Things to Remember on a Sunday Night:

  • This Horrible Thing that you are thinking about won’t be so horrible in the morning.
  • You are loved and vital and appreciated.
  • Don’t listen to the nasty lies your mind makes up about your body and soul. You are beautiful.
  • It’s okay to be sad. The sadness is not permanent.

There are other people going through the same thing. You are not alone.

🌊 Water Magick🌊

Here’s a list I’ve compiled for different types, places, and times to collect water and charged waters. I use these primarily for different energies to paint with but the information can be used in a variety of ways to fit your practice.

Types:
💧 Rain: cleansing, protection, energy (if collected during a sun shower it is also associated with balance and the first rain in the month of May (Aqua de Mayo is considered to bring good health, luck, and eliminate dark entities )
💧 Creek/Stream: purification, harmony
💧Dew: Health, eyesight, beauty
💧 Fog/Mist: Creativity, balance, partnerships
💧 Ice: Transformation, balance, creativity💧 Pond/Lake: peace, contentment, relaxation, self reflection
💧 River: moving forward, protection
💧Sea/Ocean: health, power, goal manifestation
💧 Snow: Transformation, balance
💧 Spring Water: growth, cleansing, protection, prosperity
💧 Swamp/Waste: Banishing, binding
💧 Waterfalls: power, energy, success
💧Well: healing, wishes, intuition

💧 Tears: healing, compassion, emotional upheaval, blessings, binding, fertility/pregnancy, self reflection

☔ Seasonal Rains☔
These are specific associations for rains collected on the day or night of a solstice or equinox which make them more rare.
💧 Spring: New Ventures
💧 Summer: Growth
💧 Autumn: Gratitude
💧 Winter: Blessing

🌙 Moon Water🌙
In general water charged under the moon is considered sacred to the goddess and is associated with feminine energies and intuition. Here are some associations with the specific phases:
🌑New/Dark: curses, banishing, divination🌘Waxing Crescent: attraction, wealth, success
🌗 First Quarter: creativity, motivation
🌖 Waxing Gibbous: good health, attraction
🌕 Full Moon: Healing, cleansing, clarity
🌔 Waning Gibbous: undoing, cleansing
🌓 Last Quarter: breaking bad habits, banishing
🌒 Waning Crescent: wisdom, illness, balance

📝 Note: you can also charge your water under full moons that correspond to your intentions. Examples- full flower moon for fertility, beauty, and feminine energy or full moon in Aquarius for the added associations.

🔆 Sun Water: (Water charged from dawn til dusk) positivity, energy, power, strength, masculine energy.
🌹 Rose Water: (Either rain, dew, or snow collected from roses or condensation collected from boiling roses) love, protection, commitment, beauty, compassion
💀 Gravestones: (water collected from grave sites) ease of loss, restfulness, burying or releasing feelings.
🏛 Monuments: (water collected at monument sites) remembrance, nostalgia, patriotism, loss
🌈 Rainbow: (Water collected during a sun shower while a rainbow is present) luck, wealth, happiness, fulfillment, positivity.

I hope this helps you guys! As always, listen to your intuition about the energy of a particular water you have collected and remember to charge it with your specific intent.

Light and Love friends!

30 Things You Can Add to Your Art Journal

Art journals can be decorated, simple, planned out, spontaneous, and a great outlet for stress. Here are some ideas for you to add to your own art journal.

1. Collage. Using magazines, newspapers, old books, posters, prints off the internet, you can make fabulously artistic pages.

2. Sew-on Decor. Instead of using glue, Mod Podge, or tape, try using thread to sew pictures onto the pages. It will give it a vintage, textured look.

3. Tea Stain. If you take a tea bag and steep it in hot water for a little, you can stain the pages to make the pages look old. Different teas make different colors, so experiment!

4. Paint. Water-color painting, acrylic painting, finger painting, or whatever the medium of paint is that you choose. Get in there and paint the pages however you want!

