I’ve watched the anime + live action of Bokura Ga Ita and loved it. I haven’t read the manga yet though ^^’

Josei is targeted for ladies in between the age of 18-33 and where most stories are more mature or realistic. Shounen is the male equivalent of shoujo and is targeted for boys between the age of 10-17.
