Yokohama International Marine Terminal, completed 2002. Thie internationally acclaimed structure launched the careers of husband and wife duo Farshid Moussavi and Alejandro Zaera-Polo (then working as Foreign Office Architects). The couple’s studio submitted a proposal that won over other well established architects such as Toyo Ito and Dominique Perrault.

The buildings roof doubles as a circulating public space, seamlessly integrated and accessible from the inside or street level.
