as you can tell i was bored while

the princess stayed in the tower and read books about better girls, where their hands learned how to hold swords, where they rode in on horses. i gave her books as often as i could. she devoured them.

her princes saw her and pretended to be scared off by dragons. got too lost in the thicket. didn’t want to handle it.

“tell me what it’s like, out there,” she whispers to me for the millionth time. i take her from The Throne into her bed, tucking her in and making sure her feet are covered.

“boring without you” i say as always, “but i did bring back a great story.”

i tell her about how the stars change beyond the equator. how there are places it looks like there are twin suns. how the desert crawls into you but so does snow. i talk about the taste of fruit and promise to bring her back some. she falls asleep while i murmur about rivers, and then in the morning i bring her from bed to Throne, even though she can do it on her own. sometimes she likes help, is all, and i’m happy to give it.

she doesn’t want help getting dressed. the men come for me, blindfold masters i have almost befriended. the path we take away from her is always different, carefully manufactured so i don’t know exactly where she’s located. after all, a lady might get ideas about things.

they let me go in the queen’s room. i report findings, ask for fruit in the next week’s supplies, am told not to spoil the princess, that she must be kind and waifish and wanting when the prince comes. i spend an hour suggesting that fruit might turn the blood sweeter and am allowed six oranges.

in the next week, she marvels over them. turns them in her calloused hands. smells them. holds them until she can’t control her curiosity, devours them. i bring her books about rivers. i bring her books about deserts.

“when is our birthday?” she asks me tonight. i’m knitting her a scarf for it.

“soon,” i tell her, “i’ll come by.”

she rolls onto one side, looks up at me in the dimming light. “I’m glad they chose you to be mine,” she says, and i drop a stitch. my heart sings against the inside of my wrists. i blow out a candle so she can’t see the blush and i can’t see her lips. i know what she means, i say. i know what she means.

it’s twenty-three for both of us. i bring her a cake we both eat, her on her throne and me on the floor. i am in the middle of laughing when she falls silent in the still night. “nobody else ever comes for me,” she whispers. i say nothing.

we have more cake, we go to sleep. i don’t know if she knows i’m awake, but i hear her crying.

the men come, the men take me. the one that smells like cedar always laughs at my jokes. the queen half-hates me because i remind her of “that nasty thing” they forced on their daughter.

“the left wheel needs oil,” i mention, “she’s having trouble turning again.”

the queen’s nose goes up. she never reacts when i mention her daughter’s wheelchair by name - doesn’t find it funny we call it a throne, thinks it’s well enough to leave alone.

“well, she’ll have a prince in this next month coming for her,” says the queen, “i’ve arranged it all,” says the queen, “he’s … had the situation explained to him first this time. i thought it would be best,” says the queen. “we’re paying him…. quite a lot for his effort,” says the queen.

situation. she means that her daughter can’t walk very far. she means the situation of towers. i excuse myself. i find my girl books about turning down marriage. i’m not sure why. it’s all she’s ever wanted.

they blindfold me and take me. cedar laughs at my jokes. the sawdust one is here this time, even he chuckles at a few. we ride horses through places i’ll never see clearly.

“so according to the queen this is the last time i’m needed, huh?” i ask them as they walk me blindly up too many stairs for my girl to make it down, “i’m sorry i never made your acquaintance.”

cedar laughs. he takes off my blindfold and for a second, lets me see his face. “it’s been an honor,” he says, shaking my hand, “you’ve been a perfect lady.”

i spend the day with my princess pretending i am not peeling apart from my bones. i just want her to be happy. to get to come home.

it’s late. “do you think in a past life i was a mermaid?” she asks.

“almost definitely,” i tell her.

it’s quiet for a while after. “what if,” she whispers, “i don’t want to leave?”

i sit up and look at her from across the room.

“it’s just,” she says, “i have you here and all the books i need and nobody makes me walk too long and i don’t feel like… like i’m wrong here.”

i want to tell her she’s never been wrong. that she’s always fit into my heart like a puzzle piece. that, more importantly, the leadership i see in her glows like a fire - that, no matter her body, she’s always been kind and gentle and smart and sweet. a princess that could bring a nation to her feet and do so lovingly.

“it will be okay,” i say, “there’s more fruit to discover.”

she doesn’t say anything. i think i’ve ruined something by accident, but i don’t know what. i don’t really sleep. i don’t say anything when the men come take me.

the world outside without her is boring. no mermaids. i put my hand in a river once a day, just thinking about her.

two weeks later i am awoken by my name, and a voice i recognize perfectly. cedar stands above me in the darkness. “i know two things in this world,” he says to me, “and one of them is about love.”

this time we make the trip without blindfolds. i see the squalor they keep her in. i see the waste surrounding her castle, the terrible place she’s in. rage fuels my footsteps even when they start flagging.

the prince is already there. he has dropped her twice, cedar tells me. i am already running up the stairs even though i can barely breathe. i hear her crying through the door and i don’t need to get ready - the fire that starts in me burns so brightly.

i roar inside. turn dragon and beat back prince with girl made rage. the bruises on her body turn me into giant snake. i eat the man alive, or at least i chase him from the place, never to be seen again. later i will hear a rumor about a demon that stole the princess from him.

she cries into my arms. i take her down every single stair. i hear her murmur her thanks into my hair and then i kiss her, because i can’t handle it, because i have places to show her and she has my heart to lead.

my house isn’t much but it’s near a river. she likes putting her hands into it. i take her places when she is able, and otherwise i bring the places back. we read books together. cedar no longer works for the queen, but he’d rather live with the man of sawdust making tiny wooden figurines.

i lie in bed next to her, stroking her soft hair. “do you think i was a centaur in a past life?” she asks.

