Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi Reprise their Roles
From Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Acclaimed Film 'Tangled’

KINGDOM OF CORONA – Set between the stories told in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ acclaimed film “Tangled” and its short film “Tangled Ever After,” the Disney Channel Original Movie “Tangled Before Ever After” makes its debut on FRIDAY, MARCH 10 (8:00 p.m. EST) leading to the highly anticipated premiere of “Tangled: The Series” on FRIDAY, MARCH 24 (7:30 p.m. EDT). Reprising their roles are Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi as Rapunzel and Eugene (formerly known as Flynn Rider), respectively.

The visually vibrant animated adventure/comedy movie and series unfold as Rapunzel acquaints herself with her parents, her kingdom and the people of Corona. Her irrepressible spirit and natural curiosity lead her to realize that there is so much more she needs to learn about the world and herself before she can assume her role as Princess of Corona. Beloved characters from the feature film accompany Rapunzel on her journey, including her partner in life Eugene; her loyal chameleon sidekick, Pascal; no-nonsense and dutiful horse, Maximus; and the Snuggly Duckling Pub Thugs. The series introduces newcomer Cassandra (voiced by Broadway’s Eden Espinosa), a tough-as-nails lady-in-waiting, who becomes Rapunzel’s good friend and confidante.

In the Disney Channel Original Movie, Rapunzel grapples with both the new responsibilities of being princess and the overprotective ways of her father. While she wholeheartedly loves Eugene, Rapunzel does not share his immediate desire to get married and settle down within the castle walls. Determined to live life on her own terms, she and Cassandra embark on a secret adventure where they encounter mystical rocks that magically cause Rapunzel’s long blonde hair to grow back. Impossible to break and difficult to hide, Rapunzel must learn to embrace her hair and all that it represents.

“Tangled Before Ever After” will be available on the Disney Channel app and Disney Channel VOD platforms beginning Friday, March 10. “Tangled: The Series” will be available beginning Friday, March 24. Following its U.S. debut, the Disney Channel Original Movie and series will roll out globally in 33 languages in 162 countries on Disney Channels worldwide.

Extensions of the story span new “Tangled” print and e-book titles including an original middle grade series by Leila Howland, inspired by the series from Disney Publishing; Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media will debut new playsets, dolls, role-play, apparel and accessories later this fall at Disney Store and all other retailers; the singles “Wind in My Hair” performed by Mandy Moore and “Life After Happily Ever After” performed by Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Clancy Brown, releasing on February 10 and March 10, respectively, from Walt Disney Records; and a DVD of the TV movie and four animated shorts releasing April 11 by Disney Studios.

Starring alongside Moore, Levi and Espinosa are Julie Bowen (“Modern Family”) as Rapunzel’s mother, Queen Arianna, and Clancy Brown (“Shawshank Redemption”) as Rapunzel’s father, King Frederic.

The recurring guest voice cast includes Jeffrey Tambor (“Transparent”) as Snuggly Duckling Pub Thug, Big Nose; Sean Hayes (“Will and Grace”) as Pete the Guard; Jeremy Jordan (“Supergirl”) as teen alchemist Varian; comedian Jeff Ross as Pub Thug, Hook Hand’s brother Hook Foot; Richard Kind (“Spin City”) as Uncle Monty; Paul F. Friday was historic day in the world of electronic music, because on that day, the great and enigmatic ZHU released his highly anticipated debut album, Generationwhy! There’s no denying that this producer has been one of the most influential artists in the dance scene since he mysteriously appeared with his very first tracks, and his rise has been no less than meteoric. ZHU has been thrilling us with reveals from his album over the past months, and as the record dropped, he also unveiled a new cut named Hometown Girl. Get ready for a very different side of ZHU when you dive into this dreamy track. Gone are the deep murky vocals and the carnal slamming bass. This is a soft sensitive, melting sublime ZHU more on the synthpopping side of spectrum. Hometown Girl gently bounces with warm gooey, sugary sweet feels, a laid back dance groover that somehow manages to make us fall in love with ZHU even more. Can I be your hometown girl, ZHU? After all, I’m from the San Francisco Bay! ZHU will be playing a bevy of fests this summer and into the fall, including Bumbershoot, Life Is Beautiful, CRSSD, and Treasure Island in San Francisco, which I greatly look forward to. Grab your digital copy of ZHU’s Generationwhy from iTunes.

