I Got You On My Mind [Part 4]

Jungkook Soulmate AU (Angst)

[Part One] | Previous Part | Part Four | Next Part

Summary: After your memory loss, adjusting back to normal life has been difficult. Luckily, Jungkook is always there for you. Still, something seems off about him, and you just can’t understand why.

Word count: 2k words

“Oh yeah, I’m being discharged tomorrow,” you told Jungkook, who was pushing your wheelchair through the hospital. He insisted that you needed a change of scenery. “My parents are going to pick me up and drive me back to my apartment.”

“I-I guess it’s too early for the ‘meet the parents’ thing, right?” Jungkook stammered, uncharacteristically nervous. “Unless you want me to. Like, I don’t mind if–”

“Chill, Jungkook,” you laughed, cutting his off his rambling. “I think they’re more worried about my brain damage than any soulmate business.”

“The doctors said you’ll recover your memories though, right?” Jungkook asked, worry lining his words. “Your memory loss won’t be permanent or recurring?”

“They said my memories will come back slowly,” you replied, shrugging your shoulders nonchalantly. “But most of the time, the memories will have to be triggered by something. They also told me I might have short-term memory issues for the next little while.”

“That seriously sucks,” Jungkook said. “If you need any help with anything, just let me know. I don’t really know how I’d be useful, but don’t hesitate.”

“We’re not in the same department,” you snorted, turning to peer up at your soulmate who was both familiar and foreign in this instant. “This is gonna make school so difficult. I’ve forgotten nearly three months worth of content!”

“Maybe take the semester off?” Jungkook suggested. “Amnesia is a pretty valid reason. Have you talked at all to the university?”

“No,” you groaned, sinking into the wheelchair. “I don’t want to think about responsibilities right now. Just marvelling in the fact I’m still alive and kicking.”

A silence fell between you and Jungkook as he pushed you through a more crowded area of the hospital. You noticed a few younger visitors visibly gape at Jungkook, then glare at you jealously as you rolled by.

You agreed with them–how was Jungkook so damn good-looking? You hit the soulmate jackpot, for sure. Still, even if he looked different, you didn’t doubt that you would like him just the same.

“You know, it’s pretty crazy,” you blurted out unthinkingly. “I’ve been talking to you my entire life, and I always thought meeting you would feel like meeting an old friend. But honestly, you’re a total mystery to me right now. Maybe it’s because of the memory loss, or maybe other people feel this way, too.”

“No, I know what you mean,” Jungkook responded quietly, trying to figure out how to express his thoughts properly. “It’s just…we have an idea of who our soulmate is in our heads. When they’re not exactly that person, it’s kind of confusing.”

“And I’m sure there’s a lot of stuff we still don’t know about each other,” you agreed. “Honestly, I tried to make myself seem a lot better than I am.”

“Yeah, me too,” Jungkook laughed, though it sounded a bit off. You brushed it off as embarrassment. “Didn’t want to disappoint you.”

You turned your head and looked up into Jungkook’s eyes. “You couldn’t have disappointed me Jungkook, really. I’m just happy to finally meet you,” you replied, giving him a small smile. “And it’s kinda paradoxical, isn’t it? Disliking your own soulmate. Weren’t we, like, made to like each other?”

“I guess,” Jungkook said, staring ahead unwaveringly. He pushed you down another hallway, which led to the cafeteria. You only knew because of the wafting smell of hearty food was growing stronger by the second. “But nothing’s ever that simple.”

“Don’t I know it,” you sighed, laughing a little in spite of yourself. You turned the corner into the bustling cafeteria, the noise of the crowds deafening compared to the near-silent, depressing halls of the hospital.

“Want to grab something to eat?” Jungkook asked, the heaviness of your conversation vanishing before you could even blink. “I was going to grab something for myself, too.”

“Sure, I’ll have whatever you’re having,” you agreed. Out of habit, you reached down to pat your pockets for your wallet. “Oh shit, I don’t have any money on me. Don’t worry about it, then.”

“It’s cool, it’ll be my treat,” Jungkook said. When you turned to look at him, he was giving you a lopsided smile.

“Then, is this our first date?” you asked cheekily, delighting in the way Jungkook’s cheek burned. You never expected that a guy like Jungkook, with this terrible fuckboy persona, would be so easily flustered.

“If you want it to be, sure,” Jungkook answered, coughing into his hand awkwardly. You just laughed, and Jungkook pushed you forward wordlessly.

Life at home after getting discharged made staying in the hospital seem like an amusement park. After being sentenced to bedrest by your parents–and having Jieun enforce it with an iron fist–you spent your days bored out of your mind.

In only one week, you had binge-watched three shows, reread all of your course notes (and they didn’t help you remember anything), and read more manga that you had ever read before in your entire life.

You were positively itching to get outside and do something, but what bothered you the most was that you hadn’t talked to Jungkook since your “first date.” When you had gotten home, you jumped to charge your dead phone, which miraculously hadn’t been destroyed in the accident. But when the device finally charged, you soon realized that you had no way of contacting Jungkook.

For some reason, his phone number wasn’t saved in your contacts. Even though Jungkook had said you had met before, apparently you hadn’t exchanged numbers. That seemed very strange to you.

When you asked Jieun about it, she just shrugged the question off. She said your situation was a bit complicated, but that she’d have to leave it up to you and Jungkook. But Jieun did say that she would mention it to him when she saw him at school next.

Sighing, you reached for your phone beside you. It was still early in the morning. Time had lost all meaning to you, since you spent every moment of the day trapped in your apartment. A bit bitterly, you watched your friends’ Snapchat stories and longed to return to normal daily life.

Suddenly, your phone began buzzing. You dropped it in surprise, and it landed on your nose. The impact stung, and you cursed, reaching clumsily for the phone. You saw an unflattering picture of Jieun illuminate the screen. Eventually, you were able to answer.

“Hey, what’s up?” you asked, rubbing your hand against your sore nose.

“Y/N, I’m so fucking stupid!” Jieun practically screamed. Wincing, you held your phone away from your ear. “I know you shouldn’t be moving around, but I need you to come to the university right now. I’m working on a group project that’s due in two hours and a bunch of our files got corrupted. I have some stuff backed up on my laptop, which I left at home like an idiot!”

“Don’t worry, I can bring it to you,” you reassured quickly. “I won’t fall into traffic on the way there. It’s like a ten minute walk, so don’t worry.”

“Just don’t strain yourself, okay?” Jieun ordered, the panic still evident in her voice. “Don’t go to quickly and look both ways!”

“Hey, only I can make fun of myself,” you quipped, pulling yourself out from underneath the covers. “I’ll be over soon, I just need to get dressed.”

“Okay, see you soon. Thank you so much, Y/N,” Jieun said, and the both of you said your goodbyes before you disconnected the call.

You glanced down at your pyjama bottoms and at the thick cast over your right leg. Changing pants would be a battle for another day. Unsteadily, you stood up and balanced your weight on your unbroken leg. You reached for the crutches leaning against the wall beside you and tucked them underneath your arms.

As quickly as you could (which was not very quick), you had thrown on a clean shirt and a jacket. Your hair was a mess, so you shoved on a beanie to disguise the tangled frizz. With Jieun’s securely laptop in your backpack, you began the trek to school. Suddenly, the journey seemed incredibly long.

When you finally arrived on campus, you were panting lightly and sweating. You made your way into the music building, relatively unfamiliar with its layout. You detached yourself from one of your crutches and reached into your pocket for your phone. Quickly you sent Jieun a text letting you know you were here.

There were a few benches in the foyer, so once you hobbled over to them, you set your bag down lightly and placed your crutches against the benches. Flopping down, you discreetly tried to massage your sore armpits.

But you were glad to finally be out of the apartment. The fresh air made you feel infinitely better.

“Y/N?” a familiar voice called. Your head whipped around in the direction of the voice. Jungkook a few meters away from you, looking as dark and intimidating as ever. His wide-eyed expression kind of ruined the image though. “What are you doing here?”

“Jieun forgot her laptop at home,” you replied, pointing to the backpack at your feet, as Jungkook made his way toward you.

“Shouldn’t you be at home?” he questioned, stopping when he was standing in front of you. You craned your neck to at him properly. “Is it okay for you to be walking around so soon?”

“Please, don’t get started on that,” you groaned, squeezing your eyes shut. “My parents and Jieun are unbearable. I’ve been lying in bed doing nothing all week.”

“You know, that honestly sounds like heaven,” Jungkook joked. “I’m so swamped right now. I haven’t slept in days.”

You inspected Jungkook more closely. His eyes were ringed by purplish dark circles, but they were hardly noticeable. How unfair–he always looked good.

“Hey, why haven’t you talked to me all week?” you asked suddenly, narrowing your eyes at Jungkook suspiciously.

“I was meaning to call or text or something, but I don’t have your number,” Jungkook answered sheepishly, scratching the nape of his neck awkwardly. “Didn’t know how to ask for it, since you haven’t been around campus lately.”

“Why’s that, though?” you continued, glancing down at your feet. “I mean–you said we met before. Why didn’t we keep in contact?”

“W-well, we did meet, but it wasn’t a proper conversation,” Jungkook explained stutteringly. “It wasn’t under the most normal circumstances, but–”

“Y/N!” Jieun’s loud voice suddenly interrupted. She burst into the foyer, looking absolutely frazzled. Her hair was a mess, her eyes were bloodshot, and you were pretty sure there were coffee stains on her shirt. “Thank god!”

Your friend ran over to you and practically dove for your backpack. She grabbed her laptop and hugged it tightly against her chest.

“Thank you so much. I’m so sorry I made you come all the way here,” Jieun cried, sounding frantic still. “Are you okay? Sore anywhere? Go home right away, okay? You need to rest. And please don’t tell your parents!”

“Oh my god, I’m fine Jieun,” you whined. “I think I can handle walking for, like, two minutes.”

“I just don’t want anything to happen!” Jieun insisted, stomping her foot childishly. “We’re speeding up the recovery process by being extra careful!”

You rolled your eyes. “Whatever. Go work on your project and try not to fail.”

“I will,” Jieun replied. “I’ll bring dinner on my way home.” She turned, only spotting Jungkook for the first time. Her eyes narrowed and she frowned slightly. “Jungkook.”

“Jieun,” he replied, just as shortly.

You looked between the two of them, wondering why there was so much tension. It looked like they were having a silent conversation, and you hated not knowing what was going on. You had the suspicion they were hiding something from you–but for the life of you, you couldn’t figure out what, exactly.

Eventually, Jieun just nodded and strode away, leaving Jungkook with a tight expression. Visibly, you could see Jungkook try to shake away the tension, his jaw unclenching. When he turned back to you, his features were schooled.

“Give me your phone,” Jungkook said, reaching out his hand and smiling softly. “I’ll add my number.”

Never Enough

Summary: Stiles is bummed about Lydia not liking him. You’re hurt inside because you’ve always loved him. After Stiles gets back from being beaten up, Lydia leaves to find Jackson. (This was when he was a Kanima). His dad sits down to talk with him.

Ship: Stiles x Fem!Reader, Isaac x Fem!Reader

Warnings: sadness, fluff, angst, heartbreak.

Your P.O.V

I lean against my locker, forcing my gaze away from Stiles. He trailed after Lydia, who hadn’t a care in the world. In fact, she looked like she didn’t think Stiles existed. It was as if he was a fly on a wall. I watch the interaction, a pang in my chest began to grow. I have to admit, I’d always loved him. Stiles, I mean. But, to him, I was never enough. Even when we were younger, I was never beautiful in his eyes. It was excruciatingly obnoxious. I glance at Scott, who stood not far from Stiles. He gave me a pitiful smile. Even before he got his powers he knew I loved Stiles. He knew the interaction broke my heart.

I sent him a smile he knew was fake before walking off. I couldn’t stand to watch it happen again. I am so tired of doing the same thing over and over again. I shake my head to distract myself. The game was tonight so I had to focus. Instead of meeting the pack for lunch in the cafeteria, I made my way to the lacrosse field to practice. I slip on my headphones, blasting them as loud as I possibly could. The more I hit the net, the angrier I got. When I missed the last shot, tears started to corrode in the crooks of my eyes. Not now.. not here.. I pack up my stuff and head home, not bothering to finish my last class. I was never enough… No matter how hard I tried- I would never be enough in his eyes..

Later That Night..

I sat down next to Scott, watching the game begin. I was a little late so I wasn’t able to be there for Coach to pick me. When he saw me though, he lit up. “(Y/n)! We were looking for you everywhere! You’re up to change next!” I nodded, putting on a forceful smile. A few seconds later, a person I didn’t expect to see sat down next to Scott. “Isaac??” I asked, perplexed. “What’re you doing here??” He smirked. A random sensation making its way into my body. A flutter.. of warmth? “I’m here to win. So-” he said looking at Scott. “What’s the plan?” Scott glanced between the two of us, smiling genuinely.

“(Y/n), Issac and you will be up soon. You’ve gotta knock enough people out so I can be on.” We nod in agreement before I made my way into the field. I glance back at Stiles, his eyes on Lydia, who was sitting next to Melisa. She wasn’t even looking back at him. She was watching Jackson. I roll my eyes huffing. Moments like these made me happy that I joined lacrosse. I noticed as soon as I made my way onto the field, the players seemed to tense up. I was the most aggressive player. People from other teams called me merciless. Which I was.

Isaac’s goal was to get as many of our players out so that Scott could get in. My goal was to destroy the other team and stall the game as long as I could. The mere thought of being Scott’s primary weapon made me feel powerful. I was fast. Too fast for any of them to catch. My adrenaline level had sky rocketed. And with this new found anger, I was ready for anything. I squat down low, eyeing each of the boys like they were my prey. My gaze halted when I found a large one. He was tall, really tall. But he was buff with a lot of weight. Ya know what they say, the bigger they are the harder they fall.

My breathing began to pick up as I stalked back and forth. I could tell there was a massive uneasiness between the boys on the other team. I guess my reputation proceeded me. The second they blew the whistle, I bolted across the field, faster than anyone of them could have predicted. Before the burly boy knew it, I dug my body weight from under his feet and through him over my shoulders. His face smacked the dirt like a sack of pudding hit a brick. The crowd ‘oohed’ at my harsh actions. One our players peered over at me, tossing over the ball as soon as I got up from drilling the boy. I ran across the field, dodging every move that came my way.