5. Sketch. Not all pages have to be pops of colors and textures. You can have pages of beautiful simple sketches.

6. Stamp. If you don’t have stamps, it’s easy to make your own. Search for some DIY stamps.

7. Nature. Tape or glue pieces of nature into your pages. Flowers, grass, leaves, or twigs.

8. Masking Tape. Make a pattern on the page with masking tape and color, paint, or doodle over the pattern. Take the tape off when you’re done to see the amazing pattern underneath.

9. Doodle. Draw anything and everything. Try using pens or markers instead of pencil. Make mistakes and live with them because mistakes are beautiful.

10. Outline Objects. Take a roll of tape, a phone case, pictures, or anything around you and outline them with pens, markers, or Sharpies. Overlap the shapes for an interesting effect.

11. Washi Tape. Decorate the pages with borders, wrap it around the edges, or create shapes.

12. Trace. If you have thin enough pages, you can trace shapes, images, and scenes. Just don’t claim that the tracing was your own art because that’s not cool.

13. Blow Paint. Glob some paint with some water and use a straw to blow the paint around the page.

14. Pastels. Experiment with pastels. Mix them with water, rubbing alcohol, or just smudge and mix them together.

15. Stencils. Use stencils to design pages with shapes and images. You can experiment by using paints or by overlapping.

16. Stickers. Plaster an entire page with stickers if you want or use them sparingly. It’s your call.

17. Divide the Page. Use a ruler or a flat edge to divide the page into various sizes of shapes. Color each shape in differently.

18. Etch. Etching is a technique in which you place an object under the page and shade over it. The final outcome is really amazing.

19. Sharpies. Scribble, sketch, doodle or experiment by mixing the Sharpies with rubbing alcohol.

20. Glitter. Throw some glitter (make it rain) on some wet paint, glue, or water-brushed pages.

21. Scribble. Exactly what it says.

22. Burn the Page. This one you need to be careful with because you could ruin the whole book. Take a lighter or a match and just gently burn the edges of the page to make it look old.

23. Outline Your Hands. By outlining your hands, you are making a page that no one else can…unless they have the same size hand as you.

24. Sponge. Dip a sponge in paint and press it on the page all over.

25. Make A Comic. Who says you have to draw out a comic? Collage it or paint it! Or just draw it because that’s pretty too.

26. Zentangles. If you aren’t sure what these are, just look them up. They are fun and are said to help people calm down.

27. Your Own Pictures. Add your own personal images of friends, family, yourself into your artwork.

28. Quotes. You can write them yourself, print them out, cut them from magazines, or cut them from books.

29. Maps. This might be difficult for those who don’t have maps or atlases. Mod Podge pieces of maps to the pages.

30. Mixed Media. Combine any of the previous suggestions for a fantastic piece that you’ll be proud of.

My friends, I finally decided to make a masterpost for my Raúl Esparza and Broadway drawings. This post shows my development as an artis, since I came over here from the Fassbender fandom. It contains old and new ones, as well as good and bad. I thought of deleting the bad ones first, but then I realized, that they are also an important part of my journey, so I kept them. Yet there are a few I left out on purpose, but they weren’t important anyway. I hope you find joy in this post and I wanna thank all my friends in the Raúl Esparza fandom, who always support me and are there whenever I need them. I love to draw for each and everyone of you! :-*

PS: Please excuse any typos. I can’t believe I’ve made so many drawings by now!!

dedicated to freethepoets (check her out!)

Okay, this is basically compiled from maybe 20-30 different sources, so there’s a lot of info here. one hella big masterpost.  Even though there’s so many, I have personally checked each link to make sure it works, so you shouldn’t have to worry about that. Note: if marked with *, it’s digital/tablet art most likely. This is a really long post, so look under the cut. Follow for more master posts and references!

anonymous asked:

Hi, so I want to improve my drawing (HB pencil and paper, no fancy stuff) and I am not a complete novice, but pretty close to that. Do you have any recommendations for tutorials/courses that could help? Something like The Joy of Painting where I could draw along would be really useful, but I'm not overly fussy.

