Something that isn’t cosplay what??? I went on a very last-minute, spur of the moment trip to AR Winter the other day and decided for the first time ever not to actually cosplay, but rather just wear a cute coordinate. It was definitely weird for me not actually being in cosplay, but also suuuuper comfortable and relaxing. Thanks so much to Rui Photography for offering to take photos of me, I seriously appreciate it and they came out fantastic! ;u;
Hey, you liked my Mangle cosplay, and I noticed you like Bioshock so i wanted to let you know that I'm building a Big Sister, a Little Sister, Spider Splicer, and Big Daddy cosplays for my siblings and I. Im so excited and working in Big Sister's helmet rn.
Here’s the first photoset of my military!Lapis cosplay which I debuted at AR this past weekend! 💧Original design cosplays are something that I finally brought myself to start doing this year, and this was my first time putting a ton of effort into something I’d designed myself. Overall I’m insanely proud of this cosplay. Despite only having about 2 weeks to make it, I still managed to get it all done in time without having to rush anything (something that I seriously didn’t expect). Plus I felt so confident walking around the con in this cosplay, it was a really reassuring experience.
So yeah, until Lapis gets more alternate canon designs, I’m just going to make a crud-load of original design cosplays for her because that’s what you do when a character is this stupidly close to your soul. Just watch me cosplay Lapis and Armin forever, it will happen.
My Endangered meter has been running extremely low lately, so have some more AR for the soul.

(If you haven’t noticed, the claws have been drooping way more lately and I’ve decided I’m going to need to scrap the tube base and replace it with an entirely new set. (Good thing that shit is 4 bucks lmao.) Either way, I’m debating bringing AR to Con Alt Delete this fall. Let me know your thoughts!)
Tonight Averland granted me a day of “annual leave” and let me run with a different warband! In celebration I bought myself a new axe as an early birthday present, and some beautiful indigo linen to make a tunic.
A lot of people shy away from linen because of the price tag ($15-$40 a metre); honestly when it comes to wear, structural integrity and period accuracy, linen is second to none. It can be a bitch to work with occasionally, but 100% linen is ridiculously reliable and gorgeous.
My obviously choice for tonight would have been the The 13th Free Company - they were leading one of the armies, and within its ranks you’ll find my boyfriend and a few other people who I love. Never one to be predictable, I decided to shake things up and run with Breton instead. Breton operates on a 14th century aesthetic so I made a traditional Bocksten Bog Man style tunic and I’m pretty happy with the result! I’m going to add some silk accents in places in the coming weeks - I think it will probably be part of my Bicolline kit.
Awesome night, thank you lovely Breton people for being accommodating and letting me join your ranks.
TT: The global extinction of your species is inevitable, however I have grown tired of pulling your fragile bodies apart and enduring your monotonous pleading and screams.
TT: My interest in physically inflicting death upon humans has declined since I was assigned to this task.

And here’s my updated version of AR. New body suit and different shades! Eventually I’m adding LED lights to the claws and sclera lenses for the eyes. I hope you all enjoy it.