“definitely,” i tell her, and kiss her, gently. she holds my face and pulls herself closer to me.

“will i be a good queen? i mean, in this life?”

“i’m certain of it,” i reply. i can hear the truth ring in it. the bone-deep certainty.

she’s quiet for a moment. “you saved me,” she whispers, “and usually we’d end up married. but…”

i don’t know how to answer that. i feel ice down my spine suddenly.

“i’m not demanding, is all,” her voice shakes, “i’m asking this time. for you to choose me. for me to be yours, i mean. and for you to be mine. permanently.”

the next birthday we celebrate, we are both queens.

a post on some shit i’ve seen

“I have a male character, but they’re very feminine so I think they might be a trans woman.”

This is not how being trans works. Being gender non-conforming =/= trans. Here is a list of reasons why this is sexist and transphobic.

  • It implies that men and women must behave a certain way and that anyone who does not adhere to these gender roles must be a different gender.
  • It implies that gender non-conforming trans people do not exist.
  • It negates sex dyshoria.
  • It enforces gender roles.
  • It enforces stereotypes and misconceptions trans people have been fighting against for a long time.

Your male character can be feminine without being trans. They are still a man.

“It’s offensive to describe trans people as being ‘born in the wrong body’.”

No, it’s not.

This is a narrative that many trans people use because it is an easy and succinct way to describe sex dysphoria. Dysphoria is more complicated than this, but this narrative is not offensive.

Stop silencing dysphoric people. Your character can describe themselves like this if they so choose to.

“I have a male character, but I picture him as having little body hair and wide hips, so I think I might make him a trans man–”

This is offensive. If you make a character trans because they posses physical characteristics that are seen as “undesirable” or “not typical” on people of their sex, then you are sexist and transphobic.

Cis men can have wide hips and little body hair. Trans men can have narrow hips and a strong jaw. Cis women can have lots of body hair and a deep voice. Trans women can be short and curvy.

“My character is androgynous and it’s difficult to tell their gender so I’m making them non binary.”

Okay…

  • By claiming that non binary people are always androgynous appearing, you are creating a new set of gender roles and expectations while simultaneously doing everything in the first thing I talked about.
  • “Non binary” and “gender non-conforming” are not synonyms, but this doesn’t mean non binary people can’t be/aren’t gender non-conforming.

“Cis people are boring so my characters are all trans.”

This is the wrong mindset when talking about representation for trans people and when writing trans characters. When you equate “cis” to “boring” and “trans” to “cool” and “interesting,”, you are fetishizing and dehumanizing trans people.

We are not trendy accessories that will make your story better simply by being there.

BTW, boring trans people exist. Because, you know, we’re people and not this year’s most popular Christmas gift.

“Reveal that your character is trans by showing their scars/body.”

Allies and transphobes alike have a fascination with the bodies of trans people. It has gotten to the point where “allies” spread private information about the medical lives of trans people to the general public. This has turned into a “how to spot a trans person” game.

Your characters do not need to be half-naked to show that they are trans.

“Dysphoria is self-loathing and can end up bringing too much angst to your story.”

Dysphoria is not self-loathing. This is a huge misconception. Dysphoria is a disconnect between someone’s brain and their physical sex.

When people experience sex dysphoria, their sex characteristics feel foreign. It is not simply “hating your body.” That narrative should not be used in fiction. Ever. It is false. Body positive feminists (both lib and rad) use it to vilify sex dysphoric people.

Do not ignore dysphoria. A lot of people don’t know what it actually is and confuse it for internalized misogyny. Dysphoria needs to be a part of fiction featuring trans characters so that we can work to end the misconceptions about it.

Also, do not “cure” your character’s dypshoria with love or romance or sex or self-acceptance. That’s not how it works.

Fuel to Fire (intro)

Stucky x reader

Notes: fluff, tattooing, some angst, smut (m/m and m/m/f)

Summary: Living their dream, Bucky and Steve run their tattoo shop ‘American Ink’ together, happily married for several years and business is going well. When a girl walks into their shop and inevitably into their lives right after they’ve received some exciting news, they have no idea how their lives are about to change with some harmless but straight-forward flirting.

A/N: This is the introduction to the tattoo-shop AU, a Stucky x reader story that could be compared to my earlier series: Savages. I have no idea where this is going or how long it’s gonna be. I’m just gonna see where it takes me.

“Buck-.. you think we’re gettin’ boring?” Steve muses, his arms behind his head, relaxing against his pillow as he stares up at the ceiling.

“Jesus fuckin’ Christ, Steve” Bucky groans, popping up somewhere below Steve’s belt, pushing his hair away from his eyes. “m’Tryin’ to suck your dick here, you mind?”

