…doar ca de multe ori cei care ar trebui sa iti formeze aripile, sa le ude cu vise si povesti pentru a creste frumos, sunt cei care le taie si le ard de la radacina, pentru a nu mai putea realiza nimic, nicicand.
Si cand realizezi asta, te lasi inlantuit de propria voce, de propriile ganduri care iti devin inchisoare si intelgi ca nu vei ajunge bine, ca intotdeauna ai fost o umbra, un nimeni pentru nimeni…
Si atunci te arzi cu totul, iti lasi trupul sa cada, sa se prelinga pe un perete murdar si existenta ta pe aceasta lume devine mecanica. Supravietuiesti, pentru ca e singurul lucru omenesc de care esti capabil….si la finalul zilei te pierzi.
Asa ca te uiti, ca la o piesa de teatru, la viata aceea care se scruge si prinde contur in jurul tau. Vezi emotii, fericire, familie si iubire si incepi sa te uiti la ceea ce ai tine. Si realizezi ca nu ai nimic din toate acestea. Si cum ai putea avea? Cand tot ceea ce ai primit, in toata existenta ta, a fost o ura imbibata in nervozitate si voci ridicate.
Te uiti din nou in tine si tot ceea ce reusesti sa vezi e un monstru si nu monstrul de sub patul unui copil, acela care dispare odata ce copilul creste. E monstrul acela care devine mai mare de fiecare data cand privesti in oglinda. E suma unghiilor infipte in palma, a cuvintelor inghitite, a dezamagirii, a urii si nervozitatii din privire…suma unor alegeri care nu iti apartin.
Si vre iub… nu conteaza, pentru ca esti constient ca nu o vei primii vreodata. Si cum ai putea cere o afectiune pe care stii ca nu o meriti, pe care stii ca nu o poti returna, nu o poti multumii? Asa ca accepti ceea ce esti. Un om care nu e capabil de nimic bun, care nu stie sa iubeasca, sa zambeasca, sa stranga in brate si sa vindece rani prin cuvinte. Tu esti acela care raneste tot ceea ce atinge, care ofileste oamenii cand ii strange in brate. Esti putred si plin de lacrimi pe care nu le intelegi.
Iar sufletul tau e cel mai negru lucru pe care ai pus vreodata mana si ce e cel mai rau e ca se intinde pe tot ceea ce atingi, pe tot ceea ce esti si tot ceea ce vei fi.

O arzi prin baruri, cluburi, petreceri şi te îneci în alcool ca să uiţi tot ce te-am făcut să simţi. Şi reuşeşti pentru o clipă, pentru o oră, două sau mai mult. Şi când ajungi acasă, rupt, mort de beat, cu gulerul de la cămaşă plin de ruj roşu, îmbibat în parfumul alteia, tot chipul meu îţi vine în minte, tot parfumul meu îl simţi şi tot iubirea mea îţi bate în piept.
erai acolo, exact în fața mea. îmi vorbeai, râdeai, și mă priveai cuminte când nu mă uitam la tine. am văzut foc în ochii tăi, un foc pe care nu eu l-am aprins, dar ai reușit să îmi arzi pielea cu priviri inocente și vesele, și mă-ntreb dacă așa arată fericirea.

Behavioral Changes Seen after Sleep Learning

New Weizmann Institute research may bring the idea of sleep learning one step closer to reality. The research, which appeared today in The Journal of Neuroscience, suggests that certain kinds of conditioning applied during sleep could induce us to change our behavior. The researchers exposed smokers to pairs of smells – cigarettes together with that of rotten eggs or fish – as the subjects slept, and then asked them to record how many cigarettes they smoked in the following week. The study revealed a significant reduction in smoking following conditioning during sleep.

Dr. Anat Arzi in the group of Prof. Noam Sobel of the Weizmann Institute’s Neurobiology Department had previously shown that associative conditioning – Pavlovian-type learning in which the brain is trained to subconsciously associate one stimulus with another – could occur during sleep if odors were used as the unconditioned stimulus. Though the volunteers did not remember the odors they had smelled in the night, their sniffing gave them away: The next morning they reacted unconsciously to tones that had been paired with bad smells by taking short, shallow breaths. The use of smell, explains Arzi, is central: As opposed to other types of sensory stimulus, even very bad odors do not wake us.

The current study was performed on 66 volunteers who wanted to quit smoking, but were not being treated for the problem. Cigarette smoking was chosen for the study because it is behavior that can be simply quantified and the target stimulus was another smell. After filling out questionnaires about their smoking habit, those in the sleep group spent a night in the department’s special sleep lab, in which their sleep patterns were closely monitored. At certain stages of sleep, they were exposed to paired smells – cigarettes and a foul odor – one right after the other, repeatedly throughout the night. Although they did not remember smelling the odors the next morning, the subjects reported smoking less over the course of the next week. In contrast, subjects who were exposed to the paired smells when awake did not smoke less afterward, nor did sleepers who were exposed to cigarette smells and the two aversive smells unpaired, at random times.

The scientists noted that the group with the best results – an average of 30% fewer cigarettes – was composed of those who had been exposed to the smells during stage 2, non-REM sleep. This supported the group’s earlier findings which suggested that we mostly forget what happens in our dreams, but conditioning that makes its way into our subconscious during the “memory-consolidation” stage may stick.

Sobel and Arzi suggest that olfactory conditioning may be a promising direction for addiction research because the brain’s reward center, which is involved in such addictive behavior as smoking, is closely interconnected with the regions that process smell. Some of these regions not only remain active when we sleep, the information they absorb may even be enhanced in slumber.

Arzi: “We have not yet invented a way to quit smoking as you sleep. That will require a different kind of study, altogether. What we have shown is that conditioning can take place during sleep, and this conditioning can lead to real behavioral changes. Our sense of smell may be an entryway to our sleeping brain that may, in the future, help us to change addictive or harmful behavior.”

Please guys, I really need your help.

I don’t usually ask for anything, but this time I could really use some help. 

A friend of mine (Brandon), who lived with me for about 4 months owned a labrador mix puppy named Arzy. Brandon is a traveler and had been making his way to Louisiana with a friend and with Arzy the dog when it started to rain and they took shelter in an empty truck. Police were called and Brandon and his friend were handcuffed. Arzy was tied up on a short 4 foot leash. The officer asked if the dog was aggressive and Brandon told him that he was not. Twenty seconds later the police officer shot Arzy in the head and then told Brandon that Arzy had bit him on the toe. There was an eye witness who vouched that the dog had done no such thing. Arzy, who I considered part of the family, was the sweetest dog you could ever meet and what happened to him was horrifying. The story has made news and there is a petition to get the officer fired. 

Please, please, please take a second to sign this petition that is rapidly growing to get some justice for the heartless cruelty shown to mindlessly murdering an innocent dog who I considered a friend and a family member.