Hmmm must of the tutorials I find are in youtube so I´ll just link four youtube channels I find useful:

SchaeferArt: This guy is great. He has a lot of painting time lapses and if you want to watch tips on how to become better at arting he´s got some videos on how to draw basically. He also talks about color theory and stuff like that which can be very useful.

DGPaints: God, this guy´s paintings are masterpieces. Most of his videos are speedpaints, but by looking at them you can get an idea of what he does and how he does that.

Art of Wei: Okay this one is kind of a step-by-step guy. In every video he draws with pencil and you can clearly see what he is doing while he explains. His drawings range from portraits from bananas so you can find a lot of variety in his channel.

PaintBasket: I love this guy. He has also several videos where he draws while explaining what he is doing, kinda Bob Ross-ish. He paints with charcoal, oil, watercolor, pastels, and pretty much everything. I really recommend this channel.

I hope you find them useful!

emilee-404  asked:

Hi! I want to draw people with a lot of emotion captured, but I don't really know how to do it so that the viewer feels something. I want to show more emotion, I guess? (This was really unclear, I know :0) Thank you so much!

What a great question, @everchangingotps!

I think studying anatomy helps a lot. Facial muscles are a bit complex, and they move in different ways to make the frowns and smiles happen!

Here’s a few great resources I found:

YURI ON ICE X KUROKO NO BASKET AU????

Or, YOI is technically a sports anime but doesn’t follow a lot of tropes, so what if I did an AU where it does? And I just happen to love KnB, so basketball it is. High school sports + the Power of the Team and Friendship ™ + student life + training camps + graduating senpais etc…

Headcanons below cut!

YOI family AU series

well, someone asked me about the order in the story of we’re pregnant and the others so I decided to make a masterpost of all the ones I’ve made and I’ll update it every time I do something new :)

1) We’re pregnant!!: this is the Victuuri story how they met and started their beautiful family <3  part 1, part 2

2) We’re pregnant!! extras:I talk more of Otayuri here and how they’re so in love with Victuuri’s son  extra 1, extra 2

3) Madly in love: this is the otayuri’s story, how they started dating and became a couple, I thought it was important since next series are of otayuri’s family  part 1, part 2

4) OtaYuri’s family: some short comics about the experience of Yurio and Beka being parents n__n: extra 1, extra 2, extra 3

5) grown up children (?): just a little glimpse of how the kids would look like teens here

masterpost: my art advice

you may ask how i got to be good at art, well this is what i do:

-draw before i go to bed

-try to draw when i wake up

-draw when i’m with people

-draw when i’m all alone

-draws to cope

-draws to be happy

-never leaves home without a pencil

-writes down inspiration as soon as it comes

-creates one final thing once a week at the very least

(only skipping a week when other things seriously need attended to or just need a little break)

-makes it a point to never runs out of paper/erasers/pencils

-manages a consistent art blog

-seeks followers love for motivation to keep it going

-asks other artists i look up to for advice

-even if the artists are snobs i suck it up and do it anyways

-makes it a point to never be the snob to other people who look up to me, greets artists with big wide open arms

-saves/screenshots art thats inspiring

-tweets my art to adultswim even though they never see it

(hey at least i made it in the first place)

-never makes excuses not to do the drawy thing

(took a long time to overcome that one)

-would draw until i could barely keep my eyes open

-keeps a sketchbook close to my bed

-so much coffee

-and more coffee

-watches cartoons to be inspired (extras/shorts from the animator themselves are my favorites)

-would spend my last penny on drawing books

-tells my family all i need is art supplies for birthdays/holidays (they stocked me up good a few years ago & haven’t had to buy much since then)

and NONE of it happened overnight. this is a list of things that i adapted on to do over years and years and years.