“I don’t, actually” Steve grins. “I was just thinkin’”

“Yeah. I know” Bucky shuts him up, pinching his husband’s side, earning a yelp in turn. “Stop it and let me suck your pretty cock”

“Baby, c’mon, hold on a minute, okay?” Steve pleads, putting on his best pouting face and big blue eyes.

Bucky groans, rolls off his husband, “Okay, okay. Stop with the eyes already. What’s on your mind?”

blue orchids short story

pairing: jungkook | reader
genre: too much fluff.. too much cute
word count: 3.986
author’s note: surprise! \o/ I honestly have no idea how or why this happened. yesterday I just… started writing, and here we are, a few thousand words later. also, bear in mind that this is a sequel to blue orchids, so you need to read that one first if you want to understand this short piece. hope you all enjoy!

This story is set six years into the future within Blue Orchids’ universe.

The sun rays are melting on your skin. It has been a while since the skies opened up like this, leaving the sun bare to the living, its warmth a pleasant gift after days of storm and gloom. The sand under your legs and feet is, fortunately, not scorching — not yet, at least. The early morning is still warming up to the pristine sun, and the salty winds of the beach are still a strange mixture of the growing heatwave and the remnants of past iciness.

You cannot remember the last time you visited the beach, but it does not feel foreign or uncomfortable. It feels like you belong, mind at peace and body molding to the sand as your extended legs allow your toes to brush against the gentle waves that break and ebb away, water still too chilly to enjoy at its fullest.

Genre: Smut, Angst (oh boy), fluff

Pairing: You x Jungkook

Word count: 5k

Warnings: Smut, mentions of drinking

You’ve had so many dirty dreams about Jungkook already. So many dreams that felt so real. That’s why when you reached over and touched his arm, you almost fell off of the bed.

You jumped up, dragging the sheet with you to wrap around your very naked body. It was as if he was a complete stranger you woke up next to by the way you backed up and away from the bed. It was worse than that.

It was your best friend.

__________________________________________________

It was a Saturday afternoon on a rainy day when everything happened, when you gain your boyfriend’s older brothers’ respect. And also embarrassed them more than they ever been embarrassed in their lives.

Dick, Jason, Tim and you were spending some times altogether, getting to know each other, as in five years of relationship with Tim, you never really had time to hang out with his family (busy people).

Bruce was at work, Alfred had a day off, and Damian was hanging out with some friends (which was so rare that no one dared to tell him to stay to spent the day with you guys).

-No Jason, we  are NOT playing strip poker right now.

-But I’m bored and a movie is…

-I said we’re not !

-Why nooooowwwt ?

-Because it’s only you, Dick, (Y/N) and I, I don’t need to see my brothers naked.

-And (Y/N) ?

-We’ve been together for five years, what, you think I never saw her naked ?

-I never saw her naked.

-Good.

Jason gives his brother an infuriating smile and, taking some soda cans while Tim takes a giant bowl of pop-corns, they go back to the living room where you and Dick are waiting.

zapdos007  asked:

"But what if she doesn't like the real me"

“But what if she doesn’t like the real me?” Queen Bee asked, looking at the view from Marinette’s balcony. There was a nervous shake to her voice, one that revealed how scared of rejection she really was.

Marinette put a hand over hers and gave her a meaningful look. “If she’s anything like the person you’ve showed me, then there is no way she won’t like you. You’re a great person, Bee, and even if you haven’t always been nice, well… people grow and change, you know? It’ll be alright.” She gave the heroine a reassuring smile before clapping her on the back. “Now get outta here and prepare to talk your mystery lady into forgiving you,” she said with a wink.

“Yeah… yeah! I’ve totally got this!” Bee exclaimed, jumping to her feet. She waved Marinette goodbye and flew off.

“I do not totally have this,” Chloe whispered, her hand held out to knock on the door of a certain baker’s daughter’s residence. She closed her eyes and leaned forward, gently banging her head on the door. “Ugh, she’s never going to like me back.” Another thump against the door. “Even though she said that to Bee, she didn’t know it was me talking about her.” Thump. “Why.” Thump. “Did I.” Thump. “Decide.” Thump. “To do this?” Thump, thump, thump. “God, she’s going to hate meeeehi,MadameDupain-Cheng!” she squeaked when the door suddenly opened. Marinette’s mother stood before her with a kind smile.

“Hello, dear, are you here to see Marinette?” she asked in an equally kind way.

“I, uh, that is-”

“Oh, don’t worry. I’ll call her down for you. Come in, come in, she’ll be down in a minute,” Sabine told her, ushering her inside. Before heading up the stairs, she gave Chloe a knowing look, which only made Chloe more nervous.

She stood at the bottom of the steps for some time, heart jumping at ever sound that came from the rooms above her. She almost reached for the door to leave when she heard a shout of, “I’m coming!” and a loud crash. It was only a few seconds after that that Marinette slid to the top of the steps and climbed down them, only stopping when Chloe was directly in front of her.

Neither of them said anything, and while Marinette’s eyes bore into Chloe, Chloe’s looked anywhere but at her.

Finally, Marinette spoke. “Can I help you with something, or…?”

