Everyone was still attempting to recover from what happened. It happened out of the blue (like his color! hah *cries*) as far as everyone was concerned Lance has no reason to do it. None at all.
Shiro was the first one to receive the tapes. He was on his way to his room after a long day of training. He nearly tripped on the box as he entered the room. He hesitantly picked the box up and entered his room. He slightly laughed when he opened the box and saw..tapes? Where did these come from? He hasn’t seen a tape in years.
Shiro carefully picked up the tape that said 1A on it, written in blue handwriting. Shiro glanced around his room, looking for something to play the tapes on when he noticed the tape player in the box.
Shiro pulled it out and decided he would listen to one then clean up and go to dinner.
He soon realized that he would not stick to that plan.
Shiro placed the headphones on his head and pressed play on the first tape. He was greeted with static then Lances voice crackling through the headphones ‘
Hello space pals and gals. Lance McClain here. Live and in stereo…’
Shiro’s eyes widened at what he heard. He was paralyzed, and listened to the rules that Lance put in place.
How would he e- Shiro’s thoughts were cut off by Lance saying “First and foremost, our mighty and heroic leader, Shiro.”
Shiro knew he had to listen.
Shiro sat on his bed shaking. He felt sick to his stomach. He couldn’t move from his spot on the bed. He knew that he could be hard on Lance, he just didn’t consider the negative effect on the poor boy.
He had listened to all the tapes. Everyone one of them. He now knew why. Shiro shakily took the head phones off and put everything back in the box.
He fought back tear and barely register when Keith called him for dinner. As he walked out of the room he placed the box back in front of his door. He was grateful when he found the box gone when he returned.
Keith was the next one to receive the box. He found it on his bed when he was walking back from the pool. Swimming was the only thing he could do to feel close Lance.
He noticed the box but decided to open it after his shower.
One he was all cleaned up he put the box on his desk and opened it. He carefully examined all the tapes one by one. Keith picked up the headphones and pressed play on the first one. He was also greeted with static and Lances voice breaking through “ Hello space pals and gals. Lance McClain here. Live and in stereo…”
Keith nearly through the headphones across the room but he listened to the rules instead.
He wasn’t sure what emotion was stronger during Shiros tape. Empathy or anger. So Shiro killed Lance, he wanted to make Shiro pay until he switched the tape and heard what he didn’t want to hear.
“Can you guess our number two?? Well, I’ll give you a hint. It’s not me this time. *laughs* First time being number two, our excellent number one paladin, Keith!”
Keith was frozen I killed Lance too?
Keith was crying by the time Hunk’s tape was over. He was crying for his lost friends and a relationship that would never happen. He never intended to hurt Lance, yet he did. Keith put the tapes away, placed the box on his bed and sat inside Lance’s room trying to feel any part of Lance. Slightly relived when he found the box gone the next day.
Pidge was next on the list, she found the box when she walked into Green’s hanger.
“What’s this?” Pidge received a growl in response, like Green was upset with her. “Why are you mad?”
Pidge sat down in front of Green and opened the box. She dumped out the tapes and sorted them by order. She knew immediately that they were Lance’s, she was there when he bought them at the space mall a few months back. She also picked on him for that and called him stupid, but hey she was tired that day and wanted to go play her new game, not wait for Lance buy tapes.
Pidge put in the first tape and listened to Lances voice break through and the rules he put in place.
She could already tell where this was going ‘fuck’
Pidge started at nothing as she let the headphones fall into her lap. She knew that this was her fault as much as the others but she hurt Lance where it really did hurt. Family. Lance was a family person and just wanted to feel some connection to Earth. She couldn’t be bothered to help him with it, even though he only wanted to help her.
Pidge unconsciously put the tapes back in the box and sat inside Green while she cried for a brother she lost.
Hunk received the tapes in the kitchen. He pulled the tapes out and decided he would listen to them as he cooked, he wouldn’t get far.
Hunk had all of the supplies out on the counter, he had the first tape ready. However as soon as he pressed play, he broke down in a wet sob. It was Lance, It was his voice. After listening to the rules, Hunk didn’t want to hear what Lance had to say.
Hunk was on the floor crying. He knew that something was bothering Lance, but he didn’t think that it was this major. One check in could’ve have saved his best friend but Hunk couldn’t be bothered. Hunk feel asleep curled up on the floor, when he woke the tapes where gone.
Allura was the next person to receive the box. They were placed on the control panel. Allura (thinking that it was music) decided to listen to it when she took a relaxing bath. She had to adjust the headphones multiple times to make sure she was actually hearing Lance.
How did he do this?
Allura decided figure out what this was about.
The water was cold around Allura. She never knew how much she stressed Lance out. She didn’t know how much he struggled with trying to be perfect. She couldn’t even defend herself, everything Lance said was true.
After she dried herself off she put the box back in the control room and walked away.
