A: “ You know Korra I do like your short hair… ”
K: “ Buuuuut??”
A: “ But it’s a shame i didn’t get to braid it when it was longer ”
A. “ I’m sure it would have looked really nice on you ”
K: “!!…”
K: “ WELL!!” “ In that case I guess I can let it grow back ”
K: “ And then you can braid it whenever you feel like it ”
K: “ Deal?” // A: “ Deal ”

I’ve seen so many korra designs in which she has a huge braid and i can imagine Korra letting her hair grow back so that Asami can braid it for her all the time

Okay, so I’m really tired and I’ve had a long day, but even over half a year after the series ended I still love Asami Sato, and I’m still thirsting for more canon content with her.

  • give me frustrated asami sato. give me asami tirelessly working toward rebuilding republic city (again) and providing safe and secure homes for everyone, not just the rich and famous. the woman who argues with world leaders to give poorer people a chance, not just those who can fill in the wage gap.
  • give me passionate asami sato. show the woman who rants and raves and gives impromptu speeches about the inequality of benders and non-benders, and her arguing that, whilst she didn’t agree with Amon’s policies, that there was a reason the rebellion started in the first place, and they should address the problems rather than blame it all on a scapegoat.
  • give me generous asami sato. someone helping non-benders who struggle with work a chance in her factory, who gives women equal opportunities and takes no crap from her fellow male competitors in the field.
  • give me inspired asami sato. show me the woman who converses with spirits in her spare time, mending bridges between humans and spiritual entities so that both sides prosper in a healthy way. show me the woman who will preserve nature, but also not at the expense of human expansion and growth.
  • give me happy asami sato. the woman who has suffered so much, given so much, yet had all her hopes crushed year after year. show me asami sato with korra, happy and laughing and in love.

Asami Loves Korra: Power Couple, part 2

Read part 1 here!

Asami is kind of an astounding fighter. While she’s rarely the center of attention, throughout Legend of Korra we see her take on all kinds of foes, including professional soldiers, spirit monsters and experienced Benders, and hold her own. I can’t remember if Asami has any formal training (I seem to recall something about self defense classes. Then again, it’s not clear if Mako and Bolin have any formal training either) but throughout the series she proves herself to be an incredibly effective combatant. Asami lacks that kind of broad martial arts prowess that we see with Korra. Instead she employs a more focused style that consists of quick kicks followed by a spin that brings her shock glove into play. We see her do variations on this move over and over again throughout the series. That’s not to say that Asami only knows one trick. Her fighting style is fast and fluid, relying on speed and rotating body movements that end in quick, effective take downs. I want to say this is inspired by Judo, but really I have no idea.  Asami often drops into the background during fights since Korra and the other benders are often paired off against bending opponents, leaving Asami to fight less interesting enemies. But when we do get a glimpse of Asami in combat she’s always impressive. Her first big fight in Book 3 is along side Korra against a group of motorcycle thugs. Korra does more damage during teh fight, but Asami’s take downs are effortless and elegant. Which is kind of her thing. Asami makes everything look easy and classy!

Since I already did one for Papa Mako, now it’s Mama Korra’s turn with the big offspring my crazy fangirl mind gave to her ~_~”

Due to her Avatar duties, Korra cannot spend much time with family as much as she would like but, whenever she can, she tries to make the most of it. Looking back years ago, Korra never imagined herself starting a big family with anyone. It was far from easy to balance the needs of her children with the rest of the world but every time she would be back from one of her trips, back to their arms, Korra was sure she didn’t regret anything.

What would you say is Korra's greatest fear? Being weak? Not being able to fulfill her duty as the Avatar? Or something else? [I really enjoy your meta posts and your fic btw]

“I told you, Korra.  The World doesn’t need you anymore.”

“The time of the Avatar is over, Korra.  Give up.”

“There’s no use in fighting.  Let go.”

I think what Korra is most afraid of is irrelevancy.  Being weak and unable to fulfill her duty as the Avatar is part of that, but I see her core issue as being a lot bigger than those things.

Korra needs to be needed, because she defines herself by what she does.  As such, nothing frightens her more than the idea that her existence isn’t necessary or even useful.  =/

(Thank you!  =D  I’m glad you enjoy them.  ^_^ )

Rufus the Red Panda

This Red Panda’s name is Rufus, he’s a playful little panda who enjoys rolling in fields and smelling flowers. He also loves to play dress-up and imagination games like “king of the tree” from his favorite, a blossoming apple tree.

I made a few little changes to the design this time, putting the eyes closer together, smaller ears and adding embroidery for the first time. I’m really enjoying making these little ones, could you tell? x)