In case you were hiding under a rock all day, let me remind you that Gallant dropped his highly anticipated debut album today. And as expected, Ology is a heart pummeling stunner, a compendium of riveting raw and sincerely moving R&B soul delivered by one of the most stunning vocalists we’re fortunate to have amongst us today. It’s no wonder that there’s a strong consensus among all music industry professionals, tastemakers, and fans that Gallant is the most exciting rising act of the moment. Just listen to the Southern Californian superstar in the making’s ardent crooning on Talking To Myself, one of 16 tracks off of Ology. Snazzy production, a jazzy velour, and much moving rhapsody make Talking To Myself an irresistibly mesmerizing jam. I wish it sounded this splendid when I talk to myself… Do yourself a favor, hurry up and stream Ology in full on Soundcloud, then purchase the album from iTunes.

As we all know, the cast of DuckTales 2017 is a veritable buffet of fairly well-known celebrities. In anticipation of the series’ debut, it’s interesting and fun to look at the work the DT cast has been doing and wonder how it’ll play into their portrayal of our beloved anthropomorphs.

Since some of them are from Saturday Night Live, that’s not so hard. In fact, it’s downright timely.

From last night’s SNL, here’s Launchpad McQuack (Beck Bennett) being seduced by Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway (Kate McKinnon).

You can also see Louie (Bobby Moynihan) in the beginning.

Given the background of the cast, maybe DT 2017 should just be called “Saturday Night DuckTales”…

Let’s toppled off the “deep end” with this emerging 19 year old Australian talent, Vincent Sole, as he croons soulfully over a dramatic swelling soundscape on his smooth new single. Deep End’s wavy euphoric indie electronica glowers yet melts. The song, which was created in collaboration with Malcolm Besley (Northeast Party House, City Calm Down), comes ahead of Vincent Sole’s highly anticipated debut headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney this April. He explains that the song “tells a story about freestyling the rest of my teen years and taking a leap of faith, to lead my life into something bigger.”

Teen Wolf is gearing up for its final run (kicking off on Tuesday, November 15) – but before the long-running series rides off into the sunset, Scott McCall’s pack has an important pit stop to make: New York Comic Con.

And now, the details for the Big Apple-based pop culture event: The panel – featuring Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Melissa Ponzio, Linden Ashby and executive producer Jeff Davis – will take place on Saturday, October 8 at 10:30 a.m. in the Hammerstein Ballroom. Be prepared to let out a few howls if you find yourself in the audience.

In addition, newcomer Sweet/Vicious – which will air right after Teen Wolf – will make its highly anticipated convention debut on Friday, October 7 in Room 1A10 at the Javits Center at 12:30 p.m. Stars Eliza Bennett, Taylor Dearden, Brandon Mychal Smith, Nick Fink and executive producers Jenn Kaytin-Robinson and Amanda Lasher will treat fans to an exclusive first-look at the show, which is an offbeat superhero story for the millennial generation. Hell-bent on bringing justice to those who get away with abuse on their college campus, Jules (Bennett) and Ophelia (Dearden) take on double lives as wannabe vigilantes. Filled with clumsy attempts and missteps, the odd-couple pair of antiheroes must balance their new secret life with best friends, parents, love interests, and the metaphorical monsters under their beds.

Be sure to stay with MTV News and the series’ social accounts for any and all New York Comic Con updates! And don’t miss Teen Wolf, premiering on Tuesday, November 15 at 9/8c followed by Sweet/Viciousat 10/9c!

“Okay, we’re going to have our dress rehearsal now! Get in your seats to have your makeup done,” calls out the manager. You all responded with a hearty ‘yes’ and settled into the designated spots in front of the mirrors where the stylists and cosmetic artists waited to complete their job. Today would be all of your anticipated debuts - but your names would not be the ones being chanted throughout the crowds, all of you knew that the cheers wouldn’t be for you but for the ones you were setting up for greater fame. And you couldn’t blame them - after all, the fans would rather waste their breath on the nine boys than the dancers behind them, right? But there was still a twinge of pain at returning to these thoughts, albeit true. It’d be nice if we could get some credit, though, you thought to yourself absentmindedly as the girl starts on your complexion. We spent just as much time rehearsing as they did! Oh, well.

You watched your features transform to those of a winter wonderland - subtle white and pastel blues on your skin and you were ready for the performance. But you still had to change into your outfit - the one you loved to wear, yet the others you worked with teased you for it. And you knew why, another painful truth that you try to hide while you improve on yourself - your appearance. You eat too much! If you want to lose weight, you have to eat less. Go exercise more, nothing’s changed. Seriously, if you don’t lose enough weight in time for the first performance, you might get kicked off!

Leo Kalyan never fails to capture my heart with his brand of soulful electronic R&B. New song Fingertips is as sultry and silken as Leo’s ever been. Thick, muggy atmosphere envelope his warm, fluid vocals, painting a tapestry of gut wrenching, lovelorn emotion. It’s been a while since we heard from the Londoner, and Fingertips has me swooning at his feet yet again. Fingertips is taken from Leo Kalyan’s highly anticipated debut EP, Silver Linings. No release date has been set yet.