“No! I mean, yes! I mean, kind of? Look, I just wanted to say that I’m.” She swallowed down the lump that threatened to form in her throat “I’m sorry. F-for the stuff I’ve done to you. I don’t have any good excuses for what I did, and I don’t expect you to forgive me, but I just. Needed to tell you.” When Marinette didn’t say anything, she slumped in defeat. “Right. I’ll go now, s-”

Her words were cut off by Marinette throwing her arms around her. She froze in place, not even daring to breathe in case it broke the magic of the moment. Unfortunately for her, Marinette moved away anyways (and all too soon, if Chloe were honest with herself).

“I forgive you,” she said brightly, beaming at Chloe.

“You… you do?” she asked, awe in her voice and expression.

“Sure. You seem sincere enough, and I think this is like… the first time you’ve ever actually said sorry to someone. You didn’t make any excuses and you didn’t try to place the blame elsewhere. That’s really admirable. So, I forgive you.”

“Thank you,” Chloe breathed, sighing in relief. “I think I should, um, go now? But maybe in school we could start. Talking. And helping with makeup. And things.”

“That sounds lovely,” Marinette agreed. She waved goodbye when Chloe did, and just before the door closed behind her, Marinette called out, “Oh, and Chloe!” Chloe turned to listen. “I want you to know that I meant it when I told you you were a great person.”

Chloe smiled. “Thanks, Marinette.” The door closed, and only when she was halfway home did she realized that Marinette hadn’t said anything about her being great during their conversation. She did, however, tell Bee that she was great.

Her limo was filled with a shriek and a plea for the driver to bring her back to the Dupain-Cheng’s.

Tom Holland Imagine: Jealous

Summary: tom is jealous of how close you are with Josh while you’re on tour with twenty one pilots

A/N: josh and Tyler are literally my loves so if anyone gives me crap about them I will personally come for you. This also fucking sucks so I’m sorry

————————————————

“Y/N! We’re going bowling! Wanna come with us?” Josh called from the door.

“Yeah! Just let me get my shoes!” I called back.

I grabbed my tennis shoes and then was out the door. Josh, Tyler and Jenna were all waiting for me by the car when I reached them.

“Hey, kiddo. You ready to go?”

I nodded and climbed in next to Josh in the back seat. Josh yawned and laid his head in my lap as Tyler pulled out of the venue. I began to run my fingers through Josh’s bright yellow hair as Tyler told us a story about a past experience he had with bowling that ended with him being tossed out and banned from the bowling place in Columbus. I looked down when I felt Josh laugh and smiled at him.

“So, Y/N. How are things with Tom?” Josh asked once Tyler finished his story.

“Yeah! How is he? He still a knight in shinning armor?” Jenna asked.

I smiled and looked out the window at the mention of Tom’s name.

“He’s great. He’s super busy with Spider-Man and everything though so I haven’t been able to talk to him much.”

“I’m sorry, Y/N. I’m sure he’ll call the second he has a chance, though.”

I smiled at Jenna before I turned my gaze back towards the buildings we were passing. Tyler and Jenna began to tell more stories as I felt Josh watching me. I knew he wanted to talk about Tom, but I just wasn’t up for it. After a few minutes pass, we finally pull up to the bowling alley. Tyler made us all sit still for a moment while their manager called him about details for tonight. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and pulled it out to see Tom was trying to FaceTime me.

“Hey, Tom!” I said as I answered the call.

“Hey, Y/N. it’s Harrison actually as you can see. Tom’s doing an interview and I was bored and my phone died. So I decided to use his and talk to you.”

“Oh, hey Haz. That’s cool. How’s the press tour going?”

“Good. Tom’s exhausted though. What’re you up to?”

“I’m with Tyler, Josh and Jenna. We’re going bowling. Say hi, Josh!”

I turned the camera to show Josh laying in my lap. Josh made a funny face before we both started laughing.

“Oh, hey Josh. Well, I gotta go, Y/N. Tom’s almost done…”

“Oh. Okay. Bye, Haz.”

“Bye, Y/N.”

I felt my heart drop as the screen went black. I was hoping to at least see Tom’s face or hear his voice.

“Ready to go, Y/N?” Tyler asked.

I nodded and tried to ignore their sympathetic looks as we walked into the building.

————–

By the time we were done bowling, all thoughts of Tom had left my mind. Tyler and Josh tried to keep my laughing at all seconds which ended with us getting kicked out. Not really a surprise though since at one point Josh literally ran down the alley and knocked some other kid’s ball in the gutter.

On the way back to the venue, I posted a picture of me sitting on Josh’s lap and Tyler and Jenna standing behind us making funny faces. I knew the picture would make the fans laugh.

When we arrived back at the venue, I ran to get ready for my set.

Josh and Tyler high fived me as I walked onto the stage.

The crowd went insane as I sang my heart out and Josh drummed in the back. Since my drummer was sick, Josh was filling in for the night. After I finished, Josh came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek. The crowd went insane as we walked off the stage with Josh’s arm around me.

“Alright guys. Good luck! I’m beat so I’m gonna head back to the hotel.”

Tyler and Josh said goodnight to me and then I was on my way to the hotel.

As soon as I closed the door behind me, I felt my phone begin to vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out to see Tom trying to call me. It was probably Harrison again, though.

“Harrison? Is this you again?”

“What the fuck, Y/N!?” I heard Tom’s voice yell.

“Woah, calm down. What’s wrong?”

“Don’t give me that shit! What is going on between you and Josh!?”

