But you guys have no idea what an anthem “Castle On The Hill” is to us people from middle England like Ed…….. It’s the idea that you hated where you came from when the fields were boring and a symbol of all you haven’t seen yet….but when you’re older and the city has you tired and feeling lost, they’re not flat and boring anymore; they’re home.
I’ve always been fully committed to changing the screaming fifth and screaming octave narrative when trumpet players play the national anthem. My bro Marquis Hill played it ever so elegantly at a Trailblazers game in February. He crushed it and I basically got my rendition of it from him. Here’s the “Star-Spangled Banner” the right way. 😌