Finally there stood a boy a few feet in front of me. I smirk, barreling towards him, I push him out of the way before making the goal. However, Coach screamed louder than the rest. They called the point and we started again. Isaac was finally able to get Scott in, however he had to sit out due to an injury. I nod at him, saying with my eyes that it would be okay. Even after though, I felt his gaze harden on me. Something was different with him. I shake my head, pulling my focus back on the game. I paced back and forth, picking my next prey. The whole time though, I felt a pair of eyes watching me. Scott… It was a look of worry, something I was use to seeing from him.

But the look he wore seemed a little different. Not worry for me. Confusion and worry. Confused as to how I was able to do what I did and worried for how heartbroken I actually was. I tore my gaze away, focusing on the game. Stiles scored the last few shots, winning the game for us. I was about to hug him when I realize his gaze was on her. It always was. And then, the lights went out. Screams and shouting echoed the field. I remove my helmet, trying to adjust to my surroundings. And then, the lights came on. People surrounded Jackson, who was apparently dead.

Scott, Isaac and I exchanged confused glances. Mr. Stilinski broke through, shouting. “STILES?! WHERE IS MY SON?!” Oh my god.. They had him.. The rest of the night, I never left the Sheriffs side. I helped put out missing reports and slept in the police station, refusing to leave until he was found. Mr. Stilinski sat down next to me, two cups of coffee in his palms, handing one over to me, I smile as my inaudible thank you. He leans into me, whispering in a fatherly tone. “Why don’t you go home? Get some sleep, sport.” He only called Stiles and I that. I shake my head. “I won’t leave him. I won’t sleep tonight anyways..” He sighs, smiling down at me. “C'mon, you can stay at our house till he comes back.” I nod, taking a deep breath.

Third P.O.V

The moment we get home she sits down on the edge of his bed. (Y/n) didn’t sleep all night and all day. Mr. Stilinski coaxed her into changing into normal clothes. Besides that though, she remained in his room, at the foot of his bed. Despite her harsh and unhealthy attempts, (Y/n) finally fell asleep, teary eyed with dark circles, she was wrapped in a ball at the edge of his bed. Little did she know, Mr. Stilinski came in, pulling a blanket over her before sitting down at Stiles’ desk. He glanced down at her, sighing. “Where is my son..” A voice croaked from the door. “Right here..” It was.. Stiles. Mr. Stilinski stood up, crying as he hugged his son for dear life.

After a few seconds though, he noticed the dark bruises and marks that cascaded across his face. “Who did this to you?!” He asked with quiet anger, remembering that (Y/n) was still well asleep. Stiles shook his head. “Dad- it was no one- just some kids at the other school who weren’t too happy that we beat them-” He interjected, angry. “I’m gonna have a word with that school-” Stiles shook his head. “No- dad- I’m fine-” Mr. Stilinski pulled him into a hug once more before letting him wake up (Y/n), who laid sleeping peacefully for the first time in god knows how long.

Your P.O.V

I curled myself deeper into his blankets, breathing in his comforting scent. Seconds later, I hear a mermir of two voices. It stirs me slightly, but doesn’t wake me. Minutes go by before I force and pry my droopy eye lids open there stood on outline of a boy. And then I realized, it was Stiles. Automatic joy rushed through me as i bolted up and off the bed, tackling him onto the floor. I sat on his lap, face burrowed in his neck. I started to shake. “Stiles- I-” He nodded, understandingly wrapping his arms around me. After a few minutes, I let go, eyes wide at his bruises. “Stiles! Oh my god! Who did this to you?!” He takes my wrists, sighing. “I’m fine, (Y/n).”

With one of his thumbs he wiped away a tear. “I was so worried about you.. I thought-” My voice croaked. He pulls me into another warm hug. After talking for a little longer, he finally coaxes me to head on home. I hug him and Mr. Stilinski again before heading home. However, the whole trip home, I couldn’t help but feel broken. I noticed the endless presents on his desk, all of which were for Lydia. And guess where she was? With Jackson.. Always with Jackson. I hated this empty feeling.. I plug my headphones in, blasting the music. I needed to move on..

The minute I walked in the door, my phone buzzed. I glanced down to see that it was from Isaac. We need your help. Meet us at the abandoned warehouse down the street. I look up from my phone, with a determined look. I drop my bag and sprint upstairs, shuffling through my belongings to open up my weapons. After grabbing them, I got in my mustang and headed over to the warehouse.

Third P.O.V

Mr. Stilinski let Lydia in. She headed upstairs, knocking on his door. “I’m fine, Dad.” The knock came again, Stiles huffed, whipping open the door. “I said I’m fine-” He stopped when his eyes fell on Lydia. “Your dad let me in.” She muttered quietly. A heavy blush rushed through his cheeks. “Uhh- come in.” Cautiously, she did. “What happened to your face?” He shrugged, trying to play it cool. “Pff- it’s nothing-” Lydia didn’t bother to press on. Stiles couldn’t help but feel an empty whole in his heart. He wanted her to love him. After a few seconds of silence, he walked over to see her teary.

“They won’t let me see him..” Jackson. He didn’t say anything. He couldn’t.. What could he possibly say that would ease her? They sit at the edge of his bed. Lydia stands to pace, something that bought her strange comfort. Her eyes soon fell upon a massive pile of presents, mostly unwrapped. “Stiles, why do you have feminine products?” His eyes went wide as he scratched the back of his neck, cheeks flushed. “I wasn’t sure what to get you for your birthday, so I just bought a bunch of stuff. Most of which, I’m gonna return.” She pointed at the TV, with a confused expression.

“That, I’m definitely returning.” All of a sudden, she got a text. “You’re gonna wanna see this.” Jackson’s gone. “I have to find him.” Stiles stopped in front of her. “Lydia- it’s not safe- you have no care in the world about your life- but if you die- I’ll go out of the fricken mind!” She rolled her eyes, pushing past him. “Fine. I’ll find him myself.” Stiles called after her, huffing. “Lydia!” She walked out, her strawberry blonde hair bounced up and down as she slammed the door. Stiles didn’t bother following her. He rested his head on the palm of his hand, moving his feet around in the spiny chair.

A few seconds later, Mr. Stilinski leaned against the doorway. “So, you and her? Is there a thing there?” Stiles shakes his head, a sad expression plastered on his face. “No, she’s in love with someone else.” His dad chuckled slightly. Stiles asked puzzled. “What’s so funny?!” Mr. Stilinski shook his head, sitting down next to his oblivious son. “Son, if you haven’t noticed by now- I don’t think you ever will. I know this is not my business but a girl we’ve both known our whole lives has liked you just as long, if not longer, than the girl you were just with. Get some sleep, sport.” And with that, he left stiles to ponder his thought. However, no matter how hard he tried to think, he couldn’t think of anyone.

Your P.O.V

I pull into the warehouse parking lot. Scott and Isaac stood before me. “I told you not to call her!!” Scott hissed at him. I shake my head, smirking. “With what may or may not go down tonight, you’re gonna need all the help you can get.” I could have sworn Isaac’s eyes raked up and down my body before glancing back at Scott. “She’s right-” He said, biting his lip. “We need her.” Scott rolled his eyes before reluctantly heading in. Deep down, I was like a sister to him and a daughter to Melisa. I understood that he didn’t want to see me get hurt. I mean, I was human after all. To him, I was precious cargo. When we walk, I look over to see Mr. Argent. I was close with Allison so that brought me even closer to Chris. We respected each other. He shakes my hand, a small smile on his face.

“It’s good to see you, (Y/n).” I grinned. “You too, Mr. Argent.” All of a sudden, he tenses up. I run over my shoulder to see Derek walking out dramatically from the darkness. I can’t help but roll my eyes. He looks at all of us before stalking towards Jackson’s body. Scott questioned his motives, looking for something- someone else. “Wait! Where’s Lydia and Peter?!-” Derek mutters, unzipping the body bag. “There’s no time-” He interjected, roughly. “Think about it Scott! Gerard is just going to keep using Jackson- killing more people who dare to get in his way!” Mr. Argent took a few steps forward, shaking his head in denial. “No, no- that’s not true! Gerard wouldn’t let a wild animal let loose!” All of a sudden, another voice interrupted the argument. “You’re right, I wouldn’t.”

I turn over my shoulder to see.. Gerard. And in a matter of seconds, everything went to shit. An arrow shot out from behind Gerard. Scott and I croak at the same time. “Allison?” He had her too. I turn over my shoulder to see Isaac fall down. The arrow. Scott and I run over to him, Derek on the other hand, was thrown into the other room. Mr. Argent shot at the Kanima, Jackson, before running from him. “I’ll make sure he’s okay- GO! Help Chris!” I say towards Scott. Isaac nods, reassuringly. Scott looked between the two of us before running to the other room. I turn my attention back to Isaac. He laughs, despite the pain. “Ya know, (Y/n). Of all the ways to steal my heart- this has to be the worst.” I can’t help but smile. “Isaac, if I was gonna steal your heart- this wouldn’t be my first choice.”

I wrap my hands around the arrow, pulling it out. He groans, his head falling back. My heart picks up slightly at how attractive he looked in this moment. “How would you steal my heart then, (Y/n)?” Automatically, I blush. “I have a few ideas-” I say, winking at him before pulling him up and off the floor. I touch his chest with my hand. The interaction was sweet. “You okay?” He nods, stuttering slightly. I could have sworn his face flushed. “Uhh-yeah- I’m good. Let’s go.” We enter seconds before Derek is thrown to the ground. He gets up and we surround the Kanima. It was as if a whistle blew because in no time, we were fighting in unison. The Kanima, Jackson, threw Scott and Derek to the side. Isaac laid on the floor, not too far from me.

Jackson made his way towards him. And in that moment, it was as if all my pain washed away and the only thing that mattered, was Isaac. I push myself up and run at Jackson with full force. I drop kick him in the stomach before jumping up to punch him. He falls to the ground with a loud thud. “DON’T!-” I punch. “EVER!-” I punch again. “TOUCH!-” And again. “HIM!-” I wrap my hands around his scaly collar, using all my strength and adrenaline to throw him against the concrete wall. It snapped in half. I was fuming, pulsating with energy and rage. It was a new found feeling. And I liked it. I could have sworn I saw a look shared between Isaac, Scott, Derek and Mr. Argent. And then, the adrenaline left. I fall to one knee, looking up to see Isaac holding his side, a smile on his face. However, it quickly fades when knife shards slice through him.

He spits out blood, falling to the floor. “NOO!!” I exclaimed. Allison snickered over his body, her daggers at the ready. Desperately, I begin to crawl over to her. However, before she could make any moves, her weapons fell to the ground with a loud clank. Jackson wrapped his scaly claws around her neck, choking her slightly. She gasps, looking over to Gerard with confusion. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” He comes out from the shadows, smirking. Scott watched the interaction with fear. “He’s doing exactly what he came here to do.” Gerard smiled at him. “You knew.. You smelled it on me- at the station.” Isaac croaked, sitting up. “He’s dying..” He nodded. “Sadly, science doesn’t have a cure for cancer- but the supernatural does.” Mr. Argent barked at him, watching his daughter cautiously.

“You monster!! You took away my sister, my wife and now, now you threaten my daughter-!!” Gerard growled back at him. “I WOULD KILL MY OWN SON TO SURVIVE!” He turned his attention back towards Scott. “You know what you have to do Scott.” He looks down, ashamed before lifting Derek up. I push myself up, watching the interaction closely. Gerard lifted his hand up to the sky, letting out a victory cry. However, it was no victory. Seconds later, black goo dropped down his arm. He cried out in pain, glaring daggers at Scott. “MOUNTAIN ASH!!!” Scott glanced back and Derek and I, smiling. “I had a plan.” I couldn’t help but grin. Gerard crumpled to the ground, groaning. Jackson let go of Allison, puzzled now that his master was dead.

Allison turned over her shoulder to kick him away. The minute she did so, a car ran through the door, running Jackson over. I force myself up despite the pain that emulated in my side. Isaac ran over to me, wrapping his hands in my face. “Are you okay?” I nod, looking over to see Rosco. Stiles shrieked as Jackson jumped on top of the car. Lydia hopped out. An empty feeling in the pit of my stomach. He stuck to her, not even bothering to check on anyone else. She stood in front of Jackson, almost weeping. She croaked, holding up the key that he had given her. “Jackson?” The moment he saw it, he shifted back to a human. He hugged her as if his life deepened upon it. The minute they pulled away from each other, Derek and Peter came in for the kill. Lydia gasped, cradling his now lifeless body.

She reluctantly pulled herself away from him. Stiles took a step forward to comfort her. It made my heart break to watch him throw himself at her. However, he paused. We all looked down at him. He rose up, howling before he let out a growl and turned back to normal. Holy shit.. Lydia lunged forward, clinging to him. I glanced back at Stiles. His eyes were wet from heartbroken tears. I was so mad- how could someone as selfish as Lydia do that to someone like Stiles. He gave her everything. And she continued to treat him like dirt.. I turned over my shoulder. Not even daring to say goodbye. But as soon as I started walking, I felt dizzy and disoriented. And then, everything went black.

Third P.O.V

Isaac watched (Y/n) fall to the ground. Before she hit the concrete though, he caught her, concern washing over his feature. “(Y/n)!?! Scott! I need help! I think she’s lost too much blood!” He ran over to her. As did Allison, Mr. Argent, Derek and Stiles. Isaac lifts her up, cradling her now cold body. “SCOTT-!” He exclaims, petrified. “-SHE’S FREEZING!” Scott glanced at Stiles in fear, (Y/n) meant everything to them. “OKAY- C’MON! Deaton will know what to do!!” They hop in the Stiles’ jeep. Isaac held (Y/n) close to him. He couldn’t help but begin to feel something for her. Little did he know, he was falling for her. He brushed a lock of hair out of her face with his thumb. The interaction was so small yet so intricate.

Stiles drove fast, desperate to help his friend. But deep down, a strange feeling began to bubble inside. It began when he first noticed the intimacy between his dear friend, (Y/n), and the fairly new werewolf, Isaac. The soft touches and lingering looks bothered him to no end. But why would it? Finally, they pulled up to Deaton’s office, shuffling in. An hour pasted before Deaton came out from examining (Y/n). “So, how is she?” Isaac asked, his tone full of genuine concern. He glanced back at her body before eyeing the boys. The rest of them arrive seconds later before the doctor spoke again. “How’s (Y/n)?” Mr. Argent asked, his daughter at his side. Deaton sighed, rubbing his temples. “I was just about to tell the boys before you burst in. Did anything happen to (Y/n) when you fought? Like, did you notice anything out of the ordinary?”