This was Lance’s tape so the box immediately went to the next person.
Coran the last person to receive the tapes. He found them when he was cleaning the healing pods for the 10th time. He already cleaned the entire castle 4 times but he needed to stay distracted.
Coran wiped his brow and sat down in front of one of the pods. He examined the tapes carefully, and slowly put the headphones on. Coran started crying as soon as Lance’s cheerful voice came through. He missed that boy so much.
Coran wiped his eyes for the 5th time. He knew something was off last time Lance came to him about his problems. He was aware that he over talked Lance, he just never thought about the consequences. Coran put the tapes back and put his face in his hands. He listen to the mice drag the box out of the room, removing the only piece of Lance the team had left.
Thank you so much for this! It’s just past 1am right now and I’m crying.
There have already been many great films so far this year, so I felt it worth doing a run down of my favourite films of the year so far. These all reflect the cinema releases we’ve had so far in the UK in 2017 - for that reason this list includes some films that were released in the US in 2016. Enjoy, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the best films of the year so far!
Honourable mentions: Their Finest, Colossal, Gifted
1. Get Out, dir. Jordan Peele
This film really knocked me for six, to such an extent that I simply had to see it twice in the cinema. It got even better upon a re-watch, when I was able to watch it with full knowledge of the characters’ underlying motives and the things to come. It’s a terrifying concept (the racism of an all-white suburb is taken to a horrifying extreme) executed with incredible panache, and you feel every emotion that Chris goes through thanks to Daniel Kaluuya’s excellent performance. Get Out also represents one of the most brilliantly communal experiences I’ve ever had at the cinema - I won’t spoil it, but let’s just say that the audience erupted into spontaneous applause at a key moment in the climax. Simply fantastic.
2. The Handmaiden, dir. Park Chan-wook
This film is exquisite - it’s first and foremost a beautiful boundary-smashing love story, and an absolutely marvellous tale of female defiance. It transplants Sarah Waters’ novel Fingersmith to 1930s Korea, and the story is effortlessly adapted to become intrinsically interwoven with its new setting. Sookee is a talented pickpocket plucked from a thieves den and sent as a handmaiden to trick a rich heiress into falling for a conman. To say any more would spoil the twists, but this film is just a masterwork of suspense, keeping you guessing throughout a series of interlocking pieces that take their time to reveal their secrets. I’ve seen the theatrical cut and the extended version, and they’re both great - you’re in for a treat with either.
3. Jackie, dir. Pablo Larrain
This is a film that soars on the strength of Natalie Portman’s incredible performance, which is complemented by Mica Levi’s haunting score. Portman’s performance is painfully vivid, with her agony and wretchedness coming through so intensely that it’s often uncomfortable to watch. Jackie is probably the best portrait of grief I’ve ever seen, and it sucks you into a famous historic event by providing an incredibly intimate perspective on it. This is great cinema, but be prepared for suffering.
4. A Cure for Wellness, dir. Gore Verbinski
This is a delightfully strange Gothic fairy tale of a film, and I’m amazed and impressed that a Hollywood studio gave Gore Verbinski a budget sufficient to pull it off with such beauty and style. I’ve seen this film attract love and hate in equal measure, but I adore it - the trailers set you up for a rehash of Shutter Island, but nothing could be further from the truth beyond the isolated setting. If I had to compare this to anything, I would compare it to Roger Corman’s Poe cycle of films from the 1960s - it has a similarly lurid sensibility and a deep-seated sense of fantastic romanticism at its core. Great if you’re after something uncompromisingly bonkers.
5. Wonder Woman, dir. Patty Jenkins
This film represented pure joy for me - I couldn’t have anticipated how emotional I was going to get at witnessing a (wonder!)woman crossing No Man’s Land and deflecting bullets with her bracelets. This simultaneously rejects the wry self-awareness of the Marvel films and the grim self-importance of the previous DC movies, instead unabashedly depicting a superhero who triumphs thanks to her overriding belief in love and compassion. Patty Jenkins adds endless little touches - from funny moments to quiet scenes where characters talk simply to learn about each other - that enrich the film and make it feel vivid and intimate in a very rare and special way.
6. Silence, dir. Martin Scorsese
This is truly the work of a master filmmaker, and it represents a stunning artistic achievement and a moving and intelligent investigation of the threshold of faith. Scorsese tried to get this made for decades before finally succeeding, and his passion for and belief in the project shine through in every painstakingly crafted frame. Silence is equal parts beauty and brutality, and it uses this contrast to illuminate the painful questions that the faithful must ask themselves when faced with the harsh reality of the present world. It’s heavy stuff, but well worth your time if you’re up for a film that raises more questions than it answers.
