“You’re really wondering why I left you after class? Really? Once again, you haven’t been listening to any of my lectures and you’re just buzzing around. University isn’t compulsory. You can drop any time you want.” klaus rose his eyebrows as he leaned against his desk.
Maureen watched Clare warily, knowing the half-fae crashed straight into Dangerous Boredom when Damon wasn’t around to entertain her. Usually, Clare would resort to messing with Stiles, making cracks about everything from his freckles to his clothes until he stormed out of the room in a huff.
But the guys weren’t here, and Maureen hadn’t been prepared for Clare-sitting.
“Oh! I have an idea!”
Maureen groaned feebly, because those were The Words To Fear. “What is it?” she asked, pursing her lips together awkwardly, because suddenly Clare was all up in her business, bright blue eyes locked on her face in a disturbing way.
Clare grinned, pulling back just enough to bring her thumb and index finger together, sucking in an exaggerated breath.
Maureen laughed, because the face Clare made had been hilarious. And then suddenly she realized what the other girl had been trying to get across.
“Oh. No, no way, Clare, I don’t do that.”
Clare’s grin widened in a way that clearly said ‘Just you wait.’