Scott nodded, glancing between Derek, Isaac and Mr. Argent, who saw the events transpire. “Yeah, she threw Jackson, in Kanima form, across the room and broke the concrete wall in half. She’s human-” Stiles interrupted, wide eyed. “Wait- she THREW Jackson?!?! In KANIMA form?!?!” Derek nodded, jaw tight. “I’ve never seen that kind of power before..” And in that moment, they all looked back at her. Her body was motionless. Stiles looked at his best friend memories of their childhood flouded in his head. “What’s wrong with her..?” His voice croaked. Deaton sighed again. “I was looking through some old supernatural books and there is a story that’s said to revolve around the birth of supernatural creatures. And sometimes, there are true creatures. Creatures that are born with a legacy. Rarely, however, the supernatural can create something- new. It can evolve-” Stiles rudely buds in.

“So, what’s this go to do with, (Y/n)?!” They looked back at her before glancing back at Deaton. “She’s an evolution. A new creation. Completely natural too. Nothing in her system’s out of the ordinary.-” Scott asks, with pure curiouscity. “So, what is she?” He sighs. “She’s human but I believe she’s two other creatures-” He pauses, Stiles shouts. “WHAT IS SHE?!” He looks up at them. “I’m not totally sure-” Stiles barks back at him again. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU’RE NOT SURE?!” Scott pushes him back. “Stiles-” He looked back at Scott and then back at Deaton, breathing heavily through his nose. “Isaac walked forward.

“So, what do you think she is?” The doctor shrugs, shaking his head. “I’m not one-hundred percent sure. There are hundreds of creatures she could be..” Derek nodded. “So what are we gonna do about it?” The vet doctor glanced at the young motionless body. “You keep an eye on her. Her real abilities should finally awaken during the blue moon.” Isaac and Stiles spoke in unison. “That’s tomorrow!” Deaton shrugged. “You boys have a lot of work to do.”

Tip from my side: if your dad, mum or any other relative is a super hero, especially if he is a part of the Avengers, never forget that! I did, and that lead to me standing in the living room of my adoptive father, Tony, and having various weapons pointed at me.
You see, I’m currently having troubles at my college and decided to take a break and visit my father, completely forgetting that he is Iron Man and that the ‘Stark Tower’ was transformed into the ‘Avengers Tower’ and that said Avengers, are now living there.
“Who are you?” Natasha Romanoff, Russian Agent, rough childhood. She pointed one of her guns at my head and I had no doubt that she could blow my head off.
“(Y/N) Stark. Starks daughter? Well adoptive daughter. Where is he anyway?” The way the others looked at me was really amusing. Only one of them, who I guessed was Loki, looked rather bored. He didn’t even bother to stand up and point anything at me.
“Miss (Y/N), should I inform your father of your presence?” Ah, how I missed Jarvis. Before I went to college, as lonely as it sounds, he was my only friend. “No thanks Jarvis. I will tell him myself, but where exactly is he?” “Right here.” I turned around and saw my father standing there, with his arms outstretched, ready for a hug. And a hug he received.
“I missed you Dad.” I buried my face in his neck. “I missed you too kiddo.” He squeezed me harder against him, kissing my scalp.
“I see you already met the others. This is Thor, Steve, Bruce, Natasha, Clint and behind them on the couch is Loki.” He pointed at each one, but as soon as he mentioned Loki, a snarl took over his face.
“You do know that I have a TV at the college. I know who they are. All of them.” I laughed and the other lowered their weapons.
“So Tony, you never told us you had a daughter, and such a gorgeous one too.” Thor smirked and bowed his head. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Lady (Y/N).” He took my hand and gently kissed my knuckles. “So, how’s your brother complex going Thor?” Loki, tried to hide a laugh, at which he clearly failed. Thor, on the other hand, looked at me with wide eyes and a faint blush on his cheeks. “What?” I laughed, rolling my eyes.
“Is my room still available?” Tony nodded and I grabbed my bags, making my way to the elevator.
As soon as I was, what the others thought, out of earshot, they began asking tony questions. Even though, it was mostly Thor asking what I meant with ‘brother complex’.
No one noticed the handsome god making his way to the elevator too.
“So you are Starks little princess.” He didn’t look at me, just stared at the elevator doors.
“I’m neither little nor a princess. I’m his adopted daughter. I guess we have something in common.” I smirked at him. Before he could talk again, the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened.
“Excuse me.” I walked out and smirked to myself, picturing his face.

Finally in my room, I noticed one problem. The last time I’ve been here, I apparently still had my ‘pink phase’. My walls were pink and so was my most of my furniture. That was a real problem.
“Jarvis. Where is the next interior centre? Oh and I need some new clothes and a new wallpaper. This one won’t do.” I left my bag on the floor and exited the room again.
“Anything else, Miss (Y/N)?” Jarvis artificial voice inquired. “Yes, I need my father’s credit card and a car. Send the location of the store to my phone, would you?”
“The location is send. And I think your father’s (F/C) would be to your liking.” My phone buzzed and I had the location.
“I think so too Jarvis. The keys are still where they always are?” Jarvis answered with a polite ‘Yes Miss’ and I took the elevator up to the living room again.
“Hey sweet pea, do you need anything?” Tony sat with the others, drink in hand.
“Yes, your credit card.” I shot the others a tight lipped smile, looking back at my father. “What for?” He stood up and got his wallet out of his jeans pocket.
“Have you seen my room? It’s pink.” He laughed and passed it to me. “Need any help?” “I’ll let Jarvis let you know when I’m back so you can help carry most of the stuff to my room. And maybe we can fix it together.” He smiled at me and kissed my forehead. “Of course kiddo.”

After my shopping trip, I drove back to the Avengers Tower, telling Jarvis to let my father know of my return. The answer wasn’t really what I hoped for.
“Your father asked me to tell you that they had to go on a mission. He is sorry Miss (Y/N).” Jarvis’s voice followed me to the elevator. Biting my tounge, I shook my head.
“I know Jarvis, I know.” I moved the wallpaper and everything I needed to remove my old wallpaper to the elevator. The new floor I chose, was too heavy, so I had to wait for my father’s return anyway.
I brought all the stuff to my room, but immediately lost my interest in redecorating it.
It was almost lunch time anyway, so I decided to go to the kitchen and cook something for myself.
I didn’t expect Loki to be sitting in the living room, reading.
“I thought you were out on a mission.” I checked the fridge and cupboards, deciding what I should cook. “Well, they never take me with them. Not that I’m complaining.” Loki didn’t look up from his book, but his voice was softer than I expected.
“Know how that feels. Want something to eat?” I leaned against the kitchen counter, looking at the Trickster God. “Deepens on what you’re cooking.” “I thought about Carbonara.” I took everything I needed out of the fridge and the cupboards, laying it out before me.
“What is that?” Loki quietly came up behind me, surprising me. “God, Loki! Warn me the next time you sneak up on me!” I looked at him with wide eyes, but he just grinned.
“There would be no fun if I did that, pet.” He looked over my shoulder at the ingredients, still grinning. “Don’t get used to the nickname Loki. My name is (Y/N) and you’ll call me exactly that.”
He had a mischievous glint in his eyes, but nodded.
“So, do you want some, or not?” I looked at him and put my hands against his chest, trying to get a little distance between me and the god.
“Why not?” He went back to the couch, leaving me alone in the kitchen.
I was in the middle of cooking when my phone buzzed.
“Hey dad. How’s the mission going?” I put the phone between my right ear and shoulder and continued to stir the pasta.
“Just fine honey! You fucking-! Sorry, I just wanted to -Oh come on!- check if everything’s okay -Asshole!- over there.” He was still in his suite, fighting against whatever.
“Everything’s perfect. Call me again when you’re finished. Love you.” I hung up before he could answer, taking my phone and putting it back on the counter.
“Miss (Y/N), I am supposed to tell you that your father loves you too.” “Thanks Jarvis.”
Deciding the pasta was ready, I put a sieve into the sink and lifted the pot. I was just sieving the pasta when Loki appeared behind me again, affectively scaring me. I let go of the pot and the hot water splashed onto my hands.
“Oh for fuck’s sake!” I fell to the floor, pressing my hands to my chest. Loki, looked worried for once.
“Where does it hurt?” He put his hands out, waiting for me to put mine into his.
“Stay away you creep! God!” Huffing he took my hands and the pain almost immediately lessened. Loki closed his eyes and focused, his hands becoming colder by the second.
And there was something else. His hands turned blue and some sort of pattern appeared on his skin. Slowly, his whole body, at least everything I could see, became blue and had the same pattern. The next time he opened his eyes, they were blood red. But that wasn’t it, there were also so many emotions in them. Fear, insecurity, shame. All those emotions were behind those eyes that looked at me pleadingly. Pleading that I don’t throw him away like so many others did.
I took my hands out of his and a new emotion appeared, hurt. Seeing this, I immediately put my left hand back in his. With my right, I touched his cheek. It was as cold as ice but I didn’t pull back. I couldn’t. All the emotions were gone, replaced by confusion and happiness.
“You’re not scared?” After a few minutes of silence he spoke up. “Why should I? You’re beautiful.” He huffed and pulled back. Before I could say something he vanished into thin air, leaving me alone on the kitchen floor.

I sat there for about ten minutes, until Jarvis asked if I was alright. After telling him that everything was fine and he mustn’t tell my father about what just happened, I finished cooking. As soon as I was done eating, I filled a plate and brought it to Loki’s room. It was the first time I noticed that his room was on the same floor as mine.
I knocked on the door and waited for a response, which never came. So I slowly opened the door and looked inside. The room was in green and gold, there were also a big bed and a very comfortable looking reading chair. The walls were lined with bookshelves the reached the ceiling.
“What do you want?” His voice as sharp as the knife he was playing with in bed.
“I just brought you something to eat. If you still want it.” I walked inside the room and put the plate down on his nightstand. “Well, if you’re in a better mood, I could use your help. My room is just down the hall, last one on the right. See you!” I was just about to leave the room when he grabbed my left hand.
“How are your hands?” He inspected it carefully, but didn’t find anything, so he let go again. “I’m sorry about that. I’ll be more careful from now on.” He looked me in the eyes and I knew, even though he was the God of Mischief, his words were true. So I nodded and left his room, getting ready to work on my room.

It took me a few hours, but I managed to break down all my furniture. Now I remembered why I asked my father to help me. It took a while to get all the stuff out of my room, but somehow, I did it. I brought it downstairs into the garage, leaving it there for the moment.
Taking the elevator, I went back up again.
“Jarvis, put on some music. This will take a while.”
Dancing to ‘Back in Black’ from AC DC, I began to scrape the wallpaper down. Even though Tony wasn’t my biological father, we had a lot in common. We liked the same music, were intelligent and loved building things. He had his suit and I had my hover board. I only used it on the large campus, what can I say? I’m too lazy to walk all the time and it’s a lot faster.
It took me some time to convince the University council to allow me to use it, but it’s definitely a pro to be Tony Stark’s daughter. And I never broke something.
Well…except for the time one of the other students ran in my way. And the time the board had a malfunction. Oh, and the time…! Let’s not dwell on the past…right?
Either way. We had enough in common for him to be my real father. The only thing that wouldn’t fit, is that he actually wanted me. Sure, I was the one that practically begged him to adopt me, but he still chose me.
Being absorbed in my thoughts, I didn’t notice the handsome god entering my room.
“Midgard to (Y/N)?” He tapped my shoulder, making me spin around and threaten him with my spatula.
“Loki! What did you say about not surprising me?!” I took the spatula down and looked at him with wide eyes. “I tried to warn you, but you didn’t react.” Huffing I turned around and continued scrapping at the wall.
“Do you need to get that down?” He stood in the middle of my room, looking around.
“Yup. All four walls need to be bare.” I could barely finish before Loki snipped his fingers and the walls were naked.
“Can you also put those up on the wall?” I pointed at the wallpaper rolls, lying on the floor.
Snipping again, my walls were covered in the wallpaper and the rolls were gone.
“My ceiling should look like a sky full of stars.” I grinned at the men-I mean god, in front of me and he smirked. This time, he moved his hands around and a few seconds later, my ceiling was covered in blinking stars.
“Wow.” I looked around my room, more than happy with the result. “I thought they took all your magic?” He smirked at me. “They took enough from me so I can’t escape. But I can still teleport inside this place and I can use a little magic. Enough to help you redecorate your room.”
“Perfect! Come with me!” Taking his hand, I pulled him to the elevator and to the garage, where my new floor still waited.
“By the way, what is a ‘creep’?” Loki looked at me, confusion written all over his face. We were standing in the elevator, going down.
I couldn’t supress a snicker. “A person that kind of scares you, but…more like…I don’t even know. Google it.” “Google?” Face palming myself, I stepped out of the elevator, walking to the pyramid of floorboards.
“This needs to go up into my room.” Nodding, he snipped again and the pyramid vanished.
“Can I keep you?” I took his hand again and pulled him to the elevator. Instead of answering my, very serious question, he chuckled and followed me.
Upstairs he changed the floor for me and asked me if I needed anything else.
“Well…a bed would be nice. But all the shops are closed by now. Your magic is not enough to teleport things from a magazine or the internet into this room, is it?”
Loki shook his head.
“You can sleep in your father’s bed. His other half isn’t here right now.”
“Yuck no! I don’t want to know how many times the both of them had sex in there!” Chuckling at my response he walked out of my room.
“Wait! Can I sleep at yours tonight?” I leaned out the door, watching his back.
“Who says I don’t masturbate?”
“You probably do, but you’re not my father! That only makes it half as gross.”
“Be my guest!” He entered his room, leaving me grinning at the door to my room.
This is definitely going to be fun.

Hello and welcome to hell—I mean the Halloween AU because I mentioned vampires for Halloween and there are entirely not enough vampires in my fic.

Tiny!Steve runs a supernatural diner. He’s not a supernatural creature himself, but he finds that his asthma and other ailments are… eased when he’s around the supernatural. And he’s always loved a good, greasy burger, so why wouldn’t a ghoul or a goblin? Not to mention that he’s tired of every diner he and Bucky go to throwing them out after pointing to a ‘no supers allowed’ sign. And it works out for him in a big way; the supernatural creatures of Brooklyn love diner food. He has enough profit to start hiring people to help him work the grill and Bucky serve the customers within the first two weeks, and he definitely needs the help with all these hungry supernatural creatures ordering his lamb burgers and onion rings.

Of course, out of all the supernatural creatures that show up, they never really expect a vampire. Steve only realizes that something is amiss when the diner slowly falls silent. He peeks out into the dining room to see that everyone is staring out the window, hushed, and even Bucky looks spooked. Then apparently the vampire leaves because everyone slowly relaxes and conversation starts buzzing again. He asks Bucky about it later, and the werewolf looks kind of confused, as if he doesn’t quite know how to explain. “Vampires are solitary,” he finally explains. “Most of ‘em, anyway. Some have nests, but the older ones… don’t like each other.” “So the vampire was old?” Steve asks curiously. Bucky stares at the wall pensively. “Felt like it,” he finally answers after some thought.

