I figured out how to effectively use shortcuts and techniques to reduce busy work, and learned how to pace myself.

Another aspect of my art that really benefited from the ask blog was the ability to tell a story… basically, I learned how to make more comic-like drawings. There will be many ask blogs for the same character, and many of the same types of questions will come in, so I felt that it was important to make my answers unique. It was a great creative exercise in first brainstorming an idea, planning it out and then realizing it. Comics are hard to do and it’s easy to lose motivation in the middle of doing it, but the ask blog provided enough fun and obligation to keep me going. Also, comics might require you to draw poses/expressions that you might not have considered drawing otherwise, so of course it’s more great practice.

This got pretty long, but the gist is that doing an ask blog will require you to draw more, and it will be worth it because it is also very rewarding - I can only speak from my experience, but my followers were really great and fun to interact with in character. More importantly, the SNK ask blog community was amazingly supportive and interactive. Whenever new ask blogs cropped up, everyone would step up and promote them to give them exposure or drop a few asks in their box just to get them going. It was a great time, and I met a lot of amazing people through it!

A word of caution - the only thing that should hold you back from doing an ask blog is if you’re really busy. It takes commitment! Which is why I haven’t been able to keep up with ask fubar and put it on hiatus. If you love a fandom and are willing to choose a character(s) and pick up a pen to draw some responses, then go for it.

neither of them can stand the heat very well after all that time in russia, but they'll go to the ice rink and just spend the whole day there and hold hands going around the rink. Foob tries to go out on the ice once and can hardly stand up but he's a good boy and wants to try to be there for his guy but he's got that little nervous 'wuf....wuf?....wuf' thing going on

OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SO MUCH??? and every lap around the rink Buck and Nat stop by to say hi to Foobs and Nat smooches him on the nose every time and he’s a Happy Doggo even tho he’s further from Buck than he’d like to be and JSKEKRKRJFKFK I just LOVEEEEE the concept of Buckynat doing Soft Normal Things like going on an ice skating date :*