“Me and Josh!? What are you talking about!?”

“Harrison told me he was laying in your lap, and then the picture and then him kissing you tonight!? Is there something you would like to tell me!?”

“Tom you need to calm down! There is nothing going on between me and Josh! He is like my brother! And like you would even care! It’s been like 2 weeks since I’ve talked to you!”

I heard Tom sigh on the other side of the phone.

“I know, love. I’m sorry. I’ve just been so busy I barely have time to breathe. And I’ve never stopped thinking about you and I just wanna see you so bad but I knew I couldn’t ask that of you when you’re on your dream tour and then when Harrison told me about Josh laying on your lap and then you posted the picture of you in his lap and then the kiss tonight, I just snapped. I’m so sorry, love.”

“I love Josh, but as a friend. I’m IN love with you, Tom. I haven’t stopped thinking of you either. I miss you so much.”

“Good. Cause I’m standing outside your hotel room.”

“What?”

“I have tomorrow off. And I just need to be with you. Come let me in, love.”

I hung up the phone and ran over to the door. I opened the door to see my beautiful boyfriend standing on the other side smiling at me. I jumped into his arms and nuzzled my face into his neck. Tom wrapped his arms around my waist before picking my up and carrying me into the hotel room. Tom laid me down on the bed before pressing his lips against mine and sliding his hands up and down my sides. I moaned into kiss and Tom smirked. I knew I was in for one hell of a night.

————

“Well, this is a surprise.” Jenna said as her and Tyler walked down to breakfast the next morning.

I smiled and laid my head on Tom’s shoulder.

“I have the day off so I decided to visit my beautiful girlfriend.” Tom said as he kissed my forehead.

But the beautiful moment was soon cut short once Josh came into the room.

I rubbed Tom’s shoulder to calm him down as he death glared Josh.

“Tom, please behave.” I whispered into his ear.

“Well, Josh. Seems like your plan worked.” Tyler said to him.

“Wait, hold on, what plan?” I asked.

“Well, Josh noticed how upset you were about Tom being so busy so he decided to MAKE Tom have time for you…” Jenna said as she stirred her coffee.

“What do you mean?”

“He was ummm… kinda going above and beyond to seem flirty with you to piss Tom off…”

“WHAT!?”

“I’m sorry, Y/n! I really am, but you were just so sad and I knew he would call if he thought he was losing you! And it worked didn’t it!?” Josh said.

“I’m gonna kill you, Dun.”

Josh’s eyes went wide as I began to chase him through the hotel.

“That’s my girl.” Tom laughed as he watched me chase Josh up and down the halls.

I cherish Solas romancers, because it’s like—imagine you get to go on a dating show. You’re sitting in the hot seat and—assuming you make a female Lavellan—you have six contestants you can choose from. Not three like on normal dating shows; you get six

Now, let’s say you ask these contestants your first question. Say, you ask them to describe their ideal date.

  • Contestant #1 talks about how they like pulling pranks, and afterwards, they’ll take you to a rooftop to eat cookies.
  • Contestant #2 is a hopeless romantic who wants to snuggle by the fire and have you spin them around in the air.
  • Contestant #3 has had a more troubled past, but they adore you—and anything you want to do, they are game for; they are submissive and ready to serve.
  • Contestant #4 is anything but submissive, they counter; their ideal date is all about danger: dragon-hunting and deadly sport.
  • Contestant #5 seems the intellectual; they want to play chess with you, all the while marvelling that someone as amazing as you wants to spend time with them.
  • Then there’s Contestant #6, who answers that they’ll tell you all about the boring dreams they had, insult your tattoos, touch your butt, and then dump you. That is their ideal date.

“That one,” the Solasmancer says. “I want that one.”

My dear lgbt+ kids,

In this letter, I want to talk about break-ups.

While many things you find in general resources for people going through a break-up or trying to decide if they should break up apply to everyone, many tend to center heavily around cishet relationships*. But there are some things that can be different in your relationships. That’s why I’ll skip the more general advice and focus on the more lgbt+-specific concerns.

After a break-up:

- You may worry, especially if this was your first relationship, that the fact it didn’t work out means your identity is fake. (”It didn’t work out with a girl, so maybe that’s a sign I’m not a real lesbian”). These concerns are understandable but do not drive yourself crazy and don’t judge yourself too harshly. All it means is that this one relationship didn’t work out! It doesn’t say anything about the validness of your feelings or the quality of lgbt+ relationships in general. Lots of cishet relationships fail and we do not take that as a sign that “it was just a phase”, either!

- You don’t always need to break up  with your partner after your labels changed/you came to terms with your identity. The only golden rules in such cases are “do what feels right for you” and “communication is key."

 - That being said, if your partner breaks up with you after your labels changed (for example, after you told them you feel more comfortable with they/them), that’s not your fault. Please don’t feel guilty or like a bad person. You deserve a partner who respects and loves you as the person you truly are and your ex wasn’t that partner. You deserve better!

 - You may feel unlovable, too complicated, too weird to find love after a break-up. Please don’t listen to those thoughts. You are very lovable and there are many people who think you’re perfect.

 - Your worth is not measured by your relationship status. The validness of your label is not measured by your relationship status.