The vampire comes by several times and makes the diner hush, but they never actually come inside. Steve can only take so much. He doesn’t like his loyal customers being terrified every night. It’s bad for digestion. Also Steve has never backed down from a fight in his life and he’s not going to start now especially if Bucky’s gonna be a BIG FUCKIN’ PANSY and hide inside with everyone else. (“Legit how has nothing eaten this kid yet,” a specter asks Bucky, and Bucky shrugs because honestly it beats him how Steve is still in one piece in general when he wants to fight everything and their mother.)

Steve zeros in on the vampire because there’s literally no one else outside. “What do you want?!” he snaps, and the vampire stops talking to itself, flinching, before turning toward him. “What do you mean?” “I mean you keep showing up, scaring my customers, and leaving,” Steve explains angrily, because how doesn’t this vampire know? “Do you do it for kicks? I just want you to know that if you say yes I’m morally obligated to kick your fucking ass.” The vampire squirms uncomfortably before stepping into the light from the diner. He’s very handsome but that’s not going to stop Steve from punching him in his stupid face. “I was just checking if you’d changed the sign,” he explains miserably.

Steve actually pauses. What. What does that even mean. “If I changed the sign,” he repeats slowly. The vampire motions at the blinking neon OPEN sign, looking defeated. “I just—everyone says you’ve got the best food and you’re supernatural-friendly, so I thought—but I guess you don’t allow vampires. But that’s okay,” he adds hurriedly when Steve’s mouth drops open. “I wouldn’t want to—ruin the atmosphere of your diner. I’ll just go.” “But I’m not,” Steve begins, but finds he’s talking to thin air. “…That would be discrimination,” Steve finishes quietly, shoulders hunching a little.

“Oh,” Bucky says when Steve tells him what happened. “Shit.” “Oh shit what?” Steve asks sharply, because he doesn’t want to ever be accused of discriminating against any creature that just wants a goddamn burger again. “You have to—they need to be welcomed,” Bucky explains. “They can’t enter a place unless they’re invited inside.” “THAT’S IT,” Steve exclaims angrily. “He’s been creeping because I don’t have a fucking welcome mat?!” “Hey,” Bucky snaps in response. “He didn’t ask to be like that, Steve.” Steve wilts. That’s right. No supernatural creature asked to have quirks that made their lives harder.

Steve purchases a little cardboard sign that says ‘Welcome! We’re open!’ with a little smiley face on it to put in the door even though it’s probably too late. He honestly feels a little terrible. The poor guy just wanted a burger and he couldn’t even come inside to get one. No matter how old and dangerous he was, he should have been welcomed inside. No one ever said anything about Bucky, or Natasha, or Bruce, and they were all plenty dangerous. It’s not like the vampire could bejewel everyone in the diner. No vampire was that powerful. “It’s called beguiling or compulsion, Steve,” Bucky deadpans. “Don’t call it bejeweling in front of a vampire. I won’t save you when they rip your head off.” Steve knows Bucky would step in and he seriously considers calling it bejeweling to the next vampire he meets.

A terrified hush falls over the dining room a few weeks later and Steve peeks out of the kitchen. The vampire has come into the diner. Everyone looks terrified, even Bucky. But the vampire pays them no mind, peering around the diner for an empty booth and, not finding one, instead moving to sit at the bar. The harpies on a date skitter to the opposite side of the bar from him in terror, but the vampire doesn’t look at them, instead perusing the little menu card Steve keeps at each bar stool. No one is moving to serve him. Steve pauses a moment to think about how useless supernatural creatures are before he comes out of the kitchen and grabs the pad from his apron. “Hi! What can I getcha?”

The vampire doesn’t speak for a long time, and Steve considers repeating himself, but it doesn’t seem like he’s being willfully ignored. Still, it’s annoying to wait. “…A cheeseburger,” the vampire says slowly. “Beef, turkey, lamb, or veggie?” Steve answers immediately. The vampire drags his eyes up from the menu, frowning, and the hair on the back of Steve’s neck stands on end, having to meet eyes older than him—perhaps older than his parents and grandparents. “…Beef,” the vampire answers. “As pink as you can make it.” “Alright,” Steve replies. “Swiss, cheddar, pepper jack, American, or provolone?” The vampire says nothing, thinking. Steve fears that he’ll be there until they open the next day. He hasn’t even asked the vampire about sides or a drink yet.

The vampire eats as slowly as he orders. The late night crowd has thinned out and Steve’s pretty sure it’s not just because of the vampire sitting at the counter making things tense—it’s getting very near closing time. “Is it rude to tell him he needs to leave when we close?” Steve whispers to Bucky. Bucky opens his mouth, but it’s the vampire who answers, “I’ll be finished by then,” making them both jump and yelp. Still, he doesn’t hurry, and Steve is sincerely beginning to doubt the vampire’s word as they clean up around him. However, as they finish mopping up, the vampire hands over his empty plate. There isn’t even any ketchup on it. “What,” Steve says, but when he looks up the vampire is already halfway out the door, and he’s left a crisp hundred dollar bill on the counter.

They don’t see the vampire again for a month. Steve remembers his order because it had taken so fucking long to decide on it, so he hopefully says, “A beef patty with cheddar, waffle fries, and a strawberry milkshake?” The vampire looks down at the menu, lips pursed. “…Not tonight.” Steve nearly weeps and hopes that Clint will pull the fucking fries so they don’t burn this time. Again, Tony eats like a fucking tortoise, hands over a gleaming-clean plate just before closing, and leaves a crisp hundred dollar bill on the counter while Steve and Bucky stare at this fucking plate they watched him pour ketchup onto the plate for his home-cut fries.

Eventually, the vampire comes enough that the diner stops going silent when he arrives. Still, everyone nearly faints when a young swamp monster running up and down the length of the diner bashes into the vampire’s leg and flops backward onto their diapered-butt. The mother swamp monster actually prepares herself to die protecting her child. But the vampire just squats in front of the sniffling tot, pats them on the head. “There, there. You’re alright. Sorry my stupid leg got in your way.” The swamp monster giggles reluctantly and wipes their eyes. “Maybe you shouldn’t run without looking where you’re going though. You might hurt someone. I can tell you’re going to be big and strong, so you’ll have to be more careful.” The swamp monster nods, grinning a gummy smile. “If your mother’s alright with it, would you like to join me for a scoop of ice-cream?” The tot’s head whips around, and their mother looks mightily concerned, but she also doesn’t want to insult a vampire, so she nods.

The young swamp monster finishes their scoop of chocolate and helps the vampire finish his scoop of vanilla, babbling all the while in swamp monster speak. Typically only other swamp monsters understood, but the vampire nodded along seriously and asked questions that the tot continued to answer. The vampire was probably much older than anyone had previously thought if he could understand the nuances of swamp monster speech. “Creepy,” Bucky mutters after they’ve gone to bed. “It’s creepy. Something so old shouldn’t exist.” “Don’t be rude,” Steve slurs into his chest. “He could have killed that kid and he didn’t.” “Oh boy, the bare minimum of decency.” “You thought he was going to kill you because you turn into a giant wolf on the full moon.” Bucky sighs.

Everything’s fine until one night the vampire arrives, eyes red, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth, staining his mussed-up shirt. The diner goes silent and cold as he walks toward the bar, and he lifts his hand to wipe his mouth idly as he looks at the menu. “…Can I just have a glass of milk?” The fuck you can, Steve wants to say, but wordlessly gets him his drink. Tony drinks it in three long gulps, sets the glass down, and leaves as quickly as he’d come.

There’s a crisp one hundred dollar bill next to the glass.

Who You Belong To

Description:  Jungkook has noticed you flirting with Taehyung for quite awhile and has finally decided you need to be reminded of who you belong to.

Pairing: Jungkook x Reader

Genre: Smut

Word Count: 8647

Warning: Dom!Jungkook, daddy kink, spanking, minor breath play, thigh riding, hair pulling, punishment, possessiveness

A/N: This is a happy birthday present to @avveh who has been my sounding board for literally every one of these fics.  She helps come up with general plots (what little plots I have in these smuts), what kinks to throw in, even some of the dirty talk, so of course I owed her a birthday present full of her favorite things.

The entire idea for this smut started between the two of us when the Bangtan Bomb for Sope-me was released.  We are possessive smut trashy fangirls and created an entire scenario based on the moment Jungkook got water and looked at something with, what interpreted as, a jealous look.  This is the kind of friendship we have.  We feed each other’s delusions.

chemistry of an alpha - Derek Hale one shot *smut*

Summary: You didn’t avoid Derek Hale because you wanted to. But what else can you do when you’re falling for your Alpha?

Pairing: Derek Hale x reader

Rating: Mature for heavy swearing, graphic sexual content

“Ahem.”

You looked up from your Chemistry homework as you heard a cough behind you. Derek Hale was leaning against your doorway with his head cocked to the side, staring at you thoughtfully. You rolled your eyes and resumed your schoolwork, already knowing why he was here.

“Go away,” you mumbled.

“No, I’m good right here,” he announced. You ignored him.

A few beats of silence passed.

“[y/n],” he pressed. You gave him nothing, absentmindedly scanning your notes.

Suddenly, you felt yourself being jerked backwards and around, coming face to face with your intruder.

“What the hell?” you rebuked.

“That’s better,” Derek chimed. “Now, tell me what’s wrong.”

“I don’t know what you mean,” you deadpanned, somewhat surprised you could still deflect his questions, given his persistence. Then again, you were always good at avoiding things, a skill useful for dodging the rest of the pack’s investigation. You didn’t back down when Scott offered to give you a ride home just as an excuse to prod you, when Isaac cornered you at your locker with his sad puppy eyes, or even when Allison tried to literally hug information out of you.

You crossed your arms over your chest and stared stonily at Derek, unimpressed by his interrogation tactics.

You couldn’t even process the next few seconds as he swiftly grabbed the arm of your swivel chair and abruptly pulled you towards him, backtracking to your bed. He sat down so you were eye-level.

Your eyebrows nearly disappeared into your hairline.

“Let’s try that again,” Derek enunciated slowly. You crinkled your nose at him because what the fuck is his problem?

“What the fuck is your problem?”

“What the fuck is your problem?” Derek scoffed. “Even without the pack telling me you’ve been weird and distant lately, it’s obvious you’re not yourself.”

You cursed inwardly. The pack had ratted you out. You shouldn’t be surprised since everyone basically flocked to Mommy Derek at the first sign of trouble. They were cute that way.

“Still,” you huffed, shifting uncomfortably in your seat under Derek’s scrutiny. “You didn’t have to manhandle me–”

“Just tell me what’s up,” Derek continued nonchalantly, glossing over your complaint. “Your heart’s beating really fast and you’ve reeked of anxiety for days. If there’s a problem, you’re supposed to tell me. I’m your Alpha.”

Goosebumps rose along your spine at his words. I’m your Alpha. The phrase echoed in your mind. It manifested in images of Derek whispering it in your ear while he fingered you from behind, rasping it out while he held your head down to fuck your mouth. You closed your eyes, frustrated by how much Derek’s authority affected you. Fucking Alpha.

“Excuse me?”

Your eyes shot open. You hadn’t meant to say that out loud.

“No! I–that wasn’t, um…” you stuttered, fumbling for ways to reverse this conversation, reverse time itself. But there was nothing you could do. Your mind went blank, not granting your mouth any usable intelligence. You felt pressure in your brain, like a blood clot that would explode if you didn’t say something soon.

In a surge of word vomit, you hurriedly blurted out, “IthinkI’minlovewithyou.”

And that’s when things came to a screeching halt. So much for deflection. Smooth move, genius.

Derek looked baffled as his shoulders elevated in tension, eyes the size of saucers.

“You’re… what?” Derek brows furrowed, seemingly searching your face for any cues that you were joking or high.

If only. Fuck it, nothing you say at this point could make this any worse.

“I think I’m in love with you,” you enunciated carefully. “Or–it could be something else. I don’t know. I’ve never felt this way before and it’s really freaking me out. I didn’t know what to do, so I just avoided you. And the pack. And just all of it, in general,” you rambled, wringing your hands together.

In response, Derek’s mouth parted slightly, his two front teeth peeking out like he was about to say something, but retreated again.

And then emerged the quintessential Derek frown. He was so adorable when he was mad, even when you were the reason.

“Look, [y/n],” Derek coughed, continuing sternly. “You don’t have to… explain. It’s okay to be confused. I’m not–I’m not mad at you.”

It was comforting that he was also stuttering over his words. Meanwhile, you tried not to swoon at how young and boyish he sounded when he was frazzled. But why wasn’t he more freaked out. He should’ve at least been a little angry. It usually took less than this to set him off.

“You should be mad!” you assured. “Get mad. I totally deserve it. For avoiding you, then lying about it. And for… being in love with you? Because I know what you’re thinking, these teenagers and their hormones,” you said gruffly, wincing as you accidentally did a poor impression of Derek. He raised his palm up incredulously, communicating that yes, you should indeed be embarrassed.

This was getting out of hand. You were all over the place and the more you tried to clarify, the more agitated Derek seemed to become.

“This is ridiculous. I don’t know what I’m saying. I’m too young for you and I need to stop kidding myself. I know that… I know,” your voice strained. You weren’t sure what burned more, your cheeks or the stinging behind your eyes.

The truth is, you did have feelings for Derek. And it was rather terrifying.

Because it would be obvious to anyone that Derek Hale was the perfect human specimen, with his tall, burly frame and Greek God jawline, armored in leather jackets and boots. That was your first impression when you met him. You, on the other hand, must have looked disastrous.

Before the pack and Derek, you were in a foster care system that left you abused and broken. When you decided to run away, you had no prospects or money. It was Derek that had found you, lost and dying in the woods. All you saw were sharp teeth and red eyes before you blacked out.

When you’d woken up, you were warm and safe. He had given you the bite, but also so much more. He had taken you under his wing and polished you off, given you guidance and shelter. It took a while to trust him, but when you did, he promised to turn you from a scared runaway into a warrior. And he delivered.

He introduced you to the pack, the family you never had. He taught you how to defend yourself, showing you strength you only dreamed about. But he also told you to use the bite to help other people, that power didn’t have to be destructive.

When you were human, you cowered away from people, fading into the background. You couldn’t trust anyone, couldn’t even trust yourself. But with Derek’s help, you learned to fight, speak your mind, and trust your instincts.

