arabian aristocrats

The Borzoi, also known as Russian Wolf Hounds, came into existence when 17th century Russian Aristocrats mixed Arabian Grey Hounds with the thick-coated Russian Sheep Dogs. In the Art Deco period of the 1920’s and 1930’s, this beautiful dog was all the rage. Superstars such as Jean Harlow would flaunt them on the red carpet, and even the captain of the Titanic owned one. Graceful, fast, and extremely elegant, the Borzoi is known to some as the “supermodel” of the dog world.
