I’m falling apart

A/N: Reader is Jensen’s little sister who is going through a tough time with depression and Jensen is determined to help her. If this becomes a series it’s gonna be super dramatic & probably kinda twisty.

Trigger warning: Depression, suicidal thoughts.

Jensen threw his head back laughing at a joke Jared made. Looking around the table he realized how lucky he was. He was sitting at a table in Rome surrounded by his friends and fellow cast mates, enjoying the night. Tomorrow was the first day of the convention and the few days following it him and Jared would tour the city some before heading back home to his family. A gentle smile fell on Jensen’s lips when he thought about Danneel and the kids in Austin and all the plans they had for the hiatus.

Feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket, Jensen grabbed it, smiling even wider when he saw Danneel’s name pop up on the caller ID.

“Hey babe.” He answered.

“Hey Jay.” Danneel’s voice responded, only something sounded off in her tone.

“What’s up?” Jensen said, standing up from his seat and walking away from the group, “You sound worried.”

“Yeah, I mean, I’m sure it’s nothing but…” Danneel trailed on.

“You’re kinda worrying me here Dee. What’s going on?” Jensen pushed.

“It’s Y/N.” Danneel responded.

“My sister? Is she okay?” Jensen quickly pushed.

…some men are quite perturbed about a women-only screening of Wonder Woman at an Alamo Drafthouse movie theater in Austin, Texas….

One man was so angry about the screening that he wrote a letter to Austin Mayor Steve Adler. In addition to writing some — ahem — eyebrow-raising ideas about women and bringing up a 1966 mass shooting, the man threatened to not grace Austin with his presence.

This is the email that Adler received on May 26:

“I hope every man will boycott Austin and do what he can to diminish Austin and to cause damage to the city’s image. The theater that pandered to the sexism typical of women will, I hope, regret it’s decision. The notion of a woman hero is a fine example of women’s eagerness to accept the appearance of achievement without actual achievement. Women learn from an early age to value make-up, that it’s OK to pretend that you are greater than you actually are. Women pretend they do not know that only men serve in combat because they are content to have an easier ride. Women gladly accept gold medals at the Olympics for coming in 10th and competing only against the second class of athletes. Name something invented by a woman! Achievements by the second rate gender pale in comparison to virtually everything great in human history was accomplished by men, not women. If Austin does not host a men only counter event, I will never visit Austin and will welcome it’s deterioration. And I will not forget that Austin is best known for Charles Whitman. Does Austin stand for gender equality or for kissing up to women? Don’t bother to respond. I already know the answer. I do not hate women. I hate their rampant hypocrisy and the hypocrisy of the ‘women’s movement.’ Women do not want gender equality; they want more for women. Don’t bother to respond because I am sure your cowardice will generate nothing worth reading.
"Richard A. Ameduri”

Today, Adler posted his response:

“Dear Mr. Ameduri,
"I am writing to alert you that your email account has been hacked by an unfortunate and unusually hostile individual. Please remedy your account’s security right away, lest this person’s uninformed and sexist rantings give you a bad name. After all, we men have to look out for each other!

"Can you imagine if someone thought that you didn’t know women could serve in our combat units now without exclusion? What if someone thought you didn’t know that women invented medical syringes, life rafts, fire escapes, central and solar heating, a war-time communications system for radio-controlling torpedoes that laid the technological foundations for everything from Wi-Fi to GPS, and beer? And I hesitate to imagine how embarrassed you’d be if someone thought you were upset that a private business was realizing a business opportunity by reserving one screening this weekend for women to see a superhero movie.

"You and I are serious men of substance with little time for the delicate sensitivities displayed by the pitiful creature who maligned your good name and sterling character by writing that abysmal email. I trust the news that your email account has been hacked does not cause you undue alarm and wish you well in securing your account. And in the future, should your travels take you to Austin, please know that everyone is welcome here, even people like those who wrote that email whose views are an embarrassment to modernity, decency, and common sense.

"Yours sincerely,
"Steve Adler”

anonymous asked:

Where is your proof that Louis is the UK?

Proof is taken so seriously in here.

It’s the twins bday tomorrow.

There’s pic of him almost every day now, 2 from older times (2013 pic, pic w fan).

They have used these distractions forever, having the tendency to post misdated/delayed pictures when both of them are MIA.

Both are MIA.

They’re distracting you. Here’s what I’m focusing on:

There’s silence for days now. H and L and Jeff are in UK, being Mia.

FEB 1 passed and Suddenly Louis’ image (handwriting, JHO) is or CAN BE used and he drew JHO enough times in NYC that there’s no doubt it’s his handwriting.

Suddenly Steve can name himself using words from JHO.

Suddenly Louis can post about JHO on FB.

Suddenly Louis can tweet about writing more songs.

Suddenly Steve can talk about the future (more collabs, ton of songs written). Remember the starking difference during promo 2.0? (Umm we’re just trying it out, we’re not sure, just jamming, we will see, no plans just meeting on Twitter via a DM,it’s all a miracle. etc etc.) Lies. Lies. Lies.

And suddenly the interviews turn professional and there’s no more baby question.

But there’s still no announced dates for promo 2.0 apart from Corden.

Austin makes a Livestream (he never did any) where his friend says there’s no Freddie. No damage control. The next day there’s another Livestream where he calls F johnny. Now. If I were their team and I wouldn’t ever want this fiasco I would’ve done damage control and would’ve never allowed that kid close to a laptop, much less taking another Livestream. Let alone w Freddie himself who he outed the day before.

EDIT the Johnny video seems to be old.

Still. No damage control. It’s silence. It’s a selfie where he shows his tattoo. The 28. It could mean anything. But it happens to be the last day of this month. March. March. March. So many contract related things point to march. ‘Hiatus started’, full stop founded, Elouno ending, Hadine ending. March is important in this fandom.