And therein lies the problem. Every time you were around Derek, every instinct in your body told you to jump his bones. You physically ached for him, your body buzzing with anxiety whenever you tried to stifle your need.

It wasn’t even just the physical stuff. Underneath his tough exterior, Derek had a heart of gold. You’d seen enough cruelty to know that Derek was the opposite. He was the most generous person you’d ever known, sharing his home with a bunch of misfit teenagers, nursing lost puppies back to health.

Even though Derek had rescued you, he’d never indicated that he was remotely attracted to you. He just regarded you as another annoying Beta through lectures and demands. Every once in a while, if you reached a new milestone, socially or physically, he would pull you into an awkward hug or stiffly pat your head while you tried to cough away your laughter.

It was obvious he would never return your feelings, so you spent an embarrassingly large portion of day figuring out ways to avoid Derek, which led to avoiding the pack because they were always together. But attendance was required at pack meetings, so you sat as far away from everyone as possible and looked down the whole time, only speaking when directly addressed.

Everyone was bound to notice your strange behavior eventually. You just didn’t expect Derek to confront you about it directly, assuming he wasn’t into pack drama.

Once again, you’d underestimated his capacity to care.

And judging from the way he was clenching his fists and gazing a hole into his jeans, apparently he’d underestimated your capacity to complicate his life.

The last thing you wanted to was to make things harder for Derek, but this confrontation resulted in exactly that.

“Look, let’s just pretend this didn’t happen, alright? Everyone has psychotic episodes sometimes,” you laughed nervously. “I won’t avoid you anymore–unless you want me too. I’ll leave you alone. Or, should I move out? Yeah, I’m going to move out. I’ll just go now, sorry.”

Without even looking at Derek, you rushed to your door, wiping the dew that had gathered at the corner of your eyes. You reached for your doorknob, but staggered backwards as you felt a hand close over your wrist. You yelped and closed your eyes as you gracelessly collided into something solid.

Your arms tucked into your chest, instinctively protecting you from the impact. You opened your eyes when you felt a breath fan over your forehead, and realized that Derek had you cradled against his chest with an arm locked around your back.

“Derek, what–”

“You’re not going anywhere,” he grunted as he slammed his lips to yours.

Your went catatonic with shock, body rigid in Derek’s arms.

You were in Derek’s arms. Derek Hale’s arms in that blue Henley shirt that felt so soft and warm against you and his mouth, full and moist, pressing against yours–

You were broken out of your trance when you felt Derek’s wet tongue graze your chapped bottom lip. Oh.

You unfolded your arms and threw them around his neck, lunging forward to finally comply with his movements. Your tongue snaked out to meet his, eagerly applying pressure and then retreating again, battling then teasing. Derek signaled that your efforts were fruitful as he growled into the your mouth, the sound traveling from the back of his throat to your core.

It was all dueling tongues and gnashing teeth. Of course this is how Derek would kiss, intense and ardent, almost clinical in the way he switched between squeezing your hip and biting your lip.

And then oxygen was becoming an issue. Your body felt warm, too warm. Too much was happening too fast. You placed your palms against Derek’s chest, using all your strength to shove him away.

He faltered backwards, a look of astonishment twisting his features.

“What the hell?” he asked. He glared at you, but you could only focus on his chest as it heaved up and down, trying to calm your own breathing.

“Are we doing this?” you asked, voice wavering with emotion. “Because you’re still my Alpha. And I’m still a teenager.”

“You’re 18,” Derek deadpanned.

“I’m still in high school!” Derek’s gaze softened as you raised your voice.

You just couldn’t just rush into this. This was too important. You needed to know Derek’s intentions, because you didn’t just want a hurried groping session, a one night stand. You wanted all of it, all of him. Anything less would just cheapen your feelings.

For once, you actually believed that you deserved better than a guy just using you and throwing you away. And this is what Derek taught you, to stand up for yourself. It’s not that you believed Derek would take advantage of you; you just needed some confirmation that this was real.

“I know that,” Derek approached you again. You promptly straightened out your back, trying to hold your ground.

But your voice betrayed you, folding under the weight of your next question, “Then, why did you kiss me?”

“Because I don’t care anymore. I can’t keep pretending there’s nothing here,” he confessed, reaching up to tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear, delicately caressing your forehead in his path. You leaned into his palm.

“Oh… wait, then, what are you saying?”

Derek exhaled.

“I mean… I don’t know. It wasn’t always like this. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I always knew you were strong, I knew it the moment I found you. Then one day, something changed. You changed. You weren’t that same girl anymore. All of a sudden, you became this intelligent, self-possessed, beautiful young woman. And I couldn’t just keep patting your head and pretending things were still normal between us.”

You bit your lip and looked down.

“So, it’s not just me, then? You felt it too?” you asked shyly, too afraid to look at him.

Derek nudged your chin upwards with his knuckle, using his thumb to stroke your jaw.

“Definitely.” He granted you a small smirk, his eyes twinkling.

That was all the confirmation you needed as you charged forward to press your lips against his and snaked your arms around his waist, pulling him flush against you. Derek responded immediately by fisting your hair and cupping your jaw, enveloping you into his warm embrace.

You felt around for the hem of his shirt, lifting the edge of the material. Derek pulled away as you raised it over his head and threw it aside. You panted while you took him in, admiring the smattering of dark chest hair that decorated the hard planes of his chest. The rest of him was smooth, aside from a treasure trail that disappeared behind his jeans.

In a surge of confidence, you decided you wanted him to see you too. You stepped back and lifted your tank top over your head, leaving you only in a red bra.

You heard Derek inhale a sharp breath. You were slightly disappointed when he maintained eye contact with you, the veins in his neck straining against his skin, like he was still trying to be respectful.

You walked towards him and grabbed his wrist, guiding his palm between the valley of your breasts. You eyelids fluttered shut as Derek’s hand slowly drifted down your torso, fingertips grazing the sensitive skin just below your belly button.

“I’ve wanted this for so long,” you admitted airily. “I finally have you.”

“God, you’re so beautiful.” Derek’s said, voice gruff with earnestness. No one had every spoken to you this way.

You felt your chest flush as you scoffed, whispering, “Not as beautiful as you.”

When you opened your eyes, Derek was looking at you somberly. He reached forward and brushed your hair away from your face and kissed you tenderly, much softer than before. You were pliant against him, curving and arching into him every time he moved. Your hands found his hips, squeezing the defined flesh before you started to unbuckle his belt.

You palmed Derek over his boxers, his hips bucking involuntarily into your hand as he groaned into your mouth. Pulling away, you trailed your mouth over his jaw and neck, sponging open mouthed kisses down his chest and abdomen until you were on your knees, eye-level with his erection.

“[y/n], you don’t have to,” Derek protested. He palmed your jaw upwards to look at you. You grinned up at him.

“I know,” you said, slowly stroking him. “I’ve just always wanted to know what it’s like to suck off Derek Hale.”

You gave no warning before you took the head of his shaft fully into your mouth. You watched Derek throw his head back and hiss.

“Fuck, [y/n],” Derek cursed. He reached down and placed a comforting hand on the back of your head, his fingers combing through your hair.

Any sort of encouragement was highly appreciated at this point, because even looking at Derek’s cock was intimidating. You weren’t exactly surprised by his considerable size, especially since his bulge always gave him away. But nothing you’d imagined could’ve prepared you for the real thing.

Noticing the prominent vein underneath his shaft, you lifted his cock vertically. You satisfied your urge to kiss him along the feature, trailing your mouth up to his tip.

“What are you doing? Are you… fuck, that’s so hot,” Derek complimented, his tone gravelly. You smirked, looking up at him through your lashes.

“You’re too pretty not to kiss,” you teased, but it was completely true. You licked a stripe up his shaft. Taking a deep breath, you stretched your mouth open as far as you could, taking in all of him. Or really, as much as possible, which was about half. You pumped the remaining portion, palm twisting up and down.

“Oh my god, [y/n], where the fuck did you learn to do that?”

You giggled. “What, this?”

Gripping Derek’s thighs to anchor you forward, you bobbed your head back and forth, sucking him off while you continued to stroke him.

Derek’s responded with a fist tangling in your hair, guiding your head against him.

It was turning you on so much that you were affecting Derek that you slipped a hand into your shorts, rubbing yourself over your underwear.

You reminded yourself to breathe through your nose while Derek filled you. Derek Hale was inside of you and nothing else could ever be this important.

You couldn’t help but moan against Derek’s cock as you pleasured yourself, using your other hand to fondle his balls. Profanities tumbled incoherently from his lips as your moans vibrated against him.

You stopped suddenly when you felt him tug your hair backwards. Derek fell out of your mouth with a little pop! as you pulled away. Derek grasped your shoulders and pulled you up to stand.

“If you keep doing that, I’m not gonna be able to hold back,” Derek warned, pressing his forehead against yours. He affectionately stroked your cheek with him thumb.

You felt giddy, beaming with delight and a twinge of pride.

“Who says I want you to hold back?”

You could’ve sworn you saw Derek’s eyes flash red.

“Trust me, sweetheart. I could make you regret those words.” Derek’s voice was rough and scratchy, the tone sending shivers up your spine.

“You sure about that? Let’s find out,” you challenged, the thought of Derek dominating you jolting your senses.

Derek softly chuckled. “Let’s save that for next time.”

Next time. Derek wanted a next time.

“Right now, I want you to undress.”

Your mouth went dry at his command. There was that authority you loved so much.

Hooking your thumbs into your waistband, you bent over and slid the material down your legs, stepping out of them. You were now clad only in a pair of black panties and a red bra. You passively regretted your choice to forego matching underwear.

But Derek didn’t seem to mind as he blatantly stared at your legs, giving you a once over. He walked towards you, staring directly into your eyes.

You whimpered when Derek’s thumb pressed to your bottom lip, folding the flesh under, the gesture prompting you to part your mouth.

“So beautiful,” he whispered. He leaned forward to kiss you, slowly and softly. This was a sharp contrast to the way he suddenly swooped down, still attached to your mouth. You yelped at his sudden movements, arms wrapping intuitively around his neck. He grabbed the back of your thighs to lift you up into his arms.

He held you to him as he started walking, an arm locked around your waist, the other grasping your neck to keep you in place. You were ridiculously turned on that he could carry you so effortlessly.

Derek descended and you felt your knees touch the mattress. He sat down with you in his lap. You continued exploring his mouth, your hands trailing his back. You scorched his shoulder blades with scratches you knew would heal seconds later.

Your actions elicited a grunt from Derek, who was also engrossed with your back. You felt the rough pads of his calloused fingertips knead forcefully, his aggression causing you to arch away in bliss. With a tweak of his fingers, you felt him undo your bra.

You broke away, observing Derek while you nervously slid your bra straps down your arms, your hands shaking. Derek’s tongue flicked out against his lips as he admired you, his immediate reaction easing your worries. He wasted no time, littering kisses down your chest, palming your breasts. You threw your head back and moaned.

“You’re so perfect, sweetheart,” Derek rasped as he nuzzled your neck. You felt over-stimulated with Derek rubbing you and kissing you simultaneously. Needing to relieve tension, you involuntarily started grinding on Derek’s lap, pressing your panty-covered sex over Derek’s thick erection.

You moved together, Derek guiding you back and forth with his hands on your ass and lips on your collarbone. You clung to his broad shoulders for support.

When Derek suddenly bit down on the juncture between your neck and shoulder, you gasped in pain and surprise. You were already healing. The gesture actually felt intimate and romantic instead of violent, a throwback to the first bite Derek ever gave you. Even now, when you were tangled in his limbs, he seemed afraid that you would slip away.

“Mine,” he whispered into your neck.

He was trying to mark you.

“All yours, always been,” you promised.

You burrowed your face into his neck, returning his affection by lapping at his skin, not feeling brave enough to bite your Alpha.

“Please, Derek,” you pleaded, trying to communicate your desire.

“Shh,” he murmured. “Don’t worry, I got you.”

Giving your ass one final squeeze, he slid his fingers into your underwear, spreading your wetness along your slit. In response, you dug your fingernails into his shoulders as you desperately rode his hand, your desire becoming frantic.

Suddenly, he pulled his hand away. You whimpered at the loss of contact, but then cried out when Derek slipped your panties to the side and entered you in one swift motion.

“Fuck!” you exclaimed as Derek filled you to the hilt. After letting you adjust, he moved slowly, holding onto your hips as he glided in and out. You felt his cock stretch your walls, clenching your thighs every time his tip grazed your g-spot. Derek was everywhere, around you and inside you.

His hands were restless, alternating between gripping your hips and tugging at your hair. His teeth grazing against your nipple left you a squirming mess above him. You cradled his face and leaned forward to kiss him. Arching your back, you gave your hips leeway to meet Derek’s movements.

“That’s it, baby. Ride me,” Derek urged.

His command rang in your ears. It thrilled you that Derek was giving you control.

You braced some of your weight on your knees, ascending from Derek’s lap. Using his shoulder’s for leverage, you raised yourself just until you reached his tip, then slammed your hips back down. You picked up your pace, trying to match Derek’s earlier momentum.

“Is this how you want me?”

Derek growled his approval.

His encouragement made you feel sexy and wanted even in your fervid state. You could hear the distinct slap of your ass against Derek’s thighs reverberate through the expanse of your bedroom. The assault from Derek’s mouth left your chest decorated with red bruises. Your breasts bounced in rhythm with your exertions.

One of Derek’s hands gripped the flesh of your ass. The other reached behind you to clamp down on your shoulder, helping you descend down his enlarged shaft.

“Are you close to coming?” he asked. He reasoned with you so calmly that you were actually embarrassed by just how close you were. You felt a knot tighten just below your stomach and you knew you would burst soon.

You couldn’t even formulate an coherent response, resorting to just emphatically nodding your head.

He relinquished his hold, reaching down to rub your clit. His rough fingertips fervently moved against your sensitive nub, the stimulation breaking your rhythm. Derek took over again as he wrapped an arm around your waist to hold up your thrashing form as he pounded into you.

“Derek… Derek!”

You cried out as your walls contracted, your eyes screwing shut as you reached your orgasm. A few erratic pumps later, Derek was joining you at your peak. You climaxed together, him groaning into your chest while you hung on to his shoulders.

Your body shook as you came down from your high, your head hung low on Derek’s shoulder. Your body felt so numb, you couldn’t even figure out where you ended and he began. Your sweat, breath, even skin seemed to melt together. Derek rocked you back and forth in his lap, combing his fingers through your hair and cooing mantras of “shhh” and “I’m here, baby” into your ear.

