Taken somewhere in the Sagano district near Kyoto, I am finally reviewing images taken during a remarkable aesthetic adventure in Japan last fall.

Tenryu-ji Garden & Sōgen Pond
The milky koi pond, the beginnings of fall colour, some kind of ultra soft atmospheric light…this image just seemed to insist on a different treatment like a hand-coloured vintage postcard. The Zen temple garden is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (and the pond designated as a ‘Special Place of Scenic Beauty of Japan’ in Kyoto.