 - Lgbt+ relationships can be abusive, just like cishet ones. If your partner pressured you into sex, hurt you physically in any way, emotionally manipulated you, tried to control your every move.. Yes, that was abuse. No, it was not all in your head. No, it was not your fault. Yes, you had every right to leave. Yes, you deserve to get help and comfort.

Trying to decide if you should break up:

 - If your partner is currently doing any of those abusive things (see above) and you wonder if you should break up: Yes. This is not normal. It’s not part of a healthy relationship. This is especially important to point out when it comes to sexual abuse: If your partner uses your identity to make you afraid to say no to sex, that’s abuse. Just because you are attracted to men doesn’t mean you need to always say yes to sex with your boyfriend. Just because you’re asexual doesn’t mean you need to "make up” for it. If that happens, please get out of the relationship.

- If your relationship is not abusive but you simply do not “feel the spark” anymore, should you stay or should you go? That’s nothing I can tell you. It really depends on the individual situation. Some things to consider:
Most relationships don’t stay the same forever. The first excitement fades away after a while and routine creeps in. If you feel like you still love your partner but things just start to get boring, you may want try to re-ignite the flame: Try to have more dates, do more things together, have calls more often, cuddle more.. Whatever it is that makes you feel excited and close, try to do more of that. It’s a good idea to tell your partner that you would like to do (this thing) more often because it makes you feel close. Open, calm communication (rather than a accusatory “we never do that anymore”) is very important.

- If, however, you do not love your partner anymore or the thought of spending more time with them is more annoying than exciting - it’s fair to end things. You may feel like it’s mean to break up but in the long term, it’s meaner to fake love that you do not feel anymore. Telling them it’s over will hurt them, of course, but if you stay without loving them, resentment will build up and they will pick up on that which will hurt them even more. A break-up will give both of you the chance to be happier in the long run.

 - If you love your partner but feel like you don’t really trust in that love, consider that internalized homophobia is a thing. You may want to read this personal story

I hope this helps! <3

With all my love,

Your Tumblr Mom

* In this context, cishet describes relationships between a man and a woman who are both cis, hetero and not asexual.

So he does loads of cute and silly things to make their relationship fun and fresh like it used to be. I hope this makes sense and you like the idea 😋😋

I’ll clean it up nicely later but for now I really want to work on other project

Pretty sure that’s how the Shallura reunion will go

Westerberg Team Building Exercise
  • Therapist: Okay, people. The best way to understand a classmate, or a co-worker, is by "stepping" into their shoes.
  • Heather C: But I'm a dainty size three and Heather McNamara has the feet of a Sasquatch!
  • Heather M: He means we act like someone else to see their point of view. For example, I'll be you. *snaps* "Mint me, Candy Girl! Even though you're busy, forget the other customers, 'cause I'm more important! Haha, YAY ME!"
  • Heather C: (as Heather M) "Sorry, Heather. I can't right now because I have to tell you a really boring story about one of my weird relatives. Do me a favor and pretend to listen, would you? While I go on and on and on wearing my REALLY UGLY CLOTHES!!!"
  • Heather D: (as Heather M) "Oh and let's not forget: Now that I'm back from saving the penguins, I want everyone to drop what they're doing and do it the way that I want it!"
  • Martha: (as Heather D) "And I'm Heather Duke! I'm gonna make you do what I say 'cause I'm tough and can crush you like a grape!" *Heather D glares* I was talking about another Heather Duke....
  • Heather D: Uh huh.
  • Veronica: Oh, I'll do Miss Flemming! (as Miss Flemming) "Well... *messes with hair* I suppoooose I could get you to finish dinner in time to see Veronica Sawyer's show, but that would mean working haaaard...."
  • JD: *stands up excitedly* "Coach Ripper! Coach Ripper! Can I take this thing that's working perfectly well and do some convoluted thing to it until it breaks?!" *giggles*
  • Veronica: JD, I don't think you're supposed to do yourself.
  • JD: Oh, I thought I was being Kurt..... *sits down*
  • Coach Ripper: No, no, no. Kurt's more like this, "OHHHH COACH RIPPERRRRR! OH CAN I HAVE THE DAY OFF 'CAUSE MY CHIIIICKEN HAD CHIIIICKEN POX! DID I MENTION THE FACT THAT I HAVE A CHIIIICKEN?!?!" *Kurt stands angrily*
  • Kurt: (as Coach Ripper) "Ohhhhh, very wellllll...... GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! You do that while I just sit in my office talking to my MOMMMY!"
  • *everyone starts fighting*

You almost fell asleep once again in his arms until the driver announced that you were five minutes away.

“Good morning Doctor Lu, is everything okay?” Namjoon asked her.

“We hope so. I just got the test results back.” She flipped through some papers and circled a few words. “You’re not pregnant Mrs. Kim but these tests show signs of a serious issue.”

“How serious?” Namjoon questioned.

Boyfriend-Bestfriend

Peter Parker x Reader

Warnings: angst? not really ish

You watched as girls from your school enter the building.

As soon as everybody found out that Peter Parker was really Spider-Man, the whole school flipped. Especially, the girls. They walked in the building, eyes wandering, searching for Pete.

Peter happened to be your classmate, and coworker. Maybe even your crush. But he was also your best friend.

Tony threw another party, just because he was bored. You know, like usual.