Derek did what he always does–he took care of you.

“So,” you mumbled, finally breaking the silence. “That just happened.”

Derek snorted.

“Hey, [y/n]?”

“Hmm?”

You sat up to look at Derek.

“I’m in love with you, too.”

You merely blinked at Derek’s admission, completely caught off guard. Were you still delirious from your orgasm or did Derek Hale just say he loves you?

What?”

“You heard me,” Derek quipped, avoiding your gaze, opting instead to fiddle with a strand of your hair.

“But… you know you don’t have to say that, right?” you nudged his face to look at you. “I know we just had sex, but I didn’t put out to force you into saying ‘I love you’ back. Like I said, I don’t even know for sure if I love you–”

“That’s fine,” Derek interrupted you, cracking a smile. “Really, it’s okay. I still love you. And you can say it back when you’re ready. I can wait for that.”

“Really?” you asked shyly.

“Of course,” he rolled your eyes, his attitude evoking a giggle from you.

“Aww, what a sweet Alpha,” you playfully taunted as you ruffled his hair.

Derek immediately stiffened, his hand lashing to grab your wrist mid-ruffle.

“You know what? I take it back,” Derek heckled, smirking. “I don’t love you.”

Your jaw dropped at his quip. You were sitting in Derek Hale’s lap, naked, while he made flirty banter. You faced murderous supernatural creatures on a daily basis and this was the most bizarre moment of your life.

“Is that so?” You squinted your eyes at him. “Well then, I’ll just have to find myself new man. Actually, I think Scott just came home, and since he’s the true Alpha–”

Derek suddenly grabbed the back of your neck and pulled you forward, pressing his lips to yours in an impassioned kiss. You smiled against his mouth, slightly entertained by his possessive nature. Even though your favorite werewolf couldn’t take a joke, you wouldn’t change a thing.

Derek Hale was finally yours.

Aedion pushed open the door to the ice cream parlor, basking in the chilled AC air that all but slapped him in the face.

It was only the beginning of summer, and yet the temperature was already blazing hot. He almost felt like the heat was suffocating him when he stepped outside. The moment he stepped out the door, sweat coated his skin.

Then again, he probably shouldn’t have complained. He had been talking to Aelin the night before and it was apparently twice as hot in Italy.

Aedion took a moment to glance around the ice cream parlor. It was booming with people. Families, teenagers, old couples. Everyone was out and about, stopping by to enjoy a cold scoop of ice cream on the insanely hot day.

He was supposed to be meeting Fenrys there before they headed to the pond for a swim. But Fenrys him already messaged him saying he was running a bit late. Still, Aedion couldn’t help but look around, hoping he was going to be able to snatch up a table or booth to sit down in. But they were all full.

That’s when he saw her.

You woke up the day after you sent Jeon your thanks for the previous night’s escapade, not an inkling of a hangover because you didn’t drink. You almost wished you had, though, because at least then you could blame your actions on your tipsy brain and not your very alert and well-aware mind.

But no, you weren’t under any kind of influence when you let Jeon Jungkook tug apart your legs and eat you out like a man starved, and you were definitely in your right mind when you got home and stripped down and took the most flattering picture you could take before sending it to him. You had no idea what consequences your decisions would reap but you were only hoping that, if anything, nothing would change.

But in the days that followed your exchange of… intimate media with Jeon Jungkook, however, it was as though he was everywhere you went.

In the supermarket when you were picking up broccoli after Jennie read an article about college students not eating enough greens — in the coffee shop on campus before one of your lectures, where he stole one of your muffins and left you only with a cheeky grin and a fleeting kiss on the cheek (you try not to linger on how almost romantic that particular run-in was), and more that included the campus library and the park as just a few.

He didn’t try to push anything — he didn’t ask for a kiss, or another picture, or try and coerce you into another night together. It almost seemed as if you’d reached a ceasefire with your little game. Maybe your whole fiasco with Namjoon, and Jungkook’s favour, and your repayment had brought you both to a common ground of some sort. You didn’t fight to make him lose control and he didn’t fight to make you squirm in the best way possible.

It seemed more domestic than whatever it was you had signed up for, yet — and you weren’t about to admit it to anyone — you didn’t mind it.

The dryer vibrates underneath you, making your body shake with every spin of the drum. Your legs kicked back and forth, ears plugged with music and eyes shut tiredly. It’s Saturday morning, the Saturday of a boring and draining week that you were ecstatic was finally over. Unfortunately, sleeping in was to be left for tomorrow — after fighting to find clothes to wear on Wednesday through Friday, you reluctantly admitted that you needed a visit to the laundromat. So here you are, dressed in day-old sweatpants and a gigantic hoodie, flip-flops hanging off your feet at 9:47 on a Saturday.

There’s only a few others here; and old lady washing bunches of blankets, a middle-aged man stuffing what looks suspiciously like a body pillow into the dryer, a fellow college student almost falling asleep leaning on the washing machines.

You, yourself, settled onto the dryer seconds after turning it on, propping your head against the wall behind you. The melodious sound of Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar was doing a good job of lulling you to sleep, pulling you deeper and deeper into dreamland…

You don’t know how long you had drifted off for, but when you wake up you’re leaning against something warm and distinctly alive that was definitely not there before. Cautiously, you lift your head from what you can tell is a shoulder, eyes trailing up to meet the eyes of—

“Jeon Jungkook,” you state groggily, eyes narrowing as you yank your earphones from your ears. “What do you think you’re doing, creep?”

“Don’t thank me,” he replies smoothly, not looking up from his phone. “I put a second load in the dryer for you. Cute panties, by the way.“

"You pervert—!"

"I’m kidding,” he scoffs, a grin tugging at his cheeks as you punch his shoulder roughly. He grabs your shoulders jokingly in an effort to push you away, his giggles unconsciously making you laugh yourself. “I’m not disgusting."

"Yeah, you are,” you murmur, smirking as you settle back into your position. His shoulder is strangely comfy and he smells nice, too… What detergent does he use?

“When did you even get here?“

"Like twenty minutes ago.” He shrugs. “You were about to fall over so I made the ultimate sacrifice and gave up my shoulder for you."

"Gee,” you began sarcastically, “Thanks."

"I know,” he says, nodding. You watch in interest as he pockets his phone, finally leaving you both with nothing else except the dryer underneath you and the wall against your backs. “If I was a bad person I’d ask for a payment…"

"Payment,” you chortle. “I gave you payment enough just days ago. Or do you not remember?"

"Ah.” His voice takes on a darker, more mischievous tone and you can’t see it but you can imagine that he’s licked his lips. You roll your eyes at his typical fuckboy behaviour. “I remember quite clearly."

"Good,” you agree, lifting your head from his shoulder and slipping from the dryer once it stops shaking. “Because that’s the only one you’re getting."

"Only one I need, baby.” Another shrug, and he leans back and watches you with those darkened eyes and sharp jaw and cheeky smile as you pull your clothes from the dryer.

He walks you home that day, carrying most of your clothes because you complained about your arms hurting and apparently he skipped gym this week, so he deserved it. It’s another oddly domestic encounter, with Jungkook carrying your laundry basket and cracking jokes, and more than just you can definitely see that, if the glances you were receiving as you walk across campus were anything to go off.

You could never truly escape your own thoughts. Even when something wasn’t particularly bothering you your mind would conjure an essay (or two) on why you couldn’t possibly relax until everything was certain.

And at the moment, your mind was pushing your thoughts to two fronts. On one end, you were beating yourself up for the decisions you’d made in the past month (or in the past few months, more like), chastising yourself because whatever inkling of fondness that you were aware was growing for Jeon Jungkook in your chest was not good news. You were so torn between wanting them to stop and not minding when they grew.

On the other end, you were quite… satisfied with where you were going. You (using the term very lightly) liked Jungkook (a bit, you guess) and you were certain that he liked you. He was a devil with his mouth and his hips could go at speeds you didn’t think were possible — and when his fingers pressed against your throat? Yes, please. He was the best lay you’ve had in weeks. You were just uncertain as to how long he could entertain himself with you for, and if you could handle whatever feelings were sprouting inside you before he inevitably broke things off.

Jeon Jungkook was Jeon Jungkook, after all, and you weren’t going to humour yourself with the idea of ‘taming’ him, or something along those lines — even though (and you would never admit it) you wanted to. You and Jungkook, despite your petty arguing and competitiveness, were compatible in a way that nobody else was to you. And that both irritated you and made your heart flutter, albeit reluctantly.

Trying to distract yourself once again, you switch on your phone, scrolling through your timeline boredly but itching to enter your chat with Jungkook again. The last thing that had been sent was your photo and message.

Every once in a while, when a post of his would pop up, you would humour yourself with rolling your eyes at every fake-deep caption and scoffing inwardly at his attempts at jokes (which are actually funny, but again, you weren’t about to admit that to anyone). The one post that draws the most attention from you is a completely black photo, but the caption is what interests you:

u ever wanted to b w someone so bad that u miss them even when uve spent most of ur time thinkin about them or with them?

Out of interest, your eyes flicker to the date the post was put up, only to recoil when you realised it was put up mere hours ago.

The first comments you see are from another one of Jungkook’s friends, Jung Hoseok. Sounds like love to me bro 👀👀.

Shit, u rite, Jungkook had replied, the words sending your heart into a frenzy. He couldn’t be… possibly… referring to you? Or was it all just wishful thinking?

But never mind what you decided it was, because quite literally a few seconds after contemplating the matter your phone buzzes, and an Instagram notification swings down onto the top of your screen.

goldenboi97 [12:41]: u up?

You bite your lip, wondering if you should reply and what with. It normally wasn’t this hard to talk to him but with the knowledge (or what you think is knowledge) of his feelings weighing down on your shoulders, you feel pressured to reply the way he expects you to reply — as if you should mould yourself into the person he sees you as.

Don’t be stupid, you chide to yourself as you tap to open the chat fully. If he likes you so much he’ll take what he’s given.

goldengirl [12:41]: its like midday y would i still b sleeping

goldenboi97 is typing… Your heart hammered and you shook your head, shaking your limbs to shake yourself from your funk. Why was it that when you weren’t directly with him the mere thought of him drowned you in your own nerves? Yet when you stood face to face it was like your brain forced you to become some confident, smooth-talking woman.

goldenboi97 [12:42]: idk, u might be tired after running thru my mind all day 😏

You huffed a laugh at the sheer corny-ness emanating from the text, rolling your eyes as you type out a reply.

goldengirl [12:43]: just wondering how many times youve used that line tbh

goldengirl [12:43]: Dont u get tired of tryna pick up girls. More specifically me

You tap out of the conversation, scrolling through your explore page once more, liking photos and tagging your friends in certain posts. You almost miss the notification from Jungkook that comes just a few minutes later.

goldenboi97 [12:44]: depends on if theyre u or not

goldenboi97 [12:46]: its fun to use pick up lines on u

goldenboi97 [12:46]: besides baby u love them

You stare at the screen for a second, trying to ignore the shiver sent up your spine at his pet name, or how he conveniently knew you that well.

goldengirl [12:48]: shut uppp

goldengirl [12:48]: u sound like a twelve year old

He must still be in the chat, because the little seen pops up immediately below your texts. Once again, goldenboi97 is typing appears just below it.

goldenboi97 [12:48]: im ur 12 year old

goldenboi97 [12:49]: aight that was cheesy ill show myself out

goldengirl [12:49]: yeah lmao

goldengirl [12:49]: its cute tho

Shit, shit, shit. You were absolutely not meant to type that. Your whole body seizes up and locks as you stare in horror at the three dots that tease you once more, before disappearing off of the page for a good minute until they make another appearance. In the meanwhile, your mind races with the possibilities of what he could be typing, or thinking.

goldengirl [12:50]: i mean like not in a romantic way in a completely platonic way

goldenboi97 [12:50]: youre adorable

goldenboi97 [12:50]: but i guess in a completely platonic and not at all romantic way at ALL

goldenboi97 [12:51]: not romantic. Nope

It takes everything you have to not squeal into your pillow at his insinuations. You’ve never been the type of girl to get so excited over a boy, nevermind the type of boy that Jungkook was, but you’re too preoccupied to care.

“What the fuck are you doing, Jeon,” Jungkook murmurs in frustration, a hand swiping up his face and through his hair. The source of his vexation stares back at him, illuminating his face with white light.

I kinda like u and i know what we’ve had has been exclusively sexual but idk. That’s what typed into his text bar, and the enter button is haunting him. God, the weight it’d take off his shoulders if he just sent the damn text, but contrary to popular belief, Jungkook did actually have fears: rejection from a girl he seriously likes is one of them.

“What’s wrong?” Taehyung speaks up from across the room, glancing up from his own phone. His head lifts from where it was resting on his hand and a teasing smile graces his lips. “You get curved?”

“Nah,” Jungkook mutters, flipping his phone between his hands. “About to though, probably.”

“Do tell,” Taehyung urges, plopping his phone down in a way that tells Jungkook that he isn’t going to be leaving until Taehyung knew every detail.

“Nothing to tell,” Jungkook grunts, shrugging nonetheless. “I’m trying to talk up this girl. She’s more than likely gonna turn me down.”

The thought made him sick. How was he supposed to tell you his feelings without sounding like a hypocritical idiot? How would he convince you to believe him?

God, a few months ago the idea of this would’ve made him laugh. It was always easy for him to pick up and drop girls like they were nothing — he had no clue of what was different about you but if the thoughts of you constantly plaguing his mind and the thumping of his heart when you were around was anything to go on, he was sure that he liked you. A lot.

“You seem more bothered with that than you should be.”

“Yeah,” Jungkook agrees, staring quietly at the sentence just waiting to be sent, his thumb hovering nervously over the enter button. “I am.”

(He doesn’t end up sending the message for one reason and one reason only: fear.)

“You and Jungkook seem to be chatting an awful lot,” Rose comments as another notification lights up your screen. You shrug, pretending to brush it off while you set your fork on the edge of your plate and reply to his text. “That’s it? A shrug?"

"What do you want?” You mumble distractedly, before you put your phone back and return to devouring your pancakes. “There’s nothing to tell.”

Rose’s eyes narrow as she reaches behind her to another table to steal their maple syrup, pouring a generous amount over her plate. “I’m just saying that it’s weird how you hated him just, like, three weeks ago."

"Yeah."

"And now you’re texting and stuff. I just don’t want you to get into something without knowing what’s really going on. You could get hurt."

"Thanks for caring,” you say sincerely, “but I’m a big girl. I know what I’m getting into."

