anything you didn't see

My country is celebrating 100 years of independence this year and we are also achieving marriage equality on the 1st of March. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our achievements as a nation than celebrating equality and human rights. Congratulations, Finland, may there be many more victories such as this and may your freedom last a thousand years!

(yes, the Finnish flag appears backwards because she’s waving it around)

Heyyy, Oso and Choro! Before I ask my question, I wanted to say that you two are my favorite pairing between you all bros! (Also the art on this blog is super cute!) Anyways, my question is: what is the dumbest thing you've ever done together, and were you punished for it?

O: Heheh, it’s nice to hear that we’re a favourite!

C: As for your question: there are a lot of dumb things that come to mind, but…

O: Iyami came by our house the next morning, and he assumed that we were the ones that dented the hood of his van (wow). I argued that he was the one that parked his vehicle right outside a pub and it could’ve been anyone. So we weren’t really “punished”.

C: Did that time count as a “hit and run”? Are we criminals?

((We appreciate your kind words, anon!))

something that always struck me as odd about the prequels is how palpatine was able to forge a relationship with anakin in the first place.

this is definitely my biggest problem with the jedi, in relation to anakin: they let palpatine, a middle aged man, get anakin, a child, alone. the fact that palpatine’s even insistent on it at all should be ringing alarm bells. there should be Stranger Danger warnings going off, people! you’re dropping the ball, men!

and i understand that, according to the comics, palpatine threw his political weight around, saying that the senate has total control over the jedi. that you can’t deny the chancellor. but that’s incorrect - the republic is corrupt, but it’s not a dictatorship yet. as anakin’s legal guardians, the council has the full right to refuse palpatine access to anakin - it doesn’t matter who’s knocking at your door, you’re supposed to protect your charge.

but the jedi handed him over. the second palpatine pressed, they folded; and no one tried to curb anakin’s interaction with palpatine, even though it should be clear that an old man wanting to talk with a minor day after day after day is suspicious. especially since the jedi were suspicious of palpatine anyway

Hey i was wondering if you had any thoughts on the whole Icarus' pride/fall analogy for fahc Gavin that seems to have gone around a bit? If you feel like it of course!

Oh Ramsey’s perfect little frontman, all polished shine and pearly whites, mouth dripping charm like poison, like promise. How fitting to dress him up in ancient fables, a cautionary tale that has stood the test of time, how apt to deem him doomed from the start.

Is it any surprise that the people can’t stop talking about about him? Can they really be blamed when he goads them into it? When he wears vanity like the finest cloak, teases rumours out of thin air, when he seemingly lives to be in the limelight no matter the cost.

They’ve named him Icarus, like hubris. Like ill-fated glory hound. Like pretty fool with his head in the clouds. Like the fatal fall is inevitable and he has already lost. It’s funny how no one ever talks about the fact that Icarus was running, hurled into the sky to escape the fickle fancies of a cruel king, less human trying to play god than prisoner willing to risk everything for one more day in the sun. Child still naive enough to believe his father could never steer him wrong.

They call him Icarus, and it fits.

At birth he was named Gavin and as a child he’d have given anything to fly. A tyrant needs no crown and cruelty has never been limited to kings; Gavin outgrew blind faith years ago and since that day he has been running. It’s made him cautious, most would never know it now but he has always been calculated where it counted, has never needed another to build his escape route.

He’s as skittish and distrustful as an alley cat, as anyone who has ever been powerless, who is determined never to be again. He investigates every outcome, he does his math twice, and though many laugh when he sets his sights on America Gavin has always known exactly how perilous his wings are. By the time he arrives he has been reborn; all that swanky blasé confidence didn’t come naturally, was built piece by piece, fragile feather by fragile feather, stitched together with fear and need and the hardened resolve of someone who has run out of options.

They say Icarus, like hubris. Like there is any pride in desperation. Like ambition is the enemy, and chasing the brightest, purest thing you’ve ever seen is arrogant. Like that first winged boy wasn’t absolutely aware of what he was doing, like he didn’t aim upwards on purpose, didn’t swear that after a lifetime in the dark he was going to kiss the sun whether it killed him or not. Salvation or bust.

In Los Santos he is golden. Ramsey’s boy, untouchable boy, brilliant, brutal, menace. He is vital, important, he is vicious, he is streaking towards the sun blazing so brightly no one can look away, burning up right before their eyes. Gavin is higher than he’s ever been but he can’t stop now, not when death is coming from above and below and behind, not when everyone knows it’s better to go out on top. Better to choose it, to taunt it, to die laughing with the sun on your face.

