apollo orb

every second is someone’s morning
as Apollo drags the sun across the sky.
no interruption
sunrise; sunset
but always heat & brightness
to circle the deity.

every second touches noon at some place
as Apollo hangs the orb of fire
above our heads.
his tiredness feels like burning
& his zeal sets our hearts ablaze.

every second the sun is dropped
on one horizon
as Apollo exits somewhere.
& if his spark is always missed, he lets us rest
& allow the stars to shine for a moment.

every second is past midnight already
as Apollo ignites new landscapes
& turn on the light on cities.
& he goes brightening west
                        forever west.
