are we still a fandom

Maybe peolpe feel that FWS was more about Peter, the Sheriff and the-girl-who-must-not-be-named, than about Sterek. I don't know. I always think we should be grateful that you ARE still in the fandom and writing. I don't mind if I have to wait longer for the next Sterek fic. So please, take your time. You and your fics are awesome.

That’s true, I have to admit that there was a lot of not!Sterek in it for a Sterek fic, LOL. If I do a TSC 5, I’ll make sure there’s lots of Sterek in it. ^_^

Just a quick little post on this Thanksgiving to express how thankful I am. For the boys for bringing us all together, for Harry being the inspiration behind my blog and a constant source of happiness and light in my life, for the friends I’ve made here, and for you all for reading my writing and talking to me and caring about my life. It may seem silly to say, but as much as we all complain about Tumblr and the fandom, it’s still become a huge part of my life and led me to make so many wonderful connections. I’ve talked to so many of you from all over the WORLD, even people who ARENT Harry fans, and that’s such an insanely cool thing to me! I’ve learned so much about other people, and about myself, and so on this day I just want to thank you guys for following me and letting me express myself daily. Especially those of you who have followed me since the very beginning. Whether or not you celebrate this holiday I just wanted you all to know how thankful I am. I hope you have the LOVELIEST days filled with yummy food and drinks, and that you’re surrounded by friends and family and endless love and positivity. I love you guys. 💜

Don’t forget Gorillaz fans, Jamie Hewlett exist! He made all you’re favorite band members come to life in the music videos, shorts, ect! He continues drawing them countless times and works day and night to give you new content with the band members! So please appreciate him!!! ❤❤❤

When you say a fandom is dead, it’s a bit of a blow to people who are still producing and enjoying work for that fandom. You’re basically saying what they’re doing doesn’t matter, doesn’t count, which might discourage them from continuing to participate.

If one person is creating content, the fandom isn’t dead.

If one person is consuming content, the fandom isn’t dead.

If two friends are chatting on skype about their OTPs, that’s fandom.

If someone doodles drawings of their favorite characters on a napkin, that’s fandom.

Just because someone is producing content for one fandom doesn’t mean they have to leave another.

Not every fandom can be the big, new, shiny and popular thing.

Not every fandom *should* be the big, new, shiny, and popular thing.

It’s okay to have small, tight-knit fandoms. They can be just as fulfilling and entertaining as the big ones.

to answer people screaming maniacally in my inbox; yes, i have seen the designs. yes, the fourth is a fave. yes, i am screaming too.

there’s a lot of drama happening in the sidemen fandom, so just a moment of appreciation for everyone’s unproblematic faves

I’m so sick of these fucking “OPEN YOUR EYES, STEREKS, YOU’RE FALLING FOR THEIR TRICKS AGAIN” posts, because literally no one is falling for it. Everyone knows exactly what they’re doing. No one believes we’re suddenly getting canon Sterek, and no one is suddenly saying that Jeff Davis is a creative genius who really takes the opinions of the fandom into account.

People are excited to see Derek and Stiles again, knowing full well they will be disappointed. Some people will wait for the gifs, some will watch the entire season, but Jesus Christ, stop yelling at everyone like they’re idiots blindly walking into a trap or betraying the fandom by watching the show. Just chill the fuck out and let people be excited.

The IT (2017) fandom has not even hit it’s peak in shit posting. We still have TWO years. I have been in fandoms before that had to wait longer (Sherlock for example). The hiatus gets scary. Pretty soon, us fanfiction writers will be writing Reddie ‘The Great Gatsby’ au fics and the posts will literally be just small icons of Stan’s face saying “same”

We haven’t even staRTEd.

Robron Positive Squad.

Reblog, if your blog is gonna remain positive as you can about this whole, thing, and truly believe that no matter what, they will find a way through this at the end of the day (and maybe even end up stronger for it) so people, know who to follow for the positivity train. I know @reformedcharacter is with me!
