AHS: Chapter 3

:> American Horror Story S6E : Chapter 3

American Horror Story is a horror television series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Described as an anthology series, each season is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a disparate set of characters and settings, and a storyline with its own “beginning, middle, and end”.

I’m not very good with words and I don’t think I could ever do the shows and the band justice, but I feel so lucky to have been able to go and see McFly for 3 nights and watch them perform all their amazing songs. Literally couldn’t have asked of any more of the guys - they performed flawlessly and they made everyone’s night(s) one to remember for the rest of their lives.

This photo was taken at the end of show 3 (not by me i might add!) when they all bowed just before going off stage.. it was so emotional but also a very happy moment to see McFly united again after such a long time.

Thank you McFly!

AHS Anthology Theory

So one of the big trailers for Roanoke was the one titled anthology and since the very beginning I’ve had this idea that each of the ten episodes would relate back to a season per episode. Season 1 to episode 1 and so forth. Now it seemed this wasn’t the case at first but now I’m convinced otherwise. Going along with my other mirror theory (check my ahs tag) it appears that there are reflections of each season per episode. Episode one is a family looking to start over so they move to a knew house after an horrific event much like season one. Episode two features two nurses killing people and nurses/hospital was explored slightly in season two with asylum. Now the latest episode includes a medium from NEW ORLEANS who employs a sort of witchcraft. Now what I’m saying is that four may involve circus/freak references, five hotel or old Hollywood and six, according to Ryan Murphy, is the big twist. So maybe the mirror theory comes into play there. But the interesting thing is that maybe seven through ten could have hints for the next four season ideas! Who knows we’ll just have to watch and find out.

the short film I was in Home Invasion or, The Night Before Christmas has been selected to be the New Filmmakers series this fall. It will be playing at Anthology Film Archives on December 21st. So If you’re in NYC around that time be sure to come out. Very Proud that this movie is getting some attention

A look inside POWER & MAGIC: The Queer Witch Comics Anthology - Little Red Tarot
Support the comic anthology celebrating & empowering queer witches of color everywhere!

The witch is labeled mischievous and evil because she defies her role, refusing to be silent, passive, or selfless. She is embraced by many as a feminist symbol, a gender outsider. “We are the granddaughters of the witches you couldn’t burn.”

Queer women of color are not the granddaughters of the witches who didn’t burn: We are the witches who are still on fire.

That’s why I decided to start a project with just us: because we shine our brightest together.

It’s common for creative people of color to find themselves in sparse company after joining a collaborative project. This is especially so for women of color and non-binary POC, as white supremacy and patriarchy love to work hand in hand. By April of 2016, I had amassed a collective of women of color, demigirls of color, and bigender people of color eager to realize my idea: a comics anthology about witches called POWER & MAGIC.

After many months of writing, drawing, editing, and promoting, we are nearing the final leg of our journey on Kickstarter.

The stories within are as multifaceted as their creators. Everything from finding love and embracing the unknown, to checking your power and testing your limits, is set against a backdrop of fantasy where powerful witches of color are the heroes of every tale.

Jemma Salume’s “Convolvere” is about a social butterfly witch whose power stems from the connections she makes with everyone around her.

“After The Dust Settles” by Ann Xu follows Jia, a teenage girl struggling to learn from her late grandmother’s grimoire without knowing how to read her ancestral language aloud.

i don't ship cockles. i don't ship cockles because rps in general was never my thing. And yet here i am, reading cockles drabbles, SUBSCRIBED to a flipping cockles wip EPIC, and it's all your fault. i want you to know that i resent this, but also you should update because that would be *winks, 👌, clicks tongue*. (i’m trying to update sometime today)

Lucked into a good deal for a bunch of Marvin Kaye-edited spooky story anthologies. I was rereading Patrick Dean’s 2013 Halloween Haint Book and he recommended them, and if I trust anyone’s taste, I trust Patrick’s. Edward Gorey covers!

Jared Harris to Star in AMC 'The Terror'

Jared Harris is returning to AMC. The Mad Men grad has signed on to star in the network’s anthology series The Terror, it was announced Thursday. Ciaran Hinds (Game of Thrones), Paul Ready (Cuffs) and Adam Nagaitis (Houdini and Doyle) have also come on board the project.

Based on Dan Simmons’ bestselling novel, The Terror takes place in 1847, when a Royal Naval expedition crew looking for the Northwest Passage is attacked by a mysterious predator that stalks the ships and their crew. A suspenseful and desperate game of survival subsequently unfolds.

Harris will play Francis Crozier, Captain of the HMS Terror and second in command of the expedition. He is a brilliant sailor and captain, but also an Irishman who has reached his glass ceiling in the British Royal Navy and has become disillusioned with its pomp and politics.

Hinds will play Sir John Franklin; Ready is set as Henry Goodsir; and Nagaitis will portray Cornelius Hickey. All three characters are integral members of the crew aboard the ships. As previously announced, Outlander and Game of Thrones favorite Tobias Menzies will play James Fitzjames, a member of the Royal Navy.