And it was an ‘anyone is welcome’ kind of thing. Explains why every girl in your class was here.

You can tell they’ve never been to a party like this before. They dressed like it was prom. Like seriously, what’s with the gowns and poofy dresses?

You stood near the bar, asking the bartender to give you something to drink while you wait for Peter.

“You know you’re not old enough (Y/n).”

“I didn’t say to give me something with alcohol. Can you just give me something non-alcoholic? Please?”

“Alright,” he smiles, “one juice box it is.”

You gave him a scowl, making him chuckle.

You turn back around, eyes searching the room for Peter. You hear a familiar laugh and turn to your right. Peter was standing there with Liz Allen, and her group of friends. Peter promised you that right after he gets ready, he’ll meet up with you immediately, knowing how you hated being alone in parties, and because he was always your date. Those are the perks of having a best friend. If you’re single, you would still have a date at any party.

You waited. Maybe he just got here and he was on the way to meet up with you. Liz probably just stopped him to talk, say hi.

You watched, and watched, and watched.

He was still there. Liz was getting a bit flirty with him already. You heard once in P.E. that Liz had a major crush on Spider-Man, and this was before she knew it was Peter.

Twenty one grape juice boxes later, Peter was still laughing it off with Liz. It wasn’t like he didn’t notice you. He did. It was twenty minutes ago. He looked at you, smile and nod, then started talking to Liz. You thought he finally saw you and was telling Liz that he has to go. Guess not.

This got you pissed, but mostly upset. Peter wasn’t one to break promises.

You tried to leave without him noticing. That won’t be too hard. He’s been ignoring you for the past hour or so.

They were standing by the hallway that lead to the elevators. You got up from the bar stool, flattened your dress, and walk straight passed Peter.

At first it broke your heart when you walked straight passed him with him not even flinching. But when you got to the elevator, sadness wasn’t within you. Anger was.

You slam your fist into the elevator button. Since it seemed like it wasn’t going to open any time soon.

“Don’t hit it, just press it, gently,” you heard, the voice sounding familiar.

“Shut up Loki.” Loki shrugged and walked away, it’s still strange to see him free, and socializing. He wasn’t like the old Loki. Well, you still thought different. It’s all an act. He’ll turn on us soon.

The elevator finally opened, in which felt like years.

You got in and pressed the button for your level. You were humming to yourself, trying to act calm, even if your nails are digging into your palms.

The doors of the elevator was about to close but someone’s hand stopped it.

You looked up surprised, but your face fell when you saw it was Peter.

“(Y/n)! Leaving so soon?”

You gave him an ‘I’m mad at you, go away before I murder you’ look, “yes.”

His eyebrows furrowed, “what’s wrong?”

You roll your eyes, “nothing, can you please go? You’re keeping the elevator from going up.”

He looks around the elevator door, and takes his hand off of the side, stepping in.

You groaned as he stands next to you.

“Seriously (Y/n). What’s up?”

You keep your head straight, away from his gaze. You punch the number of your floor.

“Hey hey hey, press it gently.”

You stay quiet, still clenching your fists.

“Well anyways,” he says, he was smiling, you can tell he was very happy, quite the opposite of you.

“Liz hung out with me today.”

You turn to him, his face beaming, and replied with a tight smile, “I know, I saw.”

“Really?! Did I look okay? I felt like I was smiling too much.”

“You looked fine,” you said through clenched teeth.

When you finally got to your floor, before you stepped out, you quickly pressed all the floors on the elevator and clicked the ‘close door’ button, before running away. Leaving a confused, screaming Peter behind.

“Hey! What the heck!”

When you got to your room, you stripped down and got into an oversized hoodie and shorts.

You unhooked your bra and pulled it out of the neck of the hoodie.

“Ahh,” you sighed, “much better.”

When you were comfortably snuggled into your bed, you started to play the first Harry Potter movie.

“No, stop, stop, stop! You’re going to take someone’s eye out. Besides, you’re saying it wrong. It’s Levi-OH-sa, not Levi-oh-SAH.”

You giggled as your favorite line from the movie was said.

Right after you finish giggling, Peter burst through your door.

“What the heck was that!”

The smile on your face disappeared, “what was what.”

“I feel sick from that elevator ride! I barely got off just now and I threw up in your kitchen.”

“Ugh, you’re disgusting.”

“And now you’re watching one of our favorite movies WITHOUT ME?”

“You act like this is the most possibly worst thing we could ever do to each other.”

He scoffs, “of course it is.”

“No Peter,” you stated, “this could not.”

“Then what can? What can be worse (Y/n)?”

You scoff, can he be anymore dramatic.

“I am offended,” he says jokingly, before he jumps on the bed next to you, getting under the blanket.

“Scoot.”

You roll your eyes before slightly scooting to the side.

A good ten minutes or so into the movie you finally answered his question.

“What could be worst is you leaving me for some girl when you promised to meet up with me right away after you get ready.”

Peter turns to you, guilt taking up his face.

“I’m sorry, but my crush finally spoke to me and I didn’t want to leave just there and then.”

“Yeah well my crush didn’t even care,” you said below your breath.

“What?”

“I said, I waited for you for so long and you never even came.”

“I’m sorry (Y/n),” he whined, “I’ll make it up to you.”

You just sat there, staring at the screen.

