To theynevergrewup, I enjoyed Norwegian Wood, After Dark, Kafka on The Shore, and Sputnik Sweetheart. I agree that Norwegian Wood has the most linear storytelling of all his books and it's probably the easiest to get into. After Dark is simple, yet ominous. It has unresolved plotlines, though. Kafka on The Shore, like Norwegian Wood, is kind of a coming-of-age story, but very surreal and has lots of WTF moments. Sputnik Sweetheart deals with loneliness and it stays with you for a long time.
Thank you for this. Personally, I don`t think I`m ready to read another one of his works at the moment. 1Q84 was enough (or too much) for me. :/