“The story of man’s battle with nature and an unknown predator makes The Terror a gripping and imaginative series, and calls for a special kind of actor,” Joel Stillerman, AMC and SundanceTV president of original programming and development, said. “We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Jared Harris and look forward to watching him transform into the complex and fascinating character of Captain Crozier. We are also delighted to work with this versatile and talented cast and share with audiences the despair and horror inside this journey of survival, hope and recognition.”

Planning things out(Long post)

So now that DR3 is over I feel the need to list out my plans. Out of everything I’m currently working on here’s what I plan to do before I pretty much stop putting too much time into this fandom anymore:

1. I will finish the Genocider Mode manga with @kamase-megane
2. I will finish DR 1&2 Anthology Volume 2 with @kamase-megane
3. I will finish SDR2 manga’s volume 1 and 2 with @thatanonperson
4. I will finish Danganronpa 2 Anthology volume 01 with Comun
5. I will finish Killer Killer with Comun
6. I will finish Danganronpa 2 4 komas volume 1 somehow. (Probably with @thatanonperson’s help)
7. I will finish the DR1 4 komas with @ahogehope (I will do all 3 volumes left if they will)
8. I will do DR1&2 Light (Probably with @thatanonperson)
9. I will finish the Chiaki Manga with @taichinchin (If they still wanna do it I mean)
10. I will finish Guren 5 with @jinjojess
11. I will finish the Danganronpa 3 Dengeki Anthology with @komaesa
12. I will somehow find someone to translate the famitsu DR1 manga and get the whole thing in English for everyone.
13. I will somehow find someone to translate the Danganronpa 1 Anthologies(Including the Animation one from Dengeki) and get them in English for everyone. I was working on one with Mino Spelgud but I haven’t heard from them in awhile.
14. I will update my Danganronpa page to have links for all the DR3 stuff(anime, manga, etc.) However I will not have anything for New Danganronpa V3 on it. Think of it as a “Hope’s Peak Arc” page rather than a page about EVERYTHING Danganronpa.
15. Yes I will still play V3

I know that seems like a lot of stuff, but it really isn’t, it’s just a matter of managing my time correctly and knowing where and when to ask for help. I have a new typesetter/redrawer on board with another one possibly joining in after I see their work, so even without me around SHSL Scans should be able to function.

Now for the stuff I’m in the air about and probably won’t get around to doing:

1. I want to do the Danganronpa Another Episode Anthologies, but I will just be honest and say I’m gonna be picky as fuck about which stories I’ll do and which I won’t. Probably won’t happen but I’ll make sure at the very least it gets translated by @jinjojess and someone helps me with getting it all typeset.
2. I’m unsure about the DR:AE manga. I don’t mind doing the rest but who knows when it’ll end so it mostly is gonna be if @kamase-megane’s still interested after DR1&2
3. I will not do SDR2 4 koma volumes 2-4. I don’t have raws and I’m sure someone else can handle them anyways, most likely @thatanonperson.
4. I will not do SDR2 Anthologies volumes 2-4. I have raws for two but by the time I finish volume 1 I most likely will not have the drive for it anymore. Comun will most likely still be interested in translating it, so all I’d need is a typesetter/redrawer on it.
5. I will not do Danganronpa 3’s Anthology from DNA Media. I don’t have that strong of an interest at the moment, if I can get a TL and a typesetter I can still release it as SHSL Scans though, so that might be cool.
6. I will not do Zetsubou Carnival, that is gonna be done by @thatanonperson last I heard.
7. I will not do the Souda manga. If a translator and typesetter wanna do it for SHSL Scans, that’d be cool.
8. I will not do any new announced spin offs or manga concerning SDR2 or DR3. DR0, DR1 and DRAE are open game depending on what they’re about. (This implies DR0 will get anything.)
9. I will not do any New Danganronpa V3 manga.

With all of that listed out and in the open now, I will make clear that SHSL Scans is NOT dead. I am still looking for translators, typesetters and redrawers for a lot of these manga, specifically ANY Danganronpa 1 manga. It is just that I personally will not be handling them all like I had originally intended. It may sound a bit selfish but I will now just work on what I want to work on and give the other stuff to any fellow typesetters who would like to help the group out.

If anyone has interest in helping or just have any questions for me concerning anything feel free to send an ask, send a message or email me

Thanks for reading through huge post and I hope it’ll tide you over concerning the various DR manga. - Manlyronpa

I am absolutely HYPED for October, because both the new WicDiv and Low comic anthologies are coming out and although I have been keeping up on WicDiv and know exACTLY what happens, I have no idea what happened in Low since issue 10 and I am READY!!!!
Sandra Oh Plots TV Return With ABC's 'American Crime'

She joins fellow American Crime stars set to return for season three including Timothy Hutton, Felicity Huffman, Regina King, Lili Taylor, Richard Cabral and Connor Jessup. Ridley and Michael McDonald exec produce the ABC Studios drama. American Crime returns in 2017. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