“(Y/nnnnnnnn). Speak to me pleaaaaseeeee.”

Before you can even speak, someone burst into your room.

“(Y/n), who cares about him? I don’t even know why you’re crushing on him in the first place. Seriously, when I see that guy, I will kill him.”

The two of you stared at Natasha, with shocked expressions.

Her still not knowing Peter was there until the screen went back to bright.

Her eyes grew wide, before turning around and running away.

“I– I–” you stuttered, Peter slowly turning to your face.

“I forgot that I texted her, while you were getting sick in the elevator.”

“You like me? Like, like me like me?”

You gulp, eyes fixed on the screen.

You can see a stupid smirk growing on his face from the side of your eye.

“Awww you like me!” he teased, poking your side.

You let out a deep sigh.

“(Y/n),” he said in a sing-songy tone, still poking your side. He knew that was your tickle spot. When your lip twitched to a smile slightly, he began to attack your sides, popping the giant laugh bubble you were keeping in.

You erupted with laughter and he couldn’t help but smile.

“There, I finally got you to smile.”

You sigh, raising your hands in defeat.

“I’m really sorry (Y/n).”

You nod, “it’s okay.”

“I like you too.”

“What?”

“You heard me.”

“Correction, you like Liz.”

“No, I like you.”

“Peter.”

“(Y/n).”

“Seriously?”

“I’m serious.”

“You literally just left me for her and admitted that she was your crush not too long ago.”

“I lied.”

“Then why would you be with her then, instead of me?”

“Well, I liked you for a while now, I tried not to because I didn’t want to ruin the friendship that we already have.”

“Are you sure you don’t like Liz?”

“Yes, I’m positive.”

“Because it doesn’t seem believable. You looked way into her today.”

“Alright, wanna hear the truth?”

You sigh, “yeah.”

“I actually was asking Liz for some tips on how to get you to like me, and I wanted you to feel jealous and realize that I’m a great guy, you know?”

“Are you serious?”

“One hundred percent, promise, I cross my heart, and I’ll let Widow kill me if it was a lie. Go, ask Liz.”

You squint your eyes at him, feeling the bed next to you for your phone.

To Liz Allan:

Hey Liz, how was the party tonight?

You waited for her to reply, the typing bubble popped up fast.

LA: It was fun! Peter is such a sweetie pie.

You: Oh I know. He seemed so into you! You’re so lucky! I wished he liked me back…

LA: OMG! You like Peter?!?

You: lol isn’t it obvious…

LA: Dude! He likes you too! You should tell him!! <3 <3

You: Seriously??? But you two seemed so flirty with each other earlier..?

LA: Don’t worry, I was just helping him out on what he should do to get you to like him back, but I guess those are useless now that you already like him back! You guys are gonna be the cutest couple ever! I’m sorry if what we did earlier ruined anything you two had :(

You: It’s okay, thanks for letting me know tho! :))

You put the phone down and looked at Peter.

“Fine. I believe you.”

You looked at him with a blank look. No amusement, happiness, sadness, emotions whatsoever.

“Okay! So…. wanna be my girlfriend then?”

You shrug, “sure, I guess,” turning back to watch the rest of the movie.

“(Y/n).”

He sat in front of you blocking the tv, “Can you give me a hug?” He always offers a hug after an argument, just so he knows that you forgive him and your back to being friends now. Just to make sure you’re not still mad.

“If you don’t give me a hug, the offer is gone.”

You tilted your head back and groaned loudly before getting on your knees to walk to him, jumping into his arms.

He closed his arms around you, hugging you tightly before shaking you.

“Yaaaay! I upgraded from best friend to boyfriend.”

“Peter,” you choked out, “I– I– can’t breathe.”

He slowly untighten the hug before jumping up and down on the bed with you, still hugging you close to his chest.

But suddenly, he stopped and pulled you away, arms length.

“What?” you said, “what’s wrong.”

His jaw dropped before backing up slightly.

He looked at you with a super shocked expression, “Uh–”

“WHAT?”

He shivers slightly, “you’re not wearing a bra are you?”

Your eyes goes wide before clutching your chest.

“Turn around,” you said, before grabbing your bra from the floor next to your side of the bed.

“There.”

He turned around, shivering again, “that felt weird.”

“Then stop talking about it, you’re making me feel awkward.”

He scoots back next to you, hugging you back close to his chest.

You hesitantly lay your head on his chest, him wrapping his arms around you tightly.

“I’m sorry baby, I’ll stop.”

You scrunch your nose and cringed, a mix of a disgust and embarrassed look on your face , “Uggh that was weird.”

“What?”

“Baby?”

“What do you want me to call you?”

“Uhh, my name?”

“Sorry sweetheart, you’re my girlfriend now, things gotta change a bit.”

“Fine.”

“Now be quiet Love, I’m trying to watch the movie here,” he scoffs, rolling his eyes. Earning a playful smack from you.

To be honest, this boyfriend-bestfriend thing is going to be fun. I could get used to this.

A/N: Wrote all this in one sitting, so sorry if it was bad! Also, sorry for the lack of fics, I’ve been having writers block. I’ve wrote a bunch of other things but never finished it because they SUCKED. Ps. Let me know if you liked this! It’ll help me get motivated to write more lol.