You saw the one-of-a-kind poster of the Judgmental Map of Austin on Reddit last week. Now we are printing limited edition posters of 3 of the cities we have judged (on our site or in the book). Let us know which city you want to see posters of, and we’ll take the top cities as of Friday 7/14 at 11:59pm EST and get them printed on beautiful, tree-killing paper for you to hang in your shitty apartment!

Lots of people sending PMs about the hurricane

Tilde Momoko and I live on an upper floor of our apartment complex in Austin Texas. Austin is in the path of the storm but very far inland. We will be fine don’t worry. I’ll be on twitter @Rev_Scarecrow updating when I can. I have a video all scheduled for tomorrow but may lose power. If I do you’ll have to go get it yourself at 1pm cst.

looks like austin is clear of everything now !! thank you to everyone who sent me messages and stuff checking in :) but please keep an eye on houston and all of the people along the coast and that area that still need help!

“I’m Canadian, so every American Thanksgiving I’m like on my own sitting there in my apartment in Austin, so I’ll go hang out with him and the crew and his family.”

Taylor discusses his continued friendship with Marcus Luttrell after filming Lone Survivor and other SEALs.

Ok, so I was submit this (thank you btw, all the credits to you!)

Is from a private acc (I usually don’t post things that come from a private acc, but I thought it was interresting) from one of the Clark’s as you can see. Now, let’s talk about the comments.

Gradma Ruth, that gradma that was on the hospital the day Freddie was “born”. For what she commented, she never saw the kid again….. let’s follow the narrative here, shall we? So, if we follow narrative: Briana hasn’t let anyone see Freddie apart from Brett, Tammi, Austin, Ashley, herself, and once in a blue moon, cybergranny?

Why we only get pics of him from this five people and only them? Not a pic from someone else from her family or a comment (dad’s side or sted-dad side). Nothing from friends or anyone else. Isn’t that a bit weird? I mean, it’s been 10 months, why people haven’t seen this aby morethan once? Those coments were made in June and we still have got nothing from them.

So why Brett’s brother and mother were there on the day the baby was born, in the room with her, but have not seen him ever again?

Under the cut I’ll add proofs that the acc is real. Note that Ashley, Tracy and who I suppose is Ruth all follow. Also this brianajprivate acc (a fake) follows the entire family.

The Glamour Thieves

Rating: ★★★☆☆

Short blurb: JT is an orc on the way up. He’s got his own robotics shop and a bright future ahead of him. Then his old almost-boyfriend Austin shows up, and the elf’s got the same hard body and silver tongue as he did two years ago. He wants JT to help him with one last scheme: stealing the virtual intelligence called Blue Unicorn. Soon JT’s up to his tusks in trouble, and it ain’t just zombies and Chinese triads threatening to tear his new life apart. Austin wants a second chance with JT. But is there too much history between them for it to work?

Things about The Glamour Thieves:

1. It has really cool world building. It’s a blend of magic and technology that hints at some kind of huge change that took place on Earth 40 years before the story that led to mutant species, and it’s very interesting and has a lot of potential. This was what drew me to the book and accounts for most of the good parts of it.

2. It has a lot of sex, and it’s very graphic. That one’s on me — I need to learn to take the time to look up the content of non-YA books before blindly requesting them because of one recommendation on tumblr. I’ve had this problem before. Anyway, if you’re thinking about reading this book, be aware the way I wasn’t (because I ended up skimming quite a bit)

3. Intense mutual pining trope! Austen’s chapters are so full of it. This elf is a Mess™

4. The ending??? It has no real closure. The plot is finished up but the relationship has loose ends.

5. The plot was mostly very good — like I said, it really explored this cool mesh of magic/technology. But after about two fight scenes and some angst, it was over. It’s a little too short, and despite those epic fight scenes, ends a little too easily. I felt a little cheated, and I feel like the implications of the Blue Unicorn and how it connected to JT and Austen’s past weren’t explored enough.

6. The book has a really cool backstory that isn’t explained all the way. You get information on it scattered throughout the book, which is done nicely, but I think we could have used more of it, especially because the angst of the main story depends on that shared backstory. If the book were longer and perhaps done in the alternating chapter format of telling both stories at once, I think it would have worked very well.

Overall I have mixed feelings about this book and it’s hard to decide whether I recommend it.

Model 1052

I wondered about Stella and her brigt-pink puffy lips. They produced an impression on me as if the 1970s never ended. Her parents lived in Dallas. She left Texas several times, but otherwise her life was lived in Texas. I imagined her life as very peaceful and prosperous. She was around twenty. What else was there to say about her? A lot of things. I imagined her long travels from Austin to Dallas—not every weekend, but often enough. All these spectacular roads through cut basalt hills. Bridges and trees; the sky, very clear and blue. I imagined night Dallas in lights, blinking like an open jewelry box. Her parents, I imagined, must live in an apartment. Her house in Austin was sweet, little, and very tidy. She lived with roommates across the street from her boyfriend. He rented, or perhaps owned a house on his own. “Why don’t you live together?” I pried. She said, “He is not very orderly. Comic books and pizza all over the place.” I laughed in admiration and disbelief. I want to say, I knew very little about customs of—but whom? “Americans”? Twenty-year-olds? Stellas specifically? I knew little, but I liked what I knew. It was strange and funny. Stella was very outspoken and outgoing. Everyone could consider oneself lucky knowing her. At the end of the day, I imagined, she turned herself off switching an accurate pink button on her side. If you look attentively enough, you could notice a tiny bulging spot on her dress, on the right side. That’s where the button is hidden.

just wondering how the fuck luxury apartments and townhomes in austin all seem to be like … relatively affordable? like im seeing shit with granite countertops built in 2013 for like $875?