He knows what the people call him, knows what they all expect, and can’t quite stop himself from laughing at them; no one ever seems to talk about the fact that Icarus didn’t die in the fall. It was neither height nor folly that that got him in the end; Icarus drowned. Blinded by hope and dropped into an environment he had no way to prepare for, dragged down with no way to help himself and no one around to save him.

For all Gavin’s many faults, real and affected alike, no one can say he is alone, not anymore. Not after he built himself a safety net out of hard eyes and loaded guns, leather jackets and bared teeth, weaving desperate affection and steadfast protection so deeply into the most ruthless crew he’d ever met that they’d drain the entire ocean before they’d let him sink.

They call him Icarus, and it fits, but they are missing half the story. Gavin built his own wings, omitting wax in favour of blood and bone, coated them in bullet casings and gold leaf so they’d catch the sunlight and blind any who tried to look too closely. Who can tell, then, if he is climbing or falling? Who can see clearly enough to know when the ocean is rushing up to greet him? Gavin who is always two steps ahead, who could talk a fish out of water, could charm gravity, who has never feared the fall. Gavin who dreamed of flying, who spent his whole life learning how to swim.

im curious about who and what the flowers represent in your most recent oikawa drawing! care to share what it means? your art its wonderful im screaming

aahh i got a lot more asks about this than anticipated, ty all for the interest! *v* ofc these are just some of my thoughts that went into the composition, so you’re absolutely welcome to come up with your own interpretation too. 👍

pink: ushijima

he’s oikawa’s nemesis, someone he never manages to beat. he can never get past ushijima and strive towards even greater heights, hence the big leaves/flower hanging over his head, blocking him, and pulling his hand up to narrow his vision.

blue: kageyama

like ushijima, kageyama is an obstacle to oikawa. the fear of being overcome and replaced drove him to practice even harder than he already did; this is why the flower/vines connect his hand to the volleyball too. and even though defeating ushijima has always been oikawa’s ultimate goal, ever since kageyama has shown up he’s paid detailed attention to his development as well, on occasion even lost sight of ushijima because of that; that’s why i wanted him to look at the blue flower, not the pink one.

green/white: iwaizumi

ushijima and kageyama both take the role of an antagonist in oikawa’s story (hence why they’re symbolised similarly) and affect him in a very particular way—and iwaizumi is the opposite. he’s always been oikawa’s partner, always been someone who strengthened him, he’s always present. i wanted to represent that through the vines/smaller green flowers. the two white ones are both iwaizumi and oikawa himself; iwaizumi brings oikawa’s talent to draw out people’s strengths to its peak. makes him the true Grand King.

Here’s your real gift @scribefigaro! I figured Miroku and Sango would probably settle down in a home all their own pretty quickly after the final battle (this is move in day).

I hope the shading is to your liking.

An INFJ Assassin

INFJ’S are like assassins. Quiet and hidden among the world. Living in the shadows. Just watching everyone go about their day-to-day life. But keep in mind that if anyone gets hurt, especially one of our family members or friends, you will feel the rage of our anger and the hurt of our soul. So keep on good terms.

(we don’t wanna cut you but we will if we have to)

I’m a type of person who wouldn’t be able to express how I love you with words.

You’d see it in a smile when I first see you from a distance.
You’d see it in my voice tone when we are talking.
You’d see it in a call to check you’re back home.
You’d see it in a birthday call after 12 am.
You’d see it in a post where I tagged you on.
You’d see it in a song I sent you days ago so you could listen to the lyrics. As they carry a message.

You could see it in other ways stronger than words.
You’d see it in my gesture, my body and eyes.

// Don’t feel bad or offended if I don’t choose to draw your requests. I still draw them, because I want and I’m trying to find my way to do artwork like this. Not because I’d feel forced to do as others say and stress about that I have to fill all of your wishes that you, my dears, keep sending to me. I value my time and skills. These are just a good practise for me to draw faster and more smoothly.

If you actually want to get more detailed ink artworks, ask me about commissions. Few have already inquired about fullsized ink-commissions, and I’ll definitely put my soul in there and use more than 5 min and untouchable brush to complete that sort of artwork.

I’m going to continue these request, but I’m very picky from now on. People who have gave me those ko-fi tips sure get one, but I’m not asking you all to throw me your coins if you don’t like to. I’ll pick the ones that I wanna make, and that’s it~

But first of all I’m gonna make some nice oven-baked salmon. ‘Cause I’m hungry af~

Considering that the villain was a Nice Guy*TM, the girl wasn’t dating the “official” Hero in the first place and when she did get involved it was with the guy she was having adventures with as equals, not a dashing rescuer…

I’m REALLY confused as to how fucking Frozen is the animated film that got declared “feminist.”