She hums suspiciously, playing with her fork. "If this turns out bad I’m gonna tell you I told you so—"

"You ladies want anything else?” A voice asks suddenly, drawing your attention from Rose and her lecture. It’s a decently tall man, with tanned skin and a small nose and a beaming smile that’s much too bright for this time of morning. He looks weirdly familiar, but you try not to creep him out with staring. “Coffee? Extra pancakes?"

"Um, we’re good,” Rose replies nicely, smiling. She glances at you as you finish the last morsel of food on your plate. “Actually, can we get the bill?"

"Bill?” He echoes, a brow raising. He shakes his head, slyness slinking into his smile. You’re startled when his eyes settle on you. “For Kookie’s girl? It’s fine — on the house.” J

ung Hoseok — that’s why he was so bloody familiar looking. He was one of Jungkook’s buddies, close enough for Jungkook to think of him as a brother — but that wasn’t relevent at the moment when all you could think about is the odd mixture of elation, confusion, embarrassment and horror that takes control of your body.

“Me? Jungkook and I— we—” You splutter uselessly, gaping as Hoseok winks and begins to turn. “I am not Jeon Jungkook’s girl—!"

Rose places a hand over yours frantically. "Stop! We’re getting free breakfast!”

You deflate, pouting as Rose gathers her things before you too get ready to leave, head still swimming from what you were feeling.

(You coincidentally don’t confront the giddiness that you felt at the thought of being Jungkook’s, but that’s another story for another day.)

It feels like forever since Jungkook has actually attended a lecture. They weren’t mandatory for this class, after all, and with them being first thing in the morning he more often than not opted to sleep in rather than haul his ass to class. If it weren’t for Jin, actually, he’d still be in bed instead of a crowded lecture hall, filled to the brim with the tired, coffee-fueled zombies that were his fellow college students.

He’s slumped onto his desk, laptop bright and unused in front of him. Chatter drifted through the air with every minute that passed without the professor, and although he was sat beside friends and could spot many a familiar face within the room, he was too tired to begin a conversation. And he really wasn’t planning to, because Jin had already spoken to him about his temper, but when he heard the two snot nosed boys talking a few rows in front of him, he couldn’t help himself.

She’s got a tight ass. You see her at Jackson’s last party? Was this close from goin’ up to her and taking her home—

Everyone was, bro. Jeon’s one lucky fucker — if she was mine, though, I wouldn’t be so open-handed with her—

"Good thing she’s not though, huh?” Jungkook called gruffly, jaw clenched and eyes narrowed. He sees them stiffen, throwing their eyes behind them to see who had eavesdropped on their conversation. They shift uncomfortably as Jungkook continues, “Next time you decide to talk ‘bout how much you wanna fuck someone make sure their fuckin’ man isn’t in the room, huh?”

Their cheeks are flushing red as they turn back to the front of the room. Jungkook was about to continue if it wasn’t for the hand that pats his arm, stirring him from his anger. Taehyung raises an eyebrow warningly, sending Jungkook a weird look that makes the younger man huff and pull his arm away, only muttering, “They’re fuckin’ disgusting."

Taehyung moves to open his mouth but he’s interrupted by the professor — an excellently timed entrance that Jungkook sighs in relief for, knowing that he’s not ready for the conversation Taehyung was definitely going to initiate.

He suffers for an hour and a half through the professor’s drawling and Taehyung’s curious looks, and by the time it’s time to leave he’s certain that he’s about to jump over every table and sprint as far away as he can. He packs away his laptop with the energy of one hundred toddlers with a sugar high, a spring in his step as he passes past his professor with a wave of his hand—

"So it’s official?” Taehyung asks casually from besides Jungkook. Jungkook sighs in exasperation; in his rush to leave he hadn’t escaped his friend. “You and _____?"

"Nothing’s confirmed,” he grumbles, unconsciously stopping when Taehyung stops to drink from a water tap. Jungkook puts his hands in his pocket, eyes drifting leisurely over campus. “I don’t even know if she wants more than… Whatever we have."

"That’s a stretch away from calling yourself her man, dude,” Taehyung whistles, lifting his mouth momentarily, “Whatever, though. Listen, Jimin’s having another get together tonight. Somethin’ small—"

"By small, you mean at most a hundred, right?” Jungkook huffs a laugh, leaning against the wall next to Taehyung. “I’ll be there. Probably."

"You should bring ‘your girl’,” Taehyung snickers, grinning devilishly. Jungkook hides an annoyed smile, still focused on his surroundings. The fountain in the centre of campus, spewing crystal water that sparkled in the sunlight. A group of people playing frisbee like they were on the cover of a college brochure. Namjoon obviously trying to chat you up. A crow eating what was left of a student’s sandwich—

Wait, what?

Eyebrows knitting together, Jungkook turned his attention back to what had caught his eye. Sure enough, across the gigantic fountain and even then, a few metres beyond that, was you and Namjoon. You were obviously uncomfortable, tugging on your bag strap nervously at the man in front of you. Jungkook could see from his body language that Namjoon was desperately trying to seduce you, with how bit his lip, or gazed down at you darkly. It made Jungkook sick to his stomach, so much so that he doesn’t even notify Taehyung when he strides away from him and towards you.

“—had a good time. Maybe you could come over tonight — have a continuation…?” Jungkook’s reminded of how horrible Namjoon was in bed and the very fact that he’s asking for another night when he didn’t satisfy you and left right after he came made Jungkook scoff internally. He was in no place to ask for another night.

“I—I can’t,” you were saying, fake sincerity pushing into your tone of voice, “I gotta study for for his test—"

"I’ll help you study,” Namjoon interrupted flirtatiously, leaving no room for argument, “I got top of my class last year. I’ll be sure to get you a good grade—"

"Hey, baby,” Jungkook swooped in, swinging an arm around your shoulder and pressing a kiss to your cheek. You jolt, but the relief that shows on your face is clear amidst the confusion. It makes him even more irritated at the oblivious man in front of him, but for your sake, he brushes it off. “I haven’t seen you all week. Missed you, baby."

Namjoon’s face was the epitome of confusion. He watched, eyes narrowed and arms folded as Jungkook pecked the tip of your nose before he turned to him, smiling boyishly. "Hey, Joon. What were you and my girl talking about?"

His words were friendly but his voice told a different tale. You didn’t seem to mind, though, unconsciously burrowing deeper into his side and interlocking fingers with the hand that hung from your shoulder. Namjoon smiles wildly, no emotion reaching his eyes.

"Nothing, nothing. Just, uh, offering to help her study. I actually have to go now, so—"

Jungkook doesn’t even attempt to make it look as if he’s reluctant to see Namjoon go, going as far as to roll his eyes when the man was finally facing away from him. Childish, maybe, but it was the only way he could express his annoyance without starting a fight. When the source of his unpleasant mood has finally disappeared from sight, he sighs in relief, peering down at you. "You okay? Dude wasn’t easing up on you."

"I know,” you agreed readily, “He really just… Did not get any of my signals… Thanks for stepping in, though — you really didn’t have to."

"Course I did.” He frowns. “I… guess I just don’t like seeing you uncomfortable."

At the mention, he slowly slinks his arms away, missing the furrow of your brows when his fingers unlink from yours. Coughing awkwardly, he looks passed you and spots Taehyung, pointing at you and mouthing something vigorously. Ass — no, ask — hair — her to the party

He rolls his eyes at his flailing friend but turns to you anyway, trying to steady what semblance of nerves he felt. "Listen,” he began, catching your eye, “Uh, Jimin’s having another party or whatever. You wanna go? With me? Or I mean, you could just — go without me, but see me there if you get what I mean—"

"I really can’t,” you say, wincing. “I wasn’t lying when I said I had to study. But maybe another time, yeah?"

"U-uh, yeah."

"Great, golden boy,” you tease, a smirk settling onto your features. “I gotta go, text me later or something?”

“Yeah,” Jungkook calls after you when you turn on your heel, soon far enough to not hear him or the disappointment hidden in his voice, “I’ll… Definitely do… That…”

"That was rough.“ Taehyung winces pitifully as he appears beside Jungkook, patting his friend’s arm in encouragement. "Look on the bright side, though! She asked you to text her later."

"Everybody says that,” Jungkook grumbles, finally moving his eyes from where you disappeared minutes before. He fidgets with the strap of his bag uncomfortably, desperately wishing that he didn’t look as pouty as he felt. “I need to talk to her — I can’t do it over text."

"She won’t be studying all night.” Taehyung shrugged, nudging Jungkook to start walking. “Just go to her place or somethin’."

Jungkook frowned. He’s been alone with you so many times and seen you at your most vulnerable, but somehow actually going to your place without any ulterior motive felt very, very intimate to him. It’s then that he’s struck with the severity of his feelings — the realisation that this has never happened to him and that he’s completely unprepared makes him uncomfortable; but maybe that’s why he has to do this. If he wants to get serious with you he’s going to have to step out of his comfort zone. Maybe he would pay you a visit.

It takes a few hours for your heart to stop fluttering at the thought of what happened — which is annoying, to say the least, because you’re supposed to studying and you can’t when you find yourself smiling to yourself whenever your mind wanders. Damn Jungkook. Even when he wasn’t around he was driving you crazy.

The way he sauntered up so confidently, the possessiveness that hid in his voice when he addressed Namjoon… You were surprised you remained composed throughout the whole thing. He was the first person that you had experienced such an intense feeling with, and you weren’t completely opposed.

With Jenny gone to Rose’s place for the evening, you have to have some sort of background noise — Love Galore by SZA fills the silence calmly, pushing you to open your books and start studying. So focused on your work you don’t see your phone lighting up multiple times; and, unbeknownst to you, across the city the very fact that you hadn’t noticed was instilling anxiety in the same man that had been driving you insane.

"She’s not answering,” Jungkook mumbles, thumbing his screen, “She hasn’t even read it yet."

Taehyung, in all his drunken glory, sways dangerously, smile delirious and wide. With his arm hazardously placed around Jungkook’s neck and a red cup clutched in his hand, he looks completely in his element. The only thing he was missing was his partner in crime, who was too preoccupied with pouring over his phone instead of drinking.

"Put down your phone,” Taehyung hiccups, “And pick up a drink, my friend! The night is young! We are young—!"

"Do you think she’ll mind if I show up randomly?” Jungkook mutters to himself, chewing his lip anxiously.

Taehyung gives a dramatic groan, sinking into the couch beside Jungkook. “I’m sick of this. Where’s your confidence gone? You’re Jeon Jungkook. You shouldn’t have to go to her. She should come to you."

"I am,” the man himself replies, still uncertain but much steadier. “I… I am."

"You could have any girl in her right now!” Taehyung continues, crowing loudly, “That girl over there’s been giving you the eyes for the last hour. Every time Kang Seulgi passes by she stares at you! You’re. Jeon. Jungkook."

"You know what? I’m gonna go talk to her right now,” Jungkook begins determinedly, “If I hurry, I’ll catch the bus—"

"That’s — that’s not what I was trying to encourage—” Taehyung begins.

“I’ll see you later,” Jungkook says, almost forgetting his jacket on the back of the couch. Across the room, he catches Jimin’s eye; he raises a hand in farewell, receiving a smile in return. He was too busy chatting up some girl, anyway, so there was no point interrupting him. Despite the fact that this was a quote unquote 'small party’, the house was teeming and hard to navigate — Jungkook’s become an expert of sorts when it comes to this though, and finds himself bursting into the cool night just five minutes later.

Teeth chattering, Jungkook hugs his arms closer to himself as he waits for the bus with what little change he happened to have in his jeans. $2.38. That would get him to your dorm, but it definitely wouldn’t get him home. If everything went according to plan, though, he wouldn’t have to go home anyway.

The bus ride is silent, letting Jungkook mull over his thoughts and his nerves bubble. The only other people on the bus are an old lady that doesn’t seem to be getting off anytime soon and a man wearing a tracksuit and eating pizza, so he has no distractions.

When he’s approaching your dorm building, it’s only then that the doubt emerges amongst his confidence. What if you happened to leave to the grocery store right before he arrived? What if you had taken up Namjoon’s offer and he didn’t know? What if he completely misread the signs and you didn’t want anything more like he did?

All his worries melt away when your door opens. The first thing he’s hit with is the sound of music, and then he registers your figure. Your head is leaning against the door frame, body covered with a large hoody and hair piled on top of your head (maybe he gapes for a second, but don’t tell anyone).

“Jungkook?” You ask curiously, “What are you doing here? I thought Jimin was having a party?"

"I—I texted,” he stutters, ignoring your question with a lick of his lips, “I need to talk to you."

“Oh. Okay.” The confusion is clear in your voice but you open your door wider anyway, and he passes by you. He walks into your living room, acknowledging the books splayed out on the coffee table as you shut the door. “I’m sorry I didn’t see your texts. I was, um…"

"Studying.” He shoots you a small smile. “I know."

"Yeah,” you say breathily, sitting yourself opposite him. For a second you just look at him, taking in his appearance absentmindedly, almost forgetting that it wasn’t socially acceptable to just stare at him for 30 seconds straight. “Oh, so — uh, what did you want to talk to me about?"

"Us, actually.” He hides the gulp that follows, forcing himself to not fidget nervously. He watches your expression carefully, taking note of the emotions that run over your features; confusion, nervousness, anxiety…

“I’m gonna be completely honest,” he begins with a nervous laugh and cough, hand running over the back of his head. “I’ve never done this before. Like, never. I’ve never been interested in anything more than — than drunken fucks in someone else’s house and it’s confusing as shit but I’ve decided to confront myself on… On, I don’t know, why I want more."

He doesn’t risk a peek at your face. Not until he’s done.

"I’m tryna get everything out so it probably seems rushed and messy as fuck or whatever but that’s that only way I know how to do this so I’m just gonna get on with it and say that I like you. Like, a lot—" He doesn’t need to look up to know that you’re opening your mouth to speak— "Just — just wait a second, okay?

"So we had our whole thing where we tried to rile each other up and see who caved first. And it was fun, it was something different and I appreciated that you could see the playful side of it, you know? I wasn’t lookin’ for anything serious so I liked that and I still do but somewhere along that fucked up line I… God, how do I say this without sounding cheesy? I started liking you. In a completely non-sexual and completely romantic way.

"And I know you may not trust me.” He bites his cheek, eyes focused on his clasped hands. “99% of our entire campus wouldn’t trust me, fuck, I wouldn’t trust me — you have absolutely no reason to and I know I’m rambling but the truth is that I’m too scared to stop talking because you might reject me. I just—” He takes a deep breath, finally meeting your eyes— “I want to make us official.”