7. In This Corner of the World, dir. Sunao Katabuchi
I had no idea this film existed until a few days before I saw it, but I was really struck by its poetic treatment of the joys and tragedies of life. This film follows a young bride who moves to live with her husband’s family in WWII-era Japan, and while it deals unflinchingly with the trauma and horror of war - particularly the bombing of Hiroshima - it’s also surprisingly funny and ultimately hopeful. The power of this film comes through in the little moments of human connection and the way that the full potential of animation is exploited to maximum effect.
8. La La Land, dir. Damien Chazelle
A lovely ode to the classic Hollywood musical, La La Land is a technical marvel that sticks with me because of its heart and humanity (those words are recurring a lot, right?). It tells a very small story of a love affair between two dreamers in Hollywood, but it feels much bigger than them because of the way in which their story is told. La La Land draws from influences across the spectrum of cinema, and its homages to the classics are joyful and loving. The final ‘what might have been’ sequence represents the perfect marriage of raw emotion and filmmaking virtuosity.
9. Okja, dir. Bong Joon-ho
Not many films can balance flatulence jokes with uncompromising critique of capitalist greed, but Okja pulls it off with aplomb. The core story hinges on the innocent and endearing friendship between a young girl named Mija and a bio-engineered super pig called Okja, and the film succeeds because you totally buy their connection and desperately want the two of them to have their wish and live together in the mountains. I’m delighted that Netflix gave Bong Joon-ho a platform to make such a weird beast.
10. Logan, dir. James Mangold
Logan may be bleak, but that isn’t what makes it great - Logan is fantastic cinema because it remembers that superheroes are still people who struggle with their own souls as much as super-villains. This film features the best character work managed in any of the X-Men films, and Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and - in particular - Dafne Keen give heart-rending performances that really ground the film and give it an emotional core. I hope we get more superhero films like this, and that the takeaway from it for the industry is the importance of stressing character rather than frantic spectacle.
Most anticipated films still to come: War for the Planet of the Apes, Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets, Dunkirk, The Beguiled, Mother!, Logan Lucky, Blade Runner 2049, Murder on the Orient Express, The Shape of Water, Annihilation, Star Wars: The Last Jedi
I remember reading a looong, long time ago, when Lads leaked season 7 that another user debunked his spoilers, saying they were just a part of the plot and that while everything Lads said was true, J0n would actually realize somehow, by the end of the season that he loved Sansa. You remember that? I can't even find the link anymore *cries in despair*. Was it debunked? I CAN'T BE DREAMING ABOUT THIS, I REALLY REMEMBER READING SOMETHING LIKE THAT lol

Currently on tour, BTS’ popularity has crossed borders and is spreading around the world!
RAP MONSTER: We came to many countries but Brazil left the most impression on me. I learned for the first that through the local news that they set up tents and stayed outside the concert venue few days ahead to buy our concert tickets. JIMIN: I was really surprised! SUGA: We travel around the world but mostly we just stay inside the hotel. I use the remaining time to make music there. That’s why I always carry around music equipment. RAP MONSTER: You have a pot too. (laughs) He uses an electric pot to boil water and cook ramyeon or instant food he brought from Korea to eat. J-HOPE: It’s really important. I bring a pillow too. It’s not too firm or too soft and fits my neck perfectly. I don’t have to worry even if the hotel’s pillow doesn’t fit! JIN: I play guitar which I’m into lately in the hotel. We all do what each of us wants. V: I bring my favorite book of Gogh and read it. JUNGKOOK: I’m listening to music on my speaker… But the other members often scold me. V: They said it’s too noisy. (laughs) J-HOPE: When we say so he lowers the volume. (laughs) One time Rap Monster scolded him and he turned the volume down, but he couldn’t hear the sound like that so he brought the speaker to his ears to listen. I laughed and asked if he did all of that so he could listen on speaker. JUNGKOOK: I told you the sound is different! RAP MONSTER: What does Jimin bring? JIMIN: I don’t bring anything special. Bringing myself is enough ♡
The real side of each person only the members know.
