Top 5 Challenge: Free Dance

1. Tessa Virtue / Scott Moir: Latch

Aw man, this makes me sad to write. I think the reason why this is one of my favorite programs ever is that it was so enjoyable to watch the evolution of the program over the season. Every element was to music, the raw emotion was always present, the way they effortlessly glide across the ice is mesmerizing and artistry within the piece was seamless. An amazing program that I will miss so much.

2. Madison Hubbell / Zachary Donohue: I Wanna Dance With Somebody

This free dance was beautiful. I absolutely loved the music, I loved the costumes, I loved all of the elements. I loved it

3. Anna Capellini / Luca Lanotte: Chaplin Medley

Aw Anna and Luca have a special place in my heart. They’re beautiful skaters and I feel like they are under appreciated so here I am appreciating this program.

4. Kaitlyn Weaver / Andrew Poje: Aranjuez

So crisp, and intense, and beautiful, and romantic, and I loved it.

5. Ekaterina Bobrova / Dmitri Soloviev: Chopin

Love this team. A classic free dance that was super elegant and technically very well executed.

Top 5 Challenge: Exhibition

1. Tessa Virtue / Scott Moir: Sorry

What can I say. This is a problematic fave because I liked it at first then I was so tired of it. But I mean I’m glad they keep doing the goose.

2. Kaitlyn Weaver / Andrew Poje: Second Here

LOVE LOVE LOVE every single part of this almost enough to hope it could be part of a free dance.

3. Anna Capellini / Luca Lanotte: Tango Lesson

This will never not be hilarious and entertaining.

And I only have 3. There was lots of ex pieces I liked but not as much as these ones. An honorable mention goes to Madison and Evan though because I thought their’s was fun.

Thanks @balletfever89 for putting this little challenge together :)

Short Dance, 1st place

ISU European Figure Skating Championship Budapest 2014

Here’s today’s medal count, and Norway is taking the lead followed by Canada and Netherlands.

Yes, you’re the coolest, Norway~ *slapped*

On the other hand, Russia doesn’t have any medal so far…

BUT, and I said it, its athletes were dominating the skating rink as they came in 3rd place for Short Dance, 1st place for Pair Free, and 1st place for Ladies’ short.

In other words, Russia’s holding on to the  1st place standing~

and it’s all thanks to:

Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitri Soloviev

Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov (I REALLY LOVE their performance! Not only that I like the theme-the Addams Family-everything is just perfect! Pure awesomeness!)

and of course, the young and talented Yulia Lipnitskaya- a 15-year-old prodigy.

(You should have been very proud of her, Russia. You should)

The only pairing that I like so far for the Short Dance would be Anna Capellini and Luca Lanotte.

I really like their costumes, and they’re such a nice-looking couple :3

Oh, and Charlie White is looking like a Victorian dude or something which is pretty cool (‘3’)-b

and that coolness leads him and his partner, Meryl Davis, to the 1st place~

There is an injury of course and that would be from Stefania Berton, who fell and injured her hip. Nevertheless, the Italians made it to the 3rd place.

I hope she’s going to be okay (´﹏`)

On to Men’s Slopestyle, it’s a great triumph for Canada as young Mark McMorris took the first Bronze medal with Staale Sandbech took the Silver and Sage Kotsenburg took the Gold medal!

Congratulations for all of you~~~

Norway really takes a lead because, beside Staale, Ole Einar Bjoerndalen took the Gold medal for Men’s 10 km Sprint Biathlon alongside Marit Bjoergen and Heidi Weng, who took both Gold and Bronze medals from Cross Country Ladies Skiathlon!

Marit also brought a tribute for a fellow teammate whose brother died a day ago. Therefore, there’s a mix of joy and sadness for the Norwegian theme.

Now here’s something that will cheer one’s up: Sven Kramer created an Olympic Record, and took the Gold medal, in Men’s 5000m Speed Skating!

Congratulations for you~~~!!!

The next ones will be for the fellow Canadians and Americans: Canada beat Switzerland (5 - 0) in Women’s Ice Hockey!

As well as U.S.A beating Finland by 3 - 1!!!

Hell yeah :3

Finally, Canada receives a Gold Medal from Justine Dufour-Lapointe on Freestyle Skiing Ladies’ Mogul!!!

Alongside sister, Chloe, who took the Silver Medal!!!

and Hannah Kearney, who took Bronze medal!!!

So that’s all for today folks, and now I will be having my lunch, and is looking forward for the next day of the Olympics~

and I hope you do, too ;)

bye now~~,