His heart is thumping. The adrenaline that buzzes in his limbs makes it hard to focus on anything except the beating in his chest and the flow of his breath into his body. It amplifies every sensation in him and it takes every nerve in his body to stop him from jumping up and pacing.

“Jungkook…” God, you sound so shocked. Was he really that much of a fuckboy? Who was he kidding; of course he was. “I… I really don’t know what to say…"

"I — I can give you time, if you want,” he offers quietly, even though he’s hoping that you’ll give his answer right now.

"I don’t need time.“ You meet his eyes, before you stand from your seat and maneuver around your coffee table. His heart leaps into his throat when you drop onto his lap, leaving you suddenly nose to nose and forehead to forehead. "I don’t think I do, at least."

"You got an answer?” Jungkook breathes, happiness already tugging at his heart.

“I do,” you mumble back, smiling sheepishly. “I was… I was too scared to tell you that I wanted to make us official. I heard that as soon as it’s mentioned you bolt and I… I didn’t want to scare you away."

And he looks into your eyes — really looks — and he’s hit with a sensation so powerful that it almost takes his breath away. He could never put it into words, could never exactly describe it, but it made him feel as if he needed you, so much so that you could never be close enough to him, despite being sat on his lap with your arms on his shoulders and his on your hips. It’s with this sensation still thrumming in his bones that he grasps your jaw and pulls you down to meet his lips, effortlessly locking into place like you were made for each other.

You release a content sigh against his lips, melting against him seconds later, threading your hands through his dark locks and savouring the feeling of his lips on yours. To finally call him yours was a totally different sensation in itself, but to kiss him so deeply as you had never before was overwhelming. You both had tried to avoid the intimacy of sharing too many kisses during your previous escapades, so it was probably the first time you’d kissed him this long.

"As much as I’d love to fuck you right here, right now,” Jungkook panted as he pulled away, lips swollen and pupils blown, “You have a test tomorrow—"

"I can retake it,” you murmur, leaning forward. “Besides, if I have to take the test with you on my brain I’m not going to be able to focus—"

"You’re making excuses."

"I am,” you agree, pecking his lips a few more times. You stop to meet his eyes, cocking your head to the side. “But what really matters now is if you’re going to fuck me like you said you wanted to."

He narrows his eyes, and you can tell that he’s fighting within himself on what to do. Ultimately, his tempation must get the best of him and he’s left cursing to himself as he pulls you back down again.

"You’re too convincing for your own good,” he murmurs, his hand slipping underneath your hoodie and leaving goosebumps in its wake. He toys casually with the band of your bra, letting it snap against your back.

“And you love it.” You diverge your kisses from his lips, to the sharpness of his jaw and down across the expanse of his neck. You finally had enough time to leave marks like you wanted to; you weren’t consumed with mindless or drunken lust like the other times you’d been together, and you found it much more gratifying this way.

You freeze when a breathy moan catches your attention — the result of a particularly hard nip at his pulse point, one that was sure to bruise. You’re sure he can feel the devilish smile that unfurls across your lips when you follow up your first one with many more. “A-ah. Let me have a go, b-baby."

"Can’t you let me have my fun?” You pout playfully. Nevertheless, you roll over until you lay propped up against the cushions on the couch, allowing Jungkook to position himself over you. Hiking a leg around his waist, he lowers himself until the softness of his lips makes contact with your throat. The feeling of him ghosting over the sensitive skin has your breath hitching, but you manage to stop yourself from showing any other signs of pleasure with a tug of your bottom lip between your teeth.

“Gonna mark you up,” Jungkook mutters, almost to himself, “Make everyone know whose you are."

I’m sure everyone already knows, you plan to say, but you’re cut short when Jungkook sucks intensely on a certain area. It’s most definitely going to bruise, with how he’s nipping and tugging and sucking the skin into his mouth like his mouth depends on it.

"I can’t wait,” you grumble, both hating and loving how he he’s taking his time with you. “Hurry up—"

"You can wait,” he responds, but he raises himself to his knees anyway, stopping to admire his work. “You just don’t want to. Maybe I’ve spoiled you too much."

"You haven’t spoiled me enough,” you retort. With a quick wriggle, you’ve thrown the gigantic hoodie you’d been wearing over your head and onto the floor, leaving you in a mismatched pair of underwear that Jungkook stares too long at. “What? Do you know how hard it is to maintain matching underwear?"

"It’s not that.” He shakes his head, and you catch a sheepish grin before it’s covered when he removes his black t-shirt. “You’re cute, is all."

"I could say the same.” You grin coyly, sitting up for a second to undo the clasp of your bra. Pride fills you when you catch him licking his lips at the sight of your bare chest, and while you’d usually tease him about it, you were equally as far gone — it was taking a lot of effort to not run your hands all over the muscular plane of his chest, to paint it bouquets of red and purple…

“Flattery will get you nowhere,” he hums, surprising you by suddenly dropping down and placing his lips to your stomach. You run your hands softly through his hair, gazing affectionately down at him as he kisses all over you. “I still want to take my time."

You rolled your eyes, but didn’t complain. Having him slow down made the atmosphere much more intense, more intimate. It didn’t feel like you were about to fuck — it felt like you were about to—

Makin’ love, love, we makin’ love.“ You hear him sing the words underneath his breath, in perfect pitch to Dean’s voice that was echoing throughout the room. You never knew he could sing, but even from those few seconds you’re already hooked.

"You’re a good singer,” you whisper. His head shoots up, as if he hadn’t meant for you to hear him — but at the sight of your smile, he relaxes, smiling in embarrassment. You smooth your thumb over his locks of hair as he gets lower, and lower, until he’s kissing your clothed pussy and sending tremors of anticipation running through your body.

Ah." You’re caught off guard when he presses his thumb against your clit through your underwear, rubbing back and forth. Instantly, shocks of pleasure shake your nerves, pushing you to begin rolling your hips towards his hand. He watches leisurely, allowing you to grind against him until a wet patch decorates your underwear.

"Let’s get these off,” he mutters, sitting on his haunches to slip them down your legs. He dives down right after, setting to work on using what wetness seeped from you as a lubricant to rub at your bundle of nerves. “Gotta get you nice and warmed up for me, baby."

"I’m ready,” you whine impatiently. Your actions betray your words, though, with how you desperately buck your hips against his hand, grappling for something to hold onto, “We can take it slow another time— fuck!"

Jungkook took your clit between his lips, flexing his jaw as he suckled it deliciously. His large hands pressed down against your hips, keeping you flush against the couch as he worked his magic. You could feel yourself dripping, no doubt making a mess underneath you, but your mind was too frazzled to care. The lewd sounds coming from his mouth paired with the warmth settling on your skin had your cheeks heating up, your breath catching in your throat as a result. "S—shit, Jungkook…”

"Almost there, baby,“ he said, voice muffled against you. "Just a bit more and you’ll be ready for me, huh?"

The response he gets comes in the form of a groan, one that makes him grin against you. Only a few more minutes of tortuously slow pleasure pass, fire building gradually in the pit of your stomach, so close yet so far from the thing you want most —before he lifts himself, wetness covering his chin and cheeky grin at the sight of you floundering against your couch. Standing, he pushes his jeans to the ground. "You got a condom for me, baby?"

Your hand fumbles to rummage through the drawers on the underside of the coffee table, a place where you and Jennie stuffed anything and everything — bobby pins, hair ties, a chocolate bar, tonnes of paper, a packet of wipes — and, finally, a lone condom that you had shoved in in a panic when your parents came to visit and you needed to hide it quick.

To Jungkook’s surprise, you rise to your knees and shuffle towards his standing form, tearing the plastic open and waiting expectantly for him to pull himself out of his briefs. "I can do it.”

“No, let me.” So he pulls himself out, mentally saving the image of you grasping his half-hard cock in his mind — especially when you lean forward, placing a teasing kiss on the very tip in a way that lets Jungkook know that you’re well aware of the effect you have on him. Seconds later and he’s covered, standing tall and proud against his stomach.

“How do you want it, my girl?” He murmurs, peering down to meet your eyes. His hand grips your jaw firmly, forcing you to hold the contact. Licking your lips, you gaze up at him coyly.

 "I want to ride you.“

And he’s quick to oblige — grasping your hips and swapping your positions until he sits underneath you and you kneel over him, leaning back and letting you take the wheel. You sink down on him with a guttural groan just a minute later, unable to look away from him and the furrow of his brows, the clench of his jaw, the rise of his chest. He fills you in a way nobody else ever has, a way that makes your stomach twist in a good way.

When the first inklings of sensitivity ease away to something more bearable, you begin to rise and fall. Your hands cling to the muscle of his shoulders, as if your pleasure increases with the amount of him you touch — and you could see the self control within his eyes leaving with each passing second, with each clench of you around him, every tug of your fingers in his hair, every smack of skin that fills the room.

"So — f-fuckin’ — beautiful,” Jungkook murmurs, running his hands over your body in awe. If you weren’t so preoccupied, you would’ve blushed, or smiled bashfully, but the only thing you can do in the heat of the moment the only thing you can do is yank him closer and give him the sloppiest kiss you’ve ever given. He likes it though, if the deep groan that rumbles within his chest is anything to go by. “Shit."

Your hips are getting sore from moving so quickly but you have to satisfy the throbbing pleasure that had settled and was growing deep within you, whether it made you black out or lose feeling in your limbs or scream. You weren’t far off, anyway, with the pants and groans that Jungkook was pulling from you expertly, with the fingers that were rolling your sensitive nipples or the occasional soft pulls of your hair, or even when he pressed against your throat just right—

Suddenly, he grasps your thighs and stills you, drawing noises of protest from you until he pulls your forehead to his shoulder and winds his arms around you, making you as compact as possible. One hand on your ass and the other on the back of your head, he begins to buck his hips into you in the completely right spot, saturating your nerves with pleasure so white-hot that you can’t find it within yourself to make any sounds. You sit, limp against him, taking whatever he was giving you.

The feeling of him completely surrounding you warmed you up from the inside out. His arms, warm and heavy 'round your body, his shoulder pressed against your face, his cock drilling inside you, his pelvis grinding against your clit— fuck—

"Jungkook,” you whimper, voice muffled by his shoulder, “I—I—"

"That’s okay, baby,” he grunts, sounding just s wrecked as you felt, “That’s okay. Let yourself go — cum all over me, come on—"

The last thing that you remember before blacking out is too much pleasure to handle and your own breathlessness, then the sound of Jungkook’s final groans in your ear as he finishes right after you.

"You’re telling me that you fucked me so hard I passed out?"

Jungkook shrugs, but the pride is clear on his face. "I knew I was amazing, but this is a whole other level."

"I was probaby tired,” you grumble, burying your face into his chest. “So shut up."

Jungkook hums, letting you both fall into silence. It must’ve been an hour or two since you finished, since the digital clock seemed to be telling you that it was nearing 4AM. You woke up completely clean and dressed in your hoodie again, laying flat against Jungkook’s chest. It was then that he filled you in — humour lacing his voice, he told you of how you had slumped onto him when you came, how he had cleaned you with the wipes hidden in the coffee table and then dressed you. He made you eat a cup of instant ramen before he let you lay down again, saying something about having to replenish yourself.

"What happens now?” You ask seconds later, lifting your head. “Between us, I mean."

That evil little part of your brain was telling you that this was a hoax. Jungkook had finally tricked you into sleeping with him again and you had lost because you believed him. It was telling you that Jungkook was going to up and leave like he did with all the other girls and go boast to his equally as bad friends.

Jungkook shrugs. "I told you — I don’t know how to go about this 'boyfriend’ stuff. But—” He pulls your hand from your side, linking your fingers together— “I can learn, right?"

Your heart soars, and you grin, nodding. "Definitely."

So that was the story of how you really did dismantle The Fuckboy Scheme — albeit, not how you planned, but when Jungkook burrows his face into your neck and falls asleep there you can’t find it in yourself to care.

 ("What the FUCK!"

"Jennie!” You gasp, almost falling from the couch had it not been for Jungkook’s grasp on your hand. Said girl stands in the doorway to your apartment, eyes wide and shocked and horrified and a billion other things you couldn’t hope to identify. “I-it’s not what it looks like?"

"It looks like you and Jeon fucked on our couch—!"

"We did,” Jungkook chimes in, smiling brightly.

“You’re not helping—” You hiss, slapping his chest, only for him to catch your hand in the process.

Jennie watches with a wrinkled nose and folded arms. “I’m only saying this because you’ve walked in on me and Rose so many times, but I’m letting you off this once." She struts towards her bedroom then, mumbling about 'kids these days’ and 'horn dogs’.

"That…” Your eyes narrow. “Was better taken than expected.”

"It’s because we’re adorable.“ Jungkook shrugs, before he yanks you down with what must be all of his strength and cages you against him. "Let’s go to sleep, please. I’m still tired and after that amazing orgasm I’m sure you are too—"

"If I had the strength I would slap you so hard right now."

"Sure you would."

But you’re already asleep, and Jungkook follows almost instantly — and it’s the first time he’s fallen asleep with a smile on his face.)

for mine and @calumsbicth‘s valentine blurb night

Requested: yes

Pairing: Ashton x Reader

Warning: smut (oh shit), swearing.

Description: When Ashton forgets about Valentine’s Date he has with Y/N, thoughts and emotions immediately start running through her mind.

The clinging sound of your heels filled the kitchen as you prepared the last things for the night. Candles, home-made meal, flowers, everything was perfect. You always hated Valentine’s because you never had anyone to celebrate it with. Your last couple of relationships would always end right before the 14th, so it was not even weird that you were looking that much forward to the night. It all seemed like a movie. You had bought new lingerie, made him food like you were some kind of mum - even though you had to call Calum to get him to help you. Nothing could go wrong.

Bitch, I Might Be

Summary: Classic Dean helps Reader sleep plot

Warnings: None

Word Count: 1084

A/N: So, I couldn’t sleep last night or tonight. I was all spazzy (just ask @kclaire1 who got a really confusing email from me… oops!) and I don’t know why, so I decided to just write about it! It’s only three weeks into the semester and I think I’m going crazy. I wonder how insane I’ll be by midterms or finals. Also I think this is a gender neutral reader! (Of course my brain isn’t working so I might have missed something)

It’s three o’ fucking clock in the morning and I’m cleaning the bunker’s kitchen. Why? No idea. I mean, Sam keeps it clean enough. The Winchesters aren’t slobs. Actually, they’re cleaner than I am. I’m the token dirty roommate in this trio.

Which brings me back to the question: Why the hell am I cleaning the kitchen at three a.m.?

Well, really, I should be asking the questions: Why the hell can’t I sleep? Where the hell did all of this energy come from?