JIMIN: Our leader Rap Monster-hyung is a clumsy “destruction god”. Not just breaking stuffs, he also loses his phone time to time, tripping when there’s nothing around, or spilling coffee and stain Jin-hyung’s shirt… It happens a lot. (laughs) SUGA: But he’s really smart. He’s got an excellent language ability and he’s the best at Japanese. RAP MONSTER: I’m embarrassed~ V: J-hope is the dance leader, he dances the best. He’s also reliable and takes care of us well. J-HOPE: I’m just doing my job. JUNGKOOK: Are you being humble? (laughs) J-HOPE: I’m serious. (laughs) RAP MONSTER: Jin-hyung - the matnae* - takes care of us well too. He likes food so he cooks for us at the dorm or… JIN: I’m busy recently so I can’t cook at all. I’m not eating a lot for my diet too. SUGA: He shares a room with me. I hate when it’s loud so he always stays quiet for my sake. I like quietness and hate when there are too many people. RAP MONSTER: He suddenly talks about himself when we’re talking about other members. Suga-hyung is really “mypace”**. And he’s always spaced out and lethargic. (laughs) SUGA: I’m lethargic because I need to prepare my energy for music. Told you it all has a meaning! Jimin is “Slow Jimin”, this one word is enough. J-hope is the fastest and Jimin is the slowest. That’s the daily life of BTS. JIN: But Jimin works harder than anyone else. He always dances or sings in the waiting room RAP MONSTER: Is it the result of his effort? He has a cute face and great muscles. SUGA: But… He’s always late. ALL: (laugh) JIMIN: Let’s talk about V next. JUNGKOOK: He really is an amazing person. V: I’m not amazing~ JUNGKOOK: He says that but he’s really amazing. (laughs) He talks out of the topic or question, even when everyone else is all “?”, he ignores and continues. And he forcefully makes everyone understand him. V: I’m working hard on talking to the point too! But what can I do when I can’t think of anything? It’s hard for me too! J-HOPE: I didn’t know that. (laughs) Our maknae Jungkook, as you can see, he’s perfectly handsome. V: Is he always handsome like that? Hmh, is he…? When he sleeps… (giggles) JUNGKOOK: What? (nervous) J-HOPE: Nothing, you’re handsome when you seep too. It’s okay. (laughs)
*matnae: mathyung (eldest hyung) + maknae **mypace: living or doing things without being affected by other people’s opinions or actions
The never-ending chatter of men! The close-knitted 7 people. When asked “What boosts your mood up?”, nearly all of them answered “The members”.
JIN: Sometimes we need to go work on our own… I indeed gets bored. It’s the same when we film individual cuts for music videos, if the members aren’t around I feel lonely. JIMIN: The one who boosts my mood up is our maknae Jungkook. He’s mischievous so he always makes us laugh. But Jungkook said he likes tasty food more than me… JUNGKOOK: Tasty food makes me happy ♡ If there’s food in front of me, I would take a bite out of happiness. Even if I’m full, it’s fine. I’ll get hungry soon after I sleep for a bit. I can keep eating all the time. (laughs)
For the question “What do you want to have at the moment?”, the answers of these 7 people who are busy everyday are!
RAP MONSTER: Time. I want to have some time with my family. I want to travel with my family. We had a concert in Japan last year and my parents along with my sister went on a trip. I couldn’t go with them… I was really upset. J-HOPE: I have never had a family trip before too. I want to travel with my family! JUNGKOOK: I want to travel too. To America or Japan. Who do I want to go with? (glances at J-hope sitting beside) J-hope-hyung ♡ J-HOPE: Wow! I’m happy! Jungkook finally knew how to live in life. (laughs) V: I want to have time too, but I want to have paintings more. I like Gogh the most. There are around 10 paintings in my room. JUNGKOOK: Are they real? J-HOPE: If those are real they would cost hundreds of millions. (laughs) JIN: I want to have an island. I filmed on some island last time and they said it can be bought with 30 billion. RAP MONSTER: You don’t need to buy an island. We’re going to Hawaii or Okinawa anyway. (laughs) Oh snap, it’s time to end the interview! Let’s greet properly for the ending. SUGA: Please listen to our single “Blood, Sweat & Tears” a lot and look forward to our Japan tour too. Please give BTS a lot of love! RAP MONSTER: Our hearts are always… Seventeen ♡
1. Don’t mope around and keep beating yourself up. That will only distract you from your studying, and stop you from doing your best in other subjects.
2. Remember a bad grade is only a bad grade. It doesn’t mean you’re worthless or have failed as a person.
3. Try and find a way to let your feelings out through some kind of physical activity. For example, through running, jogging, or going to the gym.
4. Aim to do better on the next test you have. There will still be other tests where you can get a higher mark. Maybe see it as a wake-up call, and change your study habits.
5. Try and figure out why you received the bad grade. Do you need to study more, or to learn some new techniques? Did you not fully understand the course material? Did you just have a bad day, or were you tired or feeling sick?
6. Get extra help from your teachers if you need it. Most of them are happy to answer students’ questions.
7. Be determined to keep going and to persevere. It’s easier to do well with a good attitude.
Kakashi being a dad to his team 7's brats is the best aesthetic
look at him
he is such a dad
to these brats
no one can convince me that kakashi didn’t mentally adopt these three children as his own
even tho he says his first impression of the group is that he hates them
he really loves them so much because those are his babies and look at them!! they’re growing up!! and doing stuff!! and becoming powerful ninjas!! and they’re paving the way for a better life and they’re all ALIVE and creating families of their own!! and even tho kakashi never got married or had biological kids, i don’t think he cares because in Team 7 he ended up making a family for himself
yes, all of the Team 7 brats are his children, even Sweet Potato and Art Heaux
