Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day

Frances McDormand and Amy Adams look like this:

Mark Strong looks amazing in white suit (honestly, if any director ever needs a guy who looks GREAT wearing suit - just cast Mark Strong - I fell in love with his suit-wearing skills in Body of Lies)

Then there’s THIS GUY:

And he sings (with Amy Adams)!

BONUS: the movie is full of art-deco-interior-design porn:

(I shamelessly found pictures on Google images, none of the screencaps are mine)

Chula Vista gives Long Beach, CA a run for saddest neglected Art Deco buildings per Capita. At least Long Beach has the Queen Mary & St. Mary’s Hospital (original building). 04/18/2015. Then again, Long Beach tore down the Brayton Theatre.

Henderson KJ Streamline, 1930. Collection of Frank Westfall. Photo © Peter Harholdt. Exhibition “sensuous steel”, Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Nashville, 2013. Via artblart

In an era when streamlining was used sparingly in motorcycle design, American Orley Ray Courtney’s enclosed bodywork was virtually unknown on production two-wheelers, making the KJ an unusual and beautiful example of Art Deco design.

Simply Star Wars by Craig Drake

In celebration of the new teaser for The Force Awakens at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA (Apr 17-19, 2015), I’ve compiled the forceful illustrations of Craig Drake who has worked with Lucasfilm since 2006.

Originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Craig moved to San Francisco after graduating from The College for Creative Studies. He worked for several years as a freelance designer for many major companies such as EA & Adobe before finding a home at Lucasfilm. It was here that he adopted his Patrick Nagel influenced style.

You can buy most of his prints at Hero Complex Gallery or Dark Ink Art
